I keep trying to give their sales a chance. But every time it's a typical pressure car sales environment. The last time I spent an hour with a sales person that clearly didn't know their job because upon talking to the sales manager, he told me I'm crazy to think I can get that car for sticker price. Another time I was told I couldn't get the same price as others because I'm not a repeat buyer. Service hasn't been much better. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. But always expensive. If you are considering buying a used car, they will try and add a warranty, a pulsing brake light, and fabric protection without asking. I was buying a well priced $22k truck and when they brought the paperwork for me to sign out it was over $30k! $6k for the unasked for warranty, $1k for the paint and fabric protection and $400 for the pulsing 3rd brake light! I ended up buying the truck, but I got rid of most of the add ons. It was still a decent deal, but I don't like the sleazy tactic of not mentioning any of it until I was ready to sign the paperwork. Took my truck in to the service department for my rear differential getting too hot when towing. $1800 dollars later they fix something that I found out now did not need to be fixed and was not the problem. Sooo I made an appointment just for an oil change, they set the appointment with Matthew and I went in and they were going to pull the truck in and he said not to because he needed to scan it when he had done that when I arrived, so after an hour and half I look out the glass door and my truck was parked on the parking lot at the entrance and I asked if it was done and he said oh no they haven't pulled it in yet, REALLY when they were doing it as soon as I arrived and he said he needed to scan it, NOW there was no card waiting or anything I really don't know what his problem was!!!!! read more

I waited more than a year to post this review. Why? Because I wanted to see how I would be treated after my purchase, to give the most accurate review. I cannot emphasize how amazing this dealership has treated me. I bought a 2017 Chevy Trax in 5/2017. The first thing I noticed about Tom Bell is that they treat their customers with respect. This is the only dealership that didn't treat me like I was an airhead. I went to 4 different dealerships before going to this one. I came in with price sheets and those dealerships constantly belittled me and tried to inflate their prices. My first contact here was Pete Hernandez. He was friendly and knowledgeable in the vehicle I was interested in. Right off the bat, he listened to why I was interested in the vehicle and the specs I wanted on it. He understood that I did not want to settle. NOT once did he try to sell me something that I wasn't interested in. Tom Bell also offered me the BEST deal on the vehicle with even more extras on the car. Kofi handled the finance aspect of my purchase. He was extremely friendly and did not mind my 1,000 questions while he typed away on his computer. I left this dealership feeling content. Picked up the vehicle hassle free, Pete took some time to explain the extras on the vehicle and helped me set up the Onstar service. No issues at all! The service department takes long but I don't mind it because I want my car at 100% and well taken care of. I bought a 2018 Tahoe from them needed new shocks right away Then took it in to Tom Bell for an oil change they didn't full the oil up all the way almost blew up the engine‍ I couldn't use the Tahoe for 2 day had to wait for their foremen to come out and put more oil in the in it. Now they have been bugging the crap out of me calling ,texting, emailing 2 to 3 times a week to buy the Tahoe. They sent me a estimate $39,000 their sells manager Pete laughed and said maybe $27,000. I asked over the phone how long it would be and he said one hour. When I arrived I was told it's just a check in time and they will try to get me out in a couple hours because they close at 2:00 and want to go home also. I own a 2016 Equinox, recently went on camping trip at which my car battery died, had AAA jump start the car. Noticed that my entire lights on center screen and buttons weren't on. So no radio, and couldn't use cigarette outlet for phone charger, asking with my USB connection in center console (under arm rest). Driving home with no radio or use of speakers in car sucked. 2-3 days later (Friday afternoon),I finally was able to drop off car at service station and and right away it was going to cost me $135 to get a diagnostic. Saturday morning, their service representative helping me out calls to tell that the technician needed more time, therefore, my initial cost of $135 needed to be raised to $450, and she needed my approval for that. Obviously I was really upset that after an hour ($135) they couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. But secondly, they attempted to blame the issue with AAA jump starting the car (connection the wrong colors of cables). I didn't give approval, to give myself time to think annoy what my options were. I ended up picking up my car (I needed it for work) and down $135, with no solution from dealership. The next morning, my uncle suggested changing the battery and that could possibly reset the computer. Which we did, and that fixed the car back like new. I hesitated to call or write anything about how Tom Bells Chevrolet handled it because I wanted to write the review with a calm demeanor. Never did the dealership call to check on the situation or to offer any other suggestions. They've definitely lost my trust from the service department, and it's management team. They will getting a phone call from me, to at least get an explanation about how their customer service is poop! 3 years a customer and this is how they help their customers- What a joke! Back in 2017 I purchased a chevy sonic. As of now I still have less than 50k miles on it. Since November of 2020 I have had countless issues with the cooling system. I had the water outlet replaced in November and the coolant tank replaced in January. Then about 2 months ago I go to the Chevrolet in Redlands to find out why my coolant won't stop disappearing. They replace my water pump. A few days later, my car needs the water outlet replaced again! And it was over $500 has been no attempt to make up for any inconvenience. read more

Update, the EVAP canister is near the fuel tank located in an area suspectble to road debris. Warranty will not cover poor engineering. At first, they said it looked like it exploded. On paper, they said that it was caused by impact damage. Apparently, the driver must avoid all FOD. The EVAP canister is approximately $300 and the $1000+ is to reset the computer and labor. I removed the elusive tire leak because 4 times a charm. The fan/module is covered by warranty. The red line overheated engine will be a future problem as it is all aluminum. read more

(Peter Hernandez & Norm his assistant sales man) We where negotiating a 2003 Toyota Sequoia, upon arrival Norm could not find the keys and we waited about 1 hour, only to be told the sequoia hadn't been inspected , cleaned, nor detailed. Norm asked if I wanted to go inside and talk numbers, that's when I told him how I'm I supposed to talk numbers when I haven't driven nor seen the sequoia fully to negotiate. Before I left Norm promised me he would have it ready the following day and "Gave me his word" that when it was ready he would call me and I would be the first person to have a shot at purchasing this sequoia. He did call me but only to let me know it was ready but that someone else's was already looking at it.
