1/30 Came to one of our fav spots for some ayce sushi . We were greeted immediately and sat . Came about 8pm they close at 9. Our waitress Carley was amazing and took care of the 5 of us. Service was fantastic as usual and sushi came out quick . Sushi was delicious as usual too. We were the last to leave at 9 after they closed. Great evening . Enjoy !!!!

Some cooked rolls- I don't remember their names but all 3 were amazing! I ordered spicy ones.

I called about 30 minutes before they closed to place a to go order. They were super nice and accommodating. The food was ready (even cooked rolls!) in about 10 minutes. They have a great to go special of 3 rolls for only 24! Such a good deal and the sushi was delicious. I usually go to kumo but they're always like almost unbearably busy. I called them first and they said they cannot take a to go order 45 minutes before closing bc they're too busy. I feel I found a great less busy version of kumo. Portions were good (I ate a few pieces before taking the picture!) and sushi was delicious and fresh. Packaged well. They gave us plenty of soy sauce and wasabi. I will be back. I think I found my new relaxed sushi spot.

My nephew's in town visiting--always such a treat! After work, we were craving sushi and needed a nearby spot, and Pieces Sushi hit the mark perfectly. We arrived around 2:00 PM and got seated right away (a perk of going off-hours--I bet dinner gets busy!). Service was fast and friendly, and our sushi arrived in record time, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The dining area was spotless, with plenty of seating and just the right lighting to keep things cozy and relaxed. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the roll selection was a bit limited, and I couldn't find any hand rolls on the menu. Would I go back? Absolutely! It's definitely worth another visit--next time, maybe for dinner!

Great restaurant with decent sushi. My personal preference is to order pick up (they have pick up specials which is a great deal!) For someone who doesn't need to consume all you can eat, you can order 4 rolls for $30, take it home and have a date night with a movie! The restaurant is always very busy whenever we pick up which is a good sign. My favorite roll is the tornado and my husband's is the Saturday night!

The sushi was good. Was it excellent? Was it the freshest? Was it shipped in this morning? (Reno is only a 3 hour drive from San Francisco, especially in the early morning.) the answer is no. It was all frozen or canned. They have room to improve. The server was hands off. I get it Japanese theme. They did pace the plates (good!). Will I return? Yes. Go grab some sushi and expect...not seaside.

Ordered to-go. Todoay. We arrive home - no ginger. No wasabi. Didn't ask if we would like any. We called the restaurant. The lady asks "what moms your name," then proceeds to tell you us..yeah. It should have come with it. Sorry. We won't be back.

We tried this place once around 3 or 4 years ago and at that time were not impressed. Despite this place being literally less than a 5 minute drive from our home we finally returned (on a whim; my son insisted he wanted to try it). This time was totally different. To make sure before posting this review we went once more-- both of these visits (once for dinner and once for AYCE at lunch) were great. The food was fresh, the rolls were light (we are not fans of dense rice in our rolls), and the prices were reasonable. While each roll we tried was unique we agreed that many of the rolls tasted extremely similar. My son loved the pot stickers (4 pieces for $4 à la carte). I will say service could be tightened up a bit (was a bit slow at times, would have been nice to have napkin refills and water refills as needed-- especially at a table with young children). The cleanliness was satisfactory but there were sone rips in the bench seat. Overall, this isn't the very best sushi place is Reno but it's not bad. It's a good enough option if it's close and you don't want to drive across town or deal with longer waits.

A great deal for takeaway! 4 rolls just $30 is unbeatable. Great for a quick dinner for two. We've perfected our order with the eponymous pisces roll, the avocado based amazon roll, the zodiac and the MT. Pisces always uses fresh ingredients and pretty decent fish. I specifically order rolls that don't have too much imitation crab or cream cheese. The crunch in the zodiac is great. Pisces really hits the spot if you're looking for sushi that is quick and reliable.

I've had a lot of AYCE sushi at a variety of places but this was my first time at Pisces. What I loved? A limited but inclusive menu with just the right number of rolls to choose from. Also, like most sushi places there are going to be a few rolls that you will love and I certainly found a few here. Service was fast and efficient however we did briefly get served someone else's rolls. Thankfully we caught it and they were able to redirect them to the right people. We had to wait for a forgotten Cotton Candy but when it arrived, it became a favorite. A little crunch with a lot of flavor. They put a LOT of crab mix on the rolls that come with them but I was amused by a rainbow roll that literally came with a pile of crab mix on the plate. Most of the food was fresh. The seating was nice and comfortable and it has a welcoming atmosphere. I can see why it's my friend's favorite place. A little pricey but they don't use too much rice and they are pretty quick with your food, even if you don't sit at the bar. Yummy Mochi in three flavors!

It has been at least 3 years since we've eaten at Pisces Sushi; the restaurant's decor has remained unchanged or changed very little and was still fairly empty when we arrived for lunch last Saturday, but the staff seemed completely different, all the sushi chefs behind the bar and waitresses looked unfamiliar to me. Nevertheless, we had a seat at a table and proceeded to order drinks, appetizers and sushi. The service was efficient and modestly friendly. Most of our orders arrived at our table quickly, even the baked long rolls. All the food was well-crafted and we devoured every single morsel with the utmost relish. Overall, I would say our dining experience was very positive and I look forward to dining here again.

Incredible every single time. We love Pisces and enjoy our visits whether we go for lunch or dinner. Both prices for AYCE are reasonable and worth everything that is included. The service is excellent, the space is clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere. Our absolute favorite things are probably the appetizers and then the Nigiri. I am obsessed with the Mickey Mouse and the Donald Duck. And there are many rolls we enjoy such as the Lemon Light, and Eclipse. The Eclipse is a deep fried roll with shredded crab, salmon and onion. The Lemon Light is under Maki rolls and is cream cheese, avocado, tempura shrimp, salmon, thin slices of lemon, and shredded crab. These are definitely a favorite for us. And I forgot to mention, but the Miso soup is perfect and very comforting. If you haven't been they are absolutely worth a try. Much love to the Pisces crew!

A delicious place to grab all you can eat sushi. There wasn't really a plate I ordered that I disliked. The atmosphere is that of many sushi restaurants around town, but the real star of the show was the funny cook behind the glass that was telling jokes and adding quips to every order made. The only issue I had was that they added three extra drinks to the tab we didn't order. Overall the staff is fun and light hearted, the food is Delicious and the location is in a nice area. Just make sure to check your bill before paying.

During COVID, Pisces started offering takeout roll discounts and (it's 2025) and they still do it! I fully recognize I might not be the normal customer because I've only dined in once and it was before 2020. However, Pisces is my south Reno sushi spot! I call ahead and order four rolls for takeout. They always answer the phone and give a reasonable expected timeline of when the food will be ready. Then I go and pick it up. Half of the time, they greet me by my name. The staff is always very friendly and the sushi rolls travel well. We do this pretty often and I appreciate that I have a consistent experience each time from ordering, to pickup, to taste and quality. 4 rolls is about perfect for dinner at home for two. It fills us up and also keeps us from over-indulging on in-restaurant AYCE!

The time it was just my husband and I was so slow. We also sat down as the second table. They had a full staff and it took the longest. The food is good. I rate the roles at a 3, but note. I like simple sushi. So I tried the rolls just to try and see what they taste like. Its good if you like likes of flavor. It removes what people say is the fishy taste. I love the taste of fish. So I typically lean towards nigiri. I will amdit their sashimi salad as a 5/5. I loved it. I thought we could order 1 per round, but thats not the case. Look at the menu and its once per visit. The salmon hand roll is a 1 for me. It was not very crispy and hard to power through. So I dont recommend that, but they do a roll of it. So if you share with friends it might be worth while. The Niger I rate a 3.5/5. There was a lot of rice, but they also give a good size slice of fish. What got me was it didn't have that crisp taste when I ate it. Its hard to explain. The food quality is good. Don't get me wrong. Just the service and my simple taste buds. Its very popular and many locals love it. The lady was very sweet, when we got to speak with her. So don't let my rating and my taste buds hinder you from eating here. So give them a try.

As I sit at the bar with salmon eggs popping in my mouth, I think: life is good, but not perfect,…read moresame for Tokyo Sushi. Most times I come alone an hour before closing and get a seat at the bar almost immediately even with groups on the waiting list. This visit, I was astonished to find 36 people on the waitlist with only an hour left so had to wait a bit. At that late point they hand out order sheets while you're waiting, which for diehard groups seated shortly before closing means placing a MEGA order as soon as you sit down, followed by a rushed scarfing-down session as the staff begins closing up shop. The menu is quite large with heavy overlap with the menus at most other AYCE places. Roll selection is good and popular, as I look to either side, I'm appreciative of most patrons filling up on rolls commonly made with fake Krab (same stuff in frozen fish sticks), deep-fried ingredients, and generous applications of mayo and eel or teriyaki sauce. These cost the restaurant far less than a steady stream of nigiri, effectively subsidizing the roughly $120 worth of assorted nigiri I'm about to consume for about a third of that price. To each their own. The rice was perfectly seasoned and properly cooked, the most important part of sushi, though on one previous visit it leaned a bit too sweet. The fish tasted good, I wouldn't call it 'fresh' as most sushi fish comes frozen (except the Salmon and shellfish) so 'well thawed and not old' might be better description. The fish-to-rice ratio is better than at most competing spots. Service is usually decent but attentiveness can vary and lag when busy if you aren't assertive and use the call button or flag someone down. Also double check your credit card bill that a higher tip that you designated wasn't charged which happened to me once. The combination of a packed dining room, skewing on the young midtown crowd side, and upbeat music, makes the place LOUD and festive, with sports on two large-screen TVs. The downside is that carrying on a conversation in a larger group can be challenging. The bar refrigerator sits high enough that you can't really watch the chefs work, and when combined with the noise and possibly a language barrier, forget about chatting with the sushi chef. Food-wise, it's easy to place Tokyo Sushi in Reno's top three AYCE options, though you'll pay a few dollars more than average at roughly $45 per person with tax and tip as of June 2026. However its extreme popularity fills the parking lot and creates wait times capable of testing almost anyone's patience. Waiting over an hour during peak dinner service is not uncommon, and the crowded waiting area may leave you standing outside or sitting in your car. Hungry couples and groups may want to consider less busy alternatives, especially on a 90+ degree summer day or when winter "rolls" around.

Service I would give a 2 star. The chocolate icecream looks like it was be prescooped into the cups then put back in the freezer after it had melted a little. In the picture, you can see it was melted at some point and then refrozen. Makes the ice cream taste gross. I got passed by 7 different times before a waiter told me to put the ticket in the holder for someone to come get it. The server was going to put it in the holder and walk away without it until I mentioned I'd already been passed by several times, then he took it with a huff. In 2018 I gave this place a 5 star so I wanted to try it again with my mother and my son. A little disappointed. I'm willing to give it another chance but not anytime soon. I need the distaste of bad service to get out of my mouth before I return.

We were seated quickly. Now that can be attributed to the fact that we were early for dinner. We opted for a tabled, but there were plenty of seats available at the sushi bar. We only waited for a few minutes before the first wave of fish was delivered. Throughout dinner, we never had to wait long for the sushi to be delivered. The atmosphere was decent. It felt like it was more of a storefront than a traditional restaurant. But, it was a storefront and I don't care about that. I base my rating on freshness, service and cleanliness of the store. One thing that surprised me was the Kani (crab). I ordered it wondering if it would be real crab or imitation. It was real! I was happy and surprised. I ate my fill. Actually, I ate more than my fill. Enjoyed it completely. My sushi coma was justified. Freshness: 10 Service (dining time 3:30pm) : 10 Friendly: 9 (Anymore would be just awkward) Cleanliness: 10 Parking: 10 Bottom Line ------------------ Would I recommend O' A Sushi to friends and family? The card says, "Buy 10 meals and get the 11th free." It does not say that all 10 stamps have to be on the same physical card, and it does not say "no combining cards." The frustrating part is that the restaurant also did not ask us to keep using one existing card. On prior visits, they simply handed out new punch cards, which is how we ended up with multiple partially stamped cards in the first place. Then, when my wife and daughter tried to use the stamps together, the restaurant refused and said the 10 stamps had to be on one card. They spent about 10 minutes discussing it with staff, but the reward still was not honored. I understand restaurants can set whatever loyalty program rules they want, but those rules should be printed clearly on the card and applied consistently. As written, the customer-facing promise is that if you buy 10 meals, you get the 11th free. Refusing to honor multiple stamped cards, especially after handing out new cards on prior visits, felt unfair and created an unnecessarily negative experience. The food may be good, but this left a bad impression. If the policy is "one card only," they should print that clearly and stop handing out new cards when customers already have active ones.
