I had a really good experience here. Is it the cheapest option? No. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But overall, the vibe is great and the food is super solid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been here a couple times, and my visits are highlighted be how nice the workers are here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never felt out of place in a place that sells food that makes me feel out of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And that says a lot.

Smoke Chicken Teriyaki Bento with Garlic Pepper Rice
    Jennifer K.

I always passed by this place in The Hangar, but I never got the chance to try it until now! I ordered the Build Your Own Bento Box with Smoke Chicken Teriyaki, Garlic Pepper Rice, Smoke Teriyaki Sauce, and Spicy Garlic Sauce, and a Matcha Moringa Soy Latte. The Bento Box looks amazing. There's sides of purple bean sprouts, cucumbers, and red pickled radish. There's also mixed greens under the chicken, along with a banana leaf. The food was great, the rice seemed popular among reviewers and it's popular for a reason, it's not too salty, and it's a good amount of garlicky. The chicken doesn't have enough teriyaki sauce on it, but they do give you a side of it which is great. The sides are all delicious and go along well with the rice and chicken. The spicy garlic sauce tastes like typical spicy sauce from Asian restaurants. They also give you a cute packet of Kewpie Mayonnaise. The Matcha Moringa Soy Latte is good if you're not expecting it to taste like a regular matcha latte. It's very sweet compared to regular matcha lattes, but you can still taste the matcha flavor. It's not too milky or creamy. The employees were very kind. He was very helpful when I asked how big the bento boxes were and what sauces he recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wagyu Street is located in The Hangar which is a food hall so it's always pretty noisy and depending on the time and day, it can get difficult to find seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think I would come here again, there's a lot of interesting things on the menu that I'm curious about!

Amazing beef bowls. Totally underestimated them to be honest. The house bbq sauce is a perfect companion to the beef. Its basically a yoshinoya on steroids.. I wish there were more places like this. You can tell the quality of beef used as well

    American Wagyu Sukiyaki Beef Sub
    Lang B.

Was at the craft fair this Sunday at The Hangar and decided to try this place out for lunch. The place was packed, but the line to place my order wasn't bad at all as I was second in line. The staff member who took my order wasn't very friendly. I ordered the American wagyu sukiyaki sub and was given a buzzer to alert me when my order was ready. The beef was very flavorful and tender. It came with some sort of purple sauce ( not sure what it was, but had a sweet/ slight spicy taste). This gave the sub a very interesting taste. 4 stars because my order seemed like it took forever and the burnt part of bread. Be prepared to search for parking if you visit on a Sunday. Parking was pretty bad, we parked by the TJmaxx and walked which was ok with us since our dog got to walk a little :) Seating inside and outside , but all Were taken so we took our food home to eat. I do want to try this place again , the sukiyaki noodles looks yummy

I got to try Wagyu street at the spirit of Japan street festival. The festival its self was cool but this was one of the stand outs. I got to try the American Wagyu Beef Yakisoba and it was really good. I do feel like it was missing a sauce. It came with mayo but I wasn't the biggest fan of. Would like to try other things off the menu.

    Wagyu bento box

1st time at LBX. I like Japanese food and this hit the spot with the ice cold beer I ordered from the bar. Kind of on the pricier end but I guess its wagyu and comes with sides. I come to expect pricier food from food halls anyway. The bento portion was enough for me. You order at the counter and get a pager and pick it up when its ready. It was ready pretty quickly, about 10 mins.

Such a tender beef tongue bowl. I had this with garlic rice and added a soft boiled egg. The server was not friendly and seemed bothered that I asked how long the beef bowl had been sitting out. Yeah it's under a heated lamp but I need to be careful what my child consumes. I should be able to ask without getting a sigh and eye roll.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot for a quick bite![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wagyu was super flavorful and tender. Portions were just right, and the service was friendly. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Really enjoyed Wagyu Street! The meat was tender and packed with flavor -- you can tell the quality is there. Everything was well-seasoned, and the portions were satisfying without being too heavy. Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Wagyu Beef Curry bowl (with an added soft boiled egg)

After some decision paralysis with a friend in the Hangar we settled on Wagyu Street as a probable safe option with just meat and rice. I'm glad we tried it because it was great! I got the Beef Curry Wagyu bowl and added a soft boiled egg on the side. The beef was tender as expected from Wagyu, in slices and strips almost like you would expect from Gyu-Don (beef bowl). The curry was rich, flavorful, and the right amount of saltiness to complement the beef. It is a bit heavy due to the fattiness of the beef, so just keep that in mind. I do wish the curry itself was served on top of the rice, but nothing that a spoon can't fix if you want to eat the two together. Rice was nice, fluffy, and just the right texture. The seasoned soft boiled egg was delicious and cooked with a nice jammy yolk! Definitely would recommend adding it to this dish if you get it. For the price, I thought it was a reasonable deal considering it was Wagyu (and the current price of eggs...). Would definitely consider coming back here next time at the Hangar!

    Grilled Tofu "Cha-shu" Curry
    Harmonie T.

I was surprised to see a few menu items marked as vegan when I noticed this new restaurant in The Hangar. It intrigued me enough to order the Grilled Tofu "Cha-shu" Salad though my expectations were middle-ground considering it's just a salad. I was surprised to see that it was more than just tofu on a bed of salad greens. It also came with tomatoes, large chunks of cucumbers, edamame, pine nuts, radish sprouts, and rice noodles. I was very pleased with the amount of protein and flavor. https://bit.ly/3VHE1jY On my last visit, I ordered the Grilled Tofu "Cha-shu" Curry. The portion size is very generous! If you love carbs, this came with so much rice. The amount of tofu was not as generous but still enough to fill me up. On the plus side, it came with so much saucy-sauce that I kept for leftovers, and ate with a new package of tofu at home :) https://bit.ly/4fjluRZ Awesome spot that satisfies my Japanese curry cravings!

We just ordered the wagyu sukiyaki curry udon and I don't think you can get this restaurant quality flavor anywhere else.

Got the spicy udon. Trash. Photos shows slabs of beef but I got barely any ground beef. Never coming back

Unfortunately, we were placed at a small corner table where several mosquitoes were flying around, and both of us were bitten multiple times during our meal. We originally ordered the butter scallops and the hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), but were told they were sold out, so we had to order something else instead. The food quality was good, and the appetizers came out promptly. However, my chicken teriyaki never arrived while we were eating. After we had finished our meal, I flagged down another waitress to cancel the order and ask for the check. A few minutes later, I noticed my chicken teriyaki had been delivered to the wrong table before it was eventually brought to ours. The biggest issue was the service. Our original waitress never checked on us, asked how everything was, or offered drink refills. I had to flag down another waitress for drink refills, and she was the only one who was attentive. I still left a tip because of the other waitress who helped us, but overall the poor service overshadowed the good food. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

A really nice young woman who rang me up and handed me my bag of goods. When I got home, I was pleased to see that they had separated the Katsu from the curry sauce, so my meat didn't end up being soggy. Their curry sauce is different from most curry houses. There are some herbs in it that I can't put my finger on, but I love it because it's not like any of the others. Chicken was juicy and rice was fluffy. I also like their kizami ginger which had a nice solid crunch. Even though it took me a while to pick up my food, it was still nice and warm when I sat down to eat it. The menu had such a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, from sushi, to katsu, to donburi, there's something for everyone! Loved the modern clean vibes of the interior. They start you off with complimentary miso soup, which was full and rich (a bit salty for my liking but that's just me). We also ordered a plate of nigiri as our appetizer, and the fish quality was really fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu plate for myself, and my was it delicious. I've never tasted katsu so light even though it's typically fried, and love the sauce they paired the katsu with. It was almost like a mustard? But it wasn't too overpowering or anything. We finished the night with the tempura ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a MUST. I honestly just expected them to throw some panko on top of a scoop of ice cream, but Te-Buru's take is (somehow) baking a tempura crust right onto a giant scoop of ice cream and then cutting up the scoop into wedges. The ice cream surprisingly did not melt all that quickly either, and the matcha flavor was on point. Our servers were quick to meet our requests, nothing super outstanding but made the meal pretty seamless. Prices I think were pretty standard except for their sushi. Those are bit on the steeper side, but again, their fish quality is really good. For parking, they do have a small lot, but there's also street parking and parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. You'd be delulu not to try Te-Buru!

Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I've had in Long Beach so far. From the moment I…read morewalked in, I felt transported to Japan. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I believe the owners were there that evening, they were incredibly kind and even toasted with me a few times, which made the experience feel extra special. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. I wish I could tell you exactly what everything was, but my ADHD memory isn't doing me any favors . What I do remember is that every bite was delicious. The sashimi melted in my mouth, the nigiri was perfectly prepared, and the presentation was stunning from start to finish. If you're looking for high quality sushi in Long Beach, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. I already can't wait to go back. P.S. The photos probably do a better job of remembering what I ordered than I can.

I went with the teriyaki beef ($2 up charge), mixed tempura (one shrimp and mixed veggies), and spicy tuna roll. Deb went with the chicken teri, mixed tempura, and salmon roll. The bento box comes with miso soup, and green salad with a ginger miso dressing. We both enjoyed our bento box. However my teri beef was tough. I probably should've sent it back and got the chicken instead. We loved the mixed tempura. It was crisp and not too greasy. I also liked my spicy tuna roll. Service was friendly and attentive. There's plenty of parking which is shared by Target and other smaller stores in the same lot.
