Our third time flying into and out of Long Beach airport. First time trying this restaurant. It's nice they have indoor and outside seating for the courtyard. The prices are fairly reasonable too for an airport. My wife ordered the bowl of clam chowder and it was meh. I tried it and it was just ok. Kind of greasy too. I had the fish and chips and it was pretty good. The coleslaw didn't have a lot of flavor but the fries and fish were ok.

Had a delayed flight and this was the only spot open at LGB. Service was fast and no-frills. Ordered the poke salad (crazy airport meal choice) and it was definitely not bad at all. I really enjoyed the dressing. Only counted about 10 pieces of tuna and wish that portion was bigger. I really wish they would make a bigger menu! Most items look fried and I'd love to have more options to choose from.

Breakfast Market Bowl - I'd ask for balsamic glaze on the side.

The Boathouse is a favorite on the Marina. Love all the local businesses that are set up in the beloved Long Beach Airport, including Boathouse. Although we don't get a pretty view of the Alamitos Bay here, they do provide an al fresco patio area for travelers to enjoy some delicious drinks and a hearty meal before their departure. The bartender(s) are always on deck, ready to take your order and serve your drink. Previously, I got the Breakfast Market Bowl, which came with sautéed greens, veggies, breakfast potatoes, and two eggs your way. Unfortunately, they don't poach eggs here, so I opted for sunny side up. The ingredients were fresh, but I wasn't feeling the balsamic glaze on the dish. Adding hot sauce helped. This time, I got the Grilled Chicken BLT with sourdough, salad and a side of fries. The chicken was juicy and smoky, the bacon was crispy and the garlic herb aioli went well with the sandwich. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crisp and not too greasy. The fresh house salad balanced out the meal. I washed down my lunch with a La Marca Prosecco. The price point is what I'd expect at an airport and it was all worth it!

I stopped by here after walking through the TSA security checkpoint. I was starving and luckily sat at the counter and didn't have to wait. I ordered the two eggs breakfast plate with the sausage patty. The food did take some time. It took about 20 minutes to come out. My server was nice and attentive. The food isn't anything special but it's a simple breakfast and did its job. The sausage patty was pretty salty though.

The service here was awful. Our waiter was slow and we had to repeatedly ask for water refills. I asked for a refill and he gave did so, my sister's glass was empty and he didn't refill hers. He took my niece's drink order and returned with nothing. Then he asked her again like it was his first time seeing her ‍ . She had to go and get her own menu. I know how LA is and don't think black women tip, maybe that's why we got such terrible service. The ambiance is overpriced food at an airport in Cali. The fish didn't have seasoning nor did the batter. The fries tasted old.

They have the best calamari!!! That's all I ordered, and I ate the whole thing with no crumb left behind. The waitress came back, laughed, and said she knows how delicious they are. The staff were great and patient, even with how busy it gets at the airport. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The best restaurant at LGB!!

Located inside Long Beach airport near terminals 1-4. Great restaurant with lots of seating outside, some inside seating, and bar seating. Their menu isn't super extensive but boy do they have great options and food!! We were all so amazed by how good the food was! The cherry on top was our server Giovanna, she was an absolute Gem and superstar who made our lunch before our flight worthwhile. Now we know which place to go to when we happen to pass through LGB.

I stopped by this burger place in Long Beach Airport right after the TSA checkpoint, and it was a fun little surprise. There's plenty of seating outside, which is a nice perk, though indoor seating is a bit limited. But once you're seated, it's got a nice, easygoing vibe. Like most airport restaurants, the food was good, but not mind-blowing. I ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon, and it was solid, probably a 4 out of 5. The fries were pretty ordinary, nothing to write home about, but the coffee cake was a highlight. It was super fresh with a delicious caramel drizzle on top. As expected, the prices were a bit higher, but nothing outrageous. It was just your typical airport markup. The real star of the show, though, was my server, Gil. He was super friendly, really made the whole experience more enjoyable. Overall, it was a good stop: just a classic airport burger joint, but with some charm. I'd swing by again.

Our favorite steakhouse ever!!…read more Took my boyfriend here for his birthday for the first time and we absolutely fell in love with 555! From the service, to the food, to the ambiance, it's all so amazing. We ordered the mac and cheese, ribeye, filet mignon, souffle, and got the creme brûlée for his birthday on the house. Every single thing we got was literally amazing and seasoned so well. We typically have to add salt to our steaks whenever going to a steak house, but not at 555. It was seasoned SO PERFECTLY. It was even cooked perfectly too. Writing this review is making my mouth water just thinking about it. It is a steakhouse, so you're looking at your normal steakhouse prices. Hopefully we'll be back soon! Highly recommend!

Updating My Review of 555 East Steakhouse…read more I'm here to update my original review of 555 East Steakhouse in Long Beach. Our first experience was unexpected of 555's caliber of a restaurant because one of our steaks simply wasn't up to the standards we expected. However, one of the managers, Solana, reached out personally and asked us to give 555 another chance. I truly appreciated that gesture, so we decided to return. I'm so glad we did! This time, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. I called for a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night, and Solana told me, "We'll fit you in." Our original party was four, but at the last minute, two more people wanted to join us. Even with the change to a party of six, they accommodated us and gave us a beautiful table on their outside deck. And then came the steak! We ordered the 30-day aged 26 oz Porterhouse, sliced and served beautifully on a board. It was absolutely superb--juicy, tender, richly savory, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious, and the presentation made the experience feel extra special. The garlic mashed potatoes were also absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the steak. Plus first corkage is on the house! To top it all off, at the end of our dinner, they comped our steak. That was an incredibly generous gesture and truly showed us that they cared about making things right. A huge shout-out to Solana and the entire 555 team for listening, reaching out, and giving us a reason to come back. You turned what started as a mediocre experience into a delicious, memorable, and unforgettable evening. Thank you, Solana, and thank you, 555! This is what great customer service looks like. Along with a great steak!

This reservation was made unknowingly during a time a huge rave event was going on and despite the parking and timely challenges for all our guests (including me), staff were so impressively understanding, polite, kind, friendly, respectful and patient with us! Our waitress Laura was amazing and so attentive. This was the overall highlight of the dinner. Food was served quick and was delicious. Definitely as advertised and quality food as expected for a steakhouse. We had our own cake which they happily stored in the fridge for us, allowed it and even lit it at the end of dinner. Prices are on the high end with food and drinks, so be prepared to spend $$$$/$$$$$. My only suggestion would probably be to separate a bar/ drink tab if in a large group. It was hard to know who ordered what at the end of the night when receiving the check and it was huge section of the bill. Overall, ambiance was great with a live jazz band who was amazing, views were 360, and experience was well worth it. I definitely enjoyed my special day here and will be sure to come back for future life events.

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

They were flavorful tasty. I ordered the Filet Medallions. Unfortunately, I had to send my plate back as the meat was more medium rare, and I asked for medium. I have to say that it did return pretty quick and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was very tender and seasoned well. My husband or the Chicken Milanese and the lemon sauce was delightful For dessert, I ordered the Gateaux chocolat and it was decadent. We started with appetizers: mussels ($23) and braised lamb belly ($25). For the main course, we ordered a ribeye steak ($69), Scottish salmon ($46), and "dirty pasta" ($36). Drinks included a glass of wine ($17) and a glass of Coke ($4.50). With tax ($23.15) and an "employee benefits" charge ($5.51), the total came to $249.16 before gratuity. The mussels are cooked in a broth of white wine, nduja sausage, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and parsley, with a toasted baguette served on the side. I liked the overall taste of the dish, but the mussels were small. The braised lamb belly was an interesting dish, as it was served with kimchi and thin sheets of daikon radish on the side. I assumed the idea was to make a "taco" by combining the three components. I liked it, though the lamb had bit of gaminess which might not appeal to everyone. The ribeye plate comes as steak only, with sides available à la carte. The steak was cooked nicely--juicy and flavorful, though I was a bit surprised by how rich it tasted. The "dirty pasta" features large rigatoni, ground duck, ricotta, and sauce. It was good, and the duck made for an interesting change from the usual beef. As a complete plated meal, I think the Scottish salmon was impressive--both for its visual presentation and the taste of the meal as a whole. The restaurant floor has a split-level design. Upon entering, you'll find a large oval bar surrounded by tables and booths. Step down a level, and there are seats offering views of the Long Beach marina. This area with a view is protected by windows--which is good, as the marine air is often cool and breezy. It seems that nearly all the establishments owned by this restaurant group have names starting with the letter or word "A." When searching online, use the words "a pch restaurant," as "a pch" alone is apparently too vague a search term. A final note to management: I was surprised to see a $5.51 charge for "employee benefit" on our bill. I playfully asked our server what benefits this covered, but they didn't know. They mentioned it could be removed if I objected, but I chose not to. My point is, if you're charging diners, shouldn't your staff be able to explain it? And if the line item can be so easily discharged, maybe you shouldn't be adding it in the first place.

It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.

I had been wanting to try this place for quite a few years now, but every time I looked at the menu…read moreonline the prices stopped me dead in my tracks! We happened to be in the neighborhood and within very close proximity so I said "phuck it", lets FINALLY give it a try lol. Patio dining is the most popular as they do not have AC inside; however, the tables were too close for my comfort (there were a couple open) so we chose to dine inside and it was not bad in there (temp wise) at all (they have a fan on). We started off with the burrata app (24.00, gulp!) & it came with three rolls (not sure if homemade), the burrata, and what appeared to be a tapenade. It was tasty but definitely not worth the price. For entrees, I ordered the pappardelle (26.00) which came with a pork ragu & bone marrow (BTW, pasta is made fresh in house). BFF ordered some type of pasta with spicy pork sausage (33.00). Both were very tasty with just a tad of spiciness. We did not order any dessert as our server did not offer any as well as not seeing it on the menu (one page menu). I am glad that I finally got to dine in at this place; however, it is for special occasions only (in my book) as it came to 115.00 for 2 (before tip) & that was with no alcoholic beverages (just soda). I did notice on their website that they have "oyster hour" (happy hour with oysters) 6 days a week so I'd definitely like to try that with more reasonable pricing!
