My wife suggested this steakhouse so I called and asked if they'd take a reservation and they said I could call ahead up to an hour. As it turned out, It was exactly one hour from when we were planning on attending. I showed up one hour later and got a table in five minutes! On Valentines Day! I've never had that happen before. Freakin Awesome. The server not only Kicked some serious ass, but he took names too. Water glass was never empty, he was very helpful and even suggested what I should order, which was phenomenal. Even talked me into a rare alcoholic beverage as I was having an urge for a mojito and they didn't have them. Okay, the food. I got the rib eye with a pepper rub seasoning and Cognac sauce that just melted in my mouth. I would have gorged myself with this meal had I not thought the button on my pants wouldn't just bolt off and hit the lady at the next table in the back of the head. Great customer service. I am a usual at any Saltgrass (Lewisville, las colinas, plano, north Dallas) etc.) and I love their Pat's ribeye. I recently took my parents for the first time to this location and my father ordered the most expensive steak over medium well and it look great. However, when he was half way I noticed he was eating it really rare and asked why didn't he say something but he preferred to take it home and cook it then. There's no reason why you should not enjoy a $40 steak. I mentioned it to our nice server Jordan and later the manager Tim came by our table and offered his apologies admire that about a place. Everytime I'm in Plano, Texas I have to make a stop at my favorite Saltgrass. This place has the most amazing food. I usually do dinner here with coworkers or sometimes alone at the bar. The bartenders are really funny and engaged. I have 2 favorites that I get all the time. Either the Jumbo Stuffed BBQ shrimp or the Chicken Laredo. They both come with a soup or salad and a side order. I love the Mac and cheese here as a side order. The service is good, the bar is kept clean and the food is tasty. The servers are always willing to substitute items. I remember that the bartender talked about these jumbo stuffed shrimp with a few people at the bar and she ended up brining some out for us to try, free of charge. Southern hospitality at its best. I dropped a star because when we come with coworkers or a large party they sometimes have a bit of a wait. I don't understand this, specially when they have tables over. I guess not enough servers? I have been here only a couple of times. Ever since I have been living on my own, I don't have the money to go to a fancy, expensive steak house. Saltgrass is still fairly expensive, but prices are fair for what you're getting. I'm a carb junkie, and I love the bread there! I always ask for more bread because it melts in your mouth. I also get a Caesar salad, which tastes just like your typical Caesar salad. Good but nothing special. I ordered the 6 oz filet, and asked for it well done. One thing that really makes me like a steak house if they can actually cook it well done & Saltgrass was able to each time I've been there. I don't mind if it's butterflied or what, as long as there is no pink. My boyfriend on the other hand, loves it medium-rare, which they are very good at that too. If you are a fan of sides, I always get the baked potato or the mac & cheese. I was also told that the baked sweet potato is one of the best here if you like sweet potatoes. All in all, they do a great job of making my boyfriend and me happy, in terms of steaks. This is a great place for a date night. What a HORRIBLE experience at this location 3000 Dallas Parkway!!! I placed an online order at 8:00 pm for curbside pickup and received confirmation that it would be ready at 8:30 pm. I even gave a $5.00 tip when I placed the order! I pulled up at 8:21 and texted that I arrived and parked in space 2. I knew I was about 10 minutes early so I expected to wait for a bit. Well at 8:40, I was still waiting even though the order was supposed to be brought out at 8:30. Another 10 minutes go by and STILL NO FOOD!! So I call them from the curbside parking lot at 8:50 and tell them I previously texted what space I was in when I arrived and have been waiting over 20 minutes. The young lady put me on hold for a few minutes and then said they were going to bring my food out as soon as possible. Well, it wasn't as soon as possible! Another 10 minutes went by before they came out to give me my food!!! So I finally got my food when they closed the restaurant, 30 minutes AFTER they said it would be ready AND THE FOOD WAS COLD!!!!! After spitting out two out of three bites into my napkin I was embarrassed in front of my date. Went to a canned business promotion presentation over lunch. Ordered what was billed as their sirloin steak and a side if garlic potatoes with salad. The vegetables were fine. The sirloin steak was supposed to be medium but what I was served was an incredibly tough chunk of something more like round steak. It had connective tissue in it and the meat itself was very hard to cut. The second disappointment was it was rare in the center because of the overall thickness and it being a triangular chunk of meat. We went in wanting to finally have a nice dinner out after Governor Abbott eased restrictions. We trusted Landry's to take added measures to ensure a safe dining experience. Most of the staff were wearing masks which was nice, except for two of the people preparing and plating our food. The manager saw my concern and asked if something was wrong. I explained that I appreciated that most of his staff were wearing masks, but it was concerning that the one person with the most exposure to my meal, the chef, isn't. He explained that Landry's had provided masks for those who wanted to wear them but it was their option. He said, as my food is being served to me, that if I requested it he would have the chef put on his mask. I went to Landy's website and verified this optional mask policy, so no fault on this establishment, but I take issue with Landry's policy. The manager did comp our meal which was a nice gesture. If I get sick that's on me for going out to eat, but I think of all those who are staying at home and ordering take out who have no idea that the person cooking their food is not using protection. Classic Chopped Steak for lunch was surprisingly good. It is basically a giant hamburger patty cooked how you like it. Onions, mushrooms, and sauce made this dish shine. Broccoli is bland and I only eat it for health. Sauce made even that delicious. Will probably keep this dish in mind for future lunches. Service was excellent. We just went to Saltgrass and all ordered the prime rib. 30 minutes after they took our order they said they were out of prime rib and said we could order something else or could pay for our beers and go. We picked something else. 30 minutes after we put in our new orders, we were still waiting for our food. Our baby was starting to get fussy so we asked them to pack our food to go and took it home when it was finally ready. While they apologized profusely, I would have expected them to give us some sort of a discount, or a free beer or something. They have gone downhill, especially this location. I don't recommend this place. They don't cook steak the way you want it anymore. They trick you into thinking it's right. My steak was over cooked and partially charred, too dry. I cut into it and there was no pink. It was suppose to be medium well. The waitress took it away to show the manager or cook and came back later with a new cut into it that they did themselves and it looked like it had been dipped in some au juice or something to make it look like it was pink. I thought that was very rude of them to cut my steak. The waitress said is this to your liking when she brought it back and had it folded in half where they cut it. They tricked me so I decided I'll take it home, but it was not good too dry and over done I didn't like their little trick. I think they changed managers the place is not as good as it used to be and the quality of meat was not good in the T bone my husband had, either. The asparagus they served me were horrible and burnt, also too dry, like chewing on sticks. We will not be going here again. The place must of changed something. Also, the front greeter was not friendly at all, she just kept talking to her coworker, guy as we walked in and stood there watching her. She wasn't friendly at all. She finally turned and looked at us , and I had to say "Hi", first, that's no way to greet your guests. She wanted to sit us at a half booth, half chair booth when they had plenty of full booth there.
