    Poke Bowl

This is a great place for poke! I have been here many times, and finally took a picture of my food before just devouring it. The fish quality here is really fresh, and they have so many options. My typical order is yellowtail, albacore, and salmon and they all taste great. I also really love their variety of sauces and toppings. They give a generous about of food and the pricing is fair! The restaurant is small but there are a few tables inside. They also have a cooler that is always stocked with drinks. This is one of my favorite poke places in Orange County!

Very generous with their portions which is AWESOME! Quick and friendly service. High quality fish and variety of toppings!

Small hole in the wall place located in a semi-busy plaza. This place is more of a to-go since seating is limited. Their prices are great! I ended up getting a large but the large bowl looked more of a medium to me - fish scoops were small (even though it's 5 scoops of fish). Fish was fresh and cold. Brown rice was good. I like supporting small businesses! Come here if you can for poke!

Decided to come here for a poke bowl after seeing such great reviews. The pricing here is amazing. 5 proteins for $15 is a steal! the portions were good as well. I am only bummed that there is not a lot of sauce and topping options. I would have loved ponzu sauce and some edamame. The food itself was great. Rice and fish were obviously fresh. Service was fast. The place is a little small which is okay, but gives an awkward space between another customer and I. Would def come back!

I love Hawaiian food and have my favorite spots for legit grindz on four of the islands (5 if you count Las Vegas!), not to mention all the places sprinkled throughout the mainland. I'm not a snob but I appreciate fresh ingredients made with aloha. Unfortunately, da kine here had neither. The place is easy enough to find, just off Tustin in a plaza, right next to a Subway. The inside was dim and quiet. There was only one other couple in there, who walked in just before us. My +1 ordered the loco moco. She got overcooked patties, runny eggs and prepackaged gravy in a separate container. I ordered the combo with short rib, barbecue beef and chicken. It tasted like it was cooked in old grease and was bland despite the teriyaki sauce. My keiki (mini +1) got the teriyaki chicken with macaroni salad and didn't want to eat it. It didn't sit right with any of us. As some other reviewers mentioned, I don't think it was made fresh. I came hoping for 'ono but all I found was "oh no." The plates were full, but what's the point of choke portions if you just gonna choke on it? No thanks. Edit: I originally left two stars, but after the whole ohana (family) had upset stomachs all night, had to drop it.

I decided to order for my recurring Sunday gathering, but they are NOT open on Sundays! So with some prepping and batching, you can still take advantage of these tasty and hugely portioned trays. About an hour before serving time, Reheat at 300 with tray uncovered for 20 minutes. Stir or move the top layer of chicken around and put back in oven for another 10 minutes. One woman in particular (presumably a manager or long-time employee) was shockingly, aggressively rude in a way that's hard to overstate. Her tone was dripping with contempt, her attitude unapologetically hostile, and her behavior screamed ignorance wrapped in unearned entitlement. Zero warmth, zero professionalism--just pure, unfiltered disdain for the very people paying her bills. No one should have to endure being treated like an inconvenience or an idiot just to eat decent barbecue. The food might be worth a try if you're willing to stomach verbal abuse, but for most of us, it's not. Her complete lack of basic decency and customer service skills makes this place actively unpleasant. I won't be back, and I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone who values being treated like a human being. One star only because the ribs themselves don't deserve zero--but she absolutely does.

I've had this place bookmarked forever and I'm so happy I finally got to try it out! What I noticed when ordering online is the simplicity of these bowls. You don't have to choose between a ton of different toppings, which is refreshing! The salmon and tuna are super fresh and the addition of imitation crab and seaweed salad to the bowl was tasty! Loved the wasabi sauce too! The store was simple and clean. The chicken bone in thighs are HUGEEE, a 2 pc plate is definitely a sufficient portion. The fried chicken is some of the best, juicy inside and super flaky and crispy outside. The spicy garlic sauce is perfectly sticky and has great flavor. The mac salad is creamy and includes potato. I'd rate the CPC plate 6/5 - DA BOMB! We also got a spam musubi, which was delicious, good spam to rice ratio and yummy sweet sauce. 5/5 musubi. I also tried their DHK bowl which is a huge bowl including poke, kalua pig (or lau lau), seaweed salad, and lomi salmon. I liked that it was an option to try a little bit of everything. The ahi poke was super fresh, with minimal sauce. The seaweed salad was sweet and not very fishy. The kalua pig was tender. The lomi salmon was probably my least favorite because it was pretty salty. I'd rate the DHK bowl a 3/5. Their new menu seems to be focused on CPC chicken with only a few other options. The skin on the chicken is crispy, the actual meat of the chicken is juicy but not flavorful at all. No salt. Because of this, the chicken gets a five out of 10, with so many great chicken places here in Orange County, and in California for that matter, there is so much competition and other alternatives that you can get that know how to properly brine and seasoned their chicken meat. An online reviewer on YouTube gave this one of the highest praises, which set my expectations probably too high, but, I stand by my review on the Chicken. Also, the macaroni salad is extremely bland, and seems like a waste of calories. The shredded cabbage that the chicken sits on top of, which is one of my favorite things to eat in Hawaiian places and places like this, as the cabbage really soaks up all the chicken drippings and everything, was very bad tasting. It tasted like the bag that it was obviously stored in. Obviously very unfresh and unappealing. I understand, it's hard for a restaurant to keep their cost down, but keeping cabbages on hand and slicing them daily and putting day dots on them is not a hard thing. I worked at restaurants and this is very lazy of this establishment. The cabbage is horrible. This also led to the coleslaw being not worth ordering for four dollars. A big letdown and a big disappointment. Also, I ordered both kinds of chicken, and I couldn't tell the difference between the Peppa Chicken and the other. Also, we got the food to go, and they rapid tightly in paper bags, which makes it sweat, and it ends up being less crispy than it normally would. Again, you guys are a chicken place and you guys should think these things through. Yelp, only allows you five star ratings, and I would give this a 2 1/2 stars out of five stars.
