Delicious and consistent quality with other Yard House locations. Be prepared to wait -- we went around 5pm on a Thursday and waited 30 minutes for a party of four. There is a large patio, bar seating, and regular seating inside. The poke nachos were so fresh and the wonton crisp chips were awesome. The carnivore pizza had a nice bite to the crust and wasn't soggy. The chicken lettuce wraps were on the saltier side, but were still good. The four cheese spinach dip had good flavor, but the dip had more of a cream cheese texture instead of being gooey and melty. Food came out quickly.

Went here for lunch for a coworkers's retirement. You park in a parking lot after an arm gate. I didn't pay attention to the parking lot or how much you have to pay or if there's a certain amount of time for free after validation. We all sat outside. Service was good. Food was ok. Nothing bad and nothing too out of the ordinary for a lunch experience. Wouldn't have been my first choice for lunch but I do enjoy their happy hour once in a while. I did get the fish and chips and was surprised at the portion. For lunch? What in the world haha.

First time at this location.... Late night dinner party of 3. We arrived at about 11pm. There was no wait and we got seated right away at the High top tables near the bar. Our server was very nice and pleasant. Once we ordered, our food came out super fast... fresh to order (counter top bar area is open seating). The poke nachos and lemon pepper wings both were very delicious. My friend ordered the chicken nachos and it was a huge portion size..... definitely shareable with the table. Overall this location has a good atmosphere with nice views (near the water) and friendly/helpful servers. They do have plenty of parking but make sure you get your parking ticket validated. After validation I paid $2.50.

Came here for happy hour. Sliders: I must have been in a burger n fries mood because these were my favorite. Calamari: decent. Can't complain. Buffalo boneless wings: we thought we ordered the ones with the bones but boneless we got. We didn't feel like sending it back so we just ate them. They pretend decent. I'm not a big beer drinker but will definitely come back for happy hour!

Friday Happy Hour: Party of two. Arrived at 3p. Receptionist look like she didn't want to be there or be bothered when we checked in and asked for first available table. About five minutes later we were seated. Very busy, and packed in the area we were sitting. Our server, we can tell is overwhelmed. He explained he will be with us shortly. Ten minutes, he stopped to bring us water and get out order. The ordering tablet did not work, he took our order manually at around 315p. We ordered Nachos, Pizza and Calamari. It took 30 minutes to get our drink order and I ordered only a beer. My friend, ordered a Margarita took another 10 minutes after that. Nachos arrived at 415p, pizza at 430p and still missing the calamari. At 445p, at that time we were pretty full and thought about canceling the calamari. Shortly after at 505p calamari arrived. I understand short staffing from server and kitchen staff so we did not make a fuss. My bff and I were there to enjoy the afternoon and not in a hurry. Our server, Miguel V. did a wonderful job updating us about our order and almost apologetic regarding the wait and phasing of the orders. But this experience left us a bad impression that we are probably going to think twice about coming back. No complaints about the food, they were prepared fresh and delicious. Miguel V. managed the short comings very professionally, despite the kitchen shortcomings. I believe he was not set up for success. I will rate our experience 2 STARS because of that.

Came here on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty busy but not a long wait. We waited less than 10 mins for a table for 4. Our server Sam was nice and friendly. We ordered the sesame seared ahi tuna, fish and chips, the Thai pork chop, and the enchilada stack. The food took about 20 mins to come out but we took less time to finish it all. We really enjoyed the food and we had no left overs to take home. We always enjoy Yard house and the Long Beach location is a good one.

Cheers to the New Year! (Did I say that already?)

Sometimes it don't want to overthink dinner and then old comfort spots are handy. We came in for NYE dinner to grab some nibbles early in the evening and our timing was perfect. The place was hopping, as it usually is, being in a touristy sort of place, but you know there's plenty of locals here, too. What I really appreciated was, even though I think of NYE as a holiday, as did a couple other restaurants in this area, YardHouse did not. They honored HH bites and pricing. Since we were just looking for nibbles, this was perfect. Hubs went with the pepperoni pizza and I chose the calamari and sliders w/small fries. I also can't say no to their delicious, cold ON TAP cider, but did manage to remember I'm not in my 20s anymore, so I opted for the pint and NOT the yard. It was a very big challenge! (Fond memories of that yard long cold cider....) All the food was served hot and tasty and we were well cared for from the hostess to our server, to the food runners and bussers. They now have a semi-automated system of ordering at the table, but for us Old School folk, the staff was attentive and checked on us and kept orders up to speed so we didn't have to bother with that. Honestly, I think of the 'puter on the table as a means to ending in-person service, staff cuts and budget savings for corporate. Aside from that, I'm not sure how often those screens are sanitized and, being a food situation, this gives me the icks when I see them on the table. People can be - and are - nasty, y'all! Get rid of these digital ordering pads. If we ever need a quick bite again, when in this part of Long Beach, we would consider YardHouse an option. Cheers! "CC"

This spot is located at the shoreline village so theres parking just dont forget to validate your ticket. And if you parked at the pike parking structure (like i did) they dont validate so go to famous daves or chilis to do so. Came around 1:30pm on a friday w a party of 4 and not long of a wait. Our servers were great shout out to Austin, he was training and did amazing. Go easy on em Brian but great job as well. I came in hangry so everything will taste good. However, the mediterranean salmon ($28) was a MISS the fish itself was ok but the veggies underneath was bland needed a lot of salt and hot sauce. I also ordered their spicy garlic edamame which was pretty good better than most sushi spots which was the only thing i really enjoyed. My friends ordered: Steak bowl* (was actually pretty good) Birria tacos (x3 option between 2 or 3 came w rice n bean) Salmon salad Onion rings Oreo brookie If Come here once a year

Love this location! It overlooks the boat harbor, which makes for such a great view. The drinks and food were amazing, and the ambiance really elevated the whole experience. Yard House is never disappointing, and this location adds an extra layer of charm.

Brain was our server and he is the best. Food was good but he made the difference. Its very rare to find good service these days and with a table of 8 he didn't miss a beat.

I'd heard this is the very first Yard House, so we wanted to try it after moving to Long Beach. It's a really cool location -- the patio overlooks the marina and passing ships, which gives the place a great vibe and atmosphere. This was my second time eating here, and I actually like the food better than the Yard House locations I'm used to in Orange County. The quality and flavors really stood out. That said, we were seated outside this time and the service was lacking. We had to walk up to the server multiple times just to get assistance, which took away from the experience. Overall, the food and ambiance were strong, but the service fell short. I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5.

    How is the parking?

    Do they take reservations?

About a month ago I called to make reservations and they do not rake reservations. Walk in only. Wait can be long during peak hours.

Is happy hour available on Labor Day?

It depends on the manger that is working. One year no one year yes

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, dogs are allowed, only on the patio. As long as the dogs are quiet, well behaved and will stay laying down under the table.

Hi do you guys do brunch on Saturday?

Hey Karina! We don't have our brunch-specific menu anymore, but we do have some brunch-like items on our regular menu, such as Avocado Toast, Nashville Hot Chicken, Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

We'd like to ride our bikes down to the Yard House this weekend, is there bike racks close to and/or visible to the patio?

Hey, Jyll! Yes, there is a bike rack in front of our restaurant on the parking lot side.

Hey Suzanna! We do not take reservations. It is first come, first served.

When is the least busy hour so there is no wait time?

Hey Marlene! Our wait times change very frequently. We recommend visiting right when we open, or calling our team to get the most up to date wait times: (562) 628-0455

That is correct! Unfortunately, we’re no longer partnering with any third-party delivery service. While it might not have happened to you, we found that deliveries weren’t always arriving in a timely manner and our food wasn’t always being handled… Read more

Are you guys still taking happy hour to go orders?

Hey! We are no longer doing Happy Hour to go. Our Happy Hour items are available to go as part of our regular menu, and we are doing Happy Hour in the restaurant.

Can I make a reservation? If the party is of 7 and there are 4 present will they be seated to wait for the remaining 3? Or do all members have to be there to be seated?

No, it's first come, first served.

Is late night happy hour back yet?

Hi Cassy! Yes we have Late Night Happy Hour on Sun-Wed from 10:00pm to close.

Are you guys currently using a wait list and if so how do you join?

Hi David! At this time, our wait list is not available. We are seating first come, first serve.

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots. Try the Baby Gee appletini while you're there. Mezcal, tequila, sake appletini you ask?? Yes. Trust. And get a hot dog. Do it.

It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

We parked in the multi-story parking garage behind Hamburger Mary's. Secret Island is a little over a block away. You can make reservations on OpenTable. It has a bit of a speakeasy entrance, as it is not plainly marked. Look for the staircase going down with greenery around it and the Secret Island sign downstairs. Go right at the bottom of the stairs and there is a little walkway where you see a very cool tiki display. It you stay there long enough, the lights will flash and you will hear thunder. Walk a little further and go through the door to enter. I was blown away by the atmosphere and build. Kudos to Bamboo Ben! It is dimly lit with a ton of cave wall, bamboo, thatch, netting, tiki lights, floats, skulls, tikis, and other décor. The bar is loaded with bottles and looks great with dark blue and green backlighting. The bar top is wood with deep cutouts that are filled with clear epoxy. The booths in the main dining area are little tiki huts and even have clouds overhead. There was great tiki music playing the whole time. A few times an hour a thunderstorm hits. The lights dim, lightning flashes with thunder sound effects, and red lights illuminate cracks in the floor that looks like lava veins. There is also a photo-op "Pele's Throne" which is a big lava rock surrounded chair. We sat at the bar and had the coconut shrimp appetizer ($12). The shrimp were breaded and cooked well, and had a coconut sprinkle on top. The spicy dipping sauce complemented the shrimp well. I started out with the Drunken Monkey (Makers Mark 46, Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon, allspice, Angostura bitters, normally $19, $17 during happy hour). It was somewhat bourbon forward with a little funk from the Jamaican rum. I definitely got the cinnamon notes with a little banana and allspice in the background. She started out with the El Capitan Hook (Del Maguey mezcal, pineapple, banana liqueur, Luxardo cherry liqueur, lime, $17, $15 during happy hour). This was smoke forward with light pineapple and banana flavor. I had the Hula burger ($18) which was very good with a lot of different flavors from the various toppings. It came with a decent amount of fries, and was a filling plate. She had the pineapple bowl fried rice and added with BBQ pork ($17 + $5 for pork add-on). It is served in half of a scooped out pineapple and had a good amount of rice with pork and green onions on top. It had a good mix of teriyaki sauce on the rice and BBQ sauce on the pork. Next, I had the Rum Runner (coconut and blended dark rums, banana liqueur, raspberry, grenadine, pineapple, orange, lime, $18, $15 during happy hour). It was very pineapple and coconut forward which overpowered all of the other ingredients. She also had the Let That ManGo (white rhum agricole, coconut, mango, lemon, $18, $16 during happy hour). The primary flavors here were mango with some grassiness from the agricole. We were here from about 6pm to 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead with only a few other people in the place the whole time. They do have a stage in the back with live music acts, so it is probably busier when there is entertainment and on weekends. Our first bartender was Alex who was nice but we barely talked with him. Manager Pedro took over the bartender duties later on and we had a great time chatting with him. Service was great from both of them. The drinks are a few dollars above average, but if you come during happy hour, the drinks are several dollars off. Happy hour is currently all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. The food was good, the drinks were ok to good, and the atmosphere was great. Normally, this would probably be a one and done, but I really liked the build and would like to come back when it is busier, maybe on a weekend.

My girlfriend and I came in excited, however we were not greeted. Honestly, at first we asked if it was open (looked really dead inside.. like really really empty). He had a snarky comment and we had to stop and glance at each other. The look of "do we leave?". We sat at the bar top, he tossed over some menus, took our order and was really not happiest. It ruined our mood, and our intention was to stay and enjoy a drink or some food. However the atmosphere wasn't welcoming, almost uncomfortable. During one drinking session, I think I heard Sonic Reducer three times; that adds an extra star. Before we get off track, let's get back to my opening line; when my life is in shambles, I come to V Room. It's fun, it has great music and things just don't feel as bad here. My last venture to ye olde V, my roommate broke up a fight in the girls room, my friends and I drunkenly sang along to Iggy Pop, and a hipster girl was hoisted out by the straps of her 90s era child's backpack. So, all things considered, my life may be in shambles, but at least I'm not brawling in the girls room. The drinks rule and the bartenders are the BEST.

Acts as if you're the issue for coming to have a drink at "A BAR" . Eye rolls whenever anything was asked for. Went to pay & when the " tip" wasn't up to her par , she made the comment under her breath " why even **** come out cheap f**k?" Why even be a bartender if you're not going to provide a service. You don't get a tip for being terrible at your job. That's not how this works. Management will probably read this & brush it off because she'll have a lame excuse like we were the problem or needy. Nope. She is the problem. Even the regulars mentioned they can't stand when she bartends because her attitude is so terrible. Fix your system please. Get better people.

Our service was very slow and the drinks took a very long time to come out. We were some of the only people in the restaurant, so I can't blame it on being very busy. My girlfriend ordered a mojito and it tasted more like a margarita than anything. Our appetizer was okay but for the price you pay you don't get much. My burrito was decent, nothing to write home about. But you could definitely get a better one in Long Beach for $5 cheaper. My girlfriend ordered a salmon special which was about $30. I've never had a more overcooked piece of fish in my life. When the server asked how our food was I informed her the food was extremely overcooked. She didn't seem to care and there was no offer to find some kind of solution. I wasn't expecting a comped dish or anything special, but a little acknowledgement would have been appreciated. I wouldn't reccomend this place but if you're going to the club there and want food I guess this could be a decent option.

I got the Backyard BBQ burger with tater tots and the Bacon Bleu burger with fries.  Backyard BBQ burger - the onion rings at Sideburns are some of the best in the game, so this was obviously stellar. An indulgent bite and they don't skimp on the bacon or onion rings either. Bacon Bleu burger - this was loaded with bleu cheese! I thought it was awesome, but my friends definitely thought it was a little too much to handle. Definitely order if you love bleu cheese. It was perfectly balanced by the sweet strawberry jam and peppery arugula. If you're looking to cure your hangover before it even starts, head to the Stache. The vibe is chill, with good bartenders and a good movie playing on the projector every night. Food is awesome and served late, which we all know is a rarity around here.

The fries and poutine fries are as good as regular potato fries come. The cheese curds are the best I've ever had. Service: A Their customer service is good. They've messed up a couple of times on our order and they always correct it. When I ordered " The Poutine " she thought I ordered the poutine fries so she let us keep the fries and ordered The Poutine Burger for me. Next time I'll make sure to say " burger " to respect their food costs and bottom line. But maybe we will just order the Poutine fries too because now we know how delicious they are as well. Ambience: B Is chill. Dark and they will put the game on for you. It's a Greenbay Packer bar hence the B rating instead of A since we're Detroit Lions fans ;D
