Truffle Hash Browns
Rachel M.

There was a steady flow of customers. However, it wasn't busy like the long lines when there was only a downtown location years ago. I enjoyed the Truffle Hash Browns (4 stars). Its savory flavor tasted more indulgent than typical hash browns. It was a good single portion. The Slut (2 stars) was way too salty that it distracted from the nicely cooked coddled egg. I preferred a better quality crusty baguette. I should have ordered a sandwich instead like the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese, which I previously liked at Grand Central Market location. The service was 3 stars. The Slut took longer to prepare that they gave me the Truffle Hash Browns first. The indoor seating was comfortable for a solo diner like myself. A lot of orders appeared to be takeout. This was my second time trying Eggslut, and I would not rush to return.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the sandwich. We did the bacon, egg and cheese, with scrambled eggs instead of over medium. The Brioche was perfectly buttered, complemented the eggs well. Service was quick and the space itself was clean, with plenty of seating. They had spanish music playing and I was here for the lively music to wake my soul up. A perfect morning stop.

Just NO. Nothing exciting about it and an overhyped establishment. Bland food and service. It was a chore to finish my food as it was so dang bland! I have wanted to really like Eggslut and on this particular day I got the taste for a delicious egg sandwich.. I originally tried the chain in Vegas circa 2019 or so and I remember being thoroughly unimpressed and it has taken me this long to give them another chance. Got the rare taste for the egg sandwich and thought, let me try again. Well, never again. Very popular, slow to prepare the order as there were only two people ahead of me (it took 24 minutes), and none of it had any distinct flavor. The bun was very soft, but I was surprised that even the chipotle mayo didn't do it justice. Got the Fairfax with an added chicken sausage (the green thing you see in my photo). Service was stale, but lighting inside is nice.

Bright with plenty of seating.

I stopped by for a quick bite for breakfast. Located afoot the Beverly Center, I was pleased with the street access. Upon entering you'll be taking by the music or noise level, especially not expected. I happened to enjoy it. The menu offered several egg dishes. I chose the Fairfax sandwich and tater tots. Not much of a coffee selection. The sandwich came hot and the eggs seasoned with a hint sriracha was perfect. The taters were nice and crispy. Overall may be a bit pricey for some ($25 total). But sometimes, quality comes at a higher price. I would totally eat here again and recommend it.

Bacon, Egg & Cheese

Came here for a quick breakfast and it was above average. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was tasty. Loved the crunchy bacon and the nicely cooked egg. The egg yolk wasn't too messy which I liked. The buns were buttery and soft, but I wish there was less breadiness. The truffle hash browns were crunchy and tasty. Would've liked them even more if there was a stronger truffle flavor. Price-wise, this was pretty expensive for what you get since the ingredients and preparation weren't anything special in my opinion. Overall, a decent option for a convenient breakfast if you're in the Cedar-Sinai/Beverly Connection area.

I came in to grab a quick lunch, and everything went pretty smoothly! There weren't too many people in line, so we were able to order pretty quickly and the food also came out pretty quickly as well. The drinks are mostly pre-made so after ordering your drinks you'll get them right away, but the food takes a little more time to prepare. I ordered the fairfax sandwich and it was yummy! The sandwich was nice and warm and the eggs were very fluffy. I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce as well, and the bread was nice and soft. Overall, a pretty good quick lunch spot! For parking, I parked at the Beverly Connections building and walked over, but I'm not sure if there's another parking structure/parking lot that is more convenient.

Overall: a decent quick breakfast, fast and clean Food: 4/5 Double cheeseburger was decent. Caramelized onion gave a hint of sweetness. Good acidity for pickles. Felt like the beef patty didn't taste super fresh. Some pieces had a slight off putting after taste. Service: 4/5 fast and polite Ambiance: 4/5 Loud pop music, standard decor, though was cleaned in a timely fashion. Ample napkins!

The egg salad sandwich is to DIE for it was genuinely so drool worthy! The bacon was perfectly crispy and the egg salad was so so yummy

Sausage, Egg & Cheese

Guys why is there so much hype about Eggslut? I've been to the Venice location and now Beverly Grove and both have been lackluster. I ordered the Sausage Egg and Cheese and the only way I can describe it is very bland. I don't know what they're lacking exactly - salt, spice... it's just blah. And the bun feels and tastes so greasy. Furthermore, I took my first bite and the egg yolk quite literally exploded onto my shirt and all over my hand. It was overall not a great time or meal. The location is conveniently located near Cedars Sinai, but I would genuinely choose the hospital food options over this for both value and taste. They have indoor bar style seating and some outdoor seating as well. Seems like most people grab food here and go next door for coffee. Bathroom available. Servers were friendly. Something's gotta change though with this chain.

fairfax w/bacon & a side of heavy metal! LOL

LOVE their egg sandwiches! We've eaten at the grand central market in DTLA, this location is much less busy, more low key, but still had solid food & service, quicker service without the crowd, but also a whole lot lower energy vs the bustling DTLA location. I always get the fairfax with bacon for creamy eggs contrasted with crunchy bacon as my go to. Wife & daughter had sandwiches as well. Execution is conistent with DTLA. Also loved the heavy metal blaring at this location! Super unique & appreciated that they'd have something different playing other than indie coffee shop music. They don't get 5 stars because they're a little on the pricey side, but a great splurge once in a while.

Great egg sandwich. The potatos are a bit on the oily side. Good for a quick bite, but a bit expensive.

I do want to start by saying the service was great. Everyone was welcoming, and my order came out quickly. I ordered the Di Parma, and to me it was just bland. The prosciutto was salty, as expected, but everything else, including the bread, lacked flavor. I kept eating, hoping it would get better, but it never did. The sandwich just felt underwhelming from start to finish. I know a lot of people love the bread, but I didn't find it to be anything special. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially for a sandwich that's around $30. At that price, I expected much more flavor and a more memorable experience.

The restaurant is billed as French-Vietnamese and previously offered pho and related fare but did not have these options on our visit. Our family came on a Saturday evening after an afternoon in the mall. I got the Ahi Tuna burger ($18), a substantial slab of Ahi Tuna steak on a bun with a wasabi mayo and paired with perfectly crispy, well salted frites ($5). We also got the French lobster roll ($26) a decent, but not groundbreaking, sandwich with a spicy sauce. One of our children got the tomato soup ($10) which was phenomenal - creamy and tomatoey - and paired well with grilled cheese. The cafe was clean and positioned with a great view; service was good too, with the waitress making suggestions and accommodating our children's special requests. Prices, as listed above, were excellent for the quality and quantity of food provided in an otherwise quite expensive area. More Parisien then Indochine, Nicholas deserves the unusually high rating it commands for the area. And nobody and I mean Nobody is going to stop me! Yeah, that was me and my mindset when I was out at the Beverly Center back in August. Hey! It was lunch. I was hungry. & Nicolas Eatery was there to handle all my needs. And just like Napoleon Bonaparte would have done... I strolled in, I walked straight to the bar top, sat down, placed my napkin in my lap, ordered a burger, a side of fries and of course L.A's FINEST tap water. FOOD Bubble Waffle with Pistachio Gelato (5.5/5): Omg! I didn't know they have egg waffle here as well. It's a classic Hong Kong street food that I grew up with, you don't really see it around. The egg waffle is tasty, it doesn't taste bland and not overly seasoned (it has the egg custard-y taste, not too sweet), and it has a light crisp outside. I had a gelato to pair with it. The pistachio flavor is yummy, it has chopped pistachio nuts inside so the texture is rich. If you have a sweet tooth, pair it with a scoop of gelato, they compliment each other well. *finish the gelato first so it doesn't make the egg waffle loose it's crisp Pastrami Brisket Sandwich (5/5): They recommended me the Pastrami Brisket Sandwich and the prosciutto one, I haven't had lunch so I went with the pastrami- it was good. The bread is pretty soft and it's decently portioned, you could share the sandwich. It's a simple sandwich that's healthy and flavourful, you don't feel heavy after eating it. I like that it's not messy to eat (not overly saucey)! They hold the fillings with the little wooden sticks. AMBIENCE Sitting is spacious and clean, it's at the corner of the mall so it's not too crowded. There is enough space to put your shopping bags if you're trying to grab a quick bite around. Service is quite decent, the staff recommended the right stuff. It didn't take a long time for the food to be ready, good for grab and go. OVERALL I think it's a casual spot that serves healthy quick bites, it's a good option to sit down after or in between a shopping spree. It's not loud so you could definitely hold conversations here.

It doesn't matter if you're working at a small coffee shop inside the Beverly Hills mall or at Tiffany & Co...people want to feel welcomed. She's young and seems like she has a lot of potential, but she comes across as unfriendly and uninterested. A simple smile, greeting, or even a warmer attitude would completely change the experience.
