Thought i give this place a second chance because i was craving chilaquiles. This was the closest and i was too lazy to drive to my fav location. First off, no greetings when i walked in and the place was empty. I ordered on the kiosk. I ordered to go and got it within 5 mins. The refried beans and rice were really good! Especially the rice! (Very flavorful!) The chilaquiles were ok.. Tortilla chips were soggy and I prefer my eggs runny. Another great option in covina for delicious Mexican food. The specials here are pretty affordable. We decided to try the fish taco special and the street tacos special. We didn't need to wait too long for our food and the service was quick. When the plates arrived the plates were stacked! It's worth the price you pay for sure. The fish taco was packed full of vegetables and my wife liked the street tacos. I also tried the Horchata with my meal and she had an Agua Fresca. Had high expectations for this place due to previous reviews. We got the fuego nachos and 3 carne asada tacos and 3 al pastor tacos. The portion of their tacos were bigger than usual street tacos but Was a little disappointed with the flavor. The meat had little seasoning from what we could taste. We had the Strawberry agua fresca, horchata and the pepino. They were all delicious my favorite was the strawberry! Definitely a recommendation! Good noodle and birria flavor, they give you some hot sauce to give it a real kick. Out of the kitchen has almost no spice but its great for all ages in that way. Their horchata was seriously great and had a very concentrated flavor. Their strawberry agua fresca was also very good. Stopped by here after a few eats already. This place is located in a plaza with plenty of party. Inside has a good amount of tables. The menu Is quite extensive. I believe I ordered the quesabirria tacos and small consommé. Food came out quickly as there wasn't anyone else there. Flavor was good, had a good meat portion. This is one of the better tacos, but definitely not on the cheap side. Wanted to try other stuff on the menu but was already too full. First off, let me start with a compliment. Their food was so good! I finally found a place that served amazing birria ramen, and my husband had the diabla torta, and that was fantastic too. My son had the carne asada burrito, and we ordered the taquitos to share. The lower stars were given because... 1. I tried to preorder over the phone, it took me to an automated AI sounding lady who said they would send me a text, with a link to order. Strange, but ok. When I used the link, I ordered my 4 requests and the total was a little over $80! Whaaaat? So I thought maybe they was some sort of extra fees for ordering by phone. So we decided to go in. 2. We went in. It was very small but cute. The set up was a bit unusual, but nothing to complain about. There was a stand alone self ordering kiosk near the ordering area, and we decided to order through that. When we got the total is was still much more than it should have been and I noticed there was a fee added that was close to $3. I asked the employee (VERY nice man with lots of hair) why there was a fee. He wasn't sure but offered to ring us up at the register, which came out to significantly less than both the phone and the kiosk. 3. Food came out pretty quickly, but the man had a lot of hair with no hair net. Luckily there was no hair in or around our containers when we got home. While I was worried how birria would translate into a broth due to its greasy nature, the broth itself was decent. I believe the ramen noodles were actually instant noodles which kinda surprised me. I came across Fuego Cravings on Yelp when looking for a place to eat. When I saw all the Birria options on their menu, I had to check it out. The restaurant is clean with a handful of small tables for indoor seating. I love Birria and I love cheese so I went straight for the quesabirria tacos. I thought the quesabirria tacos were a bit pricey at almost $5 each but they were very good. I liked that the corn tortillas weren't too crispy and the Birria was tender and juicy. I didn't realize you had to order the consume separately until after my food came. My husband ordered the surf and turf burrito (asada and shrimp). The chipotle cream sauce was good but the meat was mainly asada. There were only 1 or 2 shrimp in the burrito so he was disappointed. We also ordered a bean rice and cheese burrito for the kids. The kids menu items are $10 each and come with a drink and ice cream. Unfortunately, we never got our ice cream. There was only one person working the register and serving so she probably forgot. My kids were happy with their drinks so they didn't complain but it would have been a nice treat for them. Overall the food was good and the service was decent.
