Great food! Great service by the staff. My son and I went in to grab a sandwich and he ordered a chimichurri steak sandwich. We were greeted when we immediately walked in. The cashier was friendly and courteous. For the life of me, I cannot remember her name. I remember it started with an M but I do remember Anthony bring us our food. A check got to see if everything was good after being served. Exceptional service for what would be considered fast food. My teenage son had one complaint he wished this chimichurri was spicier, but loved his sandwich. Keep up the good work Urbane and staff! read more

I got the Pesto and Sun-dried sandwhich and Flavor was absolutely Yummy BUT the proportion of food to the cost DOES NOT add up! I came here starving and after I finished the sandwich and mini side salad, I was still hungry... insane. Honestly, if they could make the sandwhich bigger it would be worth it! This spot just opened up recently at LBX, near the Long Beach Airport. They provide mainly healthy Bowls, Sandwiches, and Salads. So far, I've had the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich with the side salad, and the Harissa Chicken Bowl with the side focaccia bread. The sandwich was really good, flavorful steak sandwich on a tasty focaccia bread. Chicken Bowl was good as well, and so healthy. Their current prices are decent, not overly expensive. They've been very friendly too, great service. If their prices remain reasonable I'll keep coming back often, and will try their other items. There is some seating inside, but not much, and there are a few tables outside too. I think most people order through their App and do pickup/takeout. read more

The whole LBX is a mess traffic and parking wise. And we found a little gem of a sandwich/salad shop. Experienced twice with consistent results. Ordered to cali chicken sandwich and Ahi salad. Both tasty, fresh and a great value. Bread is baked fresh on the premises. Food is well executed. Staff is friendly. Caveat: the place is small. So finding a table can be a challenge at peak lunch time on weekends. Nevertheless, will be back. It's good, healthy food at pre-pandemic price compared to the rest. read more

Hair in the sandwich. After I informed an employee, she responded by offering to make us a new one. No thank you, it's too soon. After waiting for a manager to come to our table, I approached the same employee and she said that her manager was busy so she hadn't spoken to him yet about the issue. Wow. After a few minutes, the manager finally came, offered us a refund for my barely eaten salad (since I lost my appetite) and gave us a free salad/bowl coupon card. We won't be coming back. On a whim I tried this place. It was also my first experience for Urbane Cafe. Man, I can't believe I've never heard of UC before. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been back 2 more times even though one opened near me (more on that, keep reading). As of this review, I've been to UC a total of 5 times in about 40 days give or take. I didn't take any pics of the food because I ate it so fast sorry lol. Anyways everything I've tried was great and well worth the price. I believe the most expensive sandwich I had was $13.99 before taxes. Now for me, that's about 3 or 4 dollars cheaper than micky d's and a WHOLE lot healthier. I honestly can not recommend a favorite order as I have great praises for everything I have ordered so far. So hit this place up and order anything . You won't regret it. The only advice I can give is to order ahead through the app or website. The wait was like 15 mins the 1st time I went. That's on me, not them I should have known. I looked at the menu online and already knew what I was going to order the first time. All this brings me to the UC which recently opened in Ranch Palos Verdes/San Pedro. I've been there twice. So 3 times to this establishment and 2 times there. I don't want to write a bad review on their yelp link because they just opened. Don't know what's going on but the focaccia bread is way way better here than there. But for now I would much rather make the 30 in drive to this place than the 10 min drive to there. read more

I went to the newly opened Long Beach store on a whim while I was walking to another eatery. I ordered the Keto Cobb Salad, no extra protein, to go. There was a bit of a wait, and the no-less-than-11 people working the back was almost comical. I have to admit, I was getting a bit leery of my impulse lunch. Ordered here a few times and all were just okay. Kind of like a better Panera Bread or something? Not super bad but not super great either. It's expensive to me for what you get. Last order I tried to order 1 cookie and also redeem a free one but didn't get either. I called since it was a to go order and the guy I spoke to let me know it was ridiculous to waste his time with such a small non significant issue. Of course he didn't say that exactly but the long pause and response was clear to me what he said it in his head. I know missing cookies isn't super important but I've also spent over $30 each order so at least slightly pretend to care. His solution was confusing and short and I haven't seen any reimbursement so don't think the issue was fixed. I don't know if I'll go out of my way to try them again. Everything's so expensive everywhere so maybe I'll keep looking for a place I can get more bang for my buck. read more
