If you have not found Leon's then pick a morning and head over. Quiet and unassuming off a side street in Barrington, we always have a great meal. I am working my way through the menu but it is often hard to pass up the Smoked Pork belly eggs benedict. I had the Vegetable scramble with Chefs choice vegetables and it was cooked perfectly, with onions, mushrooms and asparagus. A couple of slices of Focaccia toast and coffee. Awesome. The Crispy French Toast is delicious as well. The Bacon is amazing. read more

Great little gem in Barrington. I recently ordered quiche for a party. The owner answered the phone on his day off, took my order and even made suggestions as to what might be a delicious quiche. Needless to say, my guests raved about it. It looked beautiful and tasted homemade. DELISH!! I've had lunch here several times and every time it is spot on. The interior has been redesigned with a nice bar and they now serve beer and wine. Chef Bill tells me they will start serving dinner again in May! I highly recommend this great cafe - service is excellent and you will not be disappointed with your meal. read more

We are in town for a family vacation. We were new customers at Leon's but chose it for the great reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor. It's just a small intimate cafe but cheery, clean and cute. The breakfast selections were wonderful, all tempting and not an overload to choose from. Just right! All homemade from scratch. I had the fresh corned beef hash with poached eggs, fresh home made home fried potatoes, fruit and a whole grained English muffin. My husband had a wonderful fresh garden omelette with great grade sausage patties. Out 2 adult sons had a grill sampler also yummy! Bill was very personable and watching him cook our breakfast was a treat. He obviously enjoys his craft! Don't miss this place for a great fresh meal! read more

Great little breakfast place! My favorite is the different omelette special every day. Today was a meat lovers. Limited menu but plenty of options. The seating is limited as well, but it is never an issue. All the food is amazing we have tried six different things and they all were yummy. Very friendly staff including owner who is out front cooking all the time. They do lunch and take out as well but I have never tried it. read more

Her culinary training from JW is evident. Eggs prepared right! Crunchy French toast w apple or berry compote is addictive. Service is excellent. If your waitress is a little inattentive it's likely because she's overwhelmed by the weekend crowd. Get over it and consider yourself lucky to have access to this level of fare in our little state. My partner and I happened to be in RI, looking for a nice place to have breakfast last week. From top to bottom, Leon's was a fantastic place to spend our morning. The service was incredible- attentive and friendly wait staff, speedy kitchen staff, and smiling faces all around. The food was honestly the best breakfast food we have ever consumed. I enjoyed the salmon scrambler which came with homemade bread and jam and perfectly cooked homefries. My partner had the classic Benedict which boasted an incredibly Bearnaise sauce which felt like it was made with love. We shared a homemade corned beef hash- crispy and flavorful to the last bite. Even the coffee was rich and bold. We don't live in the area, but have recommended Leon's to our family who do and we can't wait to return! So happy I stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered the grilled chicken pesto pannini and it was delicious. The sandwich was huge, enough for two people. A friend suggested we met here for lunch the other day and it was so good! On Waseca Ave in the center of Barrington, it's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth it. Plus their prepared foods look so great, I'll definitely be stopping in for dinner fixings on busy nights! read more

Would have given this place more stars, but they didn't have gluten-free toast options and asked for double home fries instead . My husband also had home fries with his breakfast. Our order size was the same. I asked if this was doubled, waitress said sorry and brought me more then charged me 4.50 for them. We had a group of 12 attending our monthly brunch meetup, and the food across the board was excellent. The wait staff were extremely attentive and the service overall was outstanding. Just got back from brunch at Leons Kitchenworks. It was outstanding! The toast made from bread baked in house was to die for and the hash was as good, if not better than any I have had before. Chef Bill Andrews was visible and accessible to answer any questions (not that the capable staff could not answer all questions) It was nice to pick the brain of a true chef. Stopped in for breakfast, and was largely ignored by the staff. The place was nearly empty, and when I finally got the owner/chef's attention, he proceeded to point to the sign above my head that indicated take out orders, in a short tempered and rude fashion. Leons catered my husband's birthday. Passed hors d'oeuvres were terrific. Scallops wrapped in bacon, bruschetta, pulled pork sliders. Guests were actually watching servers enter room so they could grab their next choice. Main course carved ham, Turkey and filet all gorgeous . Roasted vegetables were fresh, varied and excellent . Kerry and Kyle were servers. They were savvy, gracious and paid attention to details. Bill Andrews, chef and owner was, as always, a master. And as they left, I saw that the kitchen was perfect and leftovers carefully wrapped in frig. The best! read more

By far the freshest best food in the area. Brunch is incredible - always has been dating back 30+ years at previous locations. Getting well known again so it is busy on Sundays. Get in early. Lovely breakfast! Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs and nicely flavored Béarnaise. It could have used a bit more sauce and some kind of garnish as the plate looked bare. Potatoes were really good. Not too salty. Coffee was exceptional. It is a really cute place and we were able to be seated right away. Ample parking. Now for the tough part... I would definitely return, however would think twice simply because the music that was playing was horrible and way too loud for a Sunday morning. Anita Baker and Quincy Jones and Michael MacDonald blasting. An 80's/90's soundtrack that would surely appeal to only a select few. I would recommend playing something much more chill and neutral - and at a lower volume. I could tell that we were not the only ones annoyed by the Pandora playlist. First off if you haven't been in to see Bill you have to go. Kitchenworx is extremely good because Bill is a very talented Chef. Everything from salads to his main course meals have been carefully put together. He makes food to go or eat in. Seeing that I'm trying to lose weight I'm extremely sensitive to salt and after I have one of his meals I don't feel like I've just been through a franchise factory and fed Chicken that was pumped full of salt. Hands down, the best breakfast in Barrington. The menu is simple, and short, making it easy to decide. The french toast was the best I've ever had. Two different types of eggs benedict, both amazing. And the mixed grill was out of this world. Service was also fantastic. There are only two things I'd change. The coffee was terrible. Watered-down, dunkin-donuts flavor stuff. For a little extra $, they should at least get a rich deep roast, and double the amount of beans in their brew. It could be the water, too, but the coffee was unfortunately the worst I've ever had. The only other thing was the jams and jellies. Grape jelly doesn't do the amazing breakfast any justice. The toast was perfect. To slather smucker's jelly on it is to slap its buttery face. If they at least get some berry preserves, it'll be a huge step up. That's it. This place is amazing. I'll be back again and again. read more
