Woke up early on a Saturday for once!! We got there at around 10am and the line was not too bad. Front of the line within 15 minutes for seating at the bar right in front of the large TV streaming the latest World Cup game! For starters, you gotta have some mimosas for brunch. I got the Sweet Mimosa which essentially contains great champagne and raspberry lemonade for $9. Loved my drink with the rest of my meal. The BF got the Beermosa. The wheaty beer taste was definitely more on the subdued side but still a great drink nonetheless especially for day drinking. Next comes the main entree of omelettes! The marguerite omelette was VERY filling. It was basically a marguerite pizza but in egg form. Loved the cheesiness, well seasoned mushrooms and hints of tomatoes. The potato medley were mostly crispy and a huge portion as well. Some were more salty than others but balance is key in the end. The toast was also a great carb addition, especially with butter and raspberry jam! BF's Hass omelette came with essentially the same components but with pico as well. I definitely liked his omelette more with the bits of bacon in each bite and the lovely avocado mixed in. Overall, great service, great food and amazing environment. Yay 3 yrs to us, but boo the bf for working the rest of the day away -_- We got there around 10:30am, plenty of metered parking. There was quite a few ppl already waiting, we added our names to the list. Everyone working there was Thai lol We waited around...20 mins before we sat at the bar. We ordered Bermuda French toast with mixed berries, sunnyside up eggs, and the millionaire bacon- the toast was nice and fluffy and crunchy on the outside. Perfect! Definitely needed th syrup though, which made it really good. The eggs were extra add-ons so I could try the bacon. The bacon was very "Asian"....sweet...chewy...thick....kind of like jerky. Came here today for a late breakfast (~1:15pm), and the wait was around 30 minutes! I was soo hungry but I think the wait was worth it! Asparagus blackstone Benedict: so yummy!!! My poached eggs were a little over done but still runny. There's millionaires bacon included in this dish so that's a plus. If you've never tried it, the millionaires bacon is basically a thick cut, fatty and sweet bacon that's super delicious and packed with flavor! It may get a little sweet for some people but I really enjoy it! Also, the rainbow potatoes they give you on the side are really good. Crunchy and salty, just how I like them! I would say they're just short of 4 star brunch place. Finally came to Sweet Maple after a friend of mine had told me about it close to 2 years ago! They do have quite a wait...it was about a 1:30 wait on Sunday afternoon for a party of 3. It was a little heavy on the onion and with three of us sharing all the plates, that's mostly what was left over on the plate. I'm not a huge fan of french toast, but it was very good here. It was cooked perfectly and was very refreshing with the toppings. The benedict was also very good, the hollandaise wasn't too lemony (i'm not a big lemon person) I noticed it, but it wasn't overwhelming. The bacon was very fatty, I mean that's the point, but I don't think I'd order it again as a side, maybe it'd be good in a nice kimchi fried rice... A table of 3 men seated near us all ordered the mariner's french toast and basically inhaled them, except one guy. I assume the orders come out quickly because they know what's popular and always got one cooking (not to say that they have one sitting there waiting to be taken, but someone has ordered it by the time it's ready). The place is pretty pricey, the food was slightly above average, but too pricey for what you get IMO. The service is good, we were checked up on multiple times, and maybe they were rushing us out, but we didn't feel it. They did try to clear our table multiple times before we finished. Parking on a Sunday afternoon is difficult, but so is the entire rest of the surrounding 3 mile radius. But you can probably find something. Stood in the long line again on a beautiful Saturday morning-ish. This time, just my friend and I. We were able to be seated within 30-40 minutes (not bad considering how intimidating that line looks). Recommend just hopping in line, it'll go by pretty fast. I saw this place pop up on 'best places in San Francisco' and it did not disappoint! Food was impeccable and so flavorful. Their potatoes are to die for and so is their Matcha latte. Their cappuccino is amongst the best I've ever had. Only downside is that the line to be seated was wrapped down the street (but it went by quickly) and the prices are quite ridiculous for the amount of food. I have not attended Sweet Maple since they closed down for a bit and did some renovations. Before that, their location had about 20 tables of 4 with bar seating. If you are going on a weekend, parking will be tough and you will wait at least an hour to get seated. This place is popular, but also worth the wait. This place is tasty! I have honestly tried all of their Egg Benedict options besides the vegetarian options. They are absolutely my favorite on the menu. (Don't ask me which one because it really depends on my mood!) All of my friends are a huge fan of the Big Hip which is a french toast dish. I don't necessarily like sweets for breakfast, but this is pretty darn good to also share for a brunch dessert. Their Frisco and South of the Border scrambles are also something I would recommend. Last but not least, you MUST try their Millionaire's Bacon. They are known for it, and I can for sure say that the flavor and texture is absolutely rich and easy to eat. It only comes with two strips so definitely order it on the side to try/share. Their service is okay. It is not their fault that they are so busy, but it would be nice to have someone be a bit more attentive. The food is also good and usually comes out at a good pace, but I wouldn't say it is the best I've ever tried. They have items that completely standout and others that I would get here, but probably from somewhere else too. After a rather long morning driving from Fairfield to San Francisco (encountering heavy morning traffic on Veteran's Day along westbound Highway 37) with an extended stop at Battery Spencer for great views of the Golden Gate Bridge at sunrise (highly recommended, by the way...so much better than the views from Vista Point), we set out for Sweet Maple after our daughter, visiting from OK for a Spartan Race outside Sacramento, pretty much begged us to go. She said she saw it on Discovery Channel and it looked so good, especially the Millionaire's Bacon. It didn't occur to me until now...being a vegetarian, what would she know about bacon? We knew the place opened at 8:00 AM and we arrived at 8:17, having snagged a 2-hour free street parking. We must've just missed the first wave of diners as we had to wait about 23 minutes and we weren't seated until 8:40. By the time we were seated, there was a growing line of folks behind us already. We ordered Asparagus Blackstone omelet for my wife and daughter (the vegetarian) had Blackstone eggs Benedict sans bacon. I ordered scrambled eggs with a side of millionaire's bacon. The omelet and the scrambled eggs came with mixed potatoes (sweet potatoes, regular potatoes and what looked like Okinawan sweet potatoes) and ciabatta au levain toast. We all loved our dishes! The wife loved the mixed potatoes and both the wife and daughter couldn't stop raving about the hollandaise sauce...and how their entire plate had multilayered flavors...with just the right amount of sweet, salty, spicy...dare I say, umami? And we haven't even discussed the mythical Millionaire's Bacon...a thick cut of meaty, brown sugar glazed cured pork belly done in a way (like Asian barbeque flavor) I have not sampled before. That was some good bacon! Oh yeah, my wife also raved about the orange marmalade. This was also the only place I've seen a Sriracha and sun dried tomato ketchup. Service was efficient and friendly, except for a momentary lapse when we had to initially ask for coffee refills. The place was busy but the staff ensured service quality wasn't compromised. Breakfast for 3 with two coffees and tea came out to just over $87 with tip! Literally the best breakfast I've ever had! The millionaires bacon is a must! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ordered French toast, a breakfast sandwich, coffee and a chai latte. Everything was absolute perfection. I can't wait to come back! read more
