The Sweetfin is a convenient chain for quick bites in DTLA. I've tried few of their signature poke bowls, decent quality and affordable prices, about $15~$20 per order. You can also build your own bowls. Classic Tuna - **** miso sesame shoyu, red onion, togarashi, avocado, seaweed salad, bean sprouts, pickled ginger, light and fresh taste, recommend Shiitake Chile Tofu - *** miso sesame shoyu sauce, chile oil, cilantro, rapini, pickled fresno, vegetarian option

Great healthy food concept! But very bad prep & presentation (you can compare pix posted). To begin with, I ordered ahead due to lack of parking in that area. So I was hoping to just do a pick up. The food was not ready when I arrived and it took a little longer than expected to prep it even though the place was empty. The Salmon was not fully baked; just warmed. The server was nice in allowing me to substitute the kale salad for cauliflower rice yet the rice was cold. The salmon was lukewarm & not very tasty. Despite my being hungry, I did not enjoy this bowl. This is unusual for me because when I am hungry, everything tastes good! What is good at this establishment, is their spicy tuna poke bowl. Have had that before & reason why I returned but I definitely do not recommend the salmon bowl.

I am a fan of Sweetfin! There is nothing like a high quality poke bowl made with so much creativity an interesting flavors on a lunch break! The first time I had delivery from here, I tried their truffled Yuzu albacore bowl with mushrooms and bamboo rice. The fish was so creamy, fresh, and the bamboo rice, light, and fragrant. I had it with a side of Sriracha mayo which gave it even more creamy richness! The next bowl I tried was a Yuzu salmon poke bowl with black rice and their citrus kale salad. The fish and veggies was incredibly fresh. However, I will stick to the bamboo rice for next time since the black rice was a bit heavy and the citrus kale a little too tart for my taste. Service was on point by ensuring my order was accurate and that it was packed carefully for delivery. The restaurant is small, but it looks clean and more ideal for delivery or pick up than dine in. I feel very lucky this place is so close to work!

It was good. The fish didn't taste super fresh but the flavors from the rest of the bowl were good. I got a to-go order and the service was great! The workers were very kind and attentive. I didn't notice until later but they did forgot to add ginger to my bowl . Other then that everything was correct

Honestly I had better poke bowls in other places. Wasn't a big fan of Sweetfin ... not sure if I'll eat here again. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing the poke. They are pretty accurate. The only thing I liked a lot was the rice and maybe the yuzu sauce. The rest was ehhhhh .... The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe to it, customer service was ok. Small portions ... paid $32 for two bowl that was supposedly the large size, other places that's the small size. Anyway read some of the recent reviews before stopping by.

I just ordered this through Uber eats. Because I work down the street from DTLA. I am totally in love with their Bamboo Rice, first time I had it. I ordered a Large Build Your Own Bowl with Salmon and Albacore and I enjoyed it. But like the other reviews, the large is actually quite small ( Would be a small at other places). The Hibiscus drink was also refreshing. I would order from here again, but order 2 large bowls!

Hi, which sauce doesn't have sugar in it? Thanks!

Hi Lina - the only sauces with sugar in them are our Sriracha Ponzu and Ponzu Lime sauces. The other sauces do not have added sugar.

What's bamboo rice and what's forbidden rice?

Hi Krissy! Bamboo Rice is a short-grain white rice that is milled with bamboo shoots - giving it a green tint and making it rich in chlorophyll and b-vitamins. Forbidden Rice is a black rice, somewhat similar to brown rice in flavor, but rich in…

At first I thought it was a bit too spicy for me, but then as I ate more, I realized it was perfect. It had a lot of unusual (for me at least) shellfish, mussels, bits of octopus, and shrimp. The udon was enjoyable as well. Sue liked the Raman, though she still likes the one at Ajito in Cupertino better. I also had a salmon skin handroll, as I can't resist those and this we a very solid and tasty one. They make their hand rolls as cylinders instead of cones, which was a first for me. It was still fine; I guess geometry isn't what makes it good or bad. We were too hungry to remember to take a picture. But I would go back and be a regular if I lived in this area. Back in the SF Bay Area, a place that good would be so crowded that we would never get to go... Ambiance was what I would call a clean, modern hole in the wall even though its in a modern building, Service was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.

When the waitress came over to our table she sternly said "No outside food." I explained that my son has a special diet due to allergies (wheat, egg, soy, basically everything on a Japanese menu). It was just one small baked potato from Wendy's that we have to spoon feed him due to his poor dexterity. Believe me I hope one day he can enjoy foods like ramen (he is picky as well and won't eat sushi or even plain rice) but she replied with zero empathy and a tone of disdain: "Then he can eat it outside." We felt insulted by the rude tone directed at our 10yo boy and lack of understanding for a special needs case. She then stood there and gave us dagger eyes, impatiently waiting for us to leave. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Personal feelings aside, it is a violation of the ADA by refusing to accommodate by making reasonable modifications to rigid policies. Allowing a child with severe, life-threatening allergies to eat a safe meal while the rest of the family pays for full meals would be considered a reasonable modification.

This is one of my faves If you're gluten-free, just make sure to tell them, they're very good with it and know what's safe on the menu... including Korean FRIED CHICKEN!!! (coated in rice flour) and fries (make sure to tell them you need them GF and they'll give you the thin fries that are safe and fry them in the right fryer). Food is absolutely delicious, would be one of my favorite spots even if I was able to eat everything (confirmed by a friend who came once and still talks about it). One of my top 5 spots in LA. The "small" order of chicken is gigantic, even just that with no sides is enough to fill me up and have leftovers. The fries are good too though! They do takeout and delivery, but it's a really special small place to eat at, I love the decor and the cozy, lovely feeling of going there, and the people working there (especially the owners) are incredibly nice and welcoming. We always get the Bulgogi Fries (Fries with Cheese, Spicy Mayo, Jalapenos, a creamy salsa, onions, and LOTS of sweet bulgogi), and the Honey Garlic Wings. Also definitely recommend the original marinade or even plain (anything but boring). Seating is plentiful. Lunchtime is never too busy, which really surprised me. I love that they give us gloves. Alcohol is served too, so I think I'm gonna have to come back for a 회식 with my workplace.
