Went in today for my first time to pick up a bagels for my students. Dylan greeted us as we walked in. He was great helping me decided the selections for my high school class. Appreciate his suggestion to have them cut in half. Picked up our shmears and headed over to the cashier, paid for the dozen and a half bagels. The cashier said she will take care of the shmears for us while Dylan cut the bagels. We got our box and bag of bagels, because this being my first time , I didn't know the shmear was suppose to go on top of the box. This Einstein bagel shop consistently messes up my order. I've gone here 3 times now and each time something was wrong. This is a favorite bagel shop for me-they are consistent and organized. The coffee is good. They offer a medium roast dark roast and a hazel nut vanilla. But today it seemed that the medium roast tasted like hazelnut vanilla-ha ha I think they were switched. There was a holiday cinnamon flavored coffee at Mixed well with the dark roast. I recommend it! Bagels are a decent size and they give you a good amount of cream cheese. My favorite is a double toasted everything bagel and they always get it right! read more

I purchased a simple regular bagel w/cream cheese & a Simply Orange Juice. My fiancé and I live 2 minutes from this location and have been here 3 time because it's so convenient. Victoria was the one who helped us last and her service was horrible (I believe her name tag also said shift leader). She spoke to us very condescendingly as if we were inconveniencing her somehow. The only 2 people I've seen who actually act like they want to be there is 1 white guy who was very accommodating with answering any questions, and an African American girl who was the only one in the staff with a smile on her face. I could tell she actually enjoyed her job. I have never once been happy with my service or order any of the times I've been here. They rush you to order so they can go onto the next person. They also seem to ALWAYS be running low on the bagels we want. The just slap the items in your bagel without caring to spread the cream cheese evenly. I'm not much of a picky person, but come on.. these people need to step it up. I'd come here all the time if only the staff could act like they liked their job at least a little bit and they put some love into the food they're serving! read more

The bagels that Einstein Bros makes are actually pretty good. It's the service and order execution that gets me. I decided to drive a bit further to try this recently opened EBB location, as our usual EBB off of Bellflower has disappointed me time and time again. Stopped by last Monday and ordered an onion bagel, lightly toasted with reduced fat jalapeno salsa cream cheese. Go into my car, took a bite and discovered there was sundried tomato cream cheese and not what I ordered. Turned off my car and walked back inside. The woman at the counter who appeared to be a manager recognized me and looked exasperated as she asked "did you need something else?". I told her the bagel wasn't what I had ordered and she proceeded to open up the bagel to scrutinize the cream cheese. It appeared that she didn't believe me. When she decided I was telling the truth, she chucked the bagel into the trash with force as if she was making a touchdown. It was obvious she wasn't happy. *Sigh* My hopes for improved service at this location were dashed. Terrible second time going here. Man I freaking love Einstein bagels and this is the second time they've done me like this. I've ordered a farmhouse twice before and both times (maybe even three) I've gotten this. Man the freaking chef is one thing but the cashier was a dick. Chef, should he even be called that? I had an hour of sleep how the hell did I catch this and not your staff? Fuck this place. How do I even know my fucking food is prepared right? Is this safe to eat? FYI Check your food- they legit do not care (damn well seems like it). They just opened the Einstein Bros Bagel Co tradition.... they are already doing a wonderful job! The staff is so excited, energetic and friendly...makes up for any inexperience that they may be dealing with these first few days. I had a latte and a spinach, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Came out quick, hot and delicious. It is much smaller than the operation down the street on Bellflower Blvd, however it is comfortable and well designed.... even with a hotspot hook-up counter for those wanting to plug in their computers. I think that the parking may get a bit congested as this place gets more popular. Great job Einstein!! You are a genius. read more

Stopped by around 10 for an easy brunch this last Thursday morning! Food: I usually go for a thin-cut with smoked salmon and avocado, but I absolutely had to have the apple cinnamon this time. Kept it simple with plain butter- Was not disappointed! A soft, chewy inside with just a touch of crunchiness on the outside, all followed by the naturally sweet flavors melting in your mouth. No matter what bagel you order, it is always steaming hot! Cleanliness: All of the store is incredibly well-kept and accounted for. Bagels are practically see-through from the outside(very clean windows!), and the tables are spotless every time I visit. Kitchen area behind the counter is also never backed up. Customer Service: Employees are all quite friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait more than ten minutes, and the to-go bags are always perfectly sealed for freshness. Can also answer any question one might have about the menu. Atmosphere: I would definitely describe this place as welcoming. You are always greeted right when you walk in, and the store temperature has a bit of that "bakery-warmth" to it. A great spot to visit on a cold morning! Last time I was here the orders were being taken at one register. So that's where I went. The guy saw me standing at the counter. I waited. And waited. And waited. A lady walked up to the other counter and the guy walked over and helped her right away when he saw me standing at the other register. Why not say hey I can help you over here that side is closed? The medium toasted coffee containers were empty at the height of busy AM rush. Also, the employees were not wiping off the tables, as I and other customers had to wipe our tables off- no bueno. Also, there was dust and small food particles under all of the counters all around the restaurant. All you have to do is run a broom and mop under there at closing each night.
