I went here a few days ago, and I will say that the person behind the counter was probably one of the most friendly I had ever encountered there and the food was generally good, however, the issue(s) I had with the visit were... 1. The "creamy" cilantro dressing was colored water 2. They stated they no longer give out chopped cilantro with the salsa 3. They always seem to get annoyed when you ask for salsa different from what they want to give you. Let me decide what I want - or better still, put the salsa bar back like most other places have. read more

She has helped me more than a few times with the app issues. The food is fresh, and I've never had any issues. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for fast delicious food with a smile. I know El Pollo has good chicken. However there is a recurring trend of their restaurants not being kept up by the staff. Repeatedly When I visit an El Pollo Loco location, the dining rooms are never really clean with a lot of trash everywhere. I recently visited the El Pollo in Burbank. This is not the first time that I've noticed how dirty and trashy the facility is. It really influences my decision on if I want to eat at El Pollo Loco anymore. It just doesn't seem to be a priority that staff clean the dining area. The food was okay, I think that they're really pricey now for what you get on some of the menu items. And I didn't enjoy eating in the dining area because of how dirty it was. No one cleans the tables, no one picks up trash off of the floor and no one attends to the trash cans. People leave food sitting on tables and trash all over the place with trash and all over the floor, napkins, straw wrappers, even where they used to keep the salsa they seem to have put some sort of display that holds hiring now folders just dumped in there. It's as if the dining room isn't even a part of the establishment and the staff are eating their food in there themselves they could see . don't understand why no one cleans it. It just makes the whole restaurant look dirty and unkept. I'm surprised the health department allows it. I don't like to leave such a Negative one-star reviews and I rarely do however nothing is cleaned in that restaurant! And many of the locations look the same, why? read more

Really enjoyed visiting location! To me it's like a 'healthy-fied' version of Mexican food. I got the tostada salad while my husband got the chicken avocado burrito. We loved both! Their salsas are delicious and taste very unique suggest to add the chips to your order - I couldn't leave without they're churros! crispy and soft on the inside. May seem silly to review EPL, but this location specifically is SOOO much worse than the others. I live walking distance from here and usually go to the location on 1st because of that. Today solidified why. Last time I came, I bought a big family meal plus 2 quesadillas and was told I could only have 2 salsas. When I asked if I could buy a big one, they said no because they're just short on it and that's all they're giving away per management. This time I ordered two salads and a side of chips - via an online order for pickup and added the appropriate dressing and salsas. I used to eat at this location all the time when I worked in this area pre Covid and never had any issues. I'm back in the area periodically and can't believe the decline. Twice in the last few weeks we ordered Double Chicken Tostadas for our late lunches. Both times, the tiny chicken pieces were dry and almost hard as a rock. The cheese was omitted both times in our to go orders. The service was horrible both times as well! Four people working...two on their cell phones during both visits. The guy that finally helped us (in an almost empty restaurant) was unfriendly and exasperated that I did not have my phone to pre order. Everyone that was working looked miserable. 9 times out of 10 they miss something in my order, if it's not the dressing it's the side salad but mostly the dressing. The most frustrating thing is to get home and for your lunch or dinner to be incomplete. The staff is also not very friendly. I am curious about their process when they pack online orders. Now that they are selling their dressing I wonder do they do it on purpose when they do not pack the dressing. I hope management does something about this. read more

Everyone knows what to expect when eating at El Pollo Loco. Food wise, this location is just like any other Pollo Loco. The service is just so darn slow,here. Management needs to implement a better system, especially on the weekends . On my recent visit, I waited 30 minutes for my order and I was only three deep in-line. It's not like my order was over the top or anything. I just ordered their tamale meal. The employees seemed overwhelmed and the cashier was definitely getting flustered with bagging orders and ringing up customers . The workers were too busy with orders to even think about enforcing social distancing. Customers were just hanging around in a group waiting for their orders. The dining room was taped off, so we were all in a tight space. This location doesn't have a drive- thru, so no excuse for the delays . I can't really knock the employees, they were doing their best. I'm knocking management for putting them in this situation. read more

Not sure why they have a sign on the counter that says they will give you a free order of CHURROS if you write a positive review on Google or Yelp, but if they really care about a positive rating they should act like it. I came in tonight and made an order. When I asked the lady at the counter if they use flour or corn tortilla she snapped "Corn".
