Off of the recommendation of a friend, most of my company ordered an egg pancake, I specifically ordered the house bbq pork which was delicious, and the cute little container had more food than you would've imagined! My order itself was under $10, which is a steal for food prices nowadays. They have other yummy items too like milk tea and black pepper toast which I'll def be back to try out. I was so excited to Luxweet when it came across my feed! Luxweet is a cute little cafe that is home to delicious and authentic and incredibly affordable Taiwanese style breakfast items and snacks. Service was friendly and my food was prepared right away. The Taiwanese egg pancakes were delicious, and run at less than $7. The pancakes themselves were soft and chewy, kind of like mochi dough. And the flavors were awesome! So far I've tried the Kimcheese (amazing fusion combo) and the Basil & cheese egg pancakes, and I loved both. It's the only place nearby that I know of that serves breakfast egg pancakes and tea options with the fragrant soybean milk I grew up, not the American kind. I always order the house bbq pork basil egg pancake, and the old fashioned black tea with soybean milk, less sweet. The drink is very yummy and refreshing. The pancake is also yummy with the addition of basil, although the pancake and pork could be much crispier. However it is still tasty and the accompanying cucumber salad adds the right balance. I appreciate how I can place a mobile order. However, during my second visit, they forgot to give me the 3rd drink I'd ordered, and I had to ask about it. The prices are also a bit high for the pancake serving size. The store itself is quite small but there is an outdoors patio with seating. It's not the most comfortable since the tables and chairs are like metal patio furniture, so having cushions would make it a lot more comfortable and inviting. Came here for a snack/late lunch on a Sunday. You first order at the counter, get a pager that notifies you when the food is ready, and then find a table outside. My boyfriend and I split the pork belly bao and the house BBQ pork toast. The pork belly in the bao wasn't super tender, and also seemed to lack some sauce/flavor. The house BBQ pork toast was unique. The bread probably needed some more butter, and the inside also needed more sauce/condiments. The BBQ pork inside wasn't tender and the pieces were pretty chewy. I've had L'uxweet bookmarked during early covid days and never got a chance to try it out. While hiking in the area, I planned to come here for a good Taiwanese breakfast before embarking on a long hike. Nested in the corner of a small strip mall, right next to Peet's coffee, this place is definitely easy to miss. But exactly because it's nestled in a corner, there are some patio tables outside the restaurant where you can sit down and enjoy the delicious meal. After looking at all the Yelp pictures, I knew right away that I wanted to try their House BBQ pork egg pancake. They have all the Taiwanese staple bento items with a few breakfast toast/sandwich. However, we were only interested in the egg pancake so we ordered an additional one, which was the Tuna and Corn. The food didn't take too long to be ready, and came in a cute little bento box. The packaging is actually quite clever, and seems environmental friendly as well. I'll have to say, they really know how to get their egg pancakes done. The flavor on the pork was slightly sweet and savory, not too oily either. I did wish the egg pancake was a bit crunchier, but did not mind its gooey texture and savory flavor. Don't underestimate the size of the egg pancake. Though it comes in a small bento box, it's a lot for breakfast! The pancake is doughy and will fill you up! Although I liked both of the egg pancakes, I do have to say that the house bbq pork was a solid A+. I go to the other order iPad and the other gentleman is just about finished. I say good morning and the other guy didn't say anything. It's ok, not everyone is a morning person. I look on the pad for a couple of minutes and start to make my order. Now, the other guy goes behind the counter and starts doing stuff and talking to the people in the back. He's an employee of some sort. But never said hello, can I help you, looking for suggestions or anything. Just goes about his tasks. I finish my iPad order, and wouldn't you know it...it starts asking for a tip. So, I walk in, am not greeted or helped in any way, have to figure out the ordering system myself, no cash allowed, I am clearly new to the place and am not helped AT ALL, but I am supposed to tip??????? This is why tipflation has gotten out of control. The guy literally does not say anything to me until my food came out and even then, the entire conversation was "Thanks". Oh, and "napkins are behind you", almost forgot that part. As far as the food, you have GOT to be kidding if they think that THIS is the best breakfast in town. Not, the best Taiwanese breakfast in town, not the best Asian breakfast in town, just THE best breakfast in town. Please. It was a scallion pancake with pork and a way too sweet sauce in it, folded over and cut. The little pickled baby cucumbers were tasty though. Please see my pictures for reference. Very limited menu overall. I would be hard pressed to come back here again with the lack of customer service, friendly interaction and very limited menu. If you have a craving for this very specific kind of breakfast, I can see the appeal. But touting the "Best Breakfast in Town" and having this be all that there is, I say keep on moving. As someone who grew up in Taiwan, I've been looking for a good Taiwanese breakfast place in OC for a couple years. I wanted to love this place, but the egg pancakes were way thicker than how they are traditionally made, and the amount of filling is a lot less than expected. The whole dish was mostly thick pieces of the pancake wrap, with tiny bites of pork or a very thin layer of tuna in between. Adding the cheese to the tuna one did not have the intended effect of making it rich and creamy. There was so little cheese and the taste of the cheese was so bland that at one point, I thought they forgot to add cheese. That said, I loved the soy milk, and I'd likely still come back for the egg pancakes occasionally, just because it's something light and easy to eat that is somewhat similar to the taste of home. Good? Yes. Authentic? Not sure. Some yelpers have said this is authentic Taiwanese food, but through our Taiwan trips we're not quite sure. Plus, lover is Taiwanese (NOT from Thailand) and does not ever recall the egg pancake having a "mochi" like consistency. A coworker that I haven't seen in a while told me about this place. I decided to order the good ol' ham and cheese flavor combo since it was breakfast time, and ordered gyoza cause it just looked so good. I'm my friend let me have a bite of her BBQ pork pancake and oh my. Was good too. What I find amazing it's how airy and fluffy the Taiwanese pancake was. The green opinions are definitely a nice touch, plus the pickled cucumbers gives the perfect side-complement to the pancake. Packaging (bags, chopsticks, boxes) are super cute, but I'm not surprise an Asian place takes care of packaging. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars it's because they don't have coffee. This place is a hidden gem! I love Taiwanese style breakfast, but it's not easy to find good places with reasonable prices in a nice area. This place ticks all the boxes! Luxweet has a pretty good variety on their menu, but I knew beforehand I had to have egg pancake and some type of soy milk. Unfortunately they were out of basil and fresh soybean milk at 10am, but I was able to get the pancake without basil and a brown sugar soy milk. Service was quite fast, and there is a nice outdoor seating area in the plaza that Luxweet is in. As for the food itself, the portions and pricing were very reasonable. I was able to be full and satisfied for around 14 dollars! They were generous with the meat and sauce, and it brought me back to the last time I visited Taiwan. Bonus points for the very cute packaging! The drink was a little bit too sweet for me, but I think I just ordered the wrong drink for my tastes. I really want to try the old fashioned tea next time. Delighted to find a place in Tustin for Taiwan style lunch and snacks. Tried the braised pork belly and BBQ pork rice lunch bowls. Both come packed with rice, plentiful pork, sauteed cabbage, sweet pickled cucumbers and an egg. The egg on the BBQ pork was fried over medium and the egg on the pork belly was braised as well. Both were tasty though a tad sweet on the BBQ pork side, which in combination with the sweet pickled cucumbers, made for an overall slightly too sweet lunch. Still, the lunch bowls are solid and we had plenty of food left over for another time. I had seen pictures of egg tarts and assorted wrapped cookies before I visited but none of those thing were present this time. They have signs up requesting everyone wear masks while inside and to wait outside for your order (you're handed a buzzing pager to signal when your food is ready) so I guess they're still in pared down mode and aren't selling any off-menu extras yet. In my opinion still one of the most under-rated Taiwanese Breakfast/Snack spots in Orange County. Lux'weet has been around for almost ten years and delivers solid classics: Shawarma sandwiches (get the black pepper beef), giant "Toast" sandwiches packed with double protein and veggies, and giant, fluffy egg pancakes filled with your protein of choice. We ordered yesterday morning and I still had enough for the whole drive home back to NorCal. Also, their Soy milk is clearly hand-made, and the 75% level of sweetness is perfect (you can grab cold ones in the open fridge to the right of the entrance). The environment is not chic style, but playful and fun. Service is great, the man at the front understands mandarin but will speak in English, so you decide if you need to code switch. I was looking for a quick bite before getting back to more work when I stumbled upon L'uxweet. This is a quaint little Taiwanese cafe specializes in baked goods, breakfast and boba tea. Their Taiwanese style Egg Pancake section of the menu caught my eye. These all come with green onion, egg, soy sauce with your choice of filling. Per the friendly cashier's recommendation I opted for E7 House Pork with Basil ($6.45). I really like the exterior of the pancake with green onions and eggs and the pork was decent. However the excessive amount of basil was a turn off. I like basil, but this was overkill. The sauce was also overwhelming to the point that my savory choice tasted sweet and soggy as I was eating. I would consider coming back for a different filling, and definitely ask for the sauce on the side. While at a boba tea spot, I couldn't resist getting a beverage to with meal. I decided on the Almond Milk Tea ($4.95) with Egg Pudding ($0.60). The drink was not memorable, but not bad. Expected more of a sit down place but it's fast casual. We ordered an egg pancake (original), gyozas, pork belly bao and the nabeyaki with egg noodles. The egg pancake was our favorite. The pork belly bao came in second. Gyozas were okay, tasted like something you can buy at the grocery store. The most disappointing item was the noodles. We got some wheat noodles, not egg. The toast was thick cut, toasted perfectly. The egg, tomato, cucumber, and hamburger patty were perfect together. The success secret of Taiwanese sandwich is the authentic mayonnaise which was absolutely incredible here. I don't like the thick cut toast that much but overall excellent toast sandwich. Luxweet is a small spot tucked into the corner of a nondescript Tustin strip mall. It sells boba and coffee, hot food made to order, and a small selection of baked treats. I don't know how folks know about this place though they've got a healthy social media following which might help account for the steady stream of customers that visited while I was there. Plenty of Mandarin being spoken suggests that the local Taiwanese community may also be responsible for part of the customer base. I was here for the Taiwanese egg pancakes, cooked fresh with ten or so different combinations of fillings. I went for the house bbq pork and basil version. Delicious! It was much less oniony or greasy than what you'd find at a night market in Taiwan. This one was served piping hot, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, drizzled with a light, sweet soy sauce like a teriyaki. I could have had more of that delicious sauce, for sure! A small mound of pickled cucumber adds a perfect crunch to the dish. I've got a healthy appetite and the one pancake made for a nice lunch. I saw a sign on the counter for the same house BBQ pork served over rice. That thin sliced pork in my pancake was so delicious that I'm sure it could easily stand on its own and would be so good over hot rice. Maybe next time. I don't know what the cafe's name means but it doesn't matter. Stop by, order up, and enjoy your food outside under an umbrella at one of the sunny patio tables. You owe it to yourself to try the pancakes here. I dropped by L'uxweet on a whim when in the area, and I'm very glad I did. The House BBQ Pork Taiwanese pancake was easily the best breakfast I've had in years. It's a mix of savory and carb-y goodness, but not overwhelming in any way - it's just as good as genuine Taiwanese street food, but conveniently way closer than Taiwan itself. read more

Like the name suggests, the food here is SWEET. I got the bbq pork & basil pancake and the sauce that they drizzle on top is very, very sweet. It's almost like a teriyaki sauce. I didn't love how sweet it was but my milk tea was really good and very strong. I don't think the pancakes are for me, but I'd come back to try their other breakfast items and come back for the tea! read more

I want to start off by saying the young lady in the front that was taking the order and making the drinks was so sweet and nice! Now onto the drink ~ I got the oolong milk tea with b boba and the boba was so chewy and soft, I loved it! I'm always hesitant to get boba in my drinks because it literally can ruin the entirety of my drink if the boba is like old tasting and doesn't have the chewy soft texture. The oolong milk tea was pretty good, I wish the tea was alittle stronger but I personally drink my teas strong which is a personal preference. Super happy that theirs did and I was not disappointed Next to the sandwich, apparently their most popular one is this one, the BBQ pork. BBQ pork was tender and flavorful but in certain bites there was a lot of black pepper? So I felt the black pepper was a little overwhelming and I didn't care for the cucumbers in the sandwich. But it is flavorful and if you can get past the pepperyness, it's yummy! read more

I had basil and house bbq pork pancake here, the meat is very delicious however I find the pancake bland, so thick and soggy even though I ordered and ate it there. I definitely did not enjoy the texture of the pancake. However, their house bbq pork rice is delicious, obviously for the reason that the meat taste very good. It comes with a fried egg, cucumber slices and cabbage as a side. I enjoyed this rice bowl for lunch. I also tried their oolong milk tea. I find it a bit too watery and bland. I'm quite disappointed. The seafood porridge however was loaded with fish chunks and seafood. I loved it. However, I will still come back here for the bbq pork and I will look forward to trying basil lamb. They were very busy during winter break. We waited 30 minutes for our order. So if you go during winter break make sure you order ahead of time. But right now it's not too busy and come out within 10 minutes. In summary, get house bbq pork. Expect very thick and chewy texture for the pancake. It's quite heavy. Don't get it unless that's what you enjoy. Milk tea: lots of people get them, but I personally did not enjoy it. read more

This place tucked away in a small shopping plaza, and it is next to Peet's Coffee. The Taiwanese pancake came in a cute little package, and it was sliced into about 8-9 pieces. It has a similar texture to crepe, but a little thicker and it taste savory/sweet. It kind of does look like a crepe with syrup, but not as sweet. The side of pickles added a good balance. As small as the portion looks, it was actually very filling! Also, the BBQ bao was pretty good as well! It had a good amount of pork in it and again, the pickles paired very well with it as well. It does have peanuts, so just be aware if you have allergies. Otherwise, the bao was pretty good overall. If you're getting both the pancake and bao, I think it can be shared between 2 people because both items were pretty filling even though the portion looks small. Overall, this is a great place to have a Taiwanese style breakfast, and it's so far has been the best I've had- the cashier explained to me in detail about the food I asked for, and he was very nice to me.
