Unfortunately, our experience here was overshadowed by an unsettling situation--there were roaches on the tables, which was a major concern. The managers were helpful and did their best to make it right by offering free appetizers, but it was hard to shake the uneasy feeling. Depending on when you come, this place can get packed but luckily you can join the waitlist online to minimize your potential wait. We got the chicken nachos, crispy brussels sprouts, chicken tenders, carnivore pizza and blackened ahi sashimi. Overall, I thought everything was mediocre. The pizza was probably the best item out of everything we ordered because of how doughy the pizza was. The ahi was decent but didn't taste the most fresh. The chicken on the nachos and the chicken tenders were super dry and I thought the brussels sprouts had too much balsamic. Definitely a sharable plate. We also ordered the spicy Jambalaya, with rice, spicy beef garlic noodles, and the Thai grilled pork chop. The beef noodles weren't the best thing on the menu and could use a revamp to improve that dish. Everything else was great. Atmoshere: The atmosphere is great. The inside is full of tv's and great seating spaces. The outdoor patio is beautiful with views of the docks and ocean. It's so relaxing. Great place to enjoy food and drinks. Service: Stagg is great and pays attention to their tables. Their friendly and helpful. Great team with better training. Price: The prices are great especially for the amount of food you get and the quality. Now, the beef noodles snuggled but they loaded the plate. I am overall very disappointed in the service I had today. The only thing I request to do on my birthday (which is today 7/27) was to go to the yard house. The hostess/greeters were very nice but once I got seated and was greeted by our server is where it went downhill. Our server, Grace, was not at all attentive to us at our table. It was just myself and my boyfriend and it was made very clear from the beginning that our service would not be the same as other parties. I understand that I am not the only person in the restaurant being served, and there are other tables that servers need to attend. There was a very large party being attended directly next to us with our server and another server was assisting. Every time Grace was helping out that table there was no walk over to our table at all. When we ordered drinks that the beginning and she IDed me there was no acknowledgment of today being my birthday. I didn't make that a big deal because maybe she didn't realize what day it was or something. We finally order appetizers and then we have to wait 30 minutes until we are able to order our entrees. After that we get our orders and they are wrong, I didn't want to make that a big deal and we just eat the food that was served to us. Our server doesn't even acknowledge that our order was incorrect either. Once we are done eating, we are waiting for our server to come up so we can order dessert and get the check. My partner asks when Grace comes back to the table that we want to order the birthday special/dessert that they have for myself. She then tells us that they ran out of the Happy Birthday stencil but that he can put in an order that says Congrats instead. I'm a little bit more bummed out but Congrats is fine. We are told that once she puts in the order she will come back and let us know we can pay. About 5ish minutes go by she comes back and let us know that she put in the order for the congrats celebration and that we are good to pay our bill. We pay and still tipped btw and are just sitting and waiting for this celebration dessert to arrive. From when we paid and were still waiting it had been 30 minutes and NOTHING had arrived. It was such a terrible experience that we simply got up and left. I just find it incredibly frustrating that I was able to see the other server that was helping the large party with Grace, I think his name tag might've said Mo but I'm not too sure, actively interacting with the other 2 tables in our vicinity even while attending to that large party and his other tables. I don't even think we were being too needy or extra either, I work in customer service myself and I wasn't to make anything worse all because little things were happening but I wasn't so excited to eat here on my birthday and this entire experience was just AWFUL! We worst part is we were just there 2 weeks ago for date night and it was the most fun and wonderful and today was just the complete opposite. I understand people can have "off days" but to not even acknowledge our over presence and that it was supposed to be a celebration of someone birthday is really terrible. I genuinely love the establishment but this experience really made me very want to go back. I don't know if this review is going to do anything or if anyone is going to read this completely but if you really want to go to a Yard House, go to another location. We love this yard house! It's right around the corner from our home so we're here quite often. Service is quick and food is so tasty but I have one thing I just can't get past. We're often ordering bar snacks - chicken tenders, cheese curds, fries, etc. and ask much as we ask every time for them to be well done, there is never a difference in how they come out. Never with that extra crisp. It's not a hard request so I just don't understand! Let a few cheese curds explode - let my chicken be a little more dry! It was a Saturday night and the dodger game on so it was definitely packed and busy! But surprisingly the wait time was only 5-10 minutes for a seat and the service was excellent our server came up to our table almost immediately after seating and was so attentive. They're were 3 of us so it felt like there was tons of food on the table lol but everything we ordered was delicious 10/10!! I hadn't been to Yard House since 2017, and my friend suggested we go. Honestly, I was hesitant--I only liked the coconut shrimp back then, and it's no longer on the menu. Nothing else really caught my eye, but I went with the wings covered in BBQ sauce and some sweet potato fries. My friend had the salmon. The sweet potato fries were good, but the dip they gave me tasted like pancake syrup, and they also gave me ranch--kind of strange for BBQ wings. The chicken was moist, but the sauce was way too strong--no real BBQ flavor, just thick, overwhelming sauce. The service started off nice--the server was extra friendly, and the person who walked us to our table was sweet. But after the server went on break, the backup never showed. Our water was never refilled, and we were left sitting outside in the dark (the view was lovely, but there was no light) until they brought a little candle just as we were leaving. I noticed other tables nearby also waiting a long time for their food. Overall, the food felt overpriced and underwhelming. Now I understand why I hadn't returned since 2017. Came to Long Beach before a cruise a day before and stopped and had lunch at BJ's as it was nearby. Ordered the poke nachos and buffalo chicken pizza. Poke nachos are my personal go to favorite at BJ's and they never miss. The crispy fried wontons with the sriracha mayo, thin jalapeño slices, and fresh ahi tuna makes the best combination. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was very delicious! Spicy buffalo sauce with chicken and dipped into ranch! Perfection! Loved this yardhouse! Amazing view, fast service, clean, and right on the beach. The monuments were walked in, even with a full house, we were greeted right away. The place was busy! Or server was on point being very attentive and made sure we had a pleasant experience. I started off with the strawberry blonde (mind you this place has a crazy alcohol menu) then I went for the strawberry mule which by far tasted great. It was the view and amazing Saturday weather that did it for me and the misses. I travel for a living and I've been to a few Yard House restaurants in this was simply not good. We were seated relatively quickly, which was a good thing. But it wasn't until approximately 12 to 15 minutes before a server came to take our order; and this was after flagging down the hostess, who said us, and several minutes after that, speaking to a manager. We had three different servers in a matter of minutes for whatever reason. Nevertheless, I must say, that the brussels sprouts were awesome! Also, my guest whom I treated to a late lunch enjoyed it Nashville chicken sandwich. But, the garlic fries that were not fresh, were barely touched with a less than flavorful clumpy seasoning. In the main issue? I specifically passed two other restaurants to come here because I want their exceptional hot wings. But when they arrived, they were soggy with no crispiness or a crunch to it at all and they were just warm. I was so disappointed. After bringing it to the service attention, they brought me, what I thought was an entirely fresh bunch but to their chagrin, their were only a few pieces that were hot, fresh and crunchy. I paid the $87 tab. I'm just vowed to not returned again, but assured to leave this review. Good luck. Oh, one more disappointing thing, the first batch of sodas, Coke, and a root beer, had very little carbonation. The second batch plus refills had just a little more. I'm regretfully leaving this report because I really like the Yard House establishments I've visited in the past, but this one right here. I guess it's just a Long Beach thing next time, back to Marina del Rey. And I only say that because they've gotten it right the first time when the visit it and in Illinois, if something was the matter, they always resolved it. And it was with a large party of a dozen people celebrating birthdays, and they corrected everything. This is no review about drink and food cause they were amazing! However service/our server was more than lacking. Mo was our server, it felt inattentive. It seemed like he was upset to be there, like it was obviously his job. Not only did it take forever for him to come greet us but barely checked in after food came and we had to ask more than one person for help or a request. We literally saw him chatting with other servers near the computer as we were waiting for our order to be taken. It felt like my drink was tasting of his cologne because it was so overpowering. We will be back for food and drinks but i would rather wait an hour than be served by him again. To be blunt this is not the type of person any establishment wants working for them. read more

Unfortunately tables are close together and when it gets loud it gets LOUD. The lighting is on the dimmed side. The outside view is beautiful. The water with the boats is relaxing to watch. The alcoholic drink section is rather large, lots of options to choose from. The 4 of us shared 4 appetizers. Calamari, pretzel, sliders and spinach artichoke dip. Had a nice experience here during the Grand Prix. Despite being busy due to the captive audience of race fans, the food and drinks came out quickly and tasty. Our visit started off a little rough as no server came by our table for many minutes after the hostess seated us. I had to flag down another server for her to find the correct person. The server we flagged down was nice enough to take our drink orders in the meantime to keep things moving. Way to go above and beyond for her! Two servers came by a few minutes later explaining that she was going on break and the other guy would be helping out during her break. We ordered a couple of burgers and the ahi tuna sandwich. All of them were nicely prepared and tastier than I expected. Drinks and waters were refilled promptly. The sun was setting, so it was a nice atmosphere sitting on the patio although the sun plus the reflection off the windows blinded me from both sides. Good: A spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Generous food portions. Bad: Many of the food options-- bbq wings, tartar sauce for calamari, Brussels sprouts --have a spicy flavor. Unfortunately , we just ordered these items without reading the descriptions. It took us by surprise as those items are usually not flavored that way in other places. Not everyone can tolerate spicy flavors. The women's restroom needed to be serviced last Friday, during happy hour. The floor was dirty with feces, toilet paper, and seat covers. I reported it and the staff member just smiled as she continued working at the register outside of the restroom. I saw someone walk out with toilet paper stuck to her shoe.
