Location: near Santa Clara, on El Camino Real Parking: small strip mall has a handful of spaces otherwise its street parking Hours: open for lunch for about 3 hrs, then they close. Reopen for dinner about 3hrs. Check before you go because it's different on certain days Price: $25.99 dinner or weekends. $21.99 weekdays You are allowed 2 trips of 2 bowls each, but if you don't finish your food, you get charged $10 (and get a free to go box), this is to discourage wastage. If you've never gone to a similar place, all the meats are frozen thinly sliced (beef, chicken, pork, or lamb. Shrimp is upcharge $7.99/10pc. Put the meats in the bowl, smash them down, add noodles if you want. In second bowl add all your veggies. Go to the back side and make your custom sauce, or use their recipe which is posted (vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, ginger etc). You then give it to the guys who cook everything on a huge hot grill and return your food into one big bowl. You can add more seasonings after they finish cooking like Teri sauce, curry powder, chili paste etc. I really like this concept, it's customized stir fry which you could totally do at home yourself but you'd have to buy all the different ingredients.

Great customer service. Very attentive and helpful when it comes to new customers like myself. Walked us through the process. There are labels and signs to help direct those who have not been to a mongolian bbq place before. Food was great and loved the option of customizing food to your palette. Staff were super nice and helpful with everything. The restaurant is super clean and staff makes sure that it stays that way! I will definitely be back and would recommend in the future

Great experience, felt very welcomed, food is delicious and you make your own flavor the only down side is that you might make one bowl better than the next one. Overall just felt happy and taken care of

We love this place! The service is outstanding. We always go here to celebrate someone's birthday or a special occasion. It's fun to pick your own items and have them cook everything for you. I love noodles but I try to stay away from them these days so I like that I can simply get a bowl of meat and a bowl of veggies to make a delicious, healthy stir fry. This last visit I used their sauce recipe hanging up on the wall and it worked perfectly. My dish was perfectly seasoned and tasty. It's probably not worth coming if you're only getting one go-through especially if you're not getting noodles like me because it's a bit pricey in that regard. But most of the people in our group went through for a second time and everyone had noodles so they got their money's worth. It would be great if they had a soda fountain machine and drinks were included in the price. But that's okay. We will still continue to visit.

Su's Mongolian bbq was tasty! Lot's of fresh vegetables! Broccoli, mushrooms, onions, carrots and more. Many meat options and you can pay an up charge for shrimp. I enjoyed my bowl. They also offer many different sodas for an up charge too. Staff was very friendly and warm.

If you're looking for bang for your buck, look no further! This place is seriously a hidden gem: very fresh and all you can eat. The restaurant is a little dated but very clean. The owner, who is usually there, is very nice and has good suggestions on the toppings. A few things to note: go very easy on the soy and chili sauce, and wait a few minutes after you get your bowl: your food will be insanely hot.

My 2 bowls, ready for the cook!

Good food and customer services. Parking lot is shared with other business you may need to park on the street. The AYCE is great but you can go two trips. I definitely go back and try again.

$35 worth ??? No freaking way!

We come here quite frequently as I started having my cancer treatments every 2 weeks. I unexpectedly ended up in the hospital tonight and so of course my husband said he'd go there for dinner. $70 later he got two take out containers, so NOT worth it!!! And NEVER AGAIN

The funny thing about trying to review Mongolian BBQ restaurants is that if you don't like the food, it's honestly on you. You pick every item that goes into your dish, down to the exact ratio of different liquids in the sauce so if you are unhappy with your final product, you only have yourself to blame. With that in mind, this review will focus less on the food and more on the other aspects that combine to form the overall dining experience. To begin, Su's Mongolian BBQ has all the charm of an industrial kitchen, which is to say not a lot. The sterile, undecorated interior pairs with the harsh fluorescent lights and imposing steel refrigerators to send a message that while you may be allowed here, you are not necessarily welcomed. The ingredient station where you build your bowl is incredibly small, so small that on first glance I thought I must be missing something. As a result, the diversity of ingredients is pretty limited but they do hit all the must-haves of Mongolian BBQ. It's not all you can eat, but rather all you can grab in two trips through the line. It doesn't make much of a difference though because if you are strategic about it you can fit quite a lot of food in one trip. You would probably be hard-pressed to find someone who could eat two full bowls that had been filled to the max. Most people will probably be satisfied with just a single trip through the line, but at that point you feel like you are leaving money on the table, and the $22 lunch suddenly feels like less of a deal. If you are a person whose stomach knows no bounds you are going to get your money's worth here but if you aren't, it's a little tougher to feel good about the price you are paying. In the end while the food was serviceable and I wouldn't resist coming here again, the lacking atmosphere and minimal selection will probably keep this from being my go-to spot for Mongolian BBQ.

I've been here a handful of times with my partner, and it's easily one of the best Mongolian barbecue spots I've had in a while. It's a family-owned restaurant, and they also have another location (MP BBQ). Every time we come in, we're greeted with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. When you walk in, you grab a tray and two bowls. You can fill each bowl however you like but I usually do one for noodles and one for toppings. They also have a rice cooker if you prefer rice over noodles. For protein, they offer shrimp, pork, lamb, beef, and chicken. Topping-wise, they've got the basics like carrots, onions, broccoli, pineapple, lettuce, mushrooms, etc. I do wish they had a wider variety of veggies tho. I've even suggested to the owner that baby corn or bell peppers (green, red, or both) would be great additions. Even with a somewhat limited topping selection, they really make up for it with their sauces and seasonings. You can truly customize the flavor of your plate however you want. One standout for me is the liquid sugar. It's just something I haven't seen at other Mongolian BBQ spots. It adds sweetness and depth of flavor and it honestly helps balance out the soy sauce (if you add soy sauce). Overall, it's a spot we keep coming back to, and for good reason. Something to mention is that if you have leftovers, you can get a to-go box for a dollar. They do kind of act like a buffet (I think they were once running it like a buffet before COVID).

Ask the Community - Su's Mongolian BBQ

Is this still all you can eat in 2025?

To reduce waste we no longer overtly refer to ourselves as all-you-can-eat. However, essentially we still are, as long as you don’t waste. You are allowed two trips of two bowls each without additional charge. That’s a lot of food! More trips are…

Do I also get 2 trips/bowls for to go order?

Technically no, but they essentially give you that much foods worth!

Do they still have the sides like the circle pocket bread?

Hi Piper. Sorry to say, but the only things that made the cut where the egg rolls and fried rice. They are no longer included in the price of the meal, but are $.75 each for the homemade egg-rolls, and $5.99 for a plate of fried rice that would feed…

Are they able to accommodate allergies by rinsing the pan and cooking with a separate set of cooking sticks?

There is no pan. Just a large round Mongolian style grill. They cook a few orders at a time going in a circular pattern utilizing the entire cooking surface.

I saw that owner answered back in 11/23 that they are open on Sundays for dinner. Is this still true? Thank you for your time

Hi S F. Sorry for the delay. Yes, we are very much open on Sundays. At least for a short shift schedule. Opening at 4pm and closing at 8pm, with the usual "last call" time fifteen minutes before the actual closing time. So as always, it's best to…

My son is allergic to eggs. I hear your egg noodles doesn't have eggs is that true?…

Hi Cherie. Sorry it won't let me post my full answer for some reason. But basically, no our noodles have no egg in them. They are more appropriately called wheat noodles instead.…

What are the noodles made of? Rice noodle option for those who are celiac/gluten free?

They definitely are not rice noodles. They appear to be wheat-based noodles, so I would be surprised if they are gluten-free.

How much does it cost per person?

Hi Emma. Thanks for your inquiry and very sorry it took so long to reply. Hopefully you got your answer by other means, but if not, here are most of our basic prices.…

    Do they do takeout?

Hi. Yes we do take-out for both lunch and dinner. You still make your own at the buffet, but tell the cook that it's TO GO and they will put it in the to-go box for you. Simple as that.…

Havnt been since pre covid. Do they still have the sweet and sour pork/chicken as a side and fried rice?

Hi junior m. There have been a few changes in the last two years and unfortunately one of the biggest was the loss of our hot table with all the goodies on it. We do still offer fried rice and our home made egg rolls, but they are not ripe for the…

Are you still doing to go boxes or do you have to dine in?

You can eat there or get food to go.

Are you guys open for indoor seating right now?

Yes, til 2pm for lunch and 5pm-8pm for dinner.

    Are they open on Sunday?

    No, they aren't unfortunately.

    When do they offer shrimp?

Yes they do. I'm looking at it right now. It's an additional $2.99 for 10pcs. At least for dinner that is.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!

All meats were good but my favorite was the beef finger ribs. One gripe I did have though was how they laid their barbecue plates lined with corn and cheese in the corner near the entrance/exit to the elevator... not sure how sanitary that is and it was unsettling to see after we finished our meal. Given the news about pest and vermin in Valley Fair, I think it's probably best not to lay the plates out like that without refrigeration and on the ground too.

This is one of my fave places in this Korean plaza!…read more I always find service to be so friendly and kind. They are a small team but do their best to chat with you and make recommendations. We came here around 5:30PM so we did not wait for a table of 5 at all. We wanted to order the package B which comes with 3 protein of choice with add on ramen and cold noodles but they refused to let us order package B but insisted us to order package C which comes with 4 protein of choices. I and my niece don't eat meat so package B was good for us. There are 5 of us but 2 of us don't eat meat, we basically eat the banchan with the sauces. I do not like how they handle the situation at all! I clearly told them I don't eat meat so package B was good for us and they refused. We can not finished with 4 protein for package C which had a lot of left over afterward. The galbi was $9 add on more which the portion are small and over cooked! The grilled chicken was okay, the pork belly and the beef brisket overly thin slices below average quality. The best part of this was the banchan they were given, the potatoes salad was delicious. The hot sauce was very good. I just add all the banchan with white rice and hot sauce to make the best Bibimbap ever. The cold noodles were excellent just like how it tasted in Korea. When my daughter gets up to pay for the bill, they expected us to tip them 18% instead of 15% because there are were party 5 of us.
