A huge selection of very creative pastries. Got the Ube eclair which was delicious. Inside it is this Ube cream that wasn't too sweet. Service was also good and fast.

You can never go wrong at Supermoon Bakehouse if you're looking for innovative, high-quality croissants. If you're a sucker for orange chocolate treats like I am, they brought the popular Mont Blanc coffee from Australia to NYC, and even turned it into a pain au chocolat version! It had been about a year since my last visit, so I was happy to see they finally added some seating inside the bakery. *Mont Blanc Twice-Baked Pain au Chocolat $10** Literally my dream combo. Stuffed with a THICK layer of espresso brownie batter. The orange coffee whipped cream plus orange zest made the bitter and citrusy flavors work so well together. Still sad they sold out of the Mont Blanc drink that day... *Ramp and Leek Croissant $8.5* While their sweet pastries get all the hype, don't sleep on this savory croissant. The ramp and leek cream cheese was so good I wish they sold it separately. The croissant itself was very buttery and crispy. *Milk and Honey Sticky Bun Croissant $9.5 The milk and burnt honey crème filling was super light and overflowing. But with the glaze, honeycomb topping, and filling all together, it ended up being too sweet for my taste.

Supermoon had long been on my radar, but I wasn't in a rush to visit. It seemed like just another bakery specializing in French technique. Places like these are a dime a dozen, so how could this be any different from all the other pain au chocolats and croissants in the city? Turns out I was very wrong. You won't find these flavors in any ol' boulangerie. The milk and honey sticky bun was a Master Class in savory and salty treats. The glaze covered every curve and crevice, and, when cut in half, delicious fillings oozed from within its flaky, airy layers. I was making declarations of love with every bite. The ramp and leek croissant was just as superb and just as generously filled with cream cheese. The flavors were wonderfully herby. This, too, elicited many words of praise. I ordered a matcha, blood orange and Calpico Italian cream soda to wash it all down. This was the most exciting, unique, complex matcha drink I've ever had. It was pleasantly sweet, refreshing, and you can taste a hint of the blood orange! I'm now kicking myself for waiting so long to come here. What I thought would be another basic French bakery blew me away with its inventive flavors. Best believe, I will be coming here again!

I came here a Friday evening and was worried they'd be sold out of the pastries I wanted but it seemed like they were only sold out of one. They have a great way to showcasing all of the pastries they had and I ended up sharing the passion fruit donut (10/10 not too sweet but the filling was to die for) and the milk and honey sticky bun croissant which I saw on their insta (8/10) m. The croissant was good but the photo that they had online made it looked like it was super filled but the one we got barely had any inside. Overall I'd come here for what's inside the pastries as that's really what elevates this place!

This really reminded me of Lune Croissanterie in Australia because of the way that the pastries are all displayed in a line on a stainless steel counter, so it was really funny that the owner is actually Australian! I've been meaning to come here for a few years now, but finally made the trek for the first time recently. I am sad that they no longer have the cool iridescent bags, but I think the brown paper bags are more reusable/environmentally friendly. There is no outdoor seating available, only indoor seating. The space is one large open cube I would call it, and when we were there, there was no line, but all of the seats were taken. I tried the pain au chocolat and the strawberry jasmine sticky bun croissant, and the latter was definitely my favorite!!!! It was sooooo good. I felt like I had better pain au chocolats before, but I appreciate that they use real chocolate and not a cream.

We stopped by Superman Bakehouse for a pre-dinner dessert since we had a pretty late reservation. The interior is hard to miss -- very retro neon with a dimly interior that was almost futuristic. UBE PANDAN ICE CREAM SANDWICH - 11 This is crazy steep for an ice cream sandwich. That said, it was quite good. The ube pandan combo isn't novel, but we were impressed that the flavors were very bold, despite both being lighter flavors. We noticed the flavor actually changes depending on how you bite it -- more ube if you hit pandan first, and more pandan if you go the other way around. Pretty cool! It was definitely on the sweeter side (a bit too sweet for me), but still enjoyable for a couple bites. Overall, a fun stop and a solid pre-dinner treat, especially if you're killing time in the LES neighborhood.

There is a french person out there scoffing at me right now, because this was probably my all time favorite pain au chocolat I've ever had. Supermoon prides itself on unique pastries, and unique pastries they must have! Think cornflake cookies, dan dan danishes, and banana pudding cruffins. Inside is almost like walking in a museum, stony interior with a display of single pastries acting as a menu. I ended up with a twice baked espresso brownie pain au chocolat. The layers were so crunchy and flaky, and the chocolate interior was so decadent. I honestly would have finished that entire hand sized pastry in one sitting had I not had mac and cheese earlier. The espresso brownie pieces on top tasted like actual fudge brownie pieces, and not those wimpy little pieces you find in ice cream. The cardamom cream, I will admit, did not mesh well with me. Personal opinion, Im not a cardamom and chocolate person. However, separately, that was the move. Plenty of creamy cardamom taste throughout. They do offer gelato and drinks as well. But definitely looking towards visiting them again to try their rotational menu!

Love this little place! They have tasty treats and are open all day (until 10pm)! Both savory and sweet items are available. My favorites are the ube eclair and ube and pandan ice cream sandwich (which is HUGE). Know that some items may sell out through the day. Close to a subway stop (1 block) so easily accessible. There's a few seats available. Service is quick, you place your order and they prepare in the back and call your name when it's ready. The employees aren't overly friendly but they get the job done.

It's a small but cute little bakery with a little bit of seating space. We ordered the ube eclair and two passion fruit donuts to go. The service was quick and friendly. Presentation wise, I really like how they give you the donut in a cup, though I didn't realize that there was a good reason for that. The passion fruit donut is filled in completely with delicious filling, and if you remove that cup, you're going to have a mess on your hands...a very tasty, sexy mess. You bite down from the top and it will spill out from the bottom. I definitely would not eat this anywhere but home. I took a star away because they're a little pricey, but it would work as a nice occasional treat. I would definitely come back.

    Ube Eclair
    Christopher M.

I stumbled upon Supermoon on our way to Katz and this place impressed. I ordered the Ube Eclair and the Mrs. ordered a doughnut filled with Passion Fruit Custard. Ube Eclair: As a Filipino American, Ube can be a flavor that is well executed or used as a gimmick for its vibrant color and flavor curiosity. This Eclair was well executed and I was thoroughly impressed. The pastry (or dough?) had great texture: flaky but firm and delicate at the same time. The Ube shines through in the Eclair filling. The filling had traditional eclair vibes with upfront sweetness but not at the level of tooth decaying. The subtle sweetness of the Ube comes through well in the eclair filling. If you're unfamiliar with Ube flavors then this is a great first time to try. Doughnut with Passionfruit Filling: fresh pillowy dough with a sugary coating. Passionfruit is not my cup of tea but my wife enjoyed it. Great spot with multiple options for someone with a sweet tooth!!

Supermoon is one of my favorite bakeries in NYC and I always make it a point to stop by if I am in East Village. This time I specifically went to get their Pandan/Kaya Jam donut but it wasn't on the menu anymore - even though it was on their online menu, womp womp! So instead, I got a scoop each of the Ube, Condensed Milk & Honey Joys and the Pandan & Kaya Jam gelato. Their gelatos are so luscious and the Ube/Pandan flavors are so prominent! Give them a try if you haven't and you will not look back. Their Crème Brûlée Danish is also dangerously good!

I came around 9+pm and there were only 5-ish pastries left, which was expected. I would love to come again to try some of their more famous pastries! I managed to snag a pina colada old fashioned donut ($8.44 post-tax), and I loved how coconut-y it was! however the texture was more dense-cake-like and I wish there was more pineapple or tropical elements

    Muoi H.

While vacationing in NY and it's over social media to stop by to get their pastries!! Staff were friendly and attentive with a open seating area to share the items!! We got couple pastries to try, for me the plain crossiant was on the dry side , the KA was good with generous filling but too sweet for me! Passionfruit dough was probably my fav out of the 3, the dough was fluffy enough with a tart generous curd fillings (wish it wasn't coated with too much sugar! Worth a stop to try it yourself

Do they get sold out early? Will only be able to go 2 hours before closing st the earliest so I'm wondering if it's worth the trip

Yes the tend to sell out of their most popular items. I last visited the shop in person in March on a Saturday around 3pm At that time I intended to buy 10 things based on their online menu. 4 were sold out but I substituted 2 for others and left…

Do we have to bring our own bags/boxes to this place, I've read you charge $5 for a box?

This cannot be true. I've gone a few times in the past month and they box and bag everything for you. No extra charge.…

What happened to the display dessert at the end of the day?

Do they have any vegan options?

    Nqo

How are their pastries towards the end of the day? Still good or getting stale?

I bought my pastry around 6:30 PM and it was still deliciously flakey and fresh!

Does anyone know whether they offer non-dairy milk options for coffee/teas?

    Yes! Almond & oat!

    Do they have vegan options?

    I did not see any

Are the soft serves served all day long since opening (8:00 am)?

    I think so.

    Any gluten free treats available?

Not too sure, you might want to either give a call or check the website.

Any idea what the slow time for this place. I really don't wanna wait in line?

The wait time is not long at all. You just have to be there early because they sell out of certain things quickly, so it's more of an availability issue. Wait time for me was less than 5 minutes.

Does the cruffin sell out fast? New flavor everyday?

    YES & YES :)

What are the hours of operation?

They open at 8am everyday Monday to Sunday

What are the prices for each of the items? any photos of a menu?

It ranges depending on what you get, but donuts and a plain croissant is $4ish, while the savory croissants are $6.50/$7. I forgot what their cruffin price was - maybe $7? They don't have a menu, but the prices are taped onto that pink marble slab…

Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
