When we arrived the restaurant was 90% empty yet we were told there was a 20 minute wait Two minutes later we were seated. We ordered our food and had to wait a long time for our drinks and bread. Then the waiters assistant came to our table with the wrong order and even after telling her it wasn't our order she questioned us and asked if we were sure we didn't order the food she brought. When our food did arrive our salads weren't prepared properly, our potatoes were done wrong and our desserts weren't available the way we requested even though we ordered them as advertised. We were never offered a refill on any of our drinks. The staff were all young and obviously very inexperienced. The manager was no help to them. My husband and I visited this location for our date night but became fairly disappointed upon finding a piece of raw meat in our DRINK. As he was finishing his coke while we waited for food he found a piece of raw meat end fat piece in his ice BEFORE our food came out. Decided to just switch drinks and glass and not make a big fuss or completely leave. Server kind of brushed it away and quickly brought us a new (very washed) cup. Food was okay, husbands steak was better than mine as I ordered medium rare but was VERY tough. Blooming onion was top notch and can't complain about that! Should've went to Sizzler. I've had a couple bad experiences, but that was years ago and 500 miles away back home. This was and will be our last visit to the Outback! There was this funky smell like sewage, that made for an unpleasant experience. We're seated allllllll the way in the back near the kitchen so the smell got a little better. I ordered Mac and cheese balls for the kids and fried mushrooms for myself. I would've enjoyed the fired mushrooms had they been fried lol. They came out mushy and wet. Kids said 5/10 for Mac and cheese balls. I ordered the kings land steak and shrimp pasta Alfredo, steak medium well. The pasta tasted as if it were drowned in butter I couldn't even eat it. My steak was too pink for me I had to ask for my dish to be removed from the bill. Kids didn't seem impressed my son didn't even finish his salmon. I chose not to have the plate made a 3rd time as the manager told me they had an allergy menu, but that was what I ordered off of! they just kept bringing me incorrect food. We were told they would comp my meal and my child's meal for the inconvenience. That wasn't true. they also manipulated the check so the 2 adult meals were $97 when the meal deal states what we ordered was $27 and even with add ons this didn't make sense. the horrific person named Alyssa from the bar who claimed to be a supervisor got angry after I made her add it up on the phone and it stil didn't make sense. She ripped the check from my hands and yelled at us telling us to never come back. and trust if these are standards that this company has I'll never step foot here again. to try and manipulate a check to ensure they still made their money is sick! we spent 2.5 hours in this location and they couldn't get anything right as the restaurant was nearly empty! to be yelled at by an unprofessional clearly untrained person who used us as her punching bag is truly the nightmare of any family on vacation. It's clear she doesn't understand etiquette between a costumer and their server. She didn't have the patience to wait less than 45seconds to figure out what table a plate she had, went to. So we came in specificly for the koala drink we had learned about. Unfortunately they didn't have any more koalas :( but it was okay! The server made a funny joke and said "sorry we don't have any more koalas the sharks ate them" and my group and I were both sad that we had sharks in our drink . We also had the blooming onion which was amazing! And also the potato soup was so good also!!! The food was amazing and the service was amazing. The only bummer part was we got charged for water but they fixed it! And they kept just trying to push us out after we paid, but we were still enjoying the bits of our food we had left. My steak and lobster were extremely salty and overcooked. I asked for a medium rare but got a medium well steak that tasted like liver. The manager was "nice" enough to comp that meal for us but we also found a piece of fried hair in the Blooming Onion (appetizer) while my husband was packing the leftovers to go. Both times the manager looked at us like we were a couple of freeloaders or highschoolers when in reality we felt sick. Sorry, having hair in your food is disgusting. And for a $30 dollar plate, I would want my steak cooked right or pretty close to it. Judging by the manager's reaction I'm sure he is fine with having hair strands in his food. All he did was rudely take the food away with no apology and still charge us for the appetizer. Overall it was horrible customer service. And horrible management. The date night started off nicely but ended horribly. It could have easily been fixed with at least some understanding and an apology. Steering clear away from here. The quality of food has declined and the costs have risen.....significantly. A bad combination. I don't mind a modest increase if the quality stays the same. The shrimp was small, flimsy, and lacked flavor. Steak quality has also gotten worse. The service was extremely slow. I saw at least 2 tables equal to ours in size that arrived after us served before us. Yes, some people pay attention to that. I am a patient person but only to a point. My wife asked if I wanted to go to Outback tonight, I said no. I will not be back at this location or any other in the future. We will be dining elsewhere. Due to picky eaters we cannot order online (you can't request no onions and such). We had some issues with the temperature of the food, due to the the incorrect time I was given over the phone through the third party... Visiting California for the weekend and stopped at Outback Steak House for dinner... The environment is welcoming, clean and the staff are friendly. The service is average and could benefit from making sure drinks are kept filled. We got our drinks and a pickle sized bread and butter (it was cute like a mini hotdog bun). I ordered the Kingsland Pasta with steak and shrimp ($27.00) a potato bacon cheddar soup and a house salad with ranch dressing. The server was pleasant and took my order exactly as I asked for it (the steak was well done) the shrimp however where under cooked and the pile of pasta was overcooked (extremely soft) with a bland sauce. No matter what I added salt, pepper, grilled onions or A1 steak sauce I just couldn't make it taste decent enough to eat it. The ranch dressing was equally tasteless and although they were very generous with the amount...it simply did not make my list. My restroom guy (my son, I swear this guy spends more time in the restroom of every restaurant we visit anywhere in the world than your average person) reported that the restroom needed to be cleaned...he gave it an F (for filthy). Now, the Iced tea was delicious (needed ice and more refills) but had a very good taste, the water also had a great taste. The portions were rather small for the price and didn't mirror or match the taste of our drinks. I did NOT complain but did mention to our server that I did not like the pasta and why as a simple observation. She came back and had it removed from my bill. It was not my intention but I do appreciate her proactive response to my feedback. Had read some of these reviews before going to dinner and saw mention of a server named "Face" over and over. So it was almost like meeting a celebrity when our host said "your server's name is Face"! And let me tell you, he did not disappoint! Very attentive If you haven't been out in a while due to Covid, I would highly suggest coming here for dinner because the whole crew will make sure to take care of you!
