Shlap Muan is the real deal for chicken wings. I discovered them at Smorgasburg and wanted to visit their sit-down location. The restaurant itself has a few tables, but it gets busy. The interior is no frills, which means they prioritize focus on the food. I got the 2-3 peeps, which includes 16 wings and a large side. I got the garlic noodles, which was a solid and filling choice. There was an option to choose up to 3 flavors for the wings, so I went with Cambodian dirt and wet buffalo. Both were delicious! I will warn you that the buffalos is a bit spicier than expected, and tasted a bit different than what I had at their Smorgasburg booth. Nonetheless, I loved my meal. Overall, I love Shlap Muan's chicken wings. Service was also A+. I'll definitely be back
I came here on a Friday afternoon, and it was really good. We tried the Sweet Spicy Garlic wings, Dirty Elvis wings, and Spicy Cambodian Dirt wings, along with fries, garlic noodles, and shrimp fried rice. The standout items were definitely the Spicy Cambodian Dirt wings and the garlic noodles. The wings were crispy and flavorful, tasting like a mild lemon pepper without being too overpowering. The spice level was mild, but I'd definitely come back for them. The Dirty Elvis wings reminded me of an Asian-style BBQ sauce, kind of like an Asian zing. If you enjoy sweet BBQ flavors, you'll like these. The garlic noodles were amazing, full of flavor and just the right portion size. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant has a good number of tables, so we were able to enjoy our food there comfortably. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return.
I was at a Cambodian new years event and this restaurant was one of the vendors/booth. I'm so glad I tried it! These are one of the best chicken wings I've ever had aside from my own chicken wings. I got their most popular flavor, dirty elvis and cambodian dirt. Lol. Their most popular wings dirty Elvis are indeed delicious! Its robust in flavor. Its sweet, salty, a little tangy and when its right out of the wok, its even more yummy. Its savory with every bite! The cambodian dirt one had a hint of lemongrass. I think these wings can be a tad bit more salty. The cook was quick! He made those wings for me in less than 5m. These guys seem like a bunch of good, easy going, and nice folks. They were in a small tent but they got the job done! They were in a booth today so I didn't get to try the actual restaurant. Although, I will drop by so I can have a feel for the ambiance and ofc for the wings! Excellent wings, probably my 2nd favorite wings right now after wingz n mi in temecula.
Second time having shlap muan and I honestly think that the first time hit better for me. Cambodian dirt flavor was just okay this time around. Service was nice and quick. The store was kept clean. The menu was easy to read. They are still thriving I see because it was pretty busy while I was there. I'll always support my fellow Cambodians!!
Yummy wings! I ordered the Cambodian Dirt, Dirty Elvis, and Water Buffalo. Of the three, my favorite was the Cambodian Dirt. It was zesty, tangy, the and chicken wings were plump! I loved the flavors of all of them though. I love their fun asian fusion flavors mixed in with traditional wing flavors. I would skip on the fried rice and french fries. Service was okay, nothing special. We asked if we could buy some more Cambodian Dirt powder to have with our wings but they said it wasn't allowed. Besides that, decent service. Overall, I would recommend Shlap Muan Chicken Wings.
For the price the wings are delicious big and juicy. I try every wing ill be back for the other three and I will try combining sauces. Service amazing Vivian was great at explaining the menu and flavors. The spot is a cool sit n go nothing big but if u just want to grab a bite and sit it cool quite spot on bad thing is parking.
Great fusion wings at a decent price. Definitely comparable to Wingstop or even better! When placing a pickup order, they ask you when you'll be arriving and I think that's a great idea for having the food fresh and ready upon arrival. We took the food home and it was still crispy and hot. The spicy cambodian dirt weren't spicy at all and tasted like regular lemon pepper. That being said it was still good flavor & fried well. I'd skip this to try another flavor next time though. The dirty elvis was great. I loved the chili peppers that comes with it to give it that optional spice. I'd definitely come back just to reorder this and try their other specialty wings. Ordered a little before 6pm on a Tuesday & they were sold out of garlic noodles :( Was a huge disappointment, but I'll have to come by and try their $30 combo next time.
what's the secret sauce??? I finally got to try the wings at Smorgasburg after a while. These wings did not disappoint. I got the dirty Elvis and Cambodian dirt and the flavors were truly something else. The owners were super nice and even gave me an extra wing! I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try chicken wings that are not Korean or American.
Omggggg I was craving wings and garlic noodles and these def hit the spot. Parking was kind of tough but it was worth it! Ordered online and it was easy. I ordered the 4pc wings, and the flavor I chose was Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper). I also ordered a small garlic noodle, and they packed the box! When I picked up my order they let me know they gave me an extra wing. Such amazing service and food especially for the price I'm def going to keep coming back!

Yeah I looked that up just to use it in this review, because it deserved that respect. This place reminded me of an old school LB joint, but the flavors were new school for sure. The wings were crispy and had some of that spicy/sour Asian flavor that you can't really get anywhere else. The garlic noodles were also delicious, I love the amount of garlic they used, but wouldn't recommend if you're out for a first date with someone! And who can complain about some shoestring french fries? Really impressed by how quickly we got our food, especially since we ordered in the restaurant. The cashier was also super cool, I felt like his vibes were so good and I could feel his kindness in every customer interaction while we were eating. There's no bathroom, so might opt for takeout next time. In any case, will be looking forward to visiting again!
As a die-hard fan of Asian fusion wings, I knew I had to visit after seeing this spot featured on Andrew, Steven, and Adam's YouTube channel and hearing the rave reviews across social media. I'm so glad I made the trip! The Food: I ordered the Cambodian Dirt and Spicy Elephant wings. The Cambodian Dirt? Hands down the best fusion take on lemon pepper wings I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside with juicy chicken inside, and the lemongrass-infused flavor is everything my Southeast Asian heart has been craving. These wings are so good that just thinking about them makes me want to come back for another round! The Spicy Elephant was also well-executed, though it wasn't quite my favorite--not due to any lack of quality, but simply because peanut flavors aren't my personal preference. Ambience: This is a small hole-in-the-wall chicken shop tucked into a tiny strip mall. Parking and seating are limited with just a handful of tables, but the incredible flavors make it absolutely worth the trek. Service: Quick and attentive! You can tell the staff genuinely loves what they serve--they were enthusiastically sharing their own favorite wing flavors with customers. The shop is clearly a labor of love, and it SHOWS. Bottom Line: Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates bold, creative Asian fusion flavors!
I've had wings from all kinds of spots and different cultures, and for the longest time Korean wings were my #1.. that was until I tried this place. These Cambodian wings completely blew them out of the park. My favorite has to be the Dirty Elvis. I've also had the Cambodian Dirty, which is kind of like lemon pepper but honestly, 10x better. The Mango Jabanero is fire too (they serve the sauce on the side, which I actually liked). I also ordered the garlic noodles. I wanted to love them, but I couldn't help comparing them to some of the best garlic noodles I've had before. They're still good and definitely above average, but the wings are the real stars here. This spot is known for its wings, and that's exactly where they deserve all the credit. Three letters: GAS. Hands down the best wings I've ever had. The place itself is kind of a hidden gem because of where it's located, it almost feels tucked away. Judging by their huge social media following, they're clearly doing just fine, but if they were in a more visible location or surrounded by other popular businesses, I honestly think this place would be even more packed than it already is. If you're a wing lover, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't regret it. And don't sleep on their sweet spicy garlic sauce!
After seeing Shlap Muan featured on the chicken wings episode from Andrew, Steven, and Adam's YT channel (formerly "Worth It"), the flavor name "Cambodian Dirt" must have left a big impression on my mind. While at Smorgasburg this weekend, Shlap Muan was one of the vendors and I knew I had to give it a try! We ordered 10 wings with the Cambodian Dirt and Jalapeño MSG flavors, as well as tots with the Spicy Cambodian Dirt seasoning. The flavors were explosive, with a beautiful balance of sweet, salty, umami, and tang. The wings themselves were cooked well and not dry. Their service at Smorgasburg was super friendly and quick! While I tried Shlap Muan as a vendor, I definitely would try to stop by their brick and mortar store in Long Beach to try their other flavors.

This place is highly rated for a reason!! WOW! The flavors of the wings pop, they are generally large and juicy. They have perfected the juicy chicken on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside (even when drenched in sauce/ ranch.) The garlic noodles are a PERFECT accent to the wings; the noodles alone are cravable. It's a small, bright place, you can eat in if you want your meal super fresh, but I prefer to take these home where I can get messy! The service is fast and friendly- it's a hidden gem that's easy to miss by the location but plenty of parking! read more

This place was recommended by my husband, and I have to say, it lived up to the recommendation. Our order came out in a timely manner--about 20 minutes. The wings were juicy on the inside, generously seasoned, and cooked really well. The portion size of the wing was decent too. We also tried their garlic noodles, which I definitely recommend. They offer a nice variety of drinks, including teas and non-alcoholic beer. The dining area is a bit small, so it can fill up quickly. read more

Have had these delicious @$$ wings and their garlic noodles at the store, Coachella, and Head in the clouds many times. All my friends love them. My favs are the Elvis, Cambodian dirt , and garlic noodles. Cambodian dirt blows lemon pepper from Wingstop for real. Their wings are hella underrated ! I came for the wings--and wow, they slapped. The Lemon Pepper and Elvis wings were both straight-up addictive. Crispy, juicy, seasoned like someone actually cared. I could've eaten a whole tray and still gone back for more. The garlic noodles, though? Meh. A little bland, a little oily, didn't bring much to the table except carbs. I was sad when they shuttered their Pasadena ghost kitchen operation. I was in LB today and decided to check out the main restaurant. Got the 6 cambodian dirt wings and small garlic noodle for $15. When I opened the box I found 7 wings!! Cambo Dirt wings have the satisfying taste and crunch of the American lemon pepper wings but with lighter seasoning (no sauce needed). They don't serve alcohol but have good non-alcoholic beers that taste pretty good. These wings are the best!! Juicy, crispy, with great flavors. Dirty Elvis is sticky savory and sweet. I don't know if the chilis are decorative but eating these wings with the dry chilis is fire. Cambodian Dirt is a bussin tangy lemon flavor. Ordered on the phone and our wings were ready in 10 minutes. I said I'd try different flavors but those two are so good I've yet to do so. **They seemed to toss in lots of extra wings!!! A pleasant surprise. What can I say I am addicted to wings more importantly I'm addicted to good tasting wings hot or mild sauced or with a dry rub this gal is eating them. This isn't my first visit to Schlap Muan I had them when they used the kitchen to cook the wings in their parent's restaurant they were the nicest people and the food was soo good the same owner Hawk is at this location with more staff and it's a nice clean restaurant. Located on a busy street the with a shared lot the parking can be a bit difficult you might have to circle once to find something. These wings are Cambodian style and that's what made me want to try them. They have a few more food options wing flavors garlic noodles and more since the last time I ate here or maybe they were here and I didn't notice and they all look tasty. Here's what I chose. Shrimp Fried Rice I asked for my shrimp to be fried very crispy and the container of fried rice was packed the rice was fried nicely and the shrimp were very crispy the flavor was on point and the green onions kicked it up a notch I added a splash of soy sauce and a dash of onion powder and it was delicious. 9/10 Sweet & Spicy Garlic Wings Sweet and spicy garlic flavored they truly are wet sweet and savory not that spicy but it's all good my heat level is very high - they were fried well but need more seasoning I added a dash of seasoned salt and garlic powder and they were the bomb and so good. 8/10 Orange Habanero Wings Described as wet fruity & Spicy they put the sauce on the side because it's spicy they give you the option to taste it before you add it on the wings - the flavor was delicious and the sauce had a kick but I didn't find it very spicy I wished I had ordered a side of sauce because it was so good the orange and habanero sauce was amazing I will ask them to make it hotter for me next time I also added more seasonings to the hot wings they needed a bit more flavor and the wings were once again crispy and so so good. 8/10 Mexican coke This bad boy is made with cane sugar and caffeine it was cold and refreshing but now this girl is amped. Lol Good food and great service I will definitely be back to enjoy the Dirty Elvis Wings and the Garlic Noodles. The prices of wings and other foods can get a bit pricey but I think it's worth it and I recommend you try these wings they're amazing Cambodian style wings seasoned and spiced differently and delicious. Was craving some chicken wings and had this place listed. I was in the area and made a pit stop. Ordered the dirty Elvis and Cambodian dirt combo wings with garlic noodles. Combo size was good for 2-3 peeps. Also ordered the jalapeño and msg 8 piece wings. Dirty Elvis was sweet, tangy, and sour 5/5. Cambodian dirt and jalapeño MSG had similar taste profiles, I couldn't tell much too much of a difference (4/5). Garlic noodles were good the next day, I added some lobster and beef to make a dish out of it. Service was quick and efficient. I've been having this place bookmarked for a while and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! The staff were very cheerful and kind. The wings were cooked perfectly. The Dirty Elvis is a MUST HAVE! I also lovedddd the Spicy Cambodian Dirt seasoning. Next time, I'll opt for the fries and hopefully they'll allow that spicy seasoning on them too because it's just that good! So glad I was in the area to finally try this place! I've had this place bookmarked for months as wings are my favorite part of the chicken to consume. The wings did not disappoint, and I will definitely be back to try all of the other flavors. I got the meal pack for 2-3 people since it had everything I wanted to try initially. Both flavors were good, but I do prefer the dirty Elvis more. The wok tossed flavor just has everything you want and the wing was still crispy! I'm a big lemon pepper guy so the Cambodian dirt was a must try for me, and it hit the spot. Great tangy lemongrass flavor, but it was just lacking some pepper flavor for me. My second visit here so I wanted to try two new flavors that I didn't try last time. The cashier asked me some questions on what kind of flavors I liked. He suggested Jalapeño MSG & Water Buffalo which is a smoother Buffalo style sauce. It was really good! tucked away in towards the back of the plaza it can be easy to miss, but definitely worth the effort. We've ordered for take out, both in person and using their website. But times our orders were done accurately. The service is friendly and they do wait to finish off your food once you've actually arrived to ensure that its still crispy and fresh. I had to visit here after seeing it made the Yelp Top 100 of 2025 list and it didn't disappoint! This casual spot serves Cambodian flavored wings that are reasonably priced, and the staff was super chill. I tried the smallest meal pack, which will feed 2-3 people, and the dirty Elvis wings were so tasty and uniquely flavored compared to other wings I've tried! The sauce was addicting and the wings were juicy. The Cambodian dirt wings were like lemon pepper but with a little more of a vinegar taste, I really enjoyed them but they could have been a little less salty. The meal pack also came with a large side which was filled to the brim, I would say we got enough garlic noodles to feed 4 people! We also added an additional small side of fried rice, but I think it was a little underseasoned and the garlic noodles were a lot better. Overall this is a great spot where it is not only convenient and affordable, but also super delicious! read more

It's been almost a year since I first tried their chicken, and my son had forgotten that he had enjoyed their wings before. When I brought some back again, he was overjoyed, and we devoured our chicken. My wife was able to tr it for the first time. We also loved their garlic noodle, but their chicken is definitely their signature dish. I can't imagine better chicken anywhere else. Came for carryout, right when it opened at 11:30, explicitly to get enough food for 3 meals, shareable with our neighbors. I was first in line, and after I had ordered and paid, got my wings quickly (under 10 minutes). Dirty Elvis (20 wings for $27) - god, did they smell and look good on the way home. I was able to eat a couple while they were still hot, and they reminded me so much of very fresh Korean-fried chicken wings with a very crunchy shell (almost shattering)...with a strong caramelized sugar flavor from the high temperature cooking. The flavor wasn't very strong this time, and there were quite a few smaller pieces, including a couple of the dreaded broken drumette pieces. Shrimp fried Rice ($15) - not great this time. It was fried shrimp on top of a bed of fried rice....the rice was a bit soggy, clumpy and the shrimp would have been better not battered and deep fried...it too was soggy. But rice goes good with these wings...next time would just stick with the normal fried rice for $9. Garlic Noodles Small ($5) - a decent serving of wheat (i.e. spaghetti) noodles, using the same 'master' sauce used on the fried rice. I thought this was quite a bit better, especially for the price. Will definitely try again when in the area...the chicken wings are great when fresh. I did have some leftovers and tried them the following day...they don't reheat well (very soggy and most of the flavor was gone). read more

Stopped by for takeout wings. We heard a lot about this place. They (used to?) have a ghost kitchen in Pasadena but we were never able to come by the one day a week they're open. It's a different Cambodian take on wings! Vibrant flavors. We for Cambodian dirt and Dirty Elvis. Ample parking in the lot. You can eat there too with some tables available. read more

It was our first time trying this place after having it on our list for a long time, & we were not left disappointed! The gentleman helping us was super helpful with his recommendations and really nice! We tried two flavors: Dirty Elvis and Sweet n Spicy Garlic with a large side of garlic noodles with shrimp and a small side of rice with an egg. Everything was delicious and super flavorful. No ranch or extra sauce needed! My favorite was the dirty Elvis flavor! The amount of food was more than enough for two people! We will definitely be back to try all the other flavors! read more

I've been to their brick & mirror a couple times so I was so happy to see them as a vendor at Cali Vibes 2025. I ordered the Dirty Elvis (which I've had before) and they were so good! Absolutely demolished them. Per usual, they were crispy but not oily and still juicy on the inside. The sticky dirty elvis sauce reminds me of char siu flavors. Hi! we do use nuts in our facilities so if its a contact allergy, we do recommend you proceed with caution. with that said, the only thing that contains (peanuts) would be the SPICY ELEPHANT sauce. Hope that helps!
Are your garlic noodles vegetarian?
Just spoke with them on the phone and their Garlic Noodles are NOT vegetarian! They use oyster sauce in it :(
Is your wings MSG free? for allergy sake?
