This is my second time ordering chicken from Witch's and this is hands down my favorite chicken place in LA. The first time I went with drumsticks and the second time I went tenders. There is no dining in option available as they operate as a takeout restaurant. But you can grab your food and head over to the food court on the top floor to enjoy your wings fresh and hot. My friends and I have been on a KFC (Korean fried chicken) tour to find the best Korean fried chicken. I was excited to try this new place that many people have been raving about. We ordered the original wings, sweet soy wings, and seasoned fries with ranch sauce. The sweet soy wings were nicely marinated in a sweet and savory sauce and was my favorite between the two. The original wings were delicious with a solid batter that wasn't too thick. Both wings were served hot and crispy. Their seasoned fries were amazing and went well between the bites of chicken. I would have to give a 7.5/10 taking into consideration the taste, flavor, and size of the wings. It's a solid place for Korean fried chicken wings and worth a try! I'm always up for some good fried chicken. So naturally I couldn't pass up an opportunity to try this place when I saw the reviews on Witch's before I stopped in to do some shopping at the Galleria Market. My expectations were pretty high based on all those 5 star reviews. I ordered half original and half mild spicy bbq. The mild spiciness had just enough kick that it didn't set my mouth on fire. The order was ready in 15 mins while I grabbed a few things from the market. The only down side was there was no sit down place to eat it right right away so I had wait until I get home to enjoy the chicken. The traffic home was bad and I couldn't resist the smell of the piping hot chicken and the fried garlic. I decided to try a piece of the chicken. I highly recommend against doing this in the car because one bite and all that crunchy crust exploded sending lots of little pieces flying over all the cabin. LOL. But, boy it was tasty. And the fried garlic tasted like roasted garlic; it was mild and delicious. The drive home took 40+ minutes. The original chicken was still crispy but the bbq sauce made the other a little soggy. Next time, I think I'll just take it upstairs to the food court and demolish it before I leave. read more

Yall - this place is so good! I have yet to find better Korean fried chicken in LA. The chicken is always cooked to perfection with such delicious sauce. I have only ever tried the spicy k bbq flavor and it's so good. The servings are huge. The boneless meal comes with tteokbokki in it while the bone-in does not. Their fries are also beer battered which are SO delicious but the last time I went they were just serving regular fries. I hope it was not a permanent change but I've been too scared to order the fries again bc I don't want them if they are not beer battered. This restaurant is within the galleria mall. I noticed some other reviews take away a star because of it but it's so fun. You order, and then get to shop around. It is an Asian grocery store so just go in thinking if there's anything you need for your house from there while they make your meal. The BEST fried chicken in California!!! I went yesterday for my birthday as I had heard about Korean fried chicken and had been wanting to try it for quite a while. It's located inside the grocery store in the Koreatown Galleria and 100% worth the trip! I been a regular to this place for over a year now but things have changed alot. Prices went up and the chicken pieces have been inconsistent every time I would pick up an order. It's like a lotto system on what kinda of chicken you will get. Sometimes its like the size of your fingers and others are the original size they had from the beginning. As others have said the sizes went down and you don't get radish if you don't order through them over the phone. Also kinda of shady thing was when I first got my frequent card it had free drink after 5 stamps and 7 piece wings after 10 stamps. I forgot my card one time and had to get a new one and at the end of the my 10 stamps I told them to combine it together. Only found out when I used my card it had changed to 5 piece instead of 7 and free drink was gone too. Seems friendly over the phone but very shady way of doing business now. The original drumsticks were perfectly crispy and super juicy. The thing lacking is the flavor. I had to dip each piece into the spicy ketchup to get the flavor to match the quality of the texture. We all know fried chicken, especially whole chicken doesn't take fifteen minutes. Just breasts alone takes ten minutes to be done perfectly. This place is one of those place where you order a WHOLE CHICKEN (2 breast, 2wings,2 legs, 2 thighs) they cut the breast into four pieces and make it seem no one will notice that the two thighs is missing. Witch's chicken is located inside Galleria Market next to Baro kimbap. They were really busy because of the super bowl but service was friendly and efficient. I waited about 35 min for my order but I imagine it normally takes less time. I got the whole fried chicken with half regular fried and half spicy garlic soy chicken for around $20. The order comes with 2 pickled radish containers and 2 sauces (extra $0.50 for more sauces). By default, the sauces included are dijon honey mustard and spicy ketchup, but you can request for a different combination ahead of time. I got the spicy kbbq sauce which is the same sauce as one of the flavors they use to toss the chicken. It's the homey, spicy yangnyum sauce I remember growing up! Mustard was good too. By the time I got home the chicken wasn't super crispy anymore but the flavors were still delicious! The breading of the regular fried is flavored so it was pretty good on its own - the side dipping sauces added variety without losing the crisp. The spicy soy comes with roasted garlic and thinly sliced green onion on top. Both were nice complements to the chicken, just wish they had put a little more green onion on top. Spicy soy garlic was flavorful too but definitely more soggy and the sauce did not taste very spicy at all. Overall, the chicken here is quite good and I'll likely visit again. read more

Excellent fried chicken. Probably the best I've had that doesn't contain MSG. I read through all the reviews before deciding on the 6 original drumsticks ($10) and was very impressed. Juicy meat and super crispy and flaky crust and not oily at all. They must have fried in very clean oil because I didn't suffer through the usual heartburn. I didn't see the spicy sauce container included with my order until I've inhaled the entire bucket, so I unfortunately didn't get the full experience but I will definitely come back for more. The guy over the phone was so helpful with placing my order I got a whole chicken half and half (spicy and non spicy) and 10 wings (spicy) when I arrived home the chicken only last for 10 minutes and it was gone! I think I can die happy and say I went to KFC heaven. Hands down the crispiest chicken I've ever had. We decided to give it a try after reading the rave reviews and I have to say you all didn't lie. I love korean fried chicken and this place definitely hit the spot! It's located inside of the Galleria Supermarket now, in the corner next to the cash registers, not in the food court. I got the 10 pc half and half of the sweet soy mild and the kbbq mild (about $20 after taxes). I don't have the best spice tolerance levels myself, but I'll probably try the spicy versions next time for a little extra kick (so if you can't handle spice, the mild flavors are very good). Anyway, the wings had great breading and were very flavorful. I think I liked both flavors equally, so definitely recommend getting the half and half! It wasn't crowded when I ordered, but the wings still took about 15 minutes, so I guess they're made to order. They have a couple of tables located next to their stand that were very clean (with a packet of hand wipes on each table), or you could probably go up to the food court if you need more seating. Boy do still waters run deep. I was completely taken by surprise at this small to-go place tucked quietly in the corner of the Galleria grocery store. I'd walked by this place at least 10 times over the past year, before curiosity finally got the better of me, and I decided to try their regular "plain" and Korean bbq chicken wings. The only thing I can say is I'm SUPER ANNOYED that I didn't try this place sooner..... DEFinitely one of my top 3 favorite places for fried chicken. The only bad about the place is that it isn't a sit-down restaurant, but it's so OMG good that I'll eat it in the car, in the bathtub, or sneak it into a movie theater nearby. This used to be my favorite chicken place but it has gone downhill.. we ordered 2 whole chickens of the soy garlic flavor 2 days ago and the chicken was so dry and the sauce was super salty. They also no longer give out their honey mustard and spicy sauce on the side like how they used to -- they charge $1.25(?) now which I think is ridiculous. My mom called to let them know the chicken was super salty and the lady that received the phone call basically said it is just us that complained about the flavor and if we want it less salty we should ask for less soy sauce... Located inside a Korean supermarket, the Witch's Kitchen is inside at the corner of the food court. The prices there are extremely reasonable. The flavor we had chosen was the sweet soy garlic, (large with 15 pieces, priced at $16.50). Including wings and drumsticks, they had a bit more of a sweet taste. I barely tasted any of the garlic. We also ordered fries ($4) as well. The fries we had received were lightly crispy, golden brown, and thick cut. There was nothing special about them besides that. After waiting for around 20 minutes for our food, it was ready. The sauces we had received were wasabi aioli and spicy ketchup. It also comes with daikon as well if you want to cleanse your palette. Came here because a friend suggested it. It's located inside a market, in like a small food court area. Ordered the original fried chicken and soy spicy wings. They remind me of Bonchon wings and are on the cheaper side. The original fried chicken was super crispy and had a good texture. The spicy wings were also good but on the smaller side. We also got the spicy ketchup dipping sauce which was pretty good. Overall the food was good, however the location is kinda weird and out of the way, had to cut through people who were waiting in line at the market to pay to get over. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back though unless I was ever in this specific area! For parking, there's a parking structure though not sure if you have to pay or not.
