I waited far too long to change my oil. The light was on, but my teacherness had not been paid for the entire summer, and daycare, and school clothes, and gas to get to and fro...I mistreated Shiro. Shiro is our white Rav4, my husband's car that he gave to me when he moved up, My Choice! My old girl, 2006 Toyota Corrola Sport, aka Suzi, went to car heaven, or so we tell the kiddos. I do miss her sometimes. She had such zip! Shiro is bomb, and she drives like a little car, but feels safer and sturdier. The minute she became mine, the seat covers, the steering wheel, and the license plate frame because pink and sparkly. I finally rolled her into our local JiffyLube. The guys recognized the car, but not me. It was fun. My younger son was with me, so we stayed in the car. He sang baby shark whilst eating his snack, and I had ten minutes to just mellow. My husband and older son were going to meet us, should it take too long, but it was done in maybe ten minutes! Holy Clocks! I paid, and marvelled at the quickness! I was given a coupon discount that my husband had, that I knew nothing about. When I became effusive over the fact that this had happened so quickly, I was told: This is Jiffy. Hells yes it is! It is very sad you feel that way. Since I was in your way because the staff have to deal with me, that slows down your waiting line. You are not happy. But you did not know that they told me my car has to charge a lot more because ​it is a ​Mercedes​. Jiffy Lube have to use expensive oil - mobile 1, then turn around to use the cheap oil. I found out, they did not apologies, instead they made it difficult. I spent more than one hour there before you people came in. They said they are at lunch, so I have to wait. They told me a couple of excuses that they could not refund. ​A big company like Jiffy Lube should have some honesty and decency. After all, this is the US. The whole world believes this is the best country. Especially I told the guy I was a widow, never having to take care of a car. I am sure they will not do that ​to younger people. They think I am 70 years old. Easy to cheat. It is not worth it for me to spend the time and my health to deal with this. ​If they are honest, I do not have to spent extra 1.5 hours there and to be tortured. ​For a old lady like me. Generally I wouldnt even come to a Jiffy Lube but today the dealer happened to have overbooked and left me choice. I figured I would bring the OEM filter and oil is oil, cant screw that up. Well, I was wrong, upon completion of changing my oil and driving my car out of the bay i noticed my car was spewing windshield washer fluid out the drivers side bumper. After closer inspection it would be discovered that it was leaking from the nozzle of my headlight washer behind the bumper. I explained to the homies working what had happened to be told oh no this was my fault. After arguing about it, he told me that my car came in with an empty fluid bottle. Which is total BS, I drive a 2013 Golf R.. I have a washer fluid level indicator, nice lie buddy. I have learned my lesson not to trust my $40k car to a bunch of high school dropouts who cant even change a filter and drain a fluid without messing something up. read more

I used to like this Jiffy Lube and would go whenever I needed an oil change but didn't have much time. The last time i went there was terrible, they broke a lug-nut on my tire, said they would fix it and never did. When ever I asked to speak to the manager, they would give me an excuse and tell me he was not there. I tried to contact Jiffy Lube customer service but they did not help me either. Why oh why do I not consult Yelp BEFORE going to a new place... hmpf. Customer Service was initially OK, other than the usual attempts at trying add on additional, unnecessary services. The service itself was fine (although I'm going to go check to make sure they actually put oil in after reading Meg's review). Here's my complaint...they had an issue with their POS system (computer/register) and could not cash anyone out. I think someone in the back was on the phone with someone trying to work it out, but in the meantime, we all just waited. And waited. No status updates, no apologies, nothing. Someone eventually figured out that they could manually check us out and ring it up later. But still, no apologies or even a concern for making us wait for 20 minutes. I've been going to JL for 20 years in 3 different states. At this place, I was misquoted a price and the time it would take...so I paid too much and I was late for an appointment. I needed a fuel filter replaced and fuel system flushed. It was $60 each, but we negotiated $100 including tax, out the door and it would take 12 to 15 minutes. That was too much money to begin with, but I was under a time constraint, so I went for it. At the counter, the guy told me it might be up to $101 or $102. I still agreed. It took 40 minutes and they tried charging me $128 and change. They finally took it down to $110 and change, but wouldn't budge further saying it was $101-102 plus tax. It wasn't. I was out of time, and couldn't fight this. They lost a 20 year loyal customer...I'm done. read more

As a female, I'm always leery whenever I have to get something done for my car. Because of that, I usually get my oil changed at the same place I've been going to since I started driving. On a rare occasion when I've pushed my car to it's limits, I'll take it somewhere else in fear that my engine will fall off if I don't. - That or I'll cause some major repairs I could've avoided had I gotten my oil change sooner. Anyway, I called this place earlier in the day to see what time they closed and how late I could bring my car in to get an oil change. (I asked that because a couple other places I called said they closed at 6pm, but I needed to be there by 4:30 because they has other cars to service.) Anyway, the guy who answered the phone told me they closed at 7 and that as long as I was there by 7, my car would get serviced. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a gentleman who happily took my car in. In the end, he did the expected and gave me a run down of the "recommended" purchases/services. However, there was no pressure so it felt more of an informational suggestion which I prefer. I purchased an air filter because I knew I needed one. Finally when I was ready to pay, I presented him with a $5 off coupon I had which he applied. He also gave me an additional discount just for kicks which I so appreciate. This place is close to my work and has friendly service and is quick! read more

I have used Jiffy Lube for years in VA, OR, Seattle, and for my dad, this shop in Irvine, CA. My experiences have almost always been good, and this was a five-star experience. Jair made me feel welcome, had the car ready faster than promised, and was extremely professional. There is a good vibe to the whole place. I came here after my car was repaired at the OC BUMPER AND BODY. The service seemed as it if was any other JIFFY LUBE. The service was fast (I needed an oil change...it was done in about 15-20 minutes). The person who helped me explained everything very well to me and in clarity. They even made the effort to walk me to my car and to make sure that everything was ok with it. One thing that did somewhat bug me was that they highly recommended the FULL SYNTHETIC oil. I dont know too much about cars...but does a G35 COUPE require FULL SYNTHETIC? Needed an oil change. I used a yelp $15 off coupon and I wanted it done in a "jiffy" so here I am. It took 20 minutes which I was happy about. However the standard service was suppose to come with them vacuuming the car, which they did not. But I went there for an oil change so I didn't press the issue. However, they should take that off as a service if they aren't going to do it. Which is the reason for the 4 star rating. Came here an hour before they closed, on a Friday no less, but there was not a problem getting in. Most financial websites will tell you that the oil change at places like this is a pretty good deal, but tends to be a loss leader - the upsell items is where they make their money. So first thing they wanted me to rotate the tires (again) and replace the filters (again? this is the third time in a row, and apparently I fall for this each time), and do an A/C flush and a radiator flush. Just bought tires about an hour before I showed up, so no rotation for me. But it was definitely a hard sell. In fact, I got the hard sell three times. Found the Yelp coupon online, which was better than what they could do for me. But they did agree to give me 15% additional off, which was a good discount. Not much to do around there if you are stuck waiting for a while, and unlike some other Jiffy Lubes in the area, not free wifi. Staff all seemed nice, especially since they were about to close. As always, car came back clean on the windshield, all fluids topped off, and vacuumed. read more

I never thought I'd be sitting here writing a review for Jiffy Lube, but here I am! I recently moved to Irvine about a month ago and was way overdue for an oil change. I was greeted promptly by Sam who helped me out immensely. Sam's positive and sincere attitude made my visit an enjoyable one. I really only had the intentions of coming in for an oil change, but left with new air filter, cabin filter, & my transmission fluid replaced. He even cleaned up all the corrosion around my battery connectors. Sam went above and beyond today. My glove compartment had been shut closed for the past 3 years. I went into a Honda dealership to see if they could open it and the rep there informed me that they would have to remove, detach, and REPLACE the whole compartment -- charging me some ridiculous amount of money. Got an oil change at this location and was very surprised the mid price oil change is now $75.00 when I discussed this with the manager he said you are paying a premium price for service. When I mentioned Jiffy Lube is now more expansive than what you would pay at the dealership he couldn't care didn't offer a coupon nothing just walked away. I find myself fairly conflicted as far as Jiffy Lube goes. Excellent in terms of staff friendliness and professionalism, cleanliness, and convenience, but my experience and the condition of my car after my visit are the reasons for the 2-star review. Two of my technicians gave me differing lists of the parts and services that were recommended for my vehicle. One said that my vehicle could break down without filling the recommendation, while the second didn't even have the part in question listed as a recommended part. In addition, my car has been difficult to start in the mornings and in cold weather since the day after visiting Jiffy Lube, and I never had those problems prior to my visit. Not sure what exactly happened, but I'm worried about taking my car to Jiffy Lube again. Seems like more things stopped working after the oil change than anything. read more

I've never had a more awful experience. Incredibly Rude and unprofessional. They (accidentally I assume) threw out my parking permit which was in my windshield behind the sticker reminding you when your next service is due. When I first asked Ricardo, he became extremely defensive and angry. He told me he is the "manager" and "doesn't give a shit about his job" and doesn't care if clients have a bad experience or complain. Unfortunately I will have to pay to replace my permit. Fortunately, there are many other places I can choose to take my vehicle. Mistakes happen, but Ricardos outrageous response to the situation was uncalled for and beyond inappropriate. It's actually relatively good experience with Jiffy Lube. The place is nothing to brag about, just a simple waiting room and coffee. But the service is quick and painless, they did quick vacuum and windshield cleaning which is nice, the oil is in good quality and I haven't had any problem yet (knock on wood), and they always seems to be good and quick on the service. I have never been to such a nice place to have my car worked on that has such excellent customer service. I usually go to the Jiffy Lube and Redlands. They do a fast job and it's cheap and efficient. The Irvine Jiffy Lube went above and beyond a good job. Every one who worked there was so super nice. They didn't just do my oil change fast to get rid of me. They told me my car needed scheduled maintenance ( and gave me a deal on the price) they did the maintenance right there on the spot quickly. Every one who works there was so nice and cheerful and helpful I felt like I was at the Mercedes Benz dealership getting my car worked on and not just Jiffy Lube.
