The atmosphere is the same as any Texas Roadhouse which to me is great, I always enjoy the aesthetics of TRH. The food was excellent I got a ribeye mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. I was really excited to come and check this place out but, I was pretty disappointed by the time I left. I used their online waiting list program. On the site, I was told it was about 55 min to 1 hour 5 min wait. We got there 50 min and checked in. By the time we sat down, we ended up waiting another 50 min on top of our wait time! Horrible system. Our server was probably the only great thing about this place and their bread. The food was ok, nothing amazing. The atmosphere was fun but, very loud. I took a friend here for his birthday dinner. It was busy on Sunday evening but the wait wasn't bad at all! We were told 25-30 minutes and we may have waited 15 minutes. Amanda is the best!! We love Texas Roadhouse when we are in the mood for a steak dinner so we are sorta regulars. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner... Hostess was friendly... there was a bit of a wait but not too bad.... Waitress took our order pretty quick, she was friendly and very efficient...made small talk along the way.... Food was great! We even enjoyed watching all the floor staff do line-dancing.... Poor management and service. When you get there they take your phone number for the wait and text when the table is "ready", after 5 minutes we received the table was read and to gather your party and make you way to the server. She then told us to stand close by and we would be seated, after another 20 minute wait we were told they were still waiting to clean 3 dirty tables and we were 2nd on the list, I told them we received the text 20 minutes ago that our table was ready. They tell you one wait but triple the wait once you get the text. Very unorganized. read more

It has been years since we've been to Texas roadhouse. It on the complete opposite side of town from where we live and so many steakhouses in between, and just not someplace we targeted. So today was Easter Sunday and I just didn't want to cook a big meal. So wife suggested this place. We called ahead and they said they do not take reservations. So we headed over. My wife arrived ahead of time to get us a table and order me a Cadillac margarita. I arrived 10 minutes later and my wife and kids were already at the table. I my kids are really excited that the bread was hit and had cinnamon butter. I don't have a lot of starch, however I tasted it and it was absolutely delicious. My drink has not arrived yet, however I let the server know that we had a hard time spreading the butter on the bread, The waiter realized that we had no silverware, bread plates or napkins. We did have butter all over our fingers from there bread. The drinks took about 10 more minutes for some reason. We did ask for more of the bread since we now had knives to spread the butter and plates to put it on. After the waiter brought our drinks, he took our order. We wanted some prime rib, however the waiter tubbust they were out of prime rib. Each entrée had a choice of two sides. What we ordered: Cadillac margarita on the rocks no salt Sangria/Margherita combo drink (really good) 16 ounce ribeye (Broccoli, green beans) sautéed mushrooms added for three dollar up charge Ribeye and rib combo (fries, green beans) 3 x 11 ounce sirloin (salad, fries, green beans) 6 ounce sirloin and shrimp combo (rice) One of the steaks arrived with a couple of hairs in bedded in it. We had to send it back. It took forever to have a new steak replaced. We had finished our dinners mostly by the time it arrived. The kitchen manager brought the steak out and apologized. He informed us that the kitchen had closed and pretty much had to heat the grill up. He removed the entrée from the bill, however there was enough food on the table, that my sons girlfriend was able to share all of our food while she was waiting. The food was perfect. (could've been more mushrooms for the three dollar up charge.) We enjoyed the drinks. Each of the steaks was cooked just right, the green beans were actually extremely good. The steak fries were perfect. Bread butter, definitely great. We will eventually come back here as the coloid of the food was amazing and The other problems are fixable. read more

The birthday girl had to wait 25 minutes to be served after the rest of us....but the service from Emanuel made it all worthwhile. What a genuinely nice young man! We go there practically every month. The service yesterday was quite bad. It was definitely not their usual SOP. At the start, the cold and indifferent greeting at check-in, the drinks and the food waitresses were like crowding each other to place their servings on our table. Our waitress and I said sorry to each other for that strange scene. The manager came by our table and asked if everything was ok after that little crowding scene. This was my first time dining at a Texas Roadhouse. And I enjoyed it! We don't have one within 2 hours from where I live so when we were in Reno and saw one there I wanted to try! First off those rolls with cinnamon butter are ridiculous! I stopped myself at 2 but could have had more. I ordered the California chicken with the loaded mashed potato's and side salad. Side salad was super fresh and loved the homemade ranch dressing. The chicken was flavorful and juicy but the loaded mashed potatoes were a bit dry. I took off the butter it came with so maybe that would have helped but with the cheese, sour cream and bacon thought it would be enough. I'd like to go back and try a steak but it was lunch time so didn't want anything too filling. read more

Not only were they small, they were too hard to even eat. Most pieces lacked chicken and were pure breading. And to think we ordered two of these jokes. Prices went way up and portions went way down. The food here is always pretty good, and the service is usually top notch. We went there for lunch and decided to sit at the bar. The bar had a few people, not packed at all, but there were still dirty dishes on one side of the bar and those remained for about 20 minutes. I ordered the boneless rib eye, medium rare, baked potato (with everything) and a salad. We ordered the potato skins as an appetizer. I believe my friend ordered the same thing, veggies instead of baked potato. The potato skins were ok, nothing to write home about. They were warm, and meh. The salads are always good, I like them and the croutons are great! The steak was cooked just right and the bartender actually asked if we wanted steak sauce, salt and pepper when our entrees arrived. The dishes from the previous lunch crowd remained until we received our entrees. The baked potatos are great, and never a let down. Loaded creamy mashed potatoes were off the hook delicious. Caesar salad was decent. Baked potato was good but again too salty. Place could tone down salt on some items but add to others. Well, we had a power outage in our neighborhood right around dinner time so we couldn't cook as planned! Off we went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time! My family raves about it so we were excited to try it. Checking into the waitlist online was easy. On a Wednesday night, we were quoted a 15-25 minute wait. Once we arrived, I replied to the text and we were instructed to enter shortly after. Overall, I would say the food is average American fare but the service and execution were excellent! By execution, I mean that the salad plate was cold, everything arrived in a timely manner, and all staff were friendly, even enthusiastic! Now onto the food. First, the dressing for the Caesar salad is not a true Caesar dressing, so don't get your hopes up! I didn't taste much garlic, lemon, or anchovies! It was just creamy. But, the lettuce was sweet and crisp! My ribs really were fall off the bone, but the sauce was very sweet, not much of a balance with other flavors. The fried chicken was definitely yummy comfort food! The gin blossom was awesome. Props to the bartender! Service was above and beyond! My toddler spilled some water on the seat next to me and our waitress came by to mop it up with a cloth. Other patrons around us had babies and toddlers too so they all had fun meeting each other. This is supposed to be a steakhouse. They messed up. Our steaks got them reversed and then ended up burning my wife's steak and mine came backjust OK. They did not replenish the sides but charged us for them even though we waited about two hours. They said they were gonna take her whole meal off the check but they only took $20 total off the check anyhow it was a waste of time. There is always a fail on their take out orders. Don't do take out. Once you are home and open the containers and see what's missing. Not going back to get it right. Ordered 2 chicken critter salads. The current website stats that the salad has jack and cheddar cheese and egg on top.... Nope. Pretty much just lettuce and tomatoes and my wife doesn't like tomatoes. So she got a container of lettuce. Not great. Chicken was half of what we normally get. The bacon was probably a quarter of one piece. Pretty much a fail. We order this a lot and there is always something. They show you what you ordered before they bag it. Service was prompt. Lucci was excellent. Here's the problem. I ordered a ribeye and the steak that came out was definitely not a ribeye. It didn't even resemble or taste like a ribeye. The guy the next table over from us said the exact same thing. The ribeyes in the window at least look like ribeyes. The deep fried onions and pickles were what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. I've visited many Texas Roadhouse restaurants and this location is one of the best by far. Service is excellent and the environment is energetic with the right amount of light. Mid meal the manager even came to greet us. If you're a regular you already know what to order. My favorites are any of the steak and rib combos at medium rare, or the rib eye / filet if you want a specific cut. The rolls are irresistible. You can certainly order non carb sides (veggies, salads, soups) and just load up on the bread as needed. But that means you'll miss out on the sweet loaded yams, or the savory loaded potatoes... choices. Definitely stop by here before or after your Tahoe visit for an amazing meal. read more
