The absolute worst service department I have ever dealt with in my whole life. It's so fustrating how little the local dealership knows/cares to know about the Bolt. Within the first month after purchase the drivers side seat came apart on the side. Took it in and they glued it, super nice. Within a day it split apart. Took it back a second time. They said they have to order a new seat. Weeks go by no call, nothing. Finally call the ever so helpful(insert sarcasm) service writer and oh it's been in for weeks. Round three husband takes another day off work. dropped it off at 8am and asked specifically about the car being done in a day. I need my carpool sticker for my awful commute. Well when he takes an Uber down there at 4:40pm they can not figure out how to put the seat back together. Who knows how long it will take was their response. Seriously WTH? So three times to the dealer and multiple days for a seat, I am scared to see what happens when it's something more serious. How can a company make such a great car and miss the rest? They need to get their employees EV educated. The car has been in the service department for 4 days with lots of lies from service writer. Give me my car back so I can take it to a dealer who can fix my freaking car. I will NEVER take my car or buy a car from such an unprofessional place ever. Run away........ read more

I had a great experience here. Bought a 2021 Trailblazer and the whole process from start to finish was great. The sales team and the financial team were beyond amazing. They went to work getting me the deal I wanted and made sure I was taken care of on my trade in. Took it back to work on the numbers 3 times before I was happy. Had an amazing conversation with Kofi while he went over my paperwork with me and he made sure to explain everything. Made me feel completely in control and informed about every piece of the process. Just because we had knowledge of the actual MSRP and the average selling price for the car we wanted they tried lying to us and priced it about six thousand more and tried telling us they didn't have the model we wanted as well to get another four thousand more out of us. Don't bother coming here unless you have money to waste because they're going to try to get every penny out of you. They wasted our time and theirs, even to stoop so low as to play a joke on us by dismissing us with "oh but before you go" only to continue a conversation between themselves to see how long they could keep us standing there. Real professional especially when you have the whole department in on it doing the same thing on the walk out. This place doesn't deserve anyone's business, it's a disgrace to the Chevy name. read more

So earlier this week I had called this place to see if I can get a quote over the phone for service on my Camaro. The girl listen to what I had to say about my car and after I wasted my time telling her she said let me take your name and number and I'll have a "service expert" call you back. So I was like okay. HOURS pass by and I was still waiting for the call. Finally later that day I get a call. Once again I explain the service I need to the guy who called me back. Then just to tell me "oh I have to get pricing together then I'll call you back" once again I wait.... no call back that day, and now it's been 3 days later and nothing. I guess they really dont wanna help me with my car. No wonder they have like no stars. Whatever. I called a different dealer in riverside and the guy there helped me then and there. No need to be calling back and forth. Too bad for tom bell, what I need done is over 2,000$ I'll just take my money elsewhere. Shitty service not for me. Forget me I'll forget yall too. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE!! I'm not even gonna get into the time frame of repairing my truck bcuz Covid has slowed everything down. Our truck has 5k miles on it and the def controller went out. My wife called and worked with Annette throughout the whole thing. She told my wife she wouldn't be able to see if they would give us a rental until after they diagnose the problem. A couple days later they diagnose it but then she says they have no loaners or rentals available but that it would be ok to pick the truck up and drive it until the part arrives (mind you a warning came on that said 175 miles until 65 max speed). So theres a problem with the emission system and the truck is about to derate me if I continue driving it but apparently Annette thinks she is a Chevy mechanic or engineer for that matter and knows it's ok to drive still. Don't worry about the fact that if something were to go wrong in the future bcuz I continued to drive it they probably wouldn't cover it. So at this point I get involved and leave a message for Annette as well as a text and leave a message for the service manager (FYI the service manager never called me back to this day). Annette texts me back and I let her know she needs to give me a loaner or rental unless she wants to sign an agreement that they will cover any future issues that come about by continuing to drive the truck - and what do ya know she has a rental lined up for me right away! Fast forward to getting the truck back after they fix it and wash it- and the mechanic leaves grease all down the entire drive shaft and oil all over under the truck. I text Annette and provide her pictures and she apologizes and says she will speak with the manager and let me know what he wants to do. Well, what do you think happened...nothing...she still has yet to contact me! Update after 1 week! Check engine light came BACK ON! ‍ so now they're stating they will just replace the whole def tank. Was supposed to have the part overnighted as of yesterday but updated us today stating it's not coming until Monday fml - Working with the service manager now so hopefully our experience is better this time will update after. Update after second time of being at dealership: My wife picked the truck up this morning. The car porter pulled the truck up and handed her the keys and that was it. You would think for it being the second time being there for the same problem a manager or something would bring it to her and go over it all and check it out but nope nothing. For all the time we have spent taking off work, paying on a truck we can't even use and everything we would get treated better. I'm not even asking for free oil change etc, just a simple manager to be there to look over the truck with her when handing it over. Goes to show you the horrible customer service at this place! And of course when I get home and look over the truck there's a huge scratch on the driver door!! This dealer is horrible!!! Let's HOPE the problem at least is fixed! read more

For me as a customer it's the little things that make me go back to a business, well I called to get an oil change on my car and I got an appointment pretty quick so I drive there and get settled in. The service writer starts putting my service into the system for a basic oil change my price goes double of what I was quoted over the phone again it's the small things that make me want to go back to the business and the fact that I got told one price and then they doubled it as I got there it's very disappointing I do not like dishonesty and this place is definitely not going to get my business again read more

I had a horrible experience. I took my car in for a recall and walked out with a nightmare. I spent approximately $1100 on coolant repairs and still ended up with coolant damage which resulted into work needing a new head gasket/engine. Not to mention, the recall had to do with issues regarding my engine. I was unable to write my final review through their office but I regret ever taking my car there in the first place. I am writing this review on behalf of my son TJ Pope, he purchased what he thought was his dream truck from Tom Bell Chevrolet a 2008 F-350 already lifted just last JULY 2019. The truck has had several issues we were not made aware of. Most recently TJ was shown a Carfax from another dealer showing a crack to the frame that was never disclosed. TJ has put over $16,000 on repairs to the motor, even with that the truck is back in limp mode, again to much fuel in motor oil. Tom Bell is unwilling to assist and help in this matter! Basically told my son oh well... You would think a Chevrolet dealership like Tom Bell would stand behind their vehicles. My son has changed oil cooler, both thermostats, upper radiator hose, front cover to water pump, fan clutch, both turbo seals & gaskets, intake manifold gasket, replaced engine oil 3 times, and replaced coolant at least 2 times... My son had to purchase another small car so he could get to work (added expense). But still has the balance of his loan on the F-350 due, he can not afford to screwed like he was by Tom Bell Chevrolet. At this point my son is ready to just turn over the truck to the bank, but that leaves him with a large balance still on his loan!!! AVOID TOM BELL, they have no customer service and will not stand behind their vehicles and will leave you literally stranded!!! I want to add that all repairs were done at a different reputable Ford Dealership!!! But again another issue has popped up and the truck is back in limp mode... read more

I've been to this dealership for maintenance many times and I've never had to wait three hours for an oil change with an appointment, until now. Many customers were awaiting to be checked in because booking times were too close together between customers. My wife and I purchased a car there about 2 months ago. After purchasing the car the sales dealer, as well as their sales manager promised us that the car would receive a detail as it had some imperfections in multiple spots inside of the car we purchased. This detail never happened. In addition to this, both the sales manager and sales person haggled us on 2 things that were clearly in the car specs and part of the purchase agreement. Interesting enough, their own employee went out of her way to point this out to me, as well as give me a full printout of exactly what came with the car. Both items were extremely basic and something that everyone should receive on any 2017 model regardless of dealership in my opinion. For some reason though, these 2 Tom Bell employees felt the need to tell my wife and I that both items were Not part of our purchased agreement. I later spoke to someone about this who did help me out. We had a separate issue with financed (we were told something by the sales manager that simply was not true), and had an issue with the way the finance person tried to overlook a very important detail which my wife and I both called him out on. We will not be purchasing another car from Tom Bell Chevy as a result of this experience. I actually have about 2/3 more issues with our experience there but I'll save you all the boredom. Just need to say that Dan B in the service department is the best. Ive had my car in there 3 times all minor stuff, oil change and general check up and I was treated like I was the owner, they were very quick in and out with in hours and they washed my car. I hate doing this kind of stuff very inconvenient of my time but this was a very relaxing experience with the free cold water bottles free coffee or coco also nice little snacks of granola bars and more. Purchased a used car from Tom Bell a couple of weeks back. Some sensors needed to be replaced which was fine as I didn't mind waiting a week for it to get done. Only one of the sensors were replaced only to find out a week later that they wouldn't replace the tire pressure sensor due to the vehicle having aftermarket wheels. I've been to 13 different dealerships these passed 3 days, 6 of those being Chevy dealerships. At each one I've been to there was always a huge issue. They never have the car I want, and when they have a decent car the salesman is a huge asshole. I walk in and they literally throw a credit application at me as if it's a joke? Cmon DIAMOND CHEVROLET, they're very lucky I don't sue. Not only that my salesman at diamond chevrolet, Jeffrey Fedwards or Edwards I believe it was, farted like 3 times during the test drive... like cmon bud I have my kids in the car... Despite those bad dealerships, Today I almost bought a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu because of Tom Bells amazing line up and variety of cars. Also the salesman (ESAU RDORIGUEZ) knew his knowledge, knew his other brands and makes of cars, kept a smiling on at all times even when I was being difficult, and offered what seemed like Fleming's level CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Service Department is amazing! They are really helpful and friendly. They really get the job done. Keep up with the hard work! Erica helped me out with my vehicles oil change. She was super friendly and personable. I really appreciate her hard work. But for the sales side at Tom Bell I didn't really have the greatest experience, was planning on doing a trade in. There was moments that weren't being really clear for me on my end for example when filling out paper work to run my credit. I didn't know that we were getting to that part and would have appreciated of knowing before hand than being surprised that I'm signing a document to accept running my credit. I would like to see more of the sales to be more approachable and more helpful and also show more courtesy to costomers that come in even though the sale might not be what they wanted to hear. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Steve Shaffer who was a salesman. I was very matter of fact with him and told him I was NOT interested in any game playing as my daughter was in the Hospital, I was left a foot 3 hours from home, and in August I myself had a stroke. I told Steve what my need was (something simple/plain and nothing fancy with lots of gadgets/buttons). I'm about functionality and dependability, NOT having the latest/greatest car. I knew what I was after and didn't want somebody trying to sell me something I didn't need just to put more money in their pocket. I'm a NO FRILLS kind of gal, I don't beat around the bush, I'm VERY DIRECT, straight to the point and if they could not help me then just say so, I was not there to waste time! Steve took me to the used cars and started showing me what they had; a 2006 Honda Civic, 2013 KIA Sorento, 2011 Chevy Malibu, Ford Fusion and a couple other cars. The Honda had too many miles for me, the Ford Fusion was OK, it didn't seem very big. I was then saw the Chevy Malibu but Steve quickly led me to the KIA. I figured it was out of my price range but put in an offer to atleast get a baseline, as expected it was more then I could afford. By this time I was totally exhausted from so much walking but also being that I had major back surgery (2 wire cages and 6 titanium screws) and reconstructive ankle surgery my body was DONE! Rather then me fall in love with a car then be told no I thought the best way for ME was to look ONLY at numbers; year/miles/asking price THEN the make/model of the car then to pick which one of those cars would best fit the needs of my family. This is what Steve told me was available: 2006, 152,000 miles, $9,000 Honda Civic 2012, 27,000 miles, $13,000 Chevy Cruze 2011, 55,000 miles, $12,000 Chevy Malibu 2014, 27,000 miles, $16,000 Chevy Sonic 2011, 44,000 miles, $13,000 Hyundai Sonata After going over the list I settled on the 2011 Chevy Malibu. I did not want to test drive it unless I knew the bank would approve it. I started crunching numbers myself to make sure it was doable for me, Steve told me they are asking $12,900, I told him how much I would put down and my CAP for a monthly payment. Steve took the numbers to his boss then came back and said because it was getting late (approx 8PM) that they could give me a better answer in the morning and that he would call me by 10AM. I went back to my Hotel room and looked up on KBB.COM a 2011 Chevy Malibu with 55,000 miles, I learned that the fair market value from a dealership was $9,403 to $11,368 so I knew that I needed to negotiate. I then looked on the Dealerships webpage and found the car listed for $11,900, I know that Dealerships buy LOW and try to sell HIGH (my ex use to sell cars so I had a bit of an inside edge, they didn't know what I knew) I'm sure they thought I was an "EASY TARGET" but little did they know! Steve called me the next morning, the bank approved me so he told me to come down and do paperwork. I got there and that's when I told Steve that I saw the car online for $11,900 on their website. Steve told me he wanted to help save me money and that he would sell me the car for $10,000, I thought WOW, that was easy, I didn't even have to negotiate! We started the paperwork, I confirmed the price of $10,000 and then Steve told me he meant $10,900. Nice try, NOT happening! I reminded Steve what he quoted me and he stated he was NOT discount the car anymore! I picked up my stuff and walked out the door, Alonzo Reyna (Sales Manager also Steve's Boss) came out the door waving his arms to stop me so he could talk with me. I told Alonzo what Steve did, gave me one price and then changed it, I don't play that game! Alonzo asked me to come back in and he took over the deal. I closed the deal at $10,500, a full tank of gas (not something they wanted to include, if they wanted me to buy the car then it needed to happen! I was driving home 3 hours to get my twins and returning that same night (I left the Hospital at 4:30PM, made the trip home/back by Midnight, 11:45PM to be exact) and I had NO time to stop for gas!), a PINK BLING BLING licence plate frame, steering wheel cover as well as fixing the weather strip that was ripped causing a whistle during the test drive. The van I rented for a week ($320) from AVIS the night before I returned and paid only $38 for the time I had it (less then 24 hrs), when I rented the van originally something told me to go across the street to the Dealership. Now I know why! Having NO credit is worse then BAD credit but the folks at TOM BELL CHEVROLET made buying a car possible!
