But they still not good as the og Korean buckwheat noodle though in Korea. The parking at this plaza is always mad house. It's small and the restaurant is small too. They didn't have high chair available for my daughter so it was more annoying. But the food comes out pretty quick and tasty. Went to Lee Ga for a weekday lunch. There was still a wait but for a party of two we were seated within 15 minutes. The spicy cold noodle was the perfect dish for a hot day. A lovely balance of light gochujang spice and sesame, and the portion was generous which was an added plus. Ordered a couple of sides: the kimchi dumplings and chive pancake which were both excellent. Parking is a little tight. There is valet parking in the lot but the lot is small and fills up fast. Overall: consistent solid lunch spot in Ktown. Plenty of parking (huge +) and a good selection of lunch special dishes. Nothing blows your mind away but it's quick easy and reasonably priced. Food: sulungtang had all the necessities with the meat, glass noodles and clear bone broth. Mix it in with the purple rice and you get that grain texture to go with the smooth soup. The pancake was cooked just to a crisp and you could taste all the aromatic onion/chive flavors. Meat dumplings were absolutely filled to the brim. Nothing too crazy but 6 pieces of incredibly full and juicy dumplings can't be slept on. Ambience/Decor/Service: food came out quickly and piping hot indicating it was fresh. This may be our new spot now - jinsol is good but we've gone too many times and it feels a bit too heavy (we always feel thirsty/bloated after eating there). The combination of naengmyeon + gukbap here helps cut the heaviness. Waiter was sooooo nice to our toddler. He brought out flashing toys and a hand fan for him and gave us an extra white rice on the house since we said he would eat that over purple (he recommended the purple rice for us). Highly recommend the mul naengmyun combo! It comes with beef back ribs that are so tender and flavorful. I usually order galbi with my naengmyun but this was a game changer. After adding vinegar and mustard to my broth, it was the perfect level of acidity and the ice in the broth made it so refreshing. The beef back rib was marinated so well and complemented the naengmyun. The broth has a unique taste to it compared to other places (I can't pinpoint what it is exactly) but it really stood out to me. There was one server working but he was so patient with our large group, kind, and friendly. They also serve alcohol here. Parking on a weekday night is free in the lot within the plaza. Yukdaejang 5/5 - this was very tasty! Pretty spicy but I don't mind spice so it was good for me but I think it was too spicy for my sister. A good amount of meat and it comes with rice so it was very filling. I took my leftovers home and it wasn't that good the next day. First time trying Lee Ga last night. The kimchi mandu were disappointing. They were steamed too long and when picking each up they stuck to the paper and the filling fell out. The radish kimchi was a bit too salty. The lee ga sulling tang was at least good. Filling with a lot of tender brisket. Idk how often I would come just cause of the distance but I thought Lee Ga was pretty legit. There were some regrets of not trying the dumplings but we ordered a few things to try. I think their "combo" stuff is pretty worth. I think price wise especially for a Korean restaurant, it's actually pretty inexpensive. We got spicy pork galbi, 2 Naeng Myun (one is a combo with 2 beef ribs), and a chive pancake. It should come as no surprised but it comes with banchan. We wanted to try PRIME seok galbi but it was a tid too expensive haha so we ordered spicy pork galbi instead. The pork galbi came with potatoes and mushrooms in a spicy sauce. Prob won't order it again, not that it's bad but just not that special. It was also not spicy at all or we both didn't think it was. Chive pancake, honestly I was craving for jeon for a bit and saw that it was 8.99 and I was like lets do it. It satisfied my cravings pretty well and I honestly thought it was pretty great and cheap. I expected jeon to usually got for 14-15 bucks(although a tad smaller) but I thought it was well worth(came with a sauce). Naeng myun were good. I kinda regret not trying the spicy one but I thought it was good. Add some mustard and vinegar to really round the taste. Perfect for this type of weather right now. The beef ribs were good. Almost surprisingly good. Service was actually really nice especially the guy. He was very patient and just seems very kind overall. There was a short wait on a Wednesday night (not a lot of staff and a fairly full house). Noodles here are made in house and you can tell with the fresh al dente texture. Make sure to cut them up with scissors at the table to make it easier to eat. The mul version is very simple and icy cold. It is good if you want something refreshing but I found the flavor lacking. The bibim version is less soupy and spicier. Again it was good but not the best flavor (hence 4 stars). The kimchi dumpling was just okay for me (3 stars, probably wouldn't reorder unless I wanted dumplings). The beef rib had a nice smokey sweet flavor but requires some effort getting the meat off the bone. I saw a lot of people ordering soups so I would give that a go next time. Ban chan was pretty average too with only 3 options. I found free street meter parking after 7pm up Vermont just a block from the restaurant. Otherwise there is a valet lot. read more

If you're in the mood for buckwheat noodles, these are the star here. I had the extra spicy cold noodles and the texture and bounce of the noodles are different than most places. The extra spicy is pretty hot, so be prepared to sweat a little. The banchan options were mediocre. There was kimchi with some leek in it, Persian cucumbers with some bean paste, and some pickled daikon. The beef back ribs were tender, but lacked some flavor. Kind of tastes like it was the bone for the beef broth and then taken out, sprayed with some of the sweet soy sauce, and then lightly grilled. It was okay. I wish their mandu had a pork option since my plus one can't eat beef. I would be back for the buckwheat noodles. read more

This place came on my radar because it was making a lot of noise with regard to their cold noodles. I've never tried the Korean cold noodles before this place. There's a certain authenticity about this place with a homestyle feel to it. The place feels family owned and operated, but there's a warmth to it in the service. It is a smaller café with limited tables. I met up my friend and her kids at this place after I came back from the Fresno area from a long day of fruit picking during the summer. So definitely, the cold noodles were on my mind. I got the Mul Neang Myun - chilled buckwheat noodle soup sith cold beef broth. The noodles were super tasty. And I added mustard for flavoring as well. I can only assume this is a good representative of cold noodles based on other reviews and articles I've read. But I have to say, I think I'm a hot noodles guy even if it's over 100° outside. I'll sweat it out if I have to lol. Maybe it's the Vietnamese in me. In Vietnamese culture I'm not sure if there are any cold noodle soup dishes to keep people cool. Since I was with my friend and her kids, we ordered some other stuff for the table as well. I got to try the bone broth, which was really tasty as well. We got the Seok Bulgogi along with some purple rice and an assortment of banchan. The spices were on point and everything was just so delicious and well cooked. I'm a big fan of this place and would like to come back to try some other stuff on the menu as well. As much as I liked the cold noodles I probably don't need those again. With regard to parking I got really lucky and found metered parking right outside of the lot. After a late soccer game, we were on the hunt for a place to eat around 9:30 PM. We first tried another restaurant nearby, but the line was way too long. As we made a U-turn, we spotted Lee Ga--and wow, I'm so glad we did! Plenty of parking, a welcoming and well-lit exterior, and once inside, everything was spotless and nicely organized. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, offering great menu suggestions (which helped a lot because everything looked delicious). We ordered the Spicy Naengmyeon (cold noodles), Galbitang (beef rib soup), and the Modum Sooyook (boiled beef brisket and knee platter). Every dish was outstanding--packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. The kimchi and kkakdugi were hands down the best we've had in town. I had Lee Ga bookmarked and decided to try it out after returning to LAX from a weekend trip. We were lucky enough to get a spot in the small parking lot because someone was leaving, but most likely you will have to find street parking. The restaurant is rather small but service was very friendly, and everyone spoke surprisingly good English. The menu is a decent size and many people order dishes that require a tableside burner. We ordered the naengmyeon in hot beef broth (onmyeon + beef back rib combo), plus maeun sulung tang (spicy ox bone soup with beef flank). The banchan kimchi tasted very fresh. Ice water was provided at the table. Portions were large and food pretty tasty, prices were also very reasonable. I wanted to try the onmyeon because I had never had naengmyeon in hot broth before, but admittedly naengmyeon noodles are much chewier when chilled (after all, the name means cold noodle). Delicious!! I came to Lee Ga for some late night eats. I have been to other places in the shopping center, but I think I missed this place. I came on a weekday, close to closing so I was able to park in the lot outside with no issues. But, I have been to the shopping center when busy and it can get quite busy, but there is valet, which is a plus. I was greeted by a server who was super nice. I opted for some cold noodles, dumplings and beef ribs. Cold noodles were delicious!! The broth was flavorful. Definitely will come back during the summer. The dumplings were a personal favorite of mine because it was juicy. The beef ribs were also very good, but I was pretty stuffed by that time, so I took it to go (it made a great meal for the next day).
