    If you're moving out of seas, I IMPLORE YOU TO NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. The crew destroyed treasured belongings and the manager, Anthony Johnson held zero accountability or a response when my family and I voiced our heartbreak and concerns. Instead, all we got back was a message from the reimbursement company so now I am implied to give this review about the San Diego Ace Relocation Company. Due to Covid, my husband and I had to step in & out of the apartment when the company sent at least 9 people to pack our belongings in our two bed, one bath apartment and I CANNOT stress enough how TERRIBLY THEY "PACKED" OUR BELONGINGS. The crew that packed our belongings threw glass (a coffee pot) on top of my fridge pictures, tupperware and various items in my kitchen causing me to cut my hand open upon opening the "crate" that they call boxes. It is just a paper that they throw your items into, bag them and tape it up like a gift wrap. However, they still record it as a crate in your invoice. We have had over $1500-$2,000 in damages because of the crew members who packed our belongings. My wedding dress, my husbands Airforce Service Dress were all abruptly thrown into a box and now they are ruined from being crumbled and the mildew that accumulated in storage. My wedding tiara is also completely bent and unusable. Whoever packed the kitchen also took it upon themselves to shove spices/seasonings, hospital prescribed ibuprofen and epsom salt into the paper wrapping with my Tupperware and as a result, all of my items are bent and covered with all kinds of substances. My pictures frames are bent, two broken, and even my dog of 13 years who recently passed away had her paw molds and old collars thrown into the bottom of wrapping paper with a handmade dream catcher, that is now bent. The items in my bedroom were also thrown into paper and wrapped and jammed together and now bent. My jewelry stand that my wedding tiara was also thrown in and damaged WITH my tiara that was well over $100. My husbands $700 desktop was never even wrapped throughout its shipment and is completely broken. Even his motorcycle helmet is badly scratched. Our main coffee table was disassembled and the parts to reassemble were not given or packed. Two of my lampshades were bent and disfigured. When unpacking the kitchen dishware and other fragile items, our heavy 5lb cast iron skillet was placed haphazardly on the top of all of our fragile items (glass dishes and fragile apothecary jars). Our sharp kitchen knives were thrown in the box with our dishes without any proper labeling. This type of carelessness also resulted in bodily damage, which I have reluctantly recorded at the time that it happened. I would also like to point out that the Packing Inventory states that there were 48 "cartons." I numbered each BOX that we received and counted 20 BOXES. That means 28 of our items listed "cartons" were discarded into paper, wrapped and taped together which resulted in numerous damages as well as bodily damage, which I would like to point out once again. The packing paper is also pictured which reached the top of the ceiling in my house, further concluding that our items were wrapped in PAPER. My family and I have several damages to our items and after going two months without our stuff, we were heartbroken and distraught to discover our stuff treated the way that that they were. I voiced every one of these concerns, word for word with Anthony Johnson and never got a reply so I'd like the public to know what you're getting with his staff. Here is a link of the damages and mistreatment of mine and my families belongings for those who have highly valued and irreplaceable (signed posters, handmade arts & crafts) items. I instructed the manager as well as two ladies that we're helping with the claims process several times that we are in Germany and therefore, cannot receive phone calls from the state side. The same night that I spoke with the claims department, I expressed to the manager of the San Diego branch that the only way we can be contacted is through email. My last email to him was on October 28th and on November 4th, I posted my review and the same day he finally sent me an email back regarding the situation. My husband and I took it upon ourselves and made several attempts to call him via a phone call app (allowing us to call into the states) before he was finally in his office. All he told us was that he spoke to his team about the issue and emailed us the reimbursement information.

The day before the move I received a confirmation call. Dmitry and Andrei showed up on time with the big white truck. Our one bedroom/ one bath upstairs apartment had 65-70 boxes in addition to normal furniture. The destination for drop had an elevator. These guys worked non-stop and fast while carefully wrapping furniture with plastic and furniture pads. Boxes upon boxes were stacked and moved out. The guys were friendly and professional. This was not their first rodeo and it showed. They were on a mission! We led them to the destination and they efficiently brought everything into the new unit, unwrapped and placed all the contents of the former home. 4.25 hours later and the moving nightmare was completed. Everything appears to be in tip top shape. They even offered to have us look in the truck to be sure nothing was left behind. Thorough and again, professional. We didn't have to deal with "sticker shock" and unexpected up charges. We have no idea how these guys can do what they do but we thank them wholeheartedly. Tips were deserved. We read the Yelp reviews and they add up to our experience. We have already referred someone to them. We'd have zero reservations to refer anyone in the future!

Because of my job, I've had to move between Southern and Northern California (and vice versa) and within SoCal for both long-distance and short local relocations. Every single time, I have relied on them heavily to pack my entire household one day and move me the next. The logistics are always seamless thanks to Jennifer, who handles the scheduling and details perfectly. On the ground, Aurelio and his team are incredible--they are extremely reliable, friendly, and always arrive right on time. What really sets them apart is their expertise with fragile items. I've watched them work, and they are masters at "moving Tetris." They wrap every piece of furniture securely in padded blankets and shrink wrap to prevent any scratches or dings. For my most delicate items--like kitchenware, electronics, and artwork--they use a meticulous multi-layer approach with high-quality packing paper and bubble wrap. They are strategic about loading the truck, ensuring heavy items are at the base and my fragile boxes are safely secured on top or in "buffer zones" so nothing shifts or gets crushed during the long drive between NorCal and SoCal.Plus, they stay organized by labeling every box with the correct room and using 'Fragile' or 'Handle with Care' stickers wherever needed. They are such hardworking, sweet people who never ask for much, though I'd highly recommend having some cold water on hand for them during those hot summer move days. I first reached out to them on Yelp and then began communicating with them over text message. They responded promptly to my messages. I reached out to at least 5 other moving companies and Little Guy's rate made the most sense, they didn't charge additional fees like an administrative fee or random fees that other companies do. They charged me 120/hr cash or 130/cc. Two movers arrived to my home right on time, it was great. In the past, other moving companies have arrived late. The two men (Mr. L and Mr. E) who assisted me with my move were friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job wrapping my furniture and making sure all my items were secure. I thought their pace was fair and efficient. Mr. L and Mr. E worked hard and it was truly appreciated. Jan 2026: I hired this moving company again and they did a great job. I had a problem with my storage unit key which made us run late but both Jennifer (admin) and Mr. A were so understanding. I felt terrible that I messed up with not having my storage key but the team was so kind. The move was quick and efficient. Both movers were friendly. One of the movers did look very young though. On a side note, their prices did increase by $10, I believe. I would 100% recommend this moving company and will be using their services in the future.

We've had a terrible experience in the past with a small business we found online--an auto body repair shop that did such a poor job on my husband's BMW that we ultimately had to take it to the dealership to have the work redone. That experience made us very hesitant about hiring any company we didn't already know personally. Ben, the owner of Sunshine Moving, completely changed that perception for us. From the very beginning, Ben was honest, fair, transparent, and incredibly communicative. He personally came to our home in La Jolla to provide an estimate for our move to San Francisco and gave us a quote that we felt was both reasonable and straightforward. There were no surprises, hidden fees, or pressure tactics. One thing we especially appreciated was that Sunshine Moving operates on a straightforward lump-sum agreement. There were no shady hourly charges, surprise overtime fees, double-time clauses, or hidden costs that seem all too common in the moving industry. We knew exactly what we were paying from the start, which made budgeting and planning far less stressful. We also appreciated the way Sunshine Moving structures payment. A deposit is paid upfront, half is paid when they pack your belongings, and the remaining balance is paid only after the job is completed. That level of transparency gave us tremendous peace of mind. The moving crew was outstanding. They were punctual, professional, careful, and treated our belongings with respect. We had several antique and sentimental pieces that would have been impossible to replace, and everything arrived safely. The team worked efficiently while still taking the time to protect our furniture and valuables properly. What impressed us even more was the complexity of our move. We relocated from La Jolla to San Francisco, and our new apartment is in a high-rise building on the 16th floor--near the very top of the building. Despite the long distance and the challenges that come with moving into a city high-rise, the crew never complained, never slowed down, and maintained a positive, professional attitude throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly. What really stood out was Ben's communication. He sent multiple texts throughout the moving process to make sure we had everything we needed, confirm that nothing was left behind unintentionally, and ensure that everything arrived exactly as expected. It was clear he genuinely cared about making sure the move went smoothly from start to finish. Because of the excellent experience, we happily gave the crew a sizeable tip. They absolutely earned it. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found these movers and wanted to share our experience for anyone else who may be worried about finding movers they can trust. I lived at my last place for 4 years and have accumulated a lot of things over the years (including furniture) that I wasn't prepared or willing to move myself. Chris and Michael showed up early to set up the truck and was helpful. They packed up so many things that I didn't even know was possible to get packed (including my 48" squishmellow hah). The moving process was much easier and less backbreaking with them packing/moving things than me doing it myself. Only reason I deducted a star is because the estimated moving time was 3 hours but the move ended up being closer to 5 hours instead. I paid in cash to save some money but ended up being $60 short because of the over time. Overall, 10/10 would hire movers again. I'm too old to move all these big furniture and boxes by myself with friends.

Maybe because it was just a storage move but our items in storage still are important. I will give two of the guys very nice and professional. The main guy was the one with attitude and seems to have an anger issue. I will give them the positive is that they did text me 20 minutes before arriving. Everything seemed to start okay but I already noticed no care of our items, they dropped stuff and didn't seem to care. Granted it wasn't too important, but I wouldn't trust them with anything antique or valuable. Then they said one items was a marble table and it's too heavy. We've moved 5 times and no one has said anything to us about the weight. Positive; they didn't charge us for the item. As I mentioned if any of the other 5 movers said it was a heavy item, I would've been upfront about it. But since no one else I've used in San Diego said anything, I didn't think it would be an issue. Then I saw the guy start getting angry and seemed to not care about anything bc he had to move this heavy item. He started throwing tape on the floor twice very angrily. I felt scared as a woman and thankfully my boyfriend was with me. But if you're a single lady and someone is giving you that attitude, be aware. Most of our stuff was just left in a "general" area. With no care. If we pay for 3 hours of work, the expectation would be you work 3 hours. Yet I was told "you treat us like robots" 2 hours in when we still had 1 hour of work left. I wanted some boxes moved from the garage to the room (all 1 story) maybe 10 feet away and was given an angry attitude. I'm sorry but we're paying you to do a job. So at the end of the day they got 1 free hour of pay and a tip. But I would never use them again. So unless you want to be treated rudely and scared, use anyone else. Ps Jeff/owner will probably respond and just argue about the one heavy item. I'm not disputing if I had known it was going to be considered heavy I would've said something. ---- Edit: What I can at least say is Jeff was at least professional and offered a small refund for the issue. So I upgraded the review to 2 stars.

We didn't quite hit that, but at no point did it feel like anyone was wasting time. The crew hustled the entire job. They listened to how I wanted to prioritize the move. We focused on large furniture first, got all the key items handled, then worked through the rest. Communication was constant. They asked questions, followed direction, and adjusted quickly without any pushback. The team was professional the whole time. No hesitation, even with heavy items or sending things upstairs. Everything was wrapped appropriately, not overdone, just done right. Nothing was damaged, and they were careful with walls and flooring throughout. We had discussed heavier items and drive time ahead of time, and everything was handled fairly. No surprises. I also compared pricing beforehand, and their rate of $199/hour (cash) plus the $60 truck fee was in line with what I was seeing. We ended up at about 3 hours 45 minutes total and paid $825, which felt great for the level of effort and coordination involved. Every move is different, but there were no surprises. Vladimir, Dima, Greg, and Aibek were a great team. They worked hard, communicated well, and stayed professional throughout. Overall, a hardworking, professional crew that provides solid value and takes care of your belongings. I would definitely recommend them.
