I've been to the Sweet Maple close to home, and this place provided the same outstanding service! After a 45 minute wait, we were seated for breakfast. We perused the menu, and made our order. While waiting for our food, which took 15 minutes to arrive, we sipped on some cappuccinos and water. The coffee was great, and got me very wired as it was my second coffee of the morning. The food was amazing! Very tasty and good potions. It hit the spot, and we walked out of there satistied and a bit comatose. The service was great. Our server was friendly. A really solid spot for brunch in the city! Sweet Maple is super popular, and it shows in the lines. However, if you come in a smaller party the wait is definitely not as bad -- my boyfriend and I came on a Saturday around 1pm and we only needed to wait around 15 minutes. There's quite a bit of seating inside and outside as well. I was really impressed by the food here, but the price definitely hurt a little. We ordered: Marnier French Toast - sooooo good. This was decadent and sweet and had such a wonderful texture. There's a distinct citrus flavor in the sauce, and it's presented beautifully as well. Blackstone benedict - delicious as well. The benedict itself was solid, and the millioinaire's bacon was so flavorful (albeit a little hard to chew). The potatoes were really yummy as well. It's a large portion and will definitely leave you full. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful as well, with lots of hanging lights. There's also a large TV for entertainment in the middle. I really loved the food here, but I gotta say that for the price ($22 for a benedict :'( ) it's definitely a splurge. Btw, if you've tried any of the sister restaurants (Blackwood, Kitchen Story, Surisan, and Berkeley Social Club), then a lot of the menu items will sound familiar here. Today I had a very unpleasant experience at Sweet Maple. They served rotten strawberries in my fruit cup. It was clearly green color rotten spot if you leave them in your refrigerator too long. I didn't see it until I almost finish the fruit cup as it is all the way on the bottom. When I told my server about it, I saw him consulted with several people in the lobby. Another girl came over to deliver the consultation result- it is seasonings. I can't believe what I heard. What kind of seasoning is green and how does it get to the bottom of a fruit cup. Came here with some friends for Sunday brunch. The line was long but was seated fast as we opted to sit outside with the heaters. I ordered the Blackstone benedict and bottomless mimosas. What's brunch without bottomless mimosas? The mimosas had lots of flavors to choose from but we went with the mango tajin and the original. I personally enjoyed the original more but the mango tajin was good as well. On to the main course. The Blackstone Benedict had 2 chilies next to it but didn't notice any heat/spiciness from it. The main star of the plate was the Millionaire bacon. This was hands down the best bacon I've ever had! Everything about this dish was delicious and come together well. This place has officially ruined all other brunch places for me... or specifically bacon! On my trip up to SF we were looking for a good brunch place to try and a friend recommended this place! Like other places in SF parking is terrible but after a couple of rounds you should be able to find parking on the street. The line wasn't too long around 12pm but boy was it packed! They have an option of patio or inside but if you choose inside just know it's a bit cramped! The one thing I recommend to try for sure if their Millionaire's Bacon! It is probably by far the juiciest and most flavorful bacon I've ever eaten in my life. One bite and I was hooked, I basically devoured the bacon before I even touched my dish! I decided to order the Wild Benedict and Friends (mushroom medley with meyer lemon hollandaise). I honestly don't like runny yolks but by god did this change my mind about eggs benedict! The mushrooms were juicy and just complimented the dish very well. The hollandaise was just on point. I basically ate every last bite there was on the plate. Their portions are also huge! I didn't expect there to be a lot of potatoes but I wasn't complaining since it was good. As mentioned the ONLY downside to the place is how cramped it can get. I felt like I barely had any room and the tables were a bit close to each other. Another thing was you kinda have to shout a bit to hear what the other person is saying since it was KINDA a bit loud but I mean it's brunch so! Insanely delicious brunch - I don't think I've ever gone anywhere better (and when I say that I mean anywhere in the world). They've got the classics but I would 110% recommend trying their fusion dishes. Their omurice, as well as their bulgogi scramble, is just out of this world. I almost can't put into words how delicious these dishes were. And of course the millionaires bacon is worth a try - it's like a sweet sticky jerky, as opposed to the traditional thin crispy bacon. Good call there was no wait on a Thursday morning, got seated immediately, 2 adults and one child. Peeked at the menu chose the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with some well seasoned fries Here are the items we sampled and how each item faired The eggs Benedict with million dollar bacon and sautéed potatoes, the eggs were good the bacon really good the sautéed potatoes were also good, sadly the hollandaise sauce had either a hint of siracha or something else which didn't mesh with the rest of the meal, other then that the dish was good The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was excellent portion wise it was a little small but with the seasoned fries the meal was more then enough to be comfortably full. The cheesiness on the sandwich was very good, biting down it does get a tad messy, the meat to mushroom and bell peppers were well done a little more meat would not be too much to ask but on a whole I would order it again I was able to sample the million dollar bacon and let me say I am a fan. Amazinggggg!!! This is one of the first places that came up when I yelped. I honestly didn't read any reviews or look at any photos. Just saw the stars and decided "I want to go to there!" It was an approximately 45 min drive from Oakland airport. Usually, I hate brunch. I just needed something to hold me and my son over before doing touristy stuff. I was slightly confused, but chalked it out to be maybe the demographics living in that area of SF. Waitress came by and I just ordered an orange juice. As soon as I opened the menu, I saw that it was Korean Fusion and was mind blown. Immediately looked to my left and my eyes widened; instant regrets ordering the orange juice. I saw a girl sipping matcha green tea latte and had to have one myself. My dish came and I didn't expect much out of it, but I took a few bites and it was so savory. Usually, I don't do spicy sauce like tabasco or tapatio and would never intentionally dip my food into it. However, I was curious what this unknown sauce was in the ramekin and dipped my eggs into it. My mouth burst with flavor realizing that the unknown sauce was gochuchang. I would have never paired the two together. anyway, a bunch of things that I would have never done, but so glad I did it. Side notes: waitress was nice but extremely slow. Matcha green latte was legit! Just read reviews that said there's usually a wait. Must have been a lucky day for me because I walked right in. Let me warn you, be prepared to stand in line! However, they move quick and are very accommodating. This is a restaurant where you want to try everything, so get a good look at the menu and decide what you want ahead of time. The French toast is great! I'm a French toast person, and it wasn't my favorite but it was definitely one to write about. Now, the millionaire's bacon was something worthy of trying. It was savory but also very filling. We tried the bacon flight, which all were extremely delicious. I recommend the original and the cinnamon/chipotle. Lastly, their mimosa selection also adds a nice touch to your morning breakfast or Sunday brunch. Food comes out really fast, staff is quick and friendly. After seeing this place on Yelp and the great reviews we decided to give it a try. They have outside and inside seating which is good and there is a checking station outside on an iPad but when we went the iPad was dead so I had to go inside to get help, I asked one waiter and he totally ignored and kept on walking back and forth, I decided to ask someone else and this time the lady that was at the register was able to help me but it took her a minute or so to acknowledge me and when I told her about the rude waiter she excused me by saying he spoke no English. There were people waiting to be seated but for some reason we got seated before the other parties, the same lady was or waitress and she highly recommended we tried their breakfast tacos, deep fried French toast/pancake and their millionaire bacon which is what they are famous for. I got a coconut milk latte, all I can say it tasted like a summer vacation in the tropics, every sip was full of flavor and sweetness and the coconut shavings gave it that extra touch. The breakfast tacos lacked flavor and were not that great, the deep fried pancakes was hard around the edges, and the millionaire bacon sample was not bad but is not for everyone and there were bites that tasted great and others were just super greasy my hubby ate most of it as he is a bacon lover. The ambiance is nice and decoration but I don't think this place will be a most when visiting the Bay Area. Also the male waiter who ignored me twice and whom supposedly didn't speak English it turned out he did it at least to enough to be a waiter as he brought our food and explained what each plate was and was also waiting several tables. Came here for a Sunday brunch during covid. There was an electric wait list you had to add your name to once you arrived at the restaurant. There was about 20 people in front of us so we opted to wait in the car until our name reached the top of the list (it took about 35 minutes). We were seated outside right next to the to go order line and where the servers come in and out of the restaurant (which was very annoying). Also, the table next to us was not 6 feet away from us which also made us feel not so comfortable. Once seated I ordered the blackstone Benedict (includes the millionaire bacon) with potatoes, and my husband ordered the big hip (deep fried French toast) with eggs and potatoes. The Benedict was ok nothing special. The millionaire bacon was thick, and spicy. The big hip was really good. It reminded me of a funnel cake from the carnival. I've eaten here a few times over the years where I have enjoyed the "Marnier" (French Toast) and their blueberry pancakes, which is sweet but tasty. Today's experience however was not good. The food was tasteless and for such a basic breakfast dish which were scrambled eggs that were bright yellow (not fresh eggs but some concoction), potatoes were just ok and it came with just 1 piece of sourdough toast. My eating companion had the turkey panini which she enjoyed. I had a bite. It was tasty but too spicy for me. The service was poor. My food came out before my dining companion's. I asked the waiter, "when will her food arrive?" He said, "in 5 minutes." I asked him, "why don't you bring them out together so that I don't eat in front of her?" He said, "that's how we do it." When he did bring her dish he said to me, "thanks for your patience." From the manner in which he said it, we both took that comment as a jab. My companion and I never mind paying for food that's expensive (which this is for what you get), so long as the food is tasty. First time customer! We came in on a Thursday afternoon, no wait. Parking was super simple, right outside on the street! Beautiful interior, lots of open space and plenty of lights! Fantastic painting on the wall. Friendly wait staff, took our drinks ordered right as we sat down. Couple glasses of water, coffee and my friend got a Bloody Mary. They were incredibly attentive, my coffee cup was never dry. We also ordered the Californian burger, the Piggy burger and the Turkey panini, all with the potato wedges. The burgers were cooked perfectly to mid rare. My Californian was an absolute monster, beautiful burger with just the right toppings on it. A good deviation from the classic, clean burger. The burger came with pickle slices on the side, which were a great compliment to the heavier fatty burger. The wedges were fried super well, crispy exterior with a fluffy interior. Paired very well with the sriracha ketchup they had on the table, something I've never seen before. The portions here seem to be on the larger size, I was having trouble towards the end but managed to finish it all. My homie had to get a box for his panini, to finish later at home for a late night snack! All in all, this place is well worth the visit. I do hear that they get a little busy on the weekends, so if that's not your jam, I do recommend coming on a weekday afternoon maybe. read more

I like to get either pancakes or FT for the table and my friend and I didn't finish half of it. The chicken mango scramble was actually my favorite. The chicken mango sausage is very, very good and more enjoyable than the bacon in my opinion. I didn't like the service at all. Very dry and not personable. I came on a Sunday and it was so crowded. The wait was estimated to be an hour, so I went to the nearby b. patisserie in the meantime. If the wait is really long I'd recommend doing that, just make sure you're back in time for when they call your name. I'm not sure how lenient they are if you miss your slot. I liked the big hip, which is a deep-fried french toast. It was so crispy, piping hot, and topped with berries which made it super delicious. I also tried the millionaire's bacon, which was okay. I think other people might like it more, this was more of a personal preference of just not really liking the taste. I would have given four stars, but I think Sweet Maple really has to step their game up in terms of logistics/basic serving/wait staff training. I was seated near the kitchen window, where the food is placed for the waiters to bring out to the customers. During my meal, THREE separate dishes were DROPPED. Not one, or even two, but three. Thank goodness I wasn't sitting at the table right NEXT to the kitchen - a customer who was sitting at that table got food/sauce all over her nice leather jacket. One of the waiters spent a while wiping all the stuff that got onto her jacket...which was a nice gesture but I think overall it was just ridiculous that three separate plates got dropped, all from the kitchen counter. It was just too crowded I guess...and it surprised me that they didn't change what they were doing after the first plate got dropped. I'd recommend this place, just don't sit near the kitchen counter unless you don't mind getting food on it! read more

Loved the eclectic modern American menu and the ingredients, prep and presentation did not disappoint! It lives up to its reputation and reviews. One of my favorite brunch spots! I have been here both on the weekend and on a weekday. I usually like to go during the weekdays because less of a line and wait. You really can't go wrong with what you order. I usually try to get something with egg in it, whether it's an omelette or scramble. If I want something sweet, I like to order French toast or pancakes. And if I want something sweet and savory, the sweet potato tots will do the trick.
