Leon's is a hidden gem for breakfast or lunch. It never disappoints. That said, if you ever need high quality catering for any size event, Bill and crew are awesome!!! Everything from entrees to salads. It is all great. Every time a guest asked for the recipe I had to respond "You'll have to ask Bill at Leon's." This is the second event they have catered for us and we'll bring them back for a 3rd.

On a day where we had business in Barrington, hubby found Leon's for breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast person, so it's a challenge for us to agree on breakfast foods, but I'm always willing to give a new place a try and see if they have something we can both enjoy. When we arrived, there was ample parking and ample seating inside, so we took a seat at the bar. It was a Saturday morning, and despite being peak breakfast time, we were only one of two tables occupied which I thought was weird. If this was on aquidneck island, the place would be PACKED at this time on this day, but I was happy to not have to wait in line and be rushed about with tourists. After looking over the menu, we decided to order a few items and give them all a try. We started with the crunchy French toast, the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes, and the potato latke/pancakes with applesauce and sour cream. The French toast was indeed crunchy, but was a little dry and boring on the inside. The biscuits were fine, and the potato cakes were good but not great. Service was really slow given how few people were there, and how many people were working in the kitchen. Also, I thought it was weird and a little intrusive that if you want to use the bathroom, you have to literally walk through the whole kitchen, which made me uncomfortable. Overall, a decent breakfast, but definitely not worth the wait or the drive. It's always good to try new places, but this is not on the top of the list of places I want to return to for breakfast. Prices are ok, but not reflective of the quality or flavor of their dishes. Side note, they were planning super oldie moldy music pretty loud, and that was another mark against them in my book...not even good old music, and definitely not "get you in the mood for breakfast" music.

One of the best Omelets I've ever had! The flavor was delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

The best Omelet ever fresh ingredients packed with flavors. The service was great and I definitely recommend

Let me start by saying wow. When you walk in you will notice a very nice, well kept little restaurant. I sat at the bar and watched re-runs off Frazier that they have taped, very cool idea. Let's start with the coffee, it's the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Then the homemade toast and the homemade corned beef hash. Awesome. Home fries perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Best breakfast I have ever had

Tt has everything you'd want from a great coffee shop: comfortable seating, plenty of room to spread out and work, a rentable conference room, and something you would not expect from a coffee shop, the Aurora Bar, stocked with a nice selection of local spirits and other favorites. My partner and I stopped in for a quick nibble for lunch on Sunday and this was perfect. My partner went with the Caprese sandwich, which is served on a pressed ciabatta with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto mayo, and balsamic. It was simple and tasty, and I was lucky enough to get a couple bites! I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was also simple, but packed with flavor. It had all the obvious ingredients with the addition of pickles, which added such a nice briny little punch and really hit the spot. Something worth noting: both of our items were ordered from the laminated menu at the register, not in the beautiful leather-bound Aurora Bar menu, which appears to be an evening menu with cocktails and other tasty food items. For drinks, I went with an espresso tonic; the slight bitterness of the quinine plays really nicely against the bold espresso, and it's one of those combinations that's refreshing in a way that's hard to explain until you try it. One small note for the team: the Riverside location has always had a real warmth and cohesion to the staff that I haven't quite felt at Bristol. It's not a dealbreaker by any stretch, but a little more energy behind the counter would go a long way. Still a five-star spot, as the coffee and the space more than make up for it.

Yesterday I went in for my coffee that I've been drinking for the past 35 years: two shots of espresso with a splash of oat milk over ice. A staff member came out from the back and began yelling at me at the counter. I am a faculty member at Roger Williams and I was there with a student and line was to the door behind me. "that's a latte! you're just being cheap! I know its a Tik Tok Hack!" I'm 56. I've never been on Tik Tok. I wasn't trying to "hack" anything. I just wanted a splash of oatmilk in my $4 2 oz coffee. I told her I didn't know what she was going on about ridiculing in front of everyone in the restaurant. Then, she rolled her eyes and told me "I'll give you a thimble-full. That's it.!" My coffee came out completely black. She didn't even put enough in to change the color. seriously, what is wrong with people? if I was not there with the Student, I would have walked out.

We needed a reservation for the bar seating because the limited tables were all booked. Reservations are a must days in advance. We tried three different appetizers, grilled cauliflower, steamers, and grilled octopus. We were very pleased with all three dishes. Flavor popped on every bite. For entrees we had the Nola Style Shrimp N' Grits, Folklore Burger, Salmon and Chicken Bowl specials. The Portuguese cooking style created mouth watering bites and succulent flavors. We were all very content, and full after our meals.

Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.
