The restaurant is clean and I love the bold, red walls. They have agua fresca and it was special to see strawberry milk (like strawberry nesquick). My boyfriend and I sat at the table and a server saw us come in. We didn't know we needed to order at the counter, so we sat a while, waiting for server. Finally I had to ask about giving an order and she said it was at the counter. I wish she could have said that during a greeting as we walked in. Otherwise she was very nice. I ordered a milita my friend got a torta de pastor. I didn't see the big deal with the birria. I thought it was missing some Sazón. Consomé was a little bland too. I asked my boyfriend how he liked the torta and he said, "You know me. If it's food I'll eat it." This place is so good! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and came out quickly. I had the carne asada tacos (street tacos ), and they were some of the best I've had. The rice and beans were also really good. If you're a fan of spice and snack food cravings, you have to try the Hot Cheeto fries here. If you want to spend quality family time, don't even bother to come to this place. As soon as I walked in with my wife and daughter, the big & tall lady in the cashier booth said it's take out only. I placed my order and waited. While I waited for my order I noticed there was a couple there that just got their order and started eating in the restaurant. So when the lady gave me my order I asked her that why is she allowing people to eat in the restaurant if she told me that it's take out only. And she said and I quote "I'm not going to be rude and tell them to leave when they placed their order to eat inside" but she was rude by not letting me and my wife eat inside the restaurant. Thought i give this place a second chance because i was craving chilaquiles. This was the closest and i was too lazy to drive to my fav location. First off, no greetings when i walked in and the place was empty. I ordered on the kiosk. I ordered to go and got it within 5 mins. The refried beans and rice were really good! Especially the rice! (Very flavorful!) The chilaquiles were ok.. Tortilla chips were soggy and I prefer my eggs runny. Another great option in covina for delicious Mexican food. The specials here are pretty affordable. We decided to try the fish taco special and the street tacos special. We didn't need to wait too long for our food and the service was quick. When the plates arrived the plates were stacked! It's worth the price you pay for sure. Good noodle and birria flavor, they give you some hot sauce to give it a real kick. Out of the kitchen has almost no spice but its great for all ages in that way. Their horchata was seriously great and had a very concentrated flavor. Their strawberry agua fresca was also very good. You can tell the chef really paid attention to the detail and made sure it came out nice, crispy and full of flavor. The consume was packed with flavor and not watered down at all. I drank all of it.. haha! The Chicken Quesadilla was delicious, crispy, not too greasy and the fresh cilantro and onion just gave it that extra freshness. We had the Strawberry agua fresca, horchata and the pepino. They were all delicious my favorite was the strawberry! Definitely a recommendation! I believe I ordered the quesabirria tacos and small consommé. Food came out quickly as there wasn't anyone else there. Flavor was good, had a good meat portion. While I was worried how birria would translate into a broth due to its greasy nature, the broth itself was decent. I believe the ramen noodles were actually instant noodles which kinda surprised me. Overall, the dish was fine but not sure I'd try it again. There was a decent amount of birria meat accompanying the ramen.
