I had been using my son's Toyota Tacoma while I search for a new vehicle. I brought it in because the check engine light was on. I engine light was on. I needed: -synthetic oil change -transmission flush and filter - brake check/pad change - 150/175k mile service - just overall systems check. When I took the truck, I expected to leave with it. I spoke with Joe who knew the truck and has a passion for Tacoma's (thank you so much). He wanted to ensure to do a thorough job, so I said keep it as long as you need to. They were very accommodating. His manager took me over to the Hertz RAC and helped get me such a good rate. He also told me that the screening process his mechanics go through. I totally appreciate the process. Estimate was completed in good time, and service was impeccable. IMPECCABLE! I didn't realize who shabby it was running until after the service. It was noticeable. I also asked Joe for pointers on what kind of car to get. He gave such great insight, that I am a lot more confident about my search. Wanna know what he recommended? Ask him yourself! I can't speak enough about the care and customer service given. I wasn't spoken to like most mechanics speak to women. For me, that was everything! Prices are dramatically higher than dealership prices and include less. I was fooled by the good ratings and didn't look into this place enough. Some examples: $150 just the alignment another $288 for just the transmission fluid change....$250 for "fuel control system tune-up" and all on top of $120 for just an oil change. It just so happened I had a small window of time to get the oil change because I needed to get to another appointment unexpectedly that morning. It was one of those days where everything happened all at once, yet when Benjamin and Joe heard that I was desperate to get in and out, they were honest about the timeframe and ultimately made it happen for me, with a couple extra minutes to spare. AVOID!!! Unless you like getting disrespected. Nothing wrong with the repairing. But they do not give a crap of your time and customer experience. I had my car in for repairs. Took their offer of going to a local Hertz for a rental. They had a utility driver drove me there. It was all good until 3 days later. I went to pick it up after its done. They originally told me I could leave the rental car with them. But was told differently at the counter. So I had to drive back to Hertz and return it. Which Hertz was amazed that I didn't drop it off at the repair shop. Then the Hertz only had one employee working so they couldn't get me a ride. I called back to Placentia super to ask for a ride. They denied by saying no one was available and they never provided such service. They're saying Hertz does all the driving and told me to get an Uber ON MY OWN!!! I asked to spoke with the manager and the manager said he needed to talk to the Hertz agent. But all he did was making sure that Hertz bills me instead of Placentia super. Then he hung up on me when I got back on the phone trying sort out the situation. Hertz ended up called a nearby branch to get me a ride. Their agent even made sarcastic jokes about getting an Uber when I finally walked in 100 minutes later then I should. Took me 2 mins to complete the pickup. Since I looked pretty furious because I wasted almost two hours for nothing. The agent had to block my way out and "explain" that everything was Hertz's fault. Very convincing since Hertz tried to solve my problem when you guys makes fun of me and telling me to deal with it out of my pocket. Nothing wrong with the car so far. I guess you can come if you just want to get the car done and don't need to be treated as a normal human being. read more

Was quoted a pretty hefty tag so I called around and found places that did the same job for 2/300 less while having same ratings on yelp as other sites. Customer service great, pricing not so great. After our unpleasant visit, Benjamin (service center team member) texted me (had phone number from appt made on online) and he wanted to reach out and express his sincere apology as we noticed I walked out frustrated. He noted that they were short staff etc. And if we would give them one more chance. He promised our car would be taken right away and given an inspection and that he would call after the inspection. Update to my last review : brought my car in today because the dealership told me I needed a new catalytic converter (not a cheap fix) and something seemed fishy. So I brought it in to Joe (who I always deal with) and he showed me how their monitor reader works and what each of the 8 monitors showed and why they showed what they did. Turns out nothing was wrong with my car. The dealership lied. Thank you Joe for saving me $1800+ and patiently explaining things to me. Set up an appointment on their website and was able to make one within the hour, first thing on a Monday morning. My '07 Tahoe was starting to feel like it wanted to stall out and sounded horrible as I exited the freeway the evening before. Dropped it off at 8 am, and by 10 am I had a text with a link that took me to my inspection details and the health of my vehicle. It was noted with random misfire on cylinders #1 & #8, and recommendation said "need new motor". When I read that, I immediately called and spoke with Don. He then explained it at length with me. He said to him, it appears that a couple of the valve lifters collapsed and confirmed the cylinder misfiring. Worse case scenario a new motor that can be as expensive as $12K, but he couldn't be sure without taking it apart. Most of that price is labor. Which I had understood. Fast forward a few days.....turns out Don was RIGHT!!! While it was still about half of the original estimate, at least I didn't need a new motor. It was in fact the valve lifters and cylinder misfiring that was causing my vehicle to get sick. At first I had considered just not putting the money into it, however, I only have 75K miles on it, and I take really good care of the vehicle. Prices of new/used cars right now are nuts, and of course not having a car payment was considered. I am very happy with the work that was done, the ease of getting it there, looked at and fixed within a week, and especially the staff service of every employee I interacted with regarding this issue. Took my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 to Placentia Super Service (after calling for an early Saturday morning appointment) because my driver's side windshield wiper ceased working. Rain is forecast so this repair could not be deferred. They had a technician inspect the truck, without delay, and found that a bolt had come loose. Fixed it immediately. (While I was waiting for a courtesy ride back to my house) and then gave it back to me without a charge. Very pleased.
