Today I had an extremely stressful day. My son got a flat tire alone and was on the side of the freeway in a car that was new to him (to all of us). I went to him a little excited to teach him how to change a tire. We popped off the 'hubcap' and realized the wheels all had lug locks on them and after scouring the car, more times than I care to admit, no key to be found. We were forced to tow the car. And, since we couldn't find ANYONE who sold or had the right one, we towed it to VW Dublin with a vague hope y'all could save us. I called first, and thank the gods, you were open until 6pm. Matt said he had some master keys and could help me. With no preconceived expectations, we rushed over (it was 5pm). We arrived at about 5:50pm!! Just made it and was stressed and feeling anxiety as I explained to my situation to Matt and two other guys (please forgive me guys... I'm blaming the anxiety. PLease ask Matt their names). They were SO kind and patient. They were kind enough to use their OWN tools to remove ALL the lug locks (it's a 2008... what am I protecting) and replaced them with traditional lugs so make it possible for me to have the tire changed and get my son and his care home THAT night!! They could have given me a vague apology and made me come back the next day, but they didn't!! They took pity on a worried mom and got us home! THANK YOU! read more

Worst dealership to work with. Unprofessional sales people and sale managers. They sold me a car that was CPO. 2 days after buying it, I brought it back due to shaky breaks. I had to take a day off and rent a car so they can inspect. When I got the car back, same issue. I told them the rotors needed to be replaced due to them being warped. I left numerous voicemails for my sales person Gabrial and sales manager Sean, all got ignored. I even took it to another shop to inspect the issue and they validated my concerns. Still no call back or resolution from the dealership. In the process of getting my attorney involved to get this issues resolved. If you are looking for a VW, DO NOT GO HERE. I felt like if you don't look like you have money, they won't help you. Recently crashed a car, at 4 car dealerships the day before, and was just exhausted. Instead of 3 people fighting for my business, they all ran away. Was it how I looked? Was it lunchtime? Was the store about to close? I don't know. I had to help myself. or I thought I could. but the car doors were locked on the one I wanted. I needed to find someone to help, anyone. I went back to my car. Someone came out when I was back in my car and closed my door. I opened my car door back up when I saw this..because finally..some help! The salesperson with a cheap tie ran back inside. If I could give this dealership zero stars I would. I bought a Jetta from Dublin Volkswagen in the middle of January 2024. Joelle was our dealer and at first I was extremely impressed. They did some minor repairs to the paint on the bumper, sealed a chip in the windshield, and worked with us to get the interest rate and payments we wanted. Then it started going downhill. 1. After signing all the finance paperwork with Tamin, we were called back in to fill out some more paperwork that he forgot. 2. I traded in my mustang to purchase the Jetta. 3 weeks later, I'm receiving threats from the loan agency that my payment was late and about to be put into collection. I was confused as I no longer owned the car. I contacted Joelle and she informed me that she didn't know what was happening as they had already sold the car. Magically the next week I received notification that the account had been closed. 3. Four weeks after purchasing the Jetta, I still hadn't received my registration. They didn't give me temporary tags, so the license plate looked like it hadn't been registered since 2021. All I had was sticker on the front windshield saying the car is legal. Fast forward to 4 months later and still no registration. We were told that they "forgot to send in the payment". Then it was "they had to physically turn in the payment to the dmv". Then it was "it was taken care of, you should receive it middle of March". Then Emily the registration expert there said she thought it was taken care of and would get back to us. She didn't. 4. I finally got in touch with Volkswagen customer care and spoke with a lovely lady named Stephanie who was told after a week of trying to contact Dublin that it was returned to them from the DMV because there was another payment needed. Now it will be another 4-8 weeks before my registration should get here and I can no longer work because I rely on my car for that. I travel a lot. So this little sticker that I paid for when I bought the car, that I haven't received is now ruining my livelihood. And because they are an independent dealership all they get is a slap on the wrist in the form of a formal complaint. Do better Volkswagen! read more

The star rating I've provided has no bearing on the folks involved...rather what it left me feeling mostly money wise about this business which I explain below (++ for the good and -- to indicate the bad) : ++pleasant and responsive staff to work with --did not get delivery of the car for close to a month during which time it depreciated in value and also the Labor Day wknd arrived which meant lost opportunity for me to find another car. I felt stuck with this car since the paperwork involved took all my info including social ... so I was afraid whether my score would be dinged if I backed out. I did ask for reduction in price but didn't get any. I roughly estimate this to be upwards of 2K. --the initial reason given to me was that the car is being detailed but days turned into weeks as the car stayed in shop for more unexpected work which had nothing to do with detailing. ++I was given a courtesy car during this period which was great and I very much appreciate this gesture. --was promised that reflector will be fixed and replaced...however I was just sent home with the part. the labor cost to switch out is $325 which i didn't know. ++they promised me touch up paint which i did receive in mail ! So Matt decided after I called his team out for discrimination towards a female car girl to not resolve the issue on service to my car that his punks had done to my gti. While I didn't end up getting an Atlas, I fell in love with the R-line Tiguan in the show room. This review is for the Service Department -- Please do NOT take your vehicle here for service. I don't often leave reviews, but have generally done so when a business has gone above and beyond and are deserving of praise. In this case, I felt it was necessary to leave (my first) negative review to warn potential customers to stay away. Obligatory "I'd leave 0 stars if I could". Story below: Red Flag #1 I needed to clean/flush the sunroof drains on my VW GTI. I called ahead and was provided a quote for that specific service, as I maintain my vehicle regularly. When I arrived I was told instead that a preliminary diagnosis was required before they could perform the desired services -- costing twice the initial quote. Worse, the additional cost would NOT be refunded if everything else checked out. After some back & forth, the service manager was willing to skip over the formalities of the preliminary diagnosis this one time only as a courtesy. Red Flag #2 (Major) As I'm waiting for my vehicle, my service advisor indicated that I required additional maintenance. I'm thinking engine or cabin air filter replacement -- something minor. For context, the model year of my GTI was 2016 with less than 60K miles. To my surprise, I was told my vehicle required urgent "repairs" to address "major" water/oil leaks. A knee-jerk reaction of "replace everything" ensued -- including the thermostat, water pump, oil breather valve, and a cam tower reseal. The quote? $4300. Now we all know dealerships will try to extract additional services from customers, but this? This was outrageous. And that's not even the worst part. I declined and opted for a second opinion from another VW service department, just to discover that there are no leaks -- just typical sweat/perspiration behavior. Apparently the technicians at Dublin VW were quick to rush their diagnosis. So either the technicians are incompetent bc they don't know what they're doing, or they do and therefore being 100% untrustworthy -- probably both. So please, do NOT take your vehicle to Dublin VW for service. And if you must, please get a second opinion as Dublin VW will absolutely recommend unnecessary services just to make a quick buck. read more

If you call to schedule this test drive the employees from the chat agent to the sales team and all the way to the sales manager..... can't figure out if there are lift tickets or not . They are happy to collect your contact information and hound you. Just like dieselgate... Vw Dublin is happy to lie to you and give you a bait and switch! Buyers beware. Update- Contacted the sales manager again... just to be sure I wasn't contacting just one sales manager that was unaware. Multiple people have confirmed that they are unaware and are only interested in gathering email information or phone numbers. This is classic used car lot tactics. I did not have the best experience today at this dealership. I had seen a used car online and was interested. I drove from Hayward with my husband and newborn to look at the car in person. The salesperson was nice and professional. The car had damages that were not posted online. When asked if the damages can be fixed or the car be discounted, she said she would ask the manager. I asked if they had any other used car and she seemed to ignore my question and proceeded to show us new cars on the lot. After about an hour of checking out new cars we requested quotes on the cars we had interest in. My husband specifically asked to have a quote for the used car we drove over to see. She took down all the needed information for the quote and brought it to the finance manager. When she came back they didn't include the quote for the used car and only included information for the new cars. They did not include the discount that is offered online and that we asked about. They did not include the car we are preparing to trade in. This should be possible since I did it myself on their website. The finance manager then introduced himself and asked how things were looking. I asked about the used car we came to see and if the damages can be fixed or if the car can be discounted. He stated we can't discount the car and that he would have to look at the car and see if it was worth fixing. I'm not sure why he didn't walk outside and look at the damages and give me an answer. He then stated that's why it's better to buy a new car. If I wanted to buy a new car I could have went to the dealership in Hayward instead of wasting our time driving to Dublin during rush hour. If you plan on looking at used cars at this dealership I would not recommend it because they will only push you to get a brand new car. Hope this helps. read more

These scammers charged 160 just to identify the problem. I said ok. After the 160, they're recommending me changing some bulb lights for like $700 (it took me one hour and $14 to fix that) and after they change the bulblights they can tell me if that fixed the problem or it needs further investigation, with further money!! What?? I asked to look at a specific problem, and they did not even tackle it, instead just visibly looking at a couple of OTHER bulbs that were broken. So i just got robbed, didn't wanna call the cops, took the loss and got the hell out of there. These people think they can fool everybody. read more

Spoke to an online sales agent and after speaking, i was asked what time do i wanted to come by by. Mind you im about 45 mins away no traffic and unfortunately that day i came i hit traffic. Took me about 1hr or so. When i got there they told me there where no ID.4 available in stock, they were in transit. Now before any manager replies to my review saying it was noted on the site that its transit, it was not. Sales agent did not bother telling me they were in transit and wasted my time and gas. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY CAR HERE. I purchased 2015 Audi S4 with 39k miles on and and now at 49k miles it needs a new transmission. All of the services had been done at Audi. They sold me a VOLKSWAGEN powertrain warranty and now filing my claim, they are only covering half of my transmission. A $10k transmission. I was actually forced to buy the warranty and gap for $4500. Mike (old GM) would not put me into F&I unless I bought these two backend products. Honestly, it was my mistake to give the benefit of the doubt that I would cancel it a few months later, but now I see why he forced me to buy it. He knew the car had an existing issue. I spoke to the new general manager Oliver and the whole time he was condescending and indifferent to the whole situation. I am done dealing with this store. I have gone directly to the owner. This 5 star rating is earned for Joelle in Direct Sales. I was on a hunt for a used iD4 and found a beautiful low mileage one at Dublin Volkswagen. We drove almost a hundred miles to look at and test drive. Coming from a Mercedes EQE, I was struck by so much sensory overload that it was difficult for me accept the difference from an 80k car to a 30k car. Needless to say if you could get a Mercedes for the price of a VW I guess we might all be driving a Mercedes. That said, this was a very fine vehicle, but I didn't have the capacity to make too quick of a purchase I might soon regret. The evening before, I was all over the iD4, and pretty much decided to move on it before even seeing it, so I let Joelle know I was so interested that I wanted her to charge it and do the paperwork before arrival. It was a holiday weekend and we anticipated that traffic would be rough returning home. I think we were both disappointed that I wasn't willing to follow through, but that didn't stop Joelle from being gracious and professional in the full sense of the word. I made a trip on a whim out to Dublin VW after working with Dirito Brothers in Walnut Creek. Although the showroom is smaller, there were ton of cars in the actual lot. Overall, I had a much better sales experience because of Rayyn, than I did in WC. He really knew the inventory and spent time showing me cars that matched what I wanted, not overselling me - which, as a single mom, my budget was super important, and he made me feel comfortable right away. Rayyn was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I had my 5-year-old in tow, along with a bulky carseat to put in and out of test drives and he didn't seem annoyed at all. He even saw that my kiddo was getting a little impatient & he got him a snack. Rayyn, along with the finance manager, Tim (I might be spelling that wrong - sorry! It sounds like fancy Tim & he likes tequila, lol), helped seal the deal on the single car I fell in love with.
