Here is a very delicious bakery and I will always come here for their baguette du chef! It's their signature bread that tastes good with sandwiches, balsamic vinegar and olive oil and just about anything you want to eat it with! My mom and dad love this place and my wife and I finally went. Ironically, we have visited the Glassell location in Old Town Orange twice, but only to buy gelato for our kids. The gelato was good. This trip was different -- my wife and I arrived in the morning with plans for breakfast. The location is nice and the interior was calm and relaxing. Staff was super friendly. Many patrons were sitting and enjoying their morning coffees. My wife had a flavored iced latte drink, which was sweet and my wife liked it. I had the cold brew coffee, but I can't recommend it -- it's very weak (i.e. watered down). For another dollar, I'd much rather go to Starbucks or even Blk Dot Coffee nearby. We shared the almond croissant and it was incredible! Buttery, flaky, and sweet -- adjectives you could use for any other croissants, but this was something special. I love food and it's rare that a meal (or croissant) is mind blowing. This was one of those times. If you're reading this, go buy the croissant! Foodwise, my wife had the eggs and beans and I had the Florentine benedict. The eggs and beans was pretty different, almost soupy. Imagine pouring a can of beans (juice and all) and covering it with eggs, cheese, and some greens. There you go. My wife wasn't too into it, but I thought it was ok - it's a simple meal, but not bad. In her defense, it's tough to enjoy that meal after a sweet croissant with a sweet coffee drink. My Florentine benedict was pretty good, but pretty much what you would expect. It came with a little salad. In the end, one iced coffee and one latte drink, a croissant, and two breakfasts we spent $41.72. Not cheap, but not crazy either. My summary -- go for the croissant! Happy to see a new location for this chain, and being so close to our house! The only downside is that like their other location in old town Orange, there is very little outdoor seating! I was disappointed to see my favorite crepe was not on the menu. I can't tell you the name, it was some French saying that I couldn't even pronounce, but it was delicious! It had cheese and the right veggie mix to make it a perfect savory crepe. I ordered the ratatouille crepe, which was fine, but I liked my husband's choice better. He ordered the artichoke, spinach, mushroom, and cheese crepe. It was really good! We also ordered some fries and Gelato for our daughters. They loved the Gelato and honestly the fries were pretty good! I will be visiting this location again because it is so close to our home. And this chain has the best crepes in the OC in my opinion. I really wanted to like Pandor. The pastries and food here are actually quite delicious. However, my dining experiences were less than enjoyable. Seating inside is cramped and outdoor seating is limited. Not to mention, tables outside are right on the edge of the sidewalk. I could feel the heat radiating from the car running right next to our table. Also, I wish there was plexi glass along all of the counter, especially at the drink order pick up section. I saw that my drink was sitting on the counter without a lid on it while another customer and the barista (both unmasked) talked to each other, each speaking directly above my drink. I know that restrictions have lessened, but establishments should still take some precautions for health and safety when possible. I'm not sure about coming back, but if I do I will take my order to go. read more

If you have lived in Irvine in the last decade or two, you are probably familiar with a little French bakery called Champaign Bakery. Pandor is like CB's ostentatious cousin - fancier setting, more expansive menu. We started with the OMG latte- and OMG is right! It is very sweet and fancy. The drink comes with a layer of Creme Brûlée with a dollop of whipped cream on top, and a little piece of OMG cream cheese bar on the side. This drink is more of a dessert. We also got a matcha latte and it was pretty good as well. We also got the Croque Madame and the Newporter. They are basically the same thing, just on different bread. The Newporter comes on a croissant, where as the Croque Madame comes on a slice of Provencal loaf. Both are delicious and fresh, and portion is pretty fair. There are several tables out for outdoor seating, where you can bring pooches for a nice outing. read more

Came late on a Sunday morning and the place was hopping. Line to order but it moved pretty quickly. A little disorganized getting coffee orders - communication flow from cashier to person making coffee drinks. I had a regular coffee and had to ask for it twice because the order seemed to get lost. Not a huge deal, just kinda annoying considering I hadn't ordered anything fancy. Had the farmer's omelette with a salad as the side. Food was good. Not outstanding, but good. Will try something different next time. Service was slow but that is to be expected considering how many were there. Desserts looked really good. I have been going to this place regularly since they opened. The manager/ owner is extremely RUDE and knows nothing about customer service ! I ordered an expresso and asked to please wait a few minutes to make it untill my food order was ready ,which I always do and the other baristas accommodate . In concept, this is a terrific menu item, but the execution left something to be desired. The croissant was stale and very hard to cut even with the knife. Since we were there last time when it first opened, we had been going there quite frequently. Literally once a week. With Covid19 pandemic every restaurant has suffered some set back. I have to say that I am very proud of the consistency of quality and taste of the very best European bakery store in Irvine. Only thing is that they still have a long wait time and too often they are training new employees. It seems there is only one lady who knows how things are running and maybe two others who are still learning simple cash register operations. The honey lavender latte is delicious, not too sweet. I can taste the espresso, and it's not too milky. The vegetable panini was just all right. The shoestring fries were not memorable. I ordered a French press and tried the Lebanese breakfast because it sounded different. The Lebanese breakfast comes with three eggs any style, a Lebanese-tasting sausage patty, mixed greens, olives, cucumbers, cheese, and crusty bread. My husband ordered the Croque Madame, which is an open-faced sandwich with ham, cheese, and egg. That was tasty too. The multigrain bread is a must here!!! The bread is extremely soft (stays soft for a few days!!) & it's so delicious! Perfect to slice into in the morning for breakfast with avocados and eggs or even to nibble on throughout the day! It's so yummy and chewy that you might be tempted to eat half the loaf in one sitting. They're known for their almond croissants; however, I thought they were too buttery and dense. There is an overwhelming amount of almond filling inside - so if you're into that, then the croissant may be more enjoyable! The pain au chocolate was also just okay.
