If you're anywhere near Union Square, do yourself a favor and stop by Sutter St. Cafe inside 450 Sutter! The moment you walk into the building, the warm, inviting aroma of toasted bagels fills the air, setting the tone for a fantastic breakfast or lunch experience. They have an impressive variety of daily specials and a great selection of breakfast and lunch options. We arrived early and were treated to Joe's signature hospitality--get there before 11 AM, and he'll even toss in a hash brown patty! It's those little touches that make this place stand out. The coffee, tea, and cold beverages are all excellent, perfect for pairing with whatever delicious meal you choose. Joe and his team truly make this place special. Their customer service is top-notch--always serving with a smile and a friendly chat that makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit. The seating area is on the smaller side, but there are a few eat-in tables if you want to stay. We opted to take our order to go, which worked out perfectly. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite before work or looking for a solid breakfast or lunch in the city, Sutter St. Cafe is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! --And as an added bonus--you can see one of the last operating public pay phones just outside the front door door!

My wife found this Cafe during a recent visit to San Francisco. Sutter St. Cafe was a block or so from our hotel. Cafe is in the bottom of an office building and is a hidden gem. Lady running the cafe is very friendly and efficient. My wife and I received our breakfast sandwiches very quickly and was very reasonable price wise. If you need a quick breakfast, it's a quality visit.

The photos on the walls are neat too

Food was excellent and well prepared! The service was excellent, the gentleman was really kind & welcoming to my family and I. Best deli spot I found here next to my hotel. This was a cute shop as my wife says :) I recommend it if you want a bomb deli sandwich

super friendly service, the vibe is comforting! Almost reminds me of an nyc cafe... Got the Sutter street burrito, talk about full of bacon the way the burritos are done here are fire, the perfect amount of bacon burrito, like the bacon is the main ingredient in it and egg is on the top! The perfect way !!

Pastrami salami combo sandwich, gluten free bread - AMAZING

This was the only cafe in the area that I could find with gluten free bread which is what led me here. You enter through a parking garage on Sutter Street and follow the signs to a door which will lead you to a very small and cute cafe with a not so small menu. There were over a dozen sandwich options all which could be made with gluten free bread! They LOADED this sandwich with meat and sauce and that is truly my love language. I tried the pastrami salami combo sandwich and it was better than I expected. I wanted to go back the next day but sadly they are closed on the weekend. This place is perfect for all of your quick sandwich needs.

I've been coming to this building for doctors appt the last year and a half and today was my first time stopping for food. I'm so glad I did! It's a cute little cafe located on the first floor by the parking garage entrance. It's a little tight but perfect for a quick bite. The server was so friendly bummed I didn't get his name. The hash brown was cook to perfection- crispy and not soggy or oily. I got a regular coffee with half and half creamer and what I believe was the sutter st combo wrap. I added onion and chipotle mayo. Definitely hit the spot. Price was reasonable for the area. I would for sure come back and try one of their deli sandwiches. Come check them out if you are ever in the area. They also have some grab and go options like cheese and yogurts:)

Tiny cafe situated inside an office building that houses a Wells Fargo Bank on Sutter street. Amazing breakfast items, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches and salads. Cafe has a few tables to sit if you want to stay and enjoy your meal at the Cafe. Definitely a spot for a moderately priced place to eat.

I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. The sandwich was hard to eat bc it fell apart easily. On the lighter side, but I appreciate the Korean twist to it! The egg is steamed and they have a bacon/onion jam. Whether you are in the mood for a katsu sando, curry over rice, ochazuke with their matcha twist, or something sweet like the matcha cream pie, it is hard to go wrong here. All of the savory dishes I have tried have been great, but the fish katsu sando is one of my absolute favorites. The huge fish fillets are perfectly fried and flaky, tucked inside pillowy shokupan and topped with tangy yuzu shio koji sauce, tomato spread, and fresh crunchy cabbage. Every component works together beautifully, with richness, brightness, and texture all in balance. The pork katsu curry over rice is another standout. The katsu comes sliced into thick pieces that are still juicy inside, and it is fried expertly so the breading stays attached as you eat it. The curry has a really balanced flavor, even if I would not mind a little more spice, while the pickled radishes provide a nice contrast. I always add an onsen egg (for an additional $2) because breaking the runny yolk and mixing it into the curry adds another layer of velvety richness and creaminess. You can also tell they use high-quality matcha in their drinks, so the beverage menu is really more about choosing what fits your mood that day vs avoiding any bad options. Stonemill Matcha is a great option for a grabbing a drink on the go, a full blown sit down meal, a quick dessert stop or all of the above!

My babka was plated on a dainty ceramic dish, which matched the old-school European cafe vibes. The babka was light and fluffy, yet the outside was crisp and buttery like a croissant. The salted chocolate layers folded into the pastry were the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the chocolate tasted high-quality. One babka could have probably been split into two servings, especially if you want to try multiple items, but I didn't leave behind a single crumb. All around us, the other diners seemed to be enjoying a full-scale brunch with savory pastries and what appeared to be a Turkish breakfast platter. It all smelled wonderful, so I'll have to explore more of the menu on my next visit. I enjoyed the mahlab cake a day later and was amazed that it retained its delicate and light texture. The icing was lightly flavored with orange, cherry, and floral notes, and the presentation was so elegant. The cake was the perfect accompaniment to my afternoon cup of tea. While I'm on a mission to try as many of SF's bakeries as I can, I am looking forward to returning to Loquat.
