Looking for great breakfast/brunch? This is the place they have great food yes food. However i have to say the service is ok but servers need to work on checkin in with customers and meet their needs but they absolutely lack this. We were a party of 5 we ordered food came out and to our surprise we were missing one meal. Our server Christy look at me and said oh you dont have your food uuh duh!! No i dont she goes and checks out with the cooks what happened well the dropped my plate. She came out to our table and i formed us of the mishap and she apologized however her apology was then not accepted because my family was half done with their food and my food was no were to be brought out until i told her whats up! Then at the end like if nothing happened she brings the check and did not even say anything to the matter or even deducted the plate. As many eateries we been too if anything like this happens the place will comp you for the lack of service but in this case it was not even a care or bother so we just payed the bill and screwed her of the tip just like that as i feel the tip should always be granted based on the service you get. I had breakfast this morning and agree with other posts, bet breakfast place in Long beach. I live in Texas but come to Long Beach at leach 2-3 times a month on business. Staff is friendly portions are large with actual parking in back. Now that I have found it this will be my breakfast meeting spot when I'm in town. It was quite and lazy early but but got busy about 9-9:30 on a Sunday morning. I didn't have one but watch waitress make very generous mimosas! I will try one next weekend I'm in town. read more

I love this place! We literally lived down the street from Potholder and my family and I would walk here for breakfast on the weekends. It was our go-to breakfast spot. Food is always good. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. An added bonus are the generous pours of champagne for mimosas! Servers are always nice and friendly. Sad to say, we've recently moved so we won't get to frequent this establishment as much as we did before, but whenever we are in Long Beach, we will be sure to visit. Definitely recommend! read more

This place is decent. The menu is fun and extensive. The omlette selection goes on for days. Service is friendly, but it's busy all the time so it's not as fast as one would hope for. I love to sit outside when I go here if it's not too hot. Good people watching. The wait is long normally unless you're just two. Try the stuffed French toast. Great food but not family friendly.. Took my 6 month old to the bathroom to find out neither bathrooms had changing tables and the bathrooms were disgusting. Had to go outside to my car to change my son's diaper. Very disappointed. The food was good but not worth going back with that inconvenience. read more

Not a breakfast person but thoroughly enjoyed our French toast kabob and Grand Prix omelet with coffee and mimosa. Menu had variety of offerings not the typical breakfast menu. Service was great. All the staff came around to offer coffee and water in addition to your main server. Would definitely make a return trip. read more

My go to breakfast spot when I stay down in Long Beach. Large portions and reasonable prices. Also a nice sized outdoor seating area and plenty of parking close by. We really like coming to eat breakfast here on Sundays. Food is yummy and coffee is good. We are gluten free and they let us substitute gluten free pancakes and waffles for toast. We love it when we find restaurants that have gluten free options that are yummy. These pancakes are a must try. The omeletts are yummy and the service is excellent. Dude. Like cmon, this place used to be amazing. I left an amazing review last time but this past experience with them was horrible. My mom called in and ordered and I still had to wait 20 min for my order! Not to mention how unprofessional it was for the waitress and cook to be arguing over fruit in the middle of service. Anyways, I get my food and go home. I ordered the chicken surprise salad. I've had this in the past and it's been good but today the chicken was UNDERCOOKED AND STILL PINK AND COLD IN THE MIDDLE! ARE YOU GUYS TRYING TO KILL ME! The lettuce was not crunchy and brown. The avocado was brown and rotting. It was just horrible. Absolutely horrible. I don't think I'll be back. Today me and my classmate went to this restaurant with our lovely teacher from the school. We had a lot of choices of which restaurant we would like to have a breakfast in . At the end, we decided to go to The Potholder Cafe Too because it has a good reviews and also the location is near from our school. The decorations at the restaurant on very old American style which I like. Very comfortable and homey was the atmosphere. Quite nice and friendly was the waitress. I have ordered cheese omelette with hash browns and pancakes on the side. They have the best hash browns and I recommend any one to give it shoot. It was delicious and crispy. The original pancakes came in a medium plate and the size of the pancakes were not small, the pancakes were fluffy and tasty. The cheese omelette was so delicious but a little bit salty. The black coffee served in an enormous mug with milk on side but wasn't up to my expectations. The size of plates were big ,and you can share some food with others. The overall were excellent and for sure I will come back. We enjoyed the food. read more

My classmates and I decided with our lovely teacher to visit this restaurant for breakfast. It Was located in Long Beach. Quaint was The decoration. There are small cute toys around the wall. The noise level at the restaurant was in between the average. Almost casual was the attire. The waitress were so nice but they were a little slow with the food and honestly, the restaurant was busy, so that's why! After we ate our food, everybody agreed that the food was so good and delicious. Also some plates were big enough to share with others. For me I chose the black milky coffee served in huge mug and the plain French toast. The plain toast was nice but there's a salty taste which I don't like! It's Kind of a bad taste. The price wasn't pricey at all cause they serve a big plate. It was a great experience for all of us, and we will come back again one day. read more

Yuck. Stay away from the machaca. There are a lot people eating there but the food is average. The Bloody Mary was sweet not spicy. And, and, you have to pay $1.00 for jalapeños. Coffee is good and so is the atmosphere. But we'll pass next time. read more

Well I have to start off by saying this was the worst encounter I've ever had as a customer with a manager . His name is Rich and he was so incredibly rude to us that I don't think I could ever go back knowing he works there . Laughed at our complaint and said he had other things to do than talk to us . As we walked out of the restaurant he literally yelled out for everyone to hear "don't come back!!" People stopped eating and looked to see what the commotion was . We were in disbelief ....All because we wanted our gift card honored ..??? unprofessional, rude , and as a former server in the restaurant industry I can tell that the staff hates him. Why a owner would want someone like him representing the restaurant will forever be a mystery to me .... Like bigger than Atlantis type of mystery or is Tupac still alive, Bermuda Triangle, who really shot jfk ? Went here for the first time with family (+pooch). The staff is attentive and friendly. The menu is very creative. All the food was delicious. The only caution is that the portions are huge. This was great for me, but it was too much for the kids. The waitress could have let us know that it would be too much...but that's a small quibble. We thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers later in the day. Good stuff! read more
