Got inside just a few minutes b4 the crowd on a Tuesday evening..... 4-7 is happy hour special.......I don't drink so...so what I was happy to hear was "car truck special"...lime a salad bar but it was all you can eat chips, salsa, (the usual right...) yet also queso (very good btw), taco meat, refried beans, and pico salsa.... That was a treat.......I had fajitas, the one I ate was good....too full....to eat anymore...my friend had enchiladas...ate them all up... Good average Mexican food. Lots of different cocktails! Place is still new, expect a wait, be patient with the new staff. Adam was our server and he did a superb job! Been going to this location for 3 years now and decided to order today for cinco de Mayo and knew it would be busy. The problem is when I ordered the guy on the phone said the order would be ready in 20-30min but when my wife got there (30min later) it wasn't ready after waiting a hour she asked to speak to manager and a girl said she would get one (never happened) then she had to wait another half hour (2hours total) for the food to finally come Out. Then she gets it and the meat is cold, beans and rice are cold and they forgot the tortillas and chips. The issue isn't the wait time, I understand thing happen some times and we have to deal with it, my issue is the lying. Two different employees lied about what's going on (two different stories as to why it was taking so long) then when the food comes out it's cold. If we had to wait so be it but at least bring out good food!!! If the restaurant can't handle the orders in a timely manner they shouldn't take them in the first place. Be honest with your costumer so we can eat at a different establishment that can handle the volume. read more

Came all the way from Oklahoma to visit with some friends and unfortunately, had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. After waiting over an hour for my food that did not arrive my waitress came and told me that my car may have gotten broken into. Sure enough my car was amongst the SEVERAL that was broken into tonight. All of my valuables were stolen out of my car. This Chuy's location is better than the one in Denton, but still not as good as any Chuy's in Austin! The food, drinks, and service were very good. There's a massive parking lot here, probably because it's close to Texas Motor Speedway, and it's easy to get to. I think Chuy's overall is just a little too overpriced for what it is. read more

This Chuys struggles with service. And this has been taking place before the pandemic started. If you order to go, triple check your order because something is always missing. When we visit in-person, orders are consistently incorrect. We find the best service is usually in the bar area. Chuy's is hands down my favorite Mexican food restaurant. It's all about the green chiles! Warning: they are addicting. You can't go wrong with the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas. Well we are normally not in this area but came to check Buckee's out as I've never been to one. So we saw Chuy's on our way there so stopped here for lunch as we enjoyed the location we normally go too. We were estimated a 30 min wait with not many folks in the waiting room with us but we maybe had a 10 min wait so our biggest wait was my husband finding our table because he had run my son to the restroom thinking we had a long wait. We saw a few people leave when they had been told 30 so I was kind of surprised they would end up turning people away but they possibly had groups they didn't know how quick they would get up & I would rather be over told than under. We had really good service and was understanding to the fact that my husband had run to the restroom. Plenty of drinks and the food was great! If we are in the area we will be back! read more

I've been here twice. Several weeks apart. Both times got seated immediately and then became invisible for 30 minutes. No chips were brought out. No one came to get our drink order. Nothing. They have you text a number when you arrive but you never get confirmation back that they have even gotten it so you just keep waiting. I've already paid for my $70 order so i can't just leave! Chuys creamy jalapeño sauce is to die for. I love that you can get on the wait before you arrive in their website. Service is meh. Servers are great, but it's just so busy and you know they are doing a lot so sometimes it can take a bit for them to meet your needs. Food is always so good though! This Chuy's is a rendition of Austin's version of Chuy's. And of course, after living in Austin for 8 years and knowing Tex-Mex food really well, I think I can speak on this fairly well. Plus, I have eaten at all of the Chuy's in Austin many times before Yelp even existed. I was a little disappointed by my experience here. The food was a little overly-spiced, I believe. We ordered several dishes. The burrito which was really really spicy, it should have been served in New Mexico instead because it was more for their tastebuds rather than for Tex-Mex, in my opinion. But, my salad was good, filled with veggies, lettuce, and was tasty. The enchiladas was pretty good though and we ended up sharing them between all of us because it wasn't as spicy. If you order food to go, you must check the food to make sure it is what you ordered. I ordered the 2 enchilada plate with both filled with ground beef. Took it back to CA, froze for a few days, and when I opened the box up I found I had a chicken enchilada and a folded enchilada with nothing in it. We liked Chuy's, especially because of the hatch green chili sauce. But 4 of the 5 times we have ordered to go plates, we have not gotten what we ordered. Update to previous review: So, i have two complaints about my recent visit to Chuy's. 1. I think it's absolute BS that i am charged 1$ for a small bowl of cheese..when you barely give enough for the combo fajitas for two that we ordered. Not to mention, we forgo the guac, the pico and most of the add-ons. I just wanted cheese and lettuce..and to be charged for extra cheese is just wrong. And to top that...the cheese didn't even come out till after i was done anyway... 2. Don't ever ask me if I want to contribute to a charity at the table. That is incredibly awkward. If i say no, i look like a insensitive jerk. I am all for charity ..and St Judes is a great organization. ..but let me decide on the check..don't ask me. read more

Chuys was a great experience. Our server did an incredible job taking care of us. Warning...Not much in the way of GF options - they have a menu but it is all vegetarian stuff. Kudos to them tho...they do go out of their way to accommodate and they grilled a piece of chicken before they seasoned it so my daughter could eat more than vegetables. We ate outside on the patio which was nice. Great Mexican food. Environment is fun and the t-shirts are great. One of these days I will actually pull the trigger and buy one. read more

Traveling for work and landed in Dallas Fort worth Airport around 8 pm so not too many options when we arrived at the Courtyard Marriott hotel. We walked over and were pleasantly surprised. We all had the tacos dinner. My steak was a little dry and tough to chew, but the shrimp and chicken were very good. The guacamole was creamier than I prefer but still good. I really liked the grilled veggies in my steak fajita taco and the dinner came with lots of toppings, guacamole, cheese, pick de Gallo, rice and beans. Solid stop when you are hungry. My husband took me to Chuy's for my birthday. It was the first time we had ever visited this restaurant. We were so pleasantly surprised by everything. Our waitress was Shelley. She was quirky, sweet and a pleasure. The manager, Ann came to our table to deliver complimentary queso dip and explained that all of the food is made fresh daily. Nothing is kept overnight. The food was reasonably priced and there was a LOT of it. The food was amazing and so fresh. We had a great time. The atmosphere was bright and inviting. My MIL used to work at Burger King, and one time she brought home leftover onion bits. The smell was so strong that it made everything our kitchen smell like onions. That Burger King is now closed, but I think this Chuy's might have picked up one of my MIL's former co-workers because the Tres Leches cake I had tonight tasted like it came from the fridge with the leftover onions they were saving to take home. read more

Javier our waiter constantly forgot about us or items we requested. Most of the time spent there was waiting on our waiter. Even after we paid he took his time getting the check back to us. This time we could see him chatting and taking other people's orders but I guess we were on Javier's time. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the crowded DFW area. They have a funky theme going on with all the memorabilia on the walls, which gives a almost forget about your day vibe. Then those damn chips, every time I tell myself only a few chips and bam the server is shoveling in more chips. (Horrible place for dieters) My favorite is the Steak burrito which I find has some of the tasty steak in a burrito anywhere, plus the put a green hatch chili sauce on top... I ate yesterday evening at the Chuy's restaurant with my ex-wife. It was my first time to eat there and I have to say that I was absolutely floored at the great food and service that we received. I don't do well with real spicy food, so the salsa was a bit to hot for my palate, but the creamy jalapeno ranch sauce which my ex recommended to me for the tortilla chips was absolutely the best alternative to salsa or queso I had ever had; and it was so good I added it to my chicken enchiladas with the green tomatillo sauce, and it was fantastic. My ex and I both got chicken entrees, she got the flautas and I got the enchiladas and we both noticed how full both were packed with rich "white chicken meat" which made the taste of the food exceptional and the portions were unbelievable. Our server Ivet was absolutely the best I had experienced in a long, long time. She really made a good impression on us by her thoughtfulness and in spite of us being just one table of many, she treated us like we was her only customer. Everything that we asked of her was given a fast and quick response, and we wanted for nothing. It was our first sit-down meal since all the COVID-19 restrictions and fallout, so it felt so good to be able to enjoy a meal that was not Uber Eats, Grubhub, or other kinds of take-out. All the protocols that Chuy's had in place were reasonable and very well thought out. Our silverware was in a sanitized sterile sleeve, and our table was sprayed with a pleasant smelling sanitizer before we were seated on the patio. Everything was done to prevent any contact between our server and us besides what was needed in order to enjoy our food. There was so much food that both of us had to get take-home containers so that we could enjoy the food we had left, for a later time. All I can say is that Christina's, Gloria's, Posados, Mi Cocina's, Uncle Julio's, and a slew of other Tex-Mex restaurants that we have enjoyed and frequented over the many years, have all moved down the food-chain list and I can promise you that Chuy's is now King of the Hill as far as I am concerned. Keep up the great work Chuy, you are doing all the right things and my inability to not say enough good things is quite evident. You definitely exceeded all of my expectations and many thanks for a superb meal and dining experience!! And NO I am not a Chuy's employee, but I am a very happy camper with a big smile on my face from the opportunity to find this "golden nugget" amongst many Tex-Mex restaurants and competitors in the North Fort Worth/Alliance area!!!
