Avoid for takeout dinner. No better than a microwave TV dinner. Burnt, dry tasteless crab cakes. They gave me some sauce in a coffee cup that I thought was told was for the crab cakes but it was like an Italian vinaigrette so I don't thin. Teeny portions. Two small potatoes in one and not even 2 in the other and like maybe one ounce of a few tiny pieces of vegetables. Not packed well. The sauces spilled out of each container. read more

Food was mediocre, and there were too many flies which really grossed us out. We got the NY Steak with eggs, and the steak was low quality. The eggs benedict was not particularly well presented either. The ricotta waffles were the best out of our food. The drinks were the best part of the meal. Main issue with this spot is the only serving breakfast on sundays. Foh this is America we need sandwiches and burgers at all hours. My girl got steak and eggs. The steak was a piece of semi thin meat wouldn't call it a steak. Over seasoned and a little dry. The eggs I mean it's eggs can't mess it up. Hash browns were good, the toast was a little cold didn't necessarily taste fresh. I just got eggs because I mean it's really all you can get other than super sweet French toast and omelettes. Stopped by here on the recommendation of locals. Great Eggs Benedict and excellent service. It is attached to the a Crown City Inn. The host and servers were all great and even hooked me up with the wifi password so I could read, update fantasy football, etc. since I was flying solo this was a real favor that I appreciated. My family and I went to The Crown today and after telling the waitress that my wife's dish came with one versus two eggs, the way the staff handled it very poorly. In summary, one of your staff came back to our table to say "I brought the dish and it had two eggs in it". It was embarrassing and it does not match what I believe you want your business to stand for. Your clients wait 1 hour for  premium food and service. Great little place! Walked in and sat right down on a Friday morning. I would guess the wait can get pretty long on weekends. I got the Italian omelette and it was amazing. The visit was so great it deserves my review lol. First time visiting the breakfast and brunch site. The staff was so friendly, they help each other with the guest who are dining in. My waitress asked me a good 4 times if I wanted more coffee and that was welcoming. There was construction going on at the time of arrival it was hard to find the entrance and added background noise while having breakfast. The home-made strawberry jam that was spread on the pancake placed on our table added the little extra sweetness to our stay. It was SO good! The food was perfect and the whole wheat toast is a must try. About a 10 minute walk to the Centennial Park which helped settle our delicious food with a great view to start the afternoon. read more

What a great place for breakfast. Small and cute. We went on Friday morning so there wasn't a big crowd and we were seated right away. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. My wife had Crab Benedict and raved about it. I had the Very Berry French Toast. By far the best French Toast I have ever had. We will definitely be back many times. Unfortunate wasted potential. Last minute brunch on a Friday for three. As found in other reviews: 1. long (30+) wait...again, only Friday 2. wait staff was inattentive (skipped over to order, refills, requests, mult. servers etc. ) - Edgar was nice however. 3. Food (sausage scramble) - mediocre at best - runny scramble and wilted greens - small - low-grade toast, and hashbrowns from the box. Food at other tables was also nothing to write home about. 4. Space was cramped (5 tables in, 5 tables out) - really needed a cleaning and a facelift. Really wanted to like this place...was on the bucket list...hope this experience was a fluke. Cons: parking and size of restaurant. It seems like there's a constant flow of traffic. The space is pretty tight, our chairs were up against the glasses mirrors and near the front door. Took my mom to Coronado for her birthday back in September and we stopped here on the way out. The restaurant is very small and attached to a small hotel. The parking lot can only accommodate about 7 cars and parking on the street is hard to find. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but they had soo many flies outside we had to move inside. The waitress and waiter were very friendly. I ordered the cinnamon apple French toast and added a scoop of vanilla ice cream (def recommend). I know it was made fresh because I found a piece of the apple sticker on my apple while eating. They were very nice about it and offered to re-make the item/ take it off my bill. Are you kidding me?!?! That was one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. They had no sense of seating or the concept of a list (they kept letting people cut to the top of the list). They were shouting and swearing right next to the table. We had a party of five (supposedly next to he seated), we were sat squished in a corner while a party of three were sat outside at a table for six. This is a cute spot with delicious food! They have a nice small shaded patio with a few kids toys (much appreciated!). The bathrooms are clean and shared with the adjoining hotel. Waited a long time to get a seat. Heard it's worth the wait. My table is ready and I'm about to be seated. A guy came off the street, walked up to a man seated at a 2 person table, called over the hostess and asked for our table of four, and she gave it to him. She allowed him to act as if he owned the place. His request totally displaced every table after. We waited another 10-15 min, due to letting the patron disrupt the seating. She then seated other people that were behind us, then put us at a table of 6, and put the people behind us (5) at a table of 4. I asked her why she allowed that, and she said "what could I do?" I asked her to move him back. She did not. Food was great. So, I guess if you want a seat, just demand one! read more

We ordered waffles, lemon poppy seed pancakes, fruit bowl and Artichoke Joe's and overall just meh. The Lemon poppy seed pancakes were not in fact lemon poppyseed. They were pancakes with poppy seeds and a orange lemon sauce drizzled on the top. I was not impressed. 2 of the 6 pancakes were slightly burnt on the side they flipped down (I could smell the burn when I flipped it over) The waffle was ok although it was not burnt it was a little to brown, but edible with enough hommade preserve that was on the table. The fruit bowl was a nice assortment and all was fresh. The Artichoke Joe's was very bland. The hash browns that came with it were delicious, very crispy and buttery. The toast that came with it was also good with the hommade preserve that was on the table. The service was friendly, but when we asked for our check we had to ask three times. read more

Was told it was an hour wait and ended up waiting 1 hour 40 minutes. They told us several times we were next to be seated and sat people ahead of us. When we finally got a table they said it was a limited menu and what they have posted is wrong and they're only serving maybe 8 weird specialty items. I asked if I could have just a regular omelette like on their normal menu and they said no only the things on their specialty menu. They didn't give us any silverware and then when we finally got our food my bread was missing and they said it was cooking still (?) and didn't bring it out until our meal was over. The busser also dropped the dirty silverware in my boyfriends lap as he was clearing the table. All this for an average small cafe on the street? Definitely not worth going! read more
