One of the few cold stones in the area that still have great service. Me and my friend went here for some ice cream treat one night, and was immediately greeted by one of the girl employee. Ask us what we wanted and if we wanted to try some new flavors. And eventhough we tried to used coupon, the girl didn't skimp on our ice creams. Amazing customer service! I usually don't write reviews but I had to after my experience today. I was helped by a sweet young lady named Nicole. I will admit I didn't really know how to order as I don't go to cold stone very often, but she was very patient with me and did not make me feel rushed at all. She was quick and happy to answer any questions I had which I really appreciated. She went through the options with me and helped me create my own ice cream. The service was excellent. Nice and quick. I just felt a little unsafe as the door was closed and there were about 5-6 customers inside and was hesitant to go in. READ CAREFULLY BEFORE VISITING I will call this a public service announcement. Hopefully it will save lives or prevent someone from getting sick. I can't express enough how disappointed I am in this place. So far this seems to be the only business in the city of Long Beach that doesn't enforce the use of masks nor do they have a sign posted near the entrance saying a mask is required before entry. I think that is irresponsible. Also there seems to be no limit to the number of people allowed inside. No 6 foot social distancing rule is being applied here. Customers pile in and there is zero movement from store employees to enforce social distancing. The floors are marked 6 feet apart but I don't see anyone paying attention . Isn't this something that is required by the city??? There seems to be no concern for customer safety and protection and no desire to slow the spread of covid-19. We are in the middle of a pandemic and cases are now on the rise. Please STOP focusing on the sales and do the right thing and ADD A SIGN AND ENFORCE ENFORCE ENFORCE THE 6 FOOT RULE. read more

Of course none of us were able to make our minds up and he just made a few different options and they were all so good. He totally interacted with the kids and we had a blast. This review is not intended for the workers but more for the management. I was at cold stone last night around 6pm and while I was waiting in line I witnessed another customer being extremely rude and aggressive at one of the workers, demanding a refund for part of their order. I overheard the worker say she didn't have the authority to give the refund and even tried to offer some solutions, but the woman was so mean and nasty and pretty much TOLD the girl she was "going to give her a refund". As this woman was barking at this poor girl she was saying there was no sign that says you cannot get a refund which further fueled her determination to stand firm until she got her money back. I then witnessed another worker call somebody, who I assumed was the manager. From what I could tell the manager offered the customer a refund or a newly made ice cream. It was very disappointing to see how management was so quick to give in to this customer's demands even after they verbally abused their workers. What is even more disappointing is there was no manager physically present to support these workers. I will say these young girls handled themselves very well but it is unfortunate to know that management does not back up and support their employees against aggressive customers like this one, especially since this had the potential to turn into a dangerous situation. Great place to take the family for ice cream! They are always so nice. I was craving ice cream and decided to stop. I was really disappointed with my visit. Even though they were fully staffed and no one was waiting in line, the lady rushed me. I barely had time to grab my wallet and she was already by the cash register waiting for my $. I felt awful for making her wait for me, but at the same time, would've appreciated it if she didn't rush me and make me feel like I'm bothering her. This has nothing to do with the ice cream but has everything to do with the staff and their lack of social distancing guidelines. Right after I order I ate outside. I watched a huge group of college students, around 12, come in. Not all of them had face masks, nor was there a sign indicating they were required for entrance. One of them must have worked there because he jumped behind the counter and served and rang up his group. However he was not wearing a face mask nor gloves. Other customers were extremely apprehensive of going in as the lobby is so small to allow any kind of social distancing with such a huge group, so they waited outside. Another employee saw them waiting and banged in the window telling them to come inside. I can't believe such a popular company has such little regards for their customer's health and is so mismanaged to allow someone to work that's not on the time clock. This is one of my favorite ice cream shops to visit whenever I'm in the area....not to mention that it's my daughter's favorite as well. Every time I've visited the shop I've experienced really good service from the employees at the shop... very friendly and courteous. Me and my little one always eat our ice cream in the outside seating area (for newbies be aware there is only outside seating). Very peaceful and great location (bixby knolls area)...lots of flavors and toppings to choose from...I honestly can't think of anything negative or bothersome to think of. I prefer frozen yogurt over ice cream, but I do like how you can get stuff mixed into your ice cream at Cold Stone. The ice cream melts quickly (probably because it has to be somewhat soft in order to mix in the stuff). The staff at this location is friendly and I sometimes feel bad that they have to sing when you leave them a tip. read more

I use to hate coldstones. when i was a kid, and i lived in downtown long beach, my mom would always take me here for a "treat" and i always foolishly ordered the Birthday Cake Remix or something to that sense. i hated the way the chocolate and everything overpowered my overall taste. it was waayyy too much for a kid to handle! but over the years, i have grown wiser. i went alot to baskin robbins for most of my teen years, but now i am back baby! i now try to get something similar to the Our Strawberry Blonde. Strawberry ice cream, real strawberries, real bananas, and caramel and whipped cream topping. i love simple, and i like to make it as healthy as i can for a dessert. tons of people complain about the portion size and way over the top sweetness, but i think if people are alot smarter with their choices, they would really like coldstones. anyways the venue is usually super clean, with available outdoor seating. and the staff is usually super friendly! plus you can easily go to the subway next door(my best friend works there) and get a sandwich before your dessert, make it an entire meal!!! read more

We're either here or Baskin-Robbins for ice cream. I know it's only ice cream but they're both completely different. Cold Stone is a little more on the expensive side but I've recently discovered gift cards available at Costco, $40 for only $27.99, so I do stock up when I'm running low. We usually order the same, "Banana Split Decision", banana ice cream, fresh strawberries, hot fudge, and almonds, it's not on the menu anymore as ice cream so you have to ask for it special, most workers usually know what it is. I bought several Amazon Local deals for this location. It's slightly out of the way, but hey a deal on Cold Stone is a deal! The only downside is that they don't have one of those self serve freezer cases with the cookies and cakes in it. And, when I've purchased cup cakes they were a bit stale tasting. The cookie sandwiches seem to have been a little soft (may have gotten that way on my drive home). I tend to go in the evenings (after 5pm) and the staff is always super friendly and seem to be enjoying their job. Unfortunately, I only have one more voucher left so may not make the trip to this location after that coupon is used. read more
