Came here on a Friday night - walk in and was able to get seated within 10 mins which was amazing! The restaurant wasn't too busy or full (maybe half full?) but service was a littlee slow (probs just the night we went). We got two enya chirashi bowls ($36 each) and one fried onion albacore roll ($21). The fried onion roll came out within 10 minutes and then we waited 40 minutes for the two chirashi bowls. We saw them ready at the kitchen but it was sitting there for a good 15 mins without anyone bringing them over (we tried to ask for an update but couldn't catch anyones attention) but also we were pretty hungry so that influenced our experience. They asked if we wanted water, hot tea, edamame, garlic edamame at once when we first sat down but it was confusing the way it was offered if they were complimentary - to clarify before saying yes to all, the edamame would be a charged appetizer; hot green tea is complimentary. The rolls are unique - I always like a good fried onion topping. The chirashi was standard and beautifully presented; good quality fish is reflected in the pricing ~$43 per bowl (after tip and tax). Lots of popping fish roe! We asked for check and after 15-20mins I think they forgot which happens - got it the second time around :) Overall the restaurant is clean, nice, and aesthetic, maybe not worth the price and slow service when we visited but I would maybe try it again perhaps just order the special rolls. read more

We hit up this spot for dinner on a Sunday at 5:30 PM, and the best part? We got seated immediately. So, first things first, parking. They've got a structure right by the restaurant, with not one but two entrances - located on Raymond and Green Street. The parking is a total steal - $1 for every 2 hours. And the cherry on top: you're less than a 5-minute stroll away from the restaurant. But let's get to the sushi. I'm not usually a fan of spicy tuna, but Sushi Enya's tuna was the opposite of spicy. Plus, it seemed like they were using some top-notch fish. For example, the tuna had this delicate light pink hue, a refreshing change from the bright red you usually see at other sushi joints. We ordered a bit of everything because why not, right? We went for the Japanese mountain potato fries + truffle oil & salt, assorted sashimi, chirashi bowl, and three rolls: the yuzu roll, the lemon roll, and the baked salmon roll. In addition, to 4 orders of nigiri (uni, sweet shrimp, ikura, chu-toro). Chu-toro melted in my mouth and it was definitely the star of the night, followed by the yuzu and lemon roll - I love citrus flavors. Uni is usually a hit or miss for me, this time around it was too bitter (not sure if it was old uni?), but it was still creamy nonetheless. It may lean a bit on the pricey side ~$300 for our meal, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny if you're in the mood to treat yourself. Chef 1, albacore fried onion and lemon rolls are go-to but all the rolls are delicious. We love that the rolls are cut thin and bite sized. This time I tried the signature hand roll with toro, scallop and truffle (removed uni) and it blew me away. It's included in the omakase menu which we have yet to try. Omakase $200 per person. We tried the Premium Omakase $300 coming out to about $400 total per person. The uni, toro, caviar, bits of eddible gold and bits of truffle were so good. The fish was fresh. The abalone was good too. The hickory smoke of wagyu, uni, and sake shot was so tasty. I'd like to revisit that dish. A few of the dishes were other seafood like seafood miso soup that had shrimp, scallop pieces, baby shitake mushrooms and the crab soup but I wished it was Sushi instead. Came here with my Fiancé on a Saturday night to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day. We were able to make last minute reservation for 8pm at the bar. We opted for the Omakase course at $200/person. There was a line when we arrived. They were pretty busy. There was a line just to check in. After checking in we were seated immediately at the bar. They gave me a basket to put my stuff into that went under my chair. We were served water. My fiancé decided to bring his own sake. He wanted a nice sake to go with his expensive meal. LOL They charged a $40 corkage fee. We were introduced to one of the chefs that would be taking care of us. It turned out to be a 19 course meal and they gave us a complimentary shot of sake. 1. Appetizer Trio: Firefly squid, Abalone & Tofu mushroom salad 2. White fish shrimp broth served in teapot with lime - Drink it while it's hot 3. Mackerel w/soy sauce - not fish at all 4. Smoked Red snapper house special sauce 5. Golden eye snapper from Japan with house sauce and yuzu 6. Grouper w/ wasabi and soy sauce 7. Sea bass 8. What they forgot to mention was they changed our chef to Naoto which he was preparing at the other side. So we didn't really get a good view of the chef preparing our food. Sad. Wished they had mentioned that in the beginning so we would have been happy to move. Service was great. Our server kept on filling out cups and checking in on us. Parking is paid parking. They have a lot behind that charges $5/hour, there's a lot on Raymond & Green that's $1/2 hours. If you go after 6pm, it's free metered parking. Overall a great meal and great presentation. This was our second time doing Omakase at Sushi Enya. First time was 2 years ago at the DTLA location. We did enjoy the DTLA meal better though. The sushi items they offered were more unique. Also, the DTLA location is smaller and more homier and didn't have the cooks calling out numbers very loudly. That sorta killed the mood. But still a great meal. I've been to the Sushi Enya in Little Tokyo so I was excited to try this one. Met my sister here for dinner on a Sunday. Parked in a nearby lot and walked down. Checked in with the front and he said it would take 30 mins or we could sit outside. It was cold and I didn't want to wait but he said we could take a table in the back that was a little cramped, so we did. It was small and near the restroom but wasn't terrible. My sister walked in and we got seated. Ordered some hot tea and iced tea to start, some shishito peppers and spicy tuna on crispy rice. This is going to be a really honest review. We are big sushi fans. Quality of fish is so important when it comes to raw fish, at least for us. The cost is not a problem for us: we are more than happy to pay for quality. We came in on a Monday night. Some rolls tasted fresh and others not so much, like the lemon roll. She was super attentive and helpful, which is always a PLUS when it comes to happy dining. All the sushi were super fresh and again melts in the mouth. The uni were from Hokkaido and it was so flavorful and I can take the water with that perfect salted taste. If you leave be sushi, you would know what I meant exactly. We made a reservation for a Monday @ 5:30PM with a group of three trying the premium omakase. The premium omakase is a 21 course session. You will experience a symphony of tastes that takes you around the world. Each piece of fish was absolutely amazing! Fresh and well crafted, very unique of an omakase course. When I'm on Colorado Blvd, usually it's pretty hectic, and if I get the chance to unwind from all the anxiety of trying to find parking, I always try to find the chance to come here, get something simple, but fresh before I tackle on some heavier food later on. And there's a lot of great dessert places nearby for a sweet treat after. They only had seating outside when we came, so I recommend making a reservation if you want to sit inside. Because were were outside, I think our service was slower. It was harder to get our waitress's attention. We split the the Chef #1 and Chef #2 rolls. I really recommend these rolls if you're looking for a delicious assortment. The spicy tuna and eel sushi were notably good, and the shrimp tempura provided a flavorful crunch. Ok so we came here for the premium omakase, which I think you're paying more for the experience rather than the meal. The sushi was definitely good, but nothing completely out of this world to warrant the amount of money we dished out. Omakase is $300 per person for the premium, then we got a bottle of sake for $80. We also had to pay extra for the nice wasabi. All in all after tip this meal was over $900. I've been to Nobu, Kaviar, Matsuhisa, etc etc and this was way more pricy. I'm glad we came here bc I've been wanting to try for a while, but definitely my last time doing the omakase. Next time I'll pick my own food (btw the Abalone was chewy and nasty). Service and attention was incredible, definitely a plus. I also get that it's part of the experience to yell and scream when someone enters, but jesus they were soooooo loud. Pipe it down a bit, I'm about to spend 1k on sushi and maybe even more on having my ear drums blown out. Also for the amount of money, idk if I'm that comfortable having someone watch me eat my food.
