I've been wanting to try one of the breakfast sandwiches for a long time. The line wasn't too deep and was able to walk away with my meal in about 10 minutes. I enjoyed the egg cheese and bacon on brioche sandwich but I think it was a little dry. Buttering the bun and heating it on a flat top might have added what it was lacking. The chipotle ketchup just kinda tasted like regular ketchup but I'm glad it was there to add moisture. Really solid sandwich. I got the Fairfax added bacon, absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality in all the different layers to this sandwich. The soft scrambled eggs with the cheddar cheese are divine, the Fairfax comes with caramelized onions which add such depth to the flavor, and to tie it all together the Sriracha Mayo. This was my first time ever trying egg slut and don't really see what's special about this place. We were the only customers who ordered and it took soooo long to finally receive our order. Probably waited about 25 minutes and there were no people ahead of us. The only thing I recommend is the slut. It is this mashed potato purée I thought it was delicious and ate the whole jar! Still love this cool little egg spot. Ordered a "Slut" to-go and to my surprise, they were still serving them so I was really happy. As far as what to expect now with COVID and ordering; there is no seating offered anymore. There's a line that runs inside and out and there's only a few people allowed inside at once. The separate floor stickers for spacing will show you where to stand. You order, wait outside and they call your name on the intercom/loud speaker. There's no Apple Pay by the way. I'm sure plenty other people posted about what to expect now, so sorry if it's overkill. I have a few updated photos from this to-go order which are the "slut" & "salad" photos. The salad was really good and basic but exactly what I needed. Arugula, oil and cheese that's all, very good though. The "slut" which I always hate saying lol, was delicious and tasty as always and the potatoes were nice and silky. Got a random craving for some junk food but with a bit of a healthy twist and so I think this combo was perfect. The staff was nice as always and were on a roll cooking all those bacon strips, and adding them to that large bacon pile they have on the grill. I always love watching them cook! Talk about an exhaustive experience that could have been avoided! TLDR: 1. Food took 30 minutes. 2. Host said "We'll tell you when your food is ready." 3. Server said "Delay was because the 'slut' dish was taking a while," but a guest who came after me got their dish first before me. 4. Food is fine, but missing texture and buns become soggy. Long-form: We came on a Saturday for a "quick" lunch. We ordered the "slut" dish and the "Sausage, egg, and cheese" sandwich," thinking we'd be in and out of the eatery under 30 minutes. We. Were. Wrong. We ordered at 1:08PM and received our food at 1:37PM, 29 minutes later (photos attached). During this time, I walked up twice to find out about the status of our food, considering they have a machine line-like operation right in front of you in the open kitchen. They also have a lot of backlog with the dishes that were already prepared (photo attached). The first time I asked, I was rudely told by a hostess, "We'll tell YOU when your food is ready," not answering my question at all. The second time I asked, I was told that they were waiting for the more time-consuming "slut" dish.... HOWEVER, the guest who ordered AFTER me received a "slut" plate before me. I think they messed up and didn't want to accept responsibility. So there we are, 30 minutes later and finally getting our food. Needless to say, we were not pleased. My sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was fine, but nothing really stood out to me about it. Additionally, the bun became extremely soggy about 2 minutes into my consuming it. Overall, the food was obviously cooked fresh and is tasty, but I took 2 stars off for poor customer service and 1 for the high prices of each dish. I do believe there should be a side included or more bang for your buck. If you're an egg fanatic, then "Eggslut" is definitely a place worth checking out. This is a staple breakfast spot of Los Angeles and locals flock to one of their many popular establishments located throughout the Southern California area. This particular restaurant is conveniently located outside of the Beverly Center and on the corner of San Vincente Blvd. and W. 3rd St. The best advice is to park at the Beverly Center while it is just a short walk to the restaurant. I came here with my lovely lady at around 11:30am on a Friday morning and sure enough, there was a long line of about 7 customers in front of us. However, the line moved rather quickly and we were ready to order in under 10 minutes. The menu itself is simple yet effective. They offer six variations of their egg sandwiches as well as a popular item simply called the "Slut". This consists of a coddled poached egg on potato puree with salt & chives and baguette slices on the side. However, I ended up going with their "Bacon, Egg, & Cheese" sandwich. This included their hardwood smoked bacon a cage-free egg, cheddar cheese, and chipotle ketchup over a brioche bun. My lady went with one of the most popular sandwiches on the menu, the "Fairfax". This consisted of soft-scrambled eggs with chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and sriracha mayo in a soft brioche bun. Both sandwiches were priced at a reasonable $7.00 (as of October 2018). Do keep in mind that seating here is rather limited but we were able to find two stools directly in front of their area where the chefs prepare the sandwiches. It gave us an idea just how rapidly they were dishing out one sandwich at a time. Our sandwiches were brought out to us in roughly five minutes. As far as the presentation, everything looked amazing. Bright-colored eggs and cheese oozing out made this great for photos. But how was the taste? I do have to say that it was decent; definitely above average. The soft brioche bun helped hold everything together. I do have to say that they wrap this in a small paper sleeve because it can (and will) get very messy. Her sandwich also was on point but again, prepare for a messy experience as the eggs are runny to a point where you may need to scoop up extra egg bits with your fingers. The freshly squeeze orange juice was amazing as this was as fresh as it gets. Overall, "Eggslut" is a place I would definitely worth checking out if you're in the LA area. They do have limited hours of operation with most locations only being opened from 8am-4pm seven days a week. With that said and done, we definitely came hungry and left happy. I've never even come close to eating at the Eggslut downtown because there's always a daunting long line. This one luckily opened up near my apartment I came here on a Sunday morning around 10am and there was no line. I got to order right away and there were plenty of tables. I got the Fairfax sandwich. Note, I didn't have that much of an expectation coming here because I thought it was just super hyped up. My first bite into this sandwich, I fell instantly in love. It was delicious! I don't know how they make the egg in this sandwich but I really want the recipe. Order it and taste for yourself! You won't regret it. The bun was the perfect combination for this sandwich because it was light and provided the right amount of base to the incredibly tasty egg. I was pretty excited to see this open up, and from my previous experience at the dtla market location I was doubly excited to order their vege hot breakfast sandwich. I didn't remember the exact name, but I saw the only vegetarian sandwich was an egg salad one. There wasn't much of a wait during a weekday lunch, and the cashier didn't try to be friendly. He just took my order and my sandwich was ready very quickly. There are some teeny water cups available as well. My egg salad sandwich was just that...standard egg salad with some arugula between buns. I was underwhelmed and sad that I didn't see my previous selection on the menu here. That being said, they still have their famous "slut" baked egg for 9 dollars which was good when I tried it previously. Their hot sandwiches can have bacon or sausage. Someone at work today brought in take out from this location and asked for it without the meat sub avocado (I should have done that before but it wasn't the same still). This time I noticed it was extremely greasy but had basically scrambled egg & green onion, onions, a pink sauce, and avocado between the buns. It was good but very heavy on the stomach. If you're looking for some delicious promiscuously cooked eggs, you can't go to any place other than Eggslut. First popularized by their location at the Grand Central Market in Downtown LA, Eggslut has gained a huge following. I must admit after committing to the initial wait at the Grand Central Market location, I wasn't impressed enough to return again. However, with a new lesser known location that is mere walking distance from Cedars-Sinai, I can grab a bite at Eggslut during the weekdays and barely wait. My go-to order is the Fairfax with an added sausage patty. The Fairfax sandwich comes with gooey scrambled eggs with chives & caramelized onions topped a slice of melted cheddar cheese in a brioche bun. I also would recommend asking for sriracha or sriracha mayo on the side to eat with the sandwich just so you have that extra kick. A lot of people hate on the sausage patties here because it doesn't taste like your typical overly processed pumped with sodium sausage patty, so they don't like it. I think the sausage patties here add the meatiness you look for in a breakfast sandwich, but without the high sodium content. I don't know what the crowd is like on the weekends, but for weekdays, I think Eggslut is such a great choice for breakfast or lunch. read more

So it's finally arrived in BH. Been wanting to go to the one in GCM or Venice but the line was always too horrendous. After navigating my way through the labyrinth that is Beverly Center (horrible directions with all the construction going on), we finally found Eggslut. Noms. Comes with a fork cuz the ooey gooey egg will squeeze out of the sandwich. I felt that the mayo was a bit overpowering because I think the taste of the egg was good without it. That said, the flavor pairs with the onions and salt of the cheese was really good and the bun was oh so fluffy. Almost like a fresh donut from Krispy Kreme. The Slut was a poached egg over a bed of mashed potatoes with three slices of toasted baguette. So an interesting combo but it makes sense since some people eat eggs with their hash browns. I felt the ratio of egg to mash potatoes was off. It should've been more egg to less potato. Overall though, the dish was just as rich and the potatoes were very buttery. The texture difference with the baguette was a good contrast but I would choose the Fairfax over the Slut. For that amount of time we waited, it was worth it. Waiting even longer could put my decision on the bubble but I think it is worth coming back over and over again for that guilty pleasure of eating all that richness. read more

There are a couple of bar stools along the glass wall that faces the street and there are a few tables nestled in the back next to their fancy EggSlut neon sign. I came early for breakfast and ordered the bacon and cheese sandwich $7 with a side coffee $3. They give you your coffee once you order at the counter and then they have a mini coffee station to add as much milk, sugar as your heart desires. The menu is not that big. Basically they have a couple of breakfast sandwiches with either bacon, sausage, veggie option and one burger. If you dine in they call out your name and you go and pick up your food. My sandwich was a pretty good size and it was actually pretty filling. The bun was nice and fluffy and the egg was nice and runny and cooked perfectly. If you want some hot sauce to go with you sandwich you have to ask for it since I didn't see any condiments just sitting out. I asked for some hot sauce and they gave me a small helping of good old siracha sauce which was more than enough for my sandwich. I was at the Beverly Hills mall to check out the huge UNIQLO, and boy was I hungry after shopping! Eggslut was conveniently close, and I had seen this restaurant featured on one of the many cooking shows I watch. I ended up getting the Slut, which I thought might be a little small to start with. How wrong I was! While the container is indeed small, the flavor punch inside this little container was huge! The mashed potatoes inside were smooth, and the poached egg was just perfectly done. I don't really understand the hype of eggslut. The bread was dry, the bacon was over fried, but at least the egg was good, with the yolk still runny. Overall the whole breakfast bun was just really dry. I also didn't really like "The slut" which was eggs and purée in a jar with 2 hard pieces of toast.
