Came here Sunday morning for brunch. Ordered the Chiquito breakfast tacos and a bottle of mimosa with orange juice. The tacos were tasty with a good amount of chorizo. The mimosa bottle $35. The staff was friendly and efficient. Food came out pretty quick even though it started getting busy. The place has a cool rustic look inside with plenty of seating. Prices are about what you'd expect around Melrose. Overall a good brunch spot. I'd come back and try some of the other breakfast items next time.

The croissant French toast was fresh and light! The biscuits and gravy were decent, needed a little more flavor but overall great. Service is okay, you order at the counter and they bring it out. Had to ask for plates 2 times and then eventually had to walk to the counter to get myself so that was a bit disappointing. Everything else is self serve... water and silverware. Outside is smaller picnic style tables. The parking is free in the lot!

So pleasantly surprised! It was so good I didn't remember to take a picture until I was halfway through eating I got green eggs and Ben with gluten free toast plus a honey latte. We also got buttermilk pancakes (absolutely delicious!) a Norwegian Benedict and a dirty chai latte. All of it so worth it! Service was quick and super friendly, it was quiet and not jam packed. Will definitely bookmark to come back again!

I really wanted to like this place, especially with the location being right in the heart of Melrose and all the hype around LA food spots, but unfortunately our experience was pretty underwhelming overall. I ordered the F Burger, and while it looked promising, it lacked the savory flavor and seasoning I was expecting. It honestly tasted like a very basic burger with little personality. The patty had juices, but not that rich, flavorful, satisfying beefiness you expect from a good burger. It also wasn't very juicy or memorable. It's smashed and it's probably why. My wife ordered the avocado chicken sandwich, and sadly the chicken was extremely dry. It just wasn't enjoyable to eat. The fries that came with our meals were lukewarm by the time they reached the table, which added to the disappointment. Service-wise, the food also took longer than expected considering how simple the order was. Maybe they want all our order to come out at the same time? I don't know. The Smoothie "Rooty Tooty" wasn't even refreshingly cold. We actually had to order some ice. We visited on Mother's Day, so I understand places can get busy, and parking on Melrose is always hit or miss, but we still left feeling pretty disappointed with the overall experience. I'm giving 3 stars because the place itself has potential and the staff was fine, but the food quality just didn't match the expectations or pricing. Hopefully management takes feedback seriously because with some improvements in flavor, consistency, and food temperature, this place could be much better. Unfortunately for us, this may end up being both our first and last visit.

Incredible Place to have breakfast! French toast with strawberries, blueberries! So delicious! With side of syrup . Great Service, polite , and very helpful. Enjoyed a delicious brunch here with my husband, who showed me this place. I like the casual atmosphere and cozy interior. Although we sat indoors, I noticed that there was a ton of outdoor seating available. Apparently this restaurant is super popular on weekends, so we were able to avoid any waiting by visiting on a weekday. There are very many beverage and food options on the menu, including all-day breakfast and lunch. This restaurant even offers full vegan and vegetarian substitutions as well as dairy-free and gluten-free options. Everything sounded delicious, but we ultimately ordered these 3 dishes: Crunchy Croissant French Toast: Very delicious and indulgent. A buttery croissant is used instead of a typical slice of bread, making the dish extra rich to eat. The bananas, strawberries, granola, powdered sugar, and white chocolate drizzle brought the entire thing together. I really liked the crispy outer layer and soft interior. Green Eggs & Ben: Served with a side of potatoes, this is a twist on the classic eggs benedict. The 2 soft-poached eggs were covered in a creamy hollandaise sauce. The runny egg yolks mixed very nicely with the english muffins, applewood-smoked bacon, and sautéed spinach. Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos: My least favorite of our 3 dishes, but still tasty. There were 3 tacos stuffed with fried shrimp, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and chipotle aioli. Because of the sauce, there was a small kick of spiciness. We had the option to pick fries or house saladon the side, in which we decided on the fries. The fries were nice and crispy.

Cute atmosphere, great food, quick service, and reasonable prices! I've been here twice and tried the Crunchy Croissant French Toast and the Chicken Club Wrap. * The croissant french toast had more of a softer french toast texture than a flaky croissant texture. I liked the fresh fruits and the crunchy granola as toppings. It was filling and a fun sweet breakfast. * The chicken club wrap was delicious and filling! It also comes with either fries or a salad on the side. The chicken was tender, the cheese was melty, and it didn't feel heavy for lunch. It tasted exactly like I expected it to. I would recommend this restaurant for an affordable and easygoing meal. There is street parking (easier to park in the neighborhoods) and indoor and outdoor seating.

Arrived on a Saturday at around 11 am. There was no wait and there was plenty of seating. We ordered the huevos rancheros, signature croissant French toast and the bacon hash. The huevos rancheros were pretty good! It didn't taste too greasy/heavy and had a nice balance of flavors. The bacon hash was mediocre. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it just tasted like bacon, eggs and veggies mixed together. There wasn't anything that stood out about that dish. Lastly, the signature croissant French toast was delightful! I thought it was an interesting concept and it tasted yummy! Kind of reminded me of pancakes. Would recommend ordering that if you have a sweeter palette. Service was excellent! You order with the cashier first and then they bring your food over to you. We received our food pretty quickly and the workers there were kind. Parking might be a bit difficult since it's on a busy street but we were able to find parking right next to the cafe. Not sure I'd come back since there are several other brunch spots to try but it's worth a try!

It's a very cute cafe, nice interior. It was so hard to choose what I wanted to eat but I got The Chicken croissantwich. My friend got the Smash Burger. I think my sandwich was good with the first bite however as I kept eating I realize that i wanted more flavor. I wish there was more chipotle sauce. The sweet potato fries were pretty good! Very crispy. For the smash burger, I was surprised to see that it didn't come with lettuce or tomato but peppers. For this restaurant, you would order at the front and they bring out your food to you. Very kind staff and good service. I would come again if I was in the LA area.

This was a cool spot I found. People were super friendly. The food was good! Cool covered outdoor patio to be enjoyed as well as seating inside. Cool look to the place. I'd definitely eat here again........ what you haven't??? You should give it a try!

Crunchy Signature Croissant French Toast

Of all the brunch style restaurants around LA, Fratelli is one of my go to spots. From their menu range to the high quality food, I was able to show my wife this amazing brunch spot. This spot is a "order then get seated type spot." Before arriving, I suggest getting on the Yelp waitlist if the restaurant is busy. Highly recommend this to avoid long wait times. Parking here is street parking only as they don't have a dedicated lot. There's plenty of street parking around but watch out for some metered parking. There's plenty of indoor seating but it's a bit cramped I'd say indoors, many prefer to sit outdoors as they have more outdoor seating than indoors. It's shaded which is nice to avoid the heat. Restaurant is pretty clean overall. However, there's only one restroom and it's pretty dirty in there, manageable but look out for that. As stated before, it's a order then get seated type restaurant. Water cups can be filled on the left indoors by yourself, so service aside from ordering is kind of nonexistent. Staff would still check up on you but they mostly are just doing work and wouldn't bother you and your food. Their menu is quite extensive but my wife and I ordered the Green Eggs & Ben, Crunchy Croissant French Toast, and the Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos. All 1-2 serving type dishes but we mostly enjoyed the dishes together. -- Green Eggs & Ben -- Pretty standard to your usual benedicts at any brunch spots. Not too salty and it was perfect to share. The eggs were cooked perfectly, poached and very soft. Highly recommend -- Crunchy Croissant French Toast -- Filled with bananas, strawberries, granola, and served with white chocolate drizzle, it was the perfect dish to conclude the meal. Surprisingly, it wasn't super sweet which was a good change. Portions are huge so this is a great dish to share. The various fruits is a nice touch to the French toast and certainly adds tons of flavor, love it as a whole. -- Crispy Fried Shrimp Tacos -- Came with 3 tacos and a side of fries. I'd say, the tacos are pretty basic, a food truck taco tastes better and is cheaper. The whole taco itself is a bit dry but still fairly delicious. The side of fries is a nice touch to the dish. Very similar to fish tacos. Overall, a wonderful brunch spot, always high quality food whenever I visited, love the standard brunch options and excited to expand on their menu the next time I visit.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch and it was very lively and packed here. It's located right on Melrose Avenue, meaning parking can be difficult. Love that this place is dog friendly and has patio seating. I got the Lobos BC smoothie and the taste was delicious, but it was not blended enough. There was too many thick pieces of ice and peanuts, and it made it too hard to drink through a straw. Honestly kind of upsetting because it's not too hard to make sure a smoothie is fully blended. My friend got a chicken sandwich and it was just okay. Nothing special, and the fries were pretty basic as well. The staff were all super friendly though. I might need to try something different off the menu next time.

Just had brunch here for the first time and loved it! The huevos rancheros were delicious as were the chilaquiles. Delicious flavors and each with totally different sauces. They made a yummy iced vanilla latte as well, and service was super fast. I also have to say that every person we encountered working there was incredibly friendly and nice, and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our meal and had everything we needed. I've been coming to Fratelli for about 2 months now. I'm usually here 2-3 times a week. I haven't been here on a weekend so I haven't experienced waiting in line for a table. The staff is very welcoming and super nice. They have a chill vibe here which I like. Food is awesome. I order the Sausage omelet every time I come here (it's been my favorite) but this time, I went for the Eggs Benedict which is exceptionally good!! I have another favorite now :) Cool place, friendly staff and great food! 5 ! read more

We have come to this restaurant before and it was delicious but our last visit was a real disappointment. I had eggs Benedict with bacon and spinach. The sauce was curdled and the egg was hard. One of us had waffles they were not crispy on the top they were soft and the other person had a Bacon and egg Tartine. It was a single fried egg on a piece of bread with a almost ripe tomato it was a complete rip off. It was a busy Sunday but it's a restaurant that knows what they're doing and that should not lower the quality of their food because if anything their food should be superb so that all these people want to come back. We will not be returning. read more

Great service. The three of us shared the Steak Hash, Green Beni, Croissant French Toast, and the Biscuit Beni. My fav was the Biscuit Beni because of the gravy and chicken combo. Should have trusted my friend when he told me this place wasn't good but via the photos that people take here I begged to differ. The coffee tasted really bad. They're probably using tap water to make it. I had no business ordering the huevos rancheros because this place isn't Mexican. They were not good! The salsa on them tasted like the Tostitos salsa you buy at the grocery store. The location is really cute! read more

This was a second time visiting from San Diego and The service and food was amazing. Visited for Easter Sunday and we beat the rush.!! We ordered croissant French toast with berries , chicken and waffle,and a burrito with a side potatoes. We will definitely return when we visit the Ucla campus. read more

Came for brunch on a Sunday at noon, the place was packed but luckily we were seated pretty quickly. That's pretty much the only highlight of our experience here. First of all, the service was mediocre. The waiter was obviously trying to hurry our dining experience along, which is understandable. We later found out towards the end of the meal that there were actually specials that sounded interesting. He mentioned them to the two tables on each side of us, but they were seated after we had already ordered. The person I was dining with ordered the Sweet & Savory. The menu says that it's a Belgian waffle with two eggs "your style" and turkey bacon. When we ordered it, he was not asked how he preferred the eggs and was simply served a fried well-done egg. The waffle is definitely /not/ a Belgian waffle, but it was still crisp and fluffy. The turkey bacon was also slightly burnt (the really charred one was hidden underneath the decent ones.) I ordered the Chiquito tacos. They were mediocre to bad. The scrambled eggs with the chorizo were horribly greasy and the grease soaked through the soft tortilla and each taco broke although I ate it immediately after it came out. It tasted like salty mush. The salsa/acidity did not come through at all. All in all, we weren't exactly pleased but I guess it could have also been worse. read more

Skip this place. Food is comparable to Denny's, but you're paying high prices because it's on Melrose. The only good thing about this place is that it's a great place to sit in the patio on a Sunday afternoon and just relax. But if you want to get good food and a good place to sit in the patio on a nice afternoon, just go across the street to Lala's. read more

Was going to Blue Jam Cafe but the line was horrendous so we came here for brunch instead the other day. I'm really happy to have discovered this place! The service was fast and easy, it wasn't too busy and I really like the style/look of the place. I got a traditional breakfast and my boyfriend got the burrito with chorizo which was sooo good that I regretted not getting that instead. But definitely will come back! read more

Great place for breakfast. I had the special -- croissant French toast with berries -- and it was fantastic. It looked and tasted amazing. My side of scrambled eggs was really bland, though. Yummy food and great service. I put chorizo and olives in my omelette and it came out to salty. Owner personally came up and changed my order even though it was a packed restaurant and busy in the kitchen. The new omelette came out within minutes. We were also celebrating a birthday and brought a cake. They let us leave it in the kitchen. Supper accommodating! We had a great time. read more

updated review: Still, one of my favorite brunch spots but I went back recently and they said they are no longer serving alcohol which is kind of a bummer since that is a common pairing for brunch. There was also some sort of a spider crawling on our chair but the staff handled it almost immediately and the manager offered us 20% off our tab. So still 5-star on the customer service from me. They have always been friendly and attentive. The food is still A+ and one of the most affordable brunch options in LA for the quality. read more

I've been coming here for 6+ years. Every time I come in, I'm greeted with a warm welcome, awesome service and excellent food. Truly a neighborhood staple. If you haven't tried Fratelli Cafe yet - do it. Don't let the large crowds on weekends deter you. Call an order in for pick-up to bypass. Totally worth it! read more

Fratelli Cafe is the best brunch spot in LA! I come here at least twice a week and there's something for everyone. My kids get pancakes or waffles and I enjoy the vegan options. The staff is always so accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu, they're able to answer any questions I have with no hesitation. The inside is always clean, the food is delicious, coffee is amazing, parking is easy-go go go!! read more

It was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. I ordered the savory waffle, and it was absolutely worth trying--perfectly prepared, flavorful, and very satisfying. It's one of those dishes that you immediately want to recommend to others. My son chose the chocolate crêpe, and he enjoyed every bite. It was rich, fresh, and beautifully made--exactly what a great brunch treat should be. The cappuccino was excellent--so smooth and well-balanced that I couldn't resist ordering a second one. My son had the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which tasted incredibly fresh and refreshing, a perfect complement to his crêpe. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. The space feels warm, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed, making it a great spot to enjoy quality time with family or friends. Phenomenal Experience at Fratelli Cafe From the moment my friend and I stepped into Fratelli Cafe in Marina del Rey, we were blown away by the exceptional service. The servers were phenomenal--super kind, conversational, and attentive. Truly a 10/10 experience! The menu offered an impressive variety of items, making it hard to choose. This time, I went for the buttermilk pancakes with scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, and powdered sugar dusted over the pancakes, served with warm syrup on the side--a detail I absolutely loved. My guest had the croissant French toast topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries, along with a side of scrambled eggs and a Matcha latte green tea. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Although the interior is a bit small, it has a cozy, community-oriented vibe that makes it charming, especially considering they just opened this location three months ago. The option to dine inside or outside adds to the café feel. I also learned their main location is in Melrose, and I'm excited to try it out in the future. I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The service here is honestly amazing. What I really loved is that everyone working there is ready to help you--not just one assigned server. It's set up so that any employee can assist you, and no one ever says, "Let me get your server." It's such a nice change! Every time I had a question or needed something, someone jumped right in with a smile. You can really feel that the whole team is working together to make sure you're happy. The food was also really good! Every dish we tried was full of flavor--nothing bland or boring here. The menu is easy to browse, and I liked that they offer both electronic and paper versions, which is super convenient whether you want to scroll on a screen or flip through a classic menu. We tried to go to a restaurant down the street on a Saturday night, but they were closed for a private party. So we walked over to Fratelli Cafe instead. They just started serving wine, and they had a wine menu with selections. The waitress was very helpful in helping us select white wine from the menu. I ordered the Eric Chevalier Muscadet Cotes de Grand Lieu. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine they had to offer. I ordered a Mediterranean Quesadilla with chicken, feta cheese, olives and tomato. It was served with a side salad. The food was really good and freshly prepared. I loved the quesadilla made with feta cheese - yummy! My friends either ordered wine or coffee drinks. We sat at a table outside on Melrose, and it was fun to watch all the traffic go by. People driving their cars passed and where getting crazy, and it was all very entertaining, Then as I was paying at the cashier, the waitress was very busy with a few people who had stopped in to buy bakery items. Did my proper brunch hunting on yelp for a Saturday morning bite and decided to give this cafe a chance. Located on Melrose, Fratelli attracts more locals than tourists (a plus for us who don't want to be swarmed) and has an Italian vibe with both outside and indoor seating. Alcohol is only served in the outside patio - - the estimated wait time doesn't exceed fifteen minutes, and service is impeccable. The host is swift in making sure that all parties are seated accordingly and in a timely fashion. Food: my friend and I ordered the wayan (scrambled eggs with potatoes and toast) with a side of bacon, and the croissant French toast to split. The food was divine, the croissant French toast was rich but not overwhelming. I also ordered an iced chai latte which complimented my meal. Parking: parking can be found on the street (metered) and is usually the only option. Many people had ubered to the restaurant to avoid such nuisance. However, I found parking with a breeze. Overall, will definitely come back in the future because the egg Benedicts look incredible! read more

I stopped by this restaurant for breakfast and had a decent experience. The food was pretty good, but I think it could have used a bit more salt to bring out the flavors. Maybe it's just me, but I like a bit of salt to balance out the sweetness. On the plus side, the service was amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. They had both indoor and outdoor seating available, which was a nice touch. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, Jackson omelet, pancakes with fresh fruit, and coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The portions were generous, and the food arrived quickly. The biscuits and gravy were savory and comforting, although like I said earlier, I could have used a bit more salt. The Jackson omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, but again, could have used a pinch more salt. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the fresh fruit was a nice touch. Fratellis, located at 7200 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles, offers a European-style café experience that, unfortunately, fell short during my visit for brunch. I tried two of their juices--the Rooty Tooty and the Bleeding Heart. The Rooty Tooty was refreshing and balanced, but the Bleeding Heart had way too much ginger, making it overpowering and harsh on the throat. For food, I ordered the Croissant French Toast Signature, which was a huge letdown. It arrived cold and lacked flavor. I also tried the Biscuit Benny, which comes with a biscuit, fried chicken, and gravy. Unfortunately, the biscuit was burnt, the chicken was tough and overly dry, and the overall dish was far from enjoyable. While I had high hopes for Fratellis based on its charming European café vibe, the disappointing food left me unsatisfied. This place is always jam packed! However, it doesn't take very long to grab a seat. They have a host and a waitlist system, which makes it easier. The food here is really good. We tried their tofu, criossant French toast, and breakfast burrito. They were all delicious and perfectly seasoned. The coffee was great too. The only downside is that the food comes out luke warm sometimes. I think this is more on preference though since I like my food hot. We grabbed a seat outside near the back parking lot. Probably the fastest way to get a seat but also the worst seat to get proper service. Since you order at the counter, it's pretty hard to grab anyone to help you once you're seated. When you do, they're so busy they forget what you asked for. My main priority is to get delicious food so I don't mind the ok service. Will be back! read more

Was in town on a girls trip and was looking for a good breakfast/lunch place in L.A. Decided to try Fratelli on Wednesday morning after reading the great reviews on yelp. I really liked the setup. The staff was really friendly and efficient . Very cute atmosphere, lovely patio and great music on the background. I had the avocado toast and i really enjoyed the roasted cherry tomatoes on it!! We decided to come back the following day since we enjoyed it so much. The gentleman at the counter (Leor) who was taking food orders remembered us right away. He was very helpful in customizing my complicated omelette order. After eating every bite of it i decided to try their french toast and i just have to say it was the best I've ever had! Great food, even better service but we just wish you guys would open a location on the east coast read more

My favorite spot! All the staff here are super friendly! Service is amazing they are always on top of everything it does get busy on Saturday and Sunday but that's because it's just that good! I Love that it's family owned of course and dog friendly! They have the best coffee hot, iced, or just about any coffee drink there is incredible! The food is AHHHMAZING always fresh! And satisfying the only place near my house that I trust to make my breakfast burritos and know that every time it will be fresh and tasty! If you are looking for a great place to have breakfast/brunch/lunch you MUST try this place you will just love it I recommended all my family and friends here and after trying it they are just as happy as myself! It's best to join the waitlist on Yelp because this place can get busy. The customer service was great, and the greeter, Leo, was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the delicious "Signature Croissant French Toast" with blueberries, strawberries, and powdered sugar, served with maple syrup. I also ordered a side of Applewood-Smoked Bacon, which was good but not crispy, even though I requested it to be. The scrambled eggs were decent but could have been better. We decided to come in Hollywood from Downtown Los Angeles for branch with my boyfriend and his friend. I made reservation for table for 3 from Yelp app. I was 3rd in line. We had about 5 min to arrive to place. When we came to check in hostess said we was removed from waiting list because we late. And waiting time about 30 min. We seat in car, and make reservation again, we got massage from app in 3 min. And my boyfriend instantly came to host. And administrator again said we was removed from waiting list. Seriously? What's happened? Why we can't just have our Sunday breakfast? I was really disappointed! It was the one of worst experience I ever had in LA. read more

We waited 15 minutes for a table which was cool considering it was a weekend. My biggest issue was the service. We ordered quickly and so began the waiting process. 10 mon, 20 min, 25 min pass no food, no service, no communication. 30 min, 35 min pass, still not 1 follow up of "your food should be out shortly" or "can I fill you up cofee" nothing. At the 40 min mark we got tired of the lack of communication so we asked our waitress where the food is, and we were still "3rd in line" jesus cmon, its eggs and bacon, takes 6 minutes to cook. We here get some breakfast to go and they did not disappoint! The Biscuit Benny, Croissant French Toast, and the Chicken & Waffle were all delicious! My favorite would have to be the French Toast with the Biscuit Benny coming in close second. The portions are pretty large too, we definitely had left overs. You walk up to the door and the menu is taped to the window. You place your order outside, and wait until they call you back to the door for your order. Everyone wore masks and it was a pretty seamless transaction. I would love to try more of their menu next time in in LA. read more

The food is great and the staff all possess a warm, friendly and welcoming demeanor. HOWEVER, I must suggest to someone with authority at this place to please, for the love of Moses, get a sticky strip of fly paper up. Depending on the temperature in the summertime, those disgusting little bastards flock to the tables like they got an invitation in the mail. I don't know about you, but flies fuck my day up.
