Most dim sum places opens later so my stomach can't wait to eat breakfast. Wah Sing opens at 8am so that is a definite plus for me. As for the food? Definitely good. Prices are reasonable for the quality so this will be my go-to for to-go dim sum. I ordered the bean curd roll, shrimp hat gow, shrimp cheung fun, pork shiu mai, Chinese sausage roll, leaf wrapped sticky rice, and pan fried turnip cakes. Every item I ordered was fresh and piping hot but what was surprisingly good was the leaf wrapped sticky rice. No skimping on the filling, the sticky rice was the right texture with that nice sticky chew and all contained in a neat and yummy package without being the least bit greasy. Turnip cake was my least favorite of the bunch but still serviceable. Ordering on a Thursday morning was a breeze. Either mark the paper menu with your order or tell the cashier. The restaurant is clean but not much in terms of space or style. It's definitely a to-go situation. The employees are cheerful, friendly and welcoming so it's a nice way to start the morning. Service was terrible, food is decent and considering inflation, their price is decent. This looks to be a dim sum express, to-go type of place except there is nothing "express" about it. The ladies working there today made me wait 40 minutes without any explanations and ignored me when I tried to ask them about my order. I only ordered 9 dishes, I'm not sure why I had to wait 40 minutes while watching several customers before me not get their food because it was taking too long and also seeing the customers that came after me get their food first. They are very disorganized and only seem to be really helpful when you speak Cantonese. I will not return here because I don't want to wait this long for express dim sum food ever again. If you phone in ahead to order, maybe give it a good 20 minutes grace period from what they say just in case they are lying about the wait because they seem to have trouble with time management. Service is a mix of experienced and a little rough, the lo bac guo is more plain than anything else, can't say I was too excited about the har gow or shu mai-- they were utility at best. Was a nice surprise to see they had zhongzhi (the triangle-shaped sticky rice). Rice was perhaps a bit too sticky and the filling quality was just okay, but given how hard it is to find good zhongzhi I'm not complaining too much-- I know just how hard it is to make! My girlfriend suggested this place but to our surprise this is a to-go restaurant, don't bother using one of the four tables, they're very uncomfortable. That aside, the dim sum is good, we've been here four times and have tried at least twelve different items, I particularly like the taro puff. On our first visit we had to wait about 10 minutes for the Har Gow, no big deal, but a gentleman, maybe owner/manager, comped us 1 extra item, very cool. Everyone I've interacted with has been very courteous and kind. As for the prices, my girlfriend (Chinese) introduced me (Latino) to dim sum 22 years ago. Back then the price for dim sum in the San Gabriel Valley ranged anywhere from $1.50 to $3, it was inexpensive even for that time. Today regardless of where you go dim sum has increased ridiculously, so $4.79 to $5.09 in my opinion is slightly less than most places right now. read more

Entered password wrong on credit card reader and locked himself out - didn't bother telling his dad/owner or any other employee. Took forever to get the system back up. He wanted to refund me in cash, which was fine with me, but he did not include the tax that I paid until I asked him about it. Also, apparently only 1 chili sauce is given for free per order, no matter how much you order. Food is good. But please get your shit together. I tried out this dim sum place recently with a friend and the food was really fresh. I would definitely recommend the siu mai and baked barbecue pork bun. The siu mai was juicy, soft, and hot, which made it even better and the baked bbq pork bun had a nice sweet coating on the top with a good portion of pork on the inside. The staff there were also really friendly even though they were getting busy and checked up on us to refill our tea if we chose to dine-in.
