We arrived at 5:30 pm to meet friends for dinner. Not a soul in the dining room, nor at the host counter. (there were a few people in the bar) When the hostess appears, we say there will be 4 of us. Her response is that she cannot seat us til all members of our party are present. Really???? We understand if they were busy, but we were the ONLY people for the dining room. She asks another employee and they say to seat us. So, she puts us at the table right next to the bathrooms. We refuse to take that table. When everyone arrives, we order. My order is a combo, pulled pork and chicken. Spouse orders a combo of ribs and chicken. When we get our food, it is overcooked. As in dry as a bone. Not one bit of moisture anywhere. Even the mashed potatoes are dry. When we finally see the server again, I tell him the food is overcooked and the chicken is inedible. He says he can't replace it with other chicken because I still won't like it. Does that mean that they overcook all the chicken, on a regular basis?? I was at the barbaquu cook off on Sat June 17th. They advetised free wings to the first 200 people. I was there from 12-1:30pm and no wings were served. I live in long beach. I can walk to Famous Dave's. I was at a local bar last night and talked with a patron who was also there on Saturday. He said no wings were served. He went to Hoooters next door for a beer to wait because beer at Daves are $10-$12. He told me he went back at 1:30 pm and no wings were served and the food out side was shut down, Well before 3pm. I would of gave 5 stars but I just can't! Here's why The food is soooooo delicious it did not disappoint. Literally 10/10. BUT Famous Dave's is expanding all over therefore why are there couches in the wait are? They took our name down and wrote it on a clip board, it's 2023 like can i get a text notification!! Then they are so understaffed it's ridiculous!! Our food came out on time so I was really glad I didn't have to wait long BUT we never got a refill on our drinks. Our server disappeared right after she took down our order. The Host was all over the place, getting waved down by customers trying to get refills, taking orders, sitting people, giving people their bills. Horrible! My husband and I felt so bad for him! No refill, no clearing table, we complained to the server Kasandra about the steak being over cooked and not chewable so the staff 'punished' us with not attending our table, not even to respond on the complaint. Everything about Famous Dave's in Long Beach is dreadful. First off the service, I placed an order for curbside pickup on 11/21/2023 at 12:04 pm with a pickup time at 12:27 for a relatively small order 3 items (still well over $50). I arrived around 12:30 expecting my order to be ready, so I called with no answer. I called 5 times with no answer whatsoever, all in all I was waiting in my car for about 15-20 minutes trying to get ahold of them. Finally I parked and headed inside, where to my surprise it was not busy at all. I walked up to the front and was waiting for 5-10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. Finally someone helped me and got my order and I wanted to let the manager know of the lack of service. The host went to go get the manager Terri. I waited another 5 ish minutes for the manger to slowly walk up and explain to me that they didn't hear the phones because they were busy... there were maybe 5 tables, she was just giving excuses. I decided to just move on and leave. When I got back and checked the food IT WAS ALL WRONG. Obviously it was cold as it had probably been sitting for upwards of 30 minutes but for it to be wrong is ridiculous. The sides were wrong, one of the entrees was wrong and the special instructions were wrong. I called back to explain the problem and asked to talk to the manager, and it was Terri again. I voiced my frustration to where she said that she would make this right and mail us something to make it right, which is why I am writing this review now. I gave Terri the benefit of doubt that she would do something to make things right... but it's been well over a month and nothing has been done or said. I am very disappointed in the management, especially Terri, and how things were handled. read more

We went to famous Dave's because we really like their food and we're looking forward to some good bbq. We sat in the bar area because they had a table that someone had just left from and that guy at the front told us they would clean it off just go ahead and sit down. There was no line and not too many people because it was almost 9 pm. We sat at the table in the corner and walked right by the server/bar tender when we went to our table. He was actually serving the table right next to ours. We waited for about 10/12 minutes and nobody ever came to clean the table or even let us know they knew we were there. We asked the guy at the front again to get someone to help us and clean off the table. Sat back down for about 10 minutes and nobody came. We had to go to the front and ask a 3rd time before the guy from the front came to clean the table. The bartender/server told us if we didn't like it we didn't have to eat there. Also the creeper bartender was looking at our screen and made a comment at what we were looking at . Violation of privacy . Then we asked to see the manger and it seemed like the lack of service or respect for a patron came from the top that night . Instead of doing some damage control , she also suggested leaving . We as Long Beach residents have came here for so many years it's a bit disappointing. I guess 69c wings are instead of service .
