Delicious food and drinks! I'm gluten free so it was nice to relax. We sat outside in the shaded patio and our server was warm and upbeat. The owner even stopped by to ask how we liked everything. My husband had the Bellini cocktail and I had the juniper cucumber Collins mocktail, very refreshing. We ordered the Mezza sampler as an appetizer and I was very happy with the pita bread. My husband couldn't tell the difference! The falafels and sambousek were tasty with a nice texture. My husband ate up the olives and the tomatoes. Horrible service... why you ask? Picture it. Your sitting there one nice person the man clearing the table, seats me and hands me my party's menus. I'm there early due to traffic but the ratings were the best reviews I've seen so I have to try it. I'm there 30 min early. My party gets there I had ordered water for the table as soon as I had gotten there. 45 min additional I'm trying to flag people down not trying to make it obvious to my guest that it is starting to get frustrating. I go up to the register and ask if I may place my order with her, she said our server will take our order and I did tell the miss it has been "quite some time since we've been sitting and I still have not seen our server." The family next to us was seated after us, given drinks and food before us. After asking for water for the 4th time they toss it on our table. They had the audacity to charge us an extra bowl of humus we ordered and never got. The rating was probably put there by the owners or the snobbish ladies working on February 15th 2026 from the day shift hours of 11am to 4 pm. All that and we still gave these ungrateful folks a tip. OMG they have a parking lot! What a wonder for this part of town! It's a shared passing lot for the plaza, but a lot more spaces than I would have guessed from the outside. I parked on the street because I didn't know, but never time I will use the lot! Amazing. The space is bigger than expected, very nice, bright and beautifully appointed. This is an upscale casual place, imo. They have a nice generous space outdoor patio in a shady alcove with umbrellas & trees. I would definitely eat out there on a less windy day than the one I dined here on. I came at an off hour and basically had the staff all to myself everyone who helped me put checked on me was very kind, friendly, knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I got the goat cheese & fig flat bread and the shawarma hummus. The shawarma is grass fed and it was SO delicious. I'd get that again in a heartbeat! Excellent spices all around and came with a choice of vegetables or pita, so I chose the veggies, which were carrot & celery sticks. The fig & goat cheese flat bread was too sweet for me - a dessert flatbread! If you love fig and sweet things, tho, this is definitely for you! They were generous with all the toppings. There was a ton of fig on there and lots of walnuts, which I loved. The flatbread dough was so good, though. Did not taste gluten free at all. Lovely texture and flavor. I would try other more savory flat breads here in the future! So happy to have more and more fully alternative diets restaurants available where I can relax knowing that I don't have to read ingredients as carefully or ask as many questions... Ordered lunch for pick-up today, and I will without a doubt be frequently coming back to Levant Bistro moving forward. Getting to experience a fully gluten-free and soy-free restaurant was such a gift with my dietary restrictions. It is a rarity that I am able to order what I want on a menu. My husband and I both had the chicken tawook wraps and shared an order of falafel. The wrap itself was so amazing. It was pillowy soft with a delicious chew. The chicken inside was cooked to perfection and was a generous portion. I also really appreciate that the chicken is organic and non-gmo. I admittedly am picky about my falafel, but the falafel here was amazing. The best texture I've had and not oily at all. Levant's pricing is very fair for the quality of ingredients. We did not have extensive experience with the service since it was a pick-up order, but we were warmly welcomed by staff when we came in for our order. While visiting in LA - I was looking for the best gluten free lunch and I found it! The food was amazing. I have been celiac for 15 years and the cheesy garlic bread was incredible. I wish I lived closer - I would be there all the time. I was by myself and sat at the bar. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some of his favorites as I was completely overwhelmed by having too many choices - the entire menu is gluten free. Some other people were there celebrating a birthday and I think it would be perfect place for someone with dietary restrictions as you could order a gluten free cake. I got the eggplant sandwich, and while not enthralling, was pretty. The bakery items --- worth saving space for!!! Lots of vegan goodies too. The parking lot is kinda a scene, but if patient you can nab a spot. There is a Starbucks, Chipotle, and Hamburget Habit among other busy, high turnover businesses. The outdoor patio is absolutely lovely -- olive trees, warm sunlight, and an easy, relaxed vibe that makes it the perfect spot for lunch. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food is fresh, flavorful, and great for sharing. We ordered a spread of appetizers, flatbreads, and entrées -- everything came out beautifully presented and piping hot. The mezze sampler, artichoke flatbread, halloumi, and fattoush salad were all standouts. I'd skip the fig and goat cheese flatbread next time -- it leaned a little too sweet for my taste. The drinks here are just as thoughtful as the food. The lavender honey latte over ice was a total crowd pleaser -- lightly floral, not too sweet, and super refreshing. I came here with my niece, who is gluten sensitive. She had eaten here before and was excited to try it again. Too bad we never got the opportunity. We walked in and waited for someone to seat us. And waited. And waited. No one acknowledged our existence. There was one waiter taking the order for a large group, one waiter flitting about uselessly refilling water glasses, and someone behind the counter making drinks and cashing out customers. We finally asked her if someone could seat us, and even then it still took a few more minutes. When someone finally did show up from the back, he tried to seat people who had arrived after us first. We were frustrated by the inattentiveness, but still planned to order. That is, until the guy who seated us went over to the table of the people who came after us and immediately started chatting them up, taking their order, and asking if they wanted water. He left to get their water without so much as a glance at our table. Okay. Fine. We were still going to order, especially since the waiter did end up bringing us water for our table and since the woman who had been behind the counter stopped by our table with a friendly demeanor to give us recommendations. The final straw, however, was when the guys who arrived after us got their appetizers before our order had even been taken AND when we looked at the water bottle. The pic I posted isn't very clear, but the bottle had rusted looking medal and some kind of gunk around the top. Yech. Hard pass. We ended up just leaving. They have their full menu on their website and more information about what they work to keep their food free of. Not only is everything gluten-free but the bread is made IN HOUSE making it hands down the best quality! The weather was perfect for an al fresco lunch and I appreciated that their outdoor seating had plenty of well placed umbrellas/shade! Everything was delicious. I was looking for a new restaurant that offers gluten free options, and discovered Levant Bistro. Their cuisine is Lebanese inspired and everything on the menu is gluten free. I saw a few of their beef options are grass fed as well. It is rare to find a restaurant that truly cares about health. I walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday night, the place was not very crowded. I could easily get a table inside or outside. They have a really nice patio in the back. The waitress was very nice and answered my questions about the menu. I ordered two flatbreads: lahmajeen and zaatar. Both were really good and tasted authentic. The zaatar comes with cucumber, tomato and mint, and the lahmajeen comes with a cucumber yoghurt sauce. I am excited to go back and try more of their dishes! read more

This place popped up while looking for healthy gluten free options in the area. I was a little skeptical at first as many places fail to make gluten free tasty but Levant did not let me down! The place is decorated nicely and has a decent sized patio perfect for the awesome California weather. Everything on the menu is gluten free which is awesome. We ordered the garlic bread to start off along with orange and mango mimosas. The mimosas were great and so was the garlic bread! I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the gluten-free bread. I loved the vibe of the place. The inside has a great open floorplan with a good amount of space all around. There's also outdoor seating, but will note that the chairs aren't very comfortable. I was able to try the falafel, labneh, goat cheese & fig flatbread, and salmon! Each dish had their own little twist, e.g. the rice that they serve has warming spices (like cinnamon, cardamom) which was really unique in a good way, but a little bit dry. The falafel appetizer (& main entree) is served with sauce drizzled on them, which I didn't like. I think it would be a better option to ask for the sauce on the side, so that you can distinguish the different flavors. It also came with only three pieces, which is a bit of a disappointment. The real star of the show was the flatbread. It was served on a pita bread and sweet/salty combination from the goat cheese & fig spread & walnuts worked really well together. read more

One of the best dining experiences I've had in LA for a long time. First of all the setting: lovely, cozy restaurant with a beautiful whitewashed outdoor patio with olive trees to enjoy in the warmer months. The service from our lovely waiter Lorenzo was excellent: friendly, attentive, patient, helpful and very welcoming. And the food!!! Delicious middle eastern fare that is both original and creative. With a wide selection of beads and freshly baked pastries. Finally a fully GLUTEN FREE restaurant with no risk whatsoever of cross contamination. As a parent of a teenager recently diagnosed with celiac I want to say a big thank you to the owners for this fantastic place. Let me preface this by sharing that recently I discovered that medically I'm gluten and dairy intolerant, which is a bummer when it comes to being a foodie, especially when eating out. However, that's even more reason why I'm grateful for restaurants like Levant Bistro that devote itself to being entirely gluten free which is rare and unheard of for an ethnic restaurant. You mean I don't have to worry about ANYTHING on the menu for once? That's amazing, right there! It's sad that most people don't understand the challenges that come with that and think you're just on some dietary trend unless you have Celiac disease or your lactose intolerant. There's such a thing as preliminary folks, and it's what makes Levant Bistro a valuable gem in the community. Asides from that, the meats they use are grass-fed, almost unheard of in other ethnic restaurants. They even have indicators on the menu to notify you if something is nut free (nf), gluten free (gf) or dairy free (df). It cuts down on the extensive explanation you have to make to a waiter and gives the customers the power of choice. Yes, it contributes to a higher price point per entree but why should we not invest more into our own health? The atmosphere inside is pleasant and nice. The waiters are friendly and the food is flavorful! I'm a fan of the "Off the Grill" entree. I can't stop ordering it, in fact. It's such a good balance of meat, rice, and plant-based sides and I'm not vegetarian or vegan so the meat options, in my opinion, are yummy. I'd like to explore more on the menu, but I think they're off to a great start and I hope they remain. read more

If you are looking for something lighter or a starter dish to share, this is a good option. The amount of dip is quite little. My personal favorite was the babaghanoush as it had a good balance of smoky and nutty flavors. The hummus was watery and disappointing. I was not a huge fan of the bread as it tasted gummy.
