ahi poke salad
Emily L.

Had a delayed flight and this was the only spot open at LGB. Service was fast and no-frills. Ordered the poke salad (crazy airport meal choice) and it was definitely not bad at all. I really enjoyed the dressing. Only counted about 10 pieces of tuna and wish that portion was bigger. I really wish they would make a bigger menu! Most items look fried and I'd love to have more options to choose from.

I stopped by here after walking through the TSA security checkpoint. I was starving and luckily sat at the counter and didn't have to wait. I ordered the two eggs breakfast plate with the sausage patty. The food did take some time. It took about 20 minutes to come out. My server was nice and attentive. The food isn't anything special but it's a simple breakfast and did its job. The sausage patty was pretty salty though.

The service here was awful. Our waiter was slow and we had to repeatedly ask for water refills. I asked for a refill and he gave did so, my sister's glass was empty and he didn't refill hers. He took my niece's drink order and returned with nothing. Then he asked her again like it was his first time seeing her ‍ . She had to go and get her own menu. I know how LA is and don't think black women tip, maybe that's why we got such terrible service. The ambiance is overpriced food at an airport in Cali. The fish didn't have seasoning nor did the batter. The fries tasted old.

Breakfast Market Bowl - I'd ask for balsamic glaze on the side.

The Boathouse is a favorite on the Marina. Love all the local businesses that are set up in the beloved Long Beach Airport, including Boathouse. Although we don't get a pretty view of the Alamitos Bay here, they do provide an al fresco patio area for travelers to enjoy some delicious drinks and a hearty meal before their departure. The bartender(s) are always on deck, ready to take your order and serve your drink. Previously, I got the Breakfast Market Bowl, which came with sautéed greens, veggies, breakfast potatoes, and two eggs your way. Unfortunately, they don't poach eggs here, so I opted for sunny side up. The ingredients were fresh, but I wasn't feeling the balsamic glaze on the dish. Adding hot sauce helped. This time, I got the Grilled Chicken BLT with sourdough, salad and a side of fries. The chicken was juicy and smoky, the bacon was crispy and the garlic herb aioli went well with the sandwich. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crisp and not too greasy. The fresh house salad balanced out the meal. I washed down my lunch with a La Marca Prosecco. The price point is what I'd expect at an airport and it was all worth it!

They have the best calamari!!
Dee F.

They have the best calamari!!! That's all I ordered, and I ate the whole thing with no crumb left behind. The waitress came back, laughed, and said she knows how delicious they are. The staff were great and patient, even with how busy it gets at the airport. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The best restaurant at LGB!!

Located inside Long Beach airport near terminals 1-4. Great restaurant with lots of seating outside, some inside seating, and bar seating. Their menu isn't super extensive but boy do they have great options and food!! We were all so amazed by how good the food was! The cherry on top was our server Giovanna, she was an absolute Gem and superstar who made our lunch before our flight worthwhile. Now we know which place to go to when we happen to pass through LGB.

Coffee cake with caramel

I stopped by this burger place in Long Beach Airport right after the TSA checkpoint, and it was a fun little surprise. There's plenty of seating outside, which is a nice perk, though indoor seating is a bit limited. But once you're seated, it's got a nice, easygoing vibe. Like most airport restaurants, the food was good, but not mind-blowing. I ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon, and it was solid, probably a 4 out of 5. The fries were pretty ordinary, nothing to write home about, but the coffee cake was a highlight. It was super fresh with a delicious caramel drizzle on top. As expected, the prices were a bit higher, but nothing outrageous. It was just your typical airport markup. The real star of the show, though, was my server, Gil. He was super friendly, really made the whole experience more enjoyable. Overall, it was a good stop: just a classic airport burger joint, but with some charm. I'd swing by again.

Recently stopped by Beach City Deli & BBQ after seeing recommendations online and decided to order…read morethe Big Kahuna. Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The pineapple added to what's basically a Cuban style sandwich sounds different at first, but it works perfectly. The balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and smoky was spot on. Everything tasted super fresh and the bread held everything together perfectly without getting soggy. My original plan was to eat half and save the rest for later... yeah, that didn't happen. Ended up finishing the whole thing because it was that good. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the whole spot had a really chill local vibe. Definitely a hidden gem if you're in the area. Highly recommend this place and I'll for sure be back to try more off the menu.

But, I understand. That particular sandwich is loaded with 6 kinds of meat. The contingency sandwich became the Big Bucky, w/ the choice of 3 meats. Soppressata, mortadella, bacon, extra onions, pickles & tomatoes. A satisfying, filling sub sandwich that made for a pleasurable lunch. A nominal wait, the meat were freshly sliced, and assembling the sandwich with plump & crisp vegetables, it was worth every minute of delay. The cashier was friendly & a pleasure to deal with, too.

We went into Dilly's for the first time, and ordered a pastrami sandwich. I asked if the pastrami…read morewas fresh, and let me fast-forward to the answer-YES. The server (owner?) asked if we wanted cheese and Cole slaw, and that's how we got it. The sandwich was big enough to share so if the sandwich seems pricey, consider sharing. Although on a hungry day, I could probably eat it all with no problem. Dilly's has a fairly decent amount of craft beers on draft. I wasn't in a beer-drinking mood so I didn't look too closely at the list. I love it when restaurants support local brewers, and this looks like the kind of place that would do just that.

Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

It's located in Bixby Knolls, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, bars and breweries, yet it's the only true wine bar right there. Honestly, Long Beach has more wine bars than most surrounding areas, and since the South Bay is packed with breweries, if you're tired of beer this is your sign to switch it up. You will not regret it. The food menu has cheese boards, salads and sandwiches, and everything I've had here has been delicious. The cheese boards are better than sex. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's minimal, but somehow we always manage to find a table. The service is consistently great and the owner is wonderful. She will be leaving soon and she will absolutely be missed, but what she has built here will definitely be cherished. The new owners fell in love with the place, so you can expect it to be well taken care of and to remain just as charming. Parking is street only, so read the signs carefully so you don't end up with a ticket. If you go on a Sunday there are no restrictions or time limits, which makes it even better.

It contained the pickled veggies and meat perfectly. I also liked how the bags had little holes to let the sandwiches breathe.
