I always have a bad experience at Whataburger and I go years without going there before thinking of giving it another chance. Here we are again. Disappointed. Ordered online, removed pepper ranch, avocado, and onion .... Asked for Mayo... receipt shows requested items perfectly. Ended up with a burger with no sauces, no mayo, nothing but bacon and cheese. After spending my entire lunch break in line for this, I did not have time to go back so I requested a refund and was told that since it's an online order there's nothing they can do to refund it and offered me free food .. which I declined because I am just over this restaurant chain at this point... Walking into this location I was greeted right away by a busy employee who than went straight to the register to offer to take my order when I was ready. (The restaurant was very clean!) I ordered a number 2 to go and my food was out in fast manner, little to no wait at all. I asked for spicy ketchup and the cashier grabbed me some with no hesitation. My experience here was a solid 100/100. I was greeted, taking care of nice and quickly, staff was hospitable and the store was clean! To top it off my food was hot fresh and delicious! Just go to In-n-out please. This place does not even come close to In-n-out in any way,shape, or form! The food is at most mediocre and the service was TERRIBLE! I walked in and waited longer than five minutes at the front with no service. You could hear people in the back talking but no one came up to take my order until an employee coming into their shift walked in and told someone inside that there were customers out front. Even then the two employees proceeded to have a conversation in front of us instead of helping us. It took an unnecessarily long time to get our order taken. This was my third time at Whataburger and second at this location. My first experience was at a Whataburger downtown and it tasted better. Plus this location screwed up my order both times. I get it's a fast food restaurant so I don't expect much, but I'm also buying for a family of 5 so I'm dropping around $40 to $50. Being new to Whataburger the menu can be confusing and they don't let you know all the ingredients on your Burger. So it's a good idea to ask. The first disappointment was when I walked in and saw someone taking back all the fresh brewed ice tea containers to the back, so I had to settle with the fountain drink brand Fuze tea. Decided to try the pico de gallo burger and it was disgusting. It sounded refreshing, but it has a cilantro lime sauce that tastes sour. My husband said Its also super spicy with the pepperjack cheese. I wanted a single patty with American cheese instead of pepperjack. However, they just added american cheese to the pepperjack and made it a double junior for some reason. So I waited while they fixed it. Meanwhile my family practically finished eating. They were also completely dead. I mean not even a car in drive thur the whole time we were there. Maybe two other tables were occupied.I don't like a super busy restaurant, but it makes me wonder why they have no business around lunch time. The other time I was here I got an avocado bacon burger on Texas toast. The bread was soggy and there was barely any avocado. Probably just stick to a regular burger if you go here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I Downloaded the app showing the BOGO meal. We drove through the drive-thru made my order, informed the person of the special drove up to pick up my food from the window and the cashier couldn't figure out how to redeem my BOGO. She called the manager who was beyond rude, refused to accept the offer that was stated. I handed him the full amount of money obviously upset. Extremely unprofessional night crew. I work at an ER and my coworkers and I placed an online order. There were already issues with the Lyft driver who was bringing the food (i guess that's who whataburger uses for delivery now?). All of the meals were missing fries, no big deal. The big deal came after calling. Whoever we spoke to was talking to her coworkers complaining about customers and orders before deciding to finally talk to us. We asked if we could get the fries somehow or refund the portion of the order that wasn't given, since they couldn't deliver and we couldn't leave the hospital. The girl on the phone was blaming her fry station and stating she couldn't do anything because she wasn't the manager, but wouldn't allow us to speak to the manager. Anytime we said something, it was repeated back to the staff in a demeaning and belittling manner. We eventually elected to end the call as we weren't getting anywhere. I called a second time a few minutes later just asking if I could speak to the manager. The lady was actually talking shit about my previous call and took ~30 seconds to finally respond, and she clearly did not want to be on the phone. After asking to speak to the manager, she stated "i'm gonna be honest, he's not going to talk to you." I asked if we could at least try, to which she responded "what? was your order missing its fries?" i said "i would just like to speak to the manager, i have an issue i'd like addressed". the employee then proceeded to laugh in the phone and hung up. she. hung. up. i wasn't that upset about the fries, boohoo, but the belittling was completely unnecessary. do not call me baby on the phone and talk shit about me being polite to your coworkers. extremely disappointed. will be disputing the charge, leaving reviews on all platforms and following up with corporate. unbelievable way to handle a minor issue. read more
