Inside is spacious and seamlessly goes from inside to outdoors, which I love because it's close to the water. Service: Getting on the waitlist is fairly easy, I appreciate the text option for check-in and letting us know when the table is ready so we were able to wait in the car or walk around. Once inside our server was pretty attentive, the kitchen was backed up, but they did their best. Food: They have a great happy hour / taco Tuesday. Never any complaints about the food or drinks. Very weird even leaving this review because this is usually such a cool stop for a quick bite and a drink. Yesterday i stopped by the cantina area. I sat down for about 15 mins before anyone even acknowledged me. When the server finally did i assumed it was just a busy hour and it wasn't a big issue. But then i sat there for another 10 and realized, i wasn't even offered water or chips and salsa. Actually no one ever came back. I eventually walked out. It was very weird because i love this place. But i won't be going back, made a post about it on my social media and everyone wants me to tag the restaurants name. Located inside of the shoreline village. The parking can be only for $2 if you leave within 2 hours with restaurants' validation. We hardly able to get waitresses attention to place our orders. We ended up walking all the way to the bar and communicating with bartenders instead for our food. That's the reason for the missing one star. The drinks are just as strong as I like it to be. The food was amazing. Everything was perfect, and the corn bread was a pleasant surprise. The service was almost perfect. We were a large party and they took our orders promptly, delivered it quickly, and the orders were all correct (that's a first!). There is an automatic gratuity of 18% for parties over 6 or 8 (I cannot recall) and checks cannot be split, so be aware. The ambiance was wonderful. We couldn't sit outside since large parties cannot be accommodated, but we sat near the outside and could somewhat see the sunset. The music was trendy and there is an exit to shoreline village which was convenient. There is parking validation for 2 hours. If you have time left (out of the 2 hours) after eating, I would explore before validating. You only get a grace period after validation before you have to pay for parking. Like I mentioned, service is an ease, so you can accommodate an hour to eat and an hour to explore. Overall, I liked it. Came in on a Thursday, a little different routine for me, I frequent this place on Fridays, or the weekends and usually sit the bar if I'm solo. I came in for lunch a drink, weather was perfect and wanted to chill. There were a couple very intoxicated guys sitting across from me, just truly disturbing the peace, just loud, vulgar and perhaps they shouldn't have been served any additional alcohol. One of them approached me during my lunch and harassed me for my phone number, wouldn't leave me alone to the point that I had to give him fake number just to that I get passed him. I had to make a hand gesture to one of female servers from another section since the bartender did nothing. I felt threatened, unsafe and this guy was just all over space. There was no management, or servers checking on on me. Luckily, one of the female servers had great situational awareness and helped me get out of there. I didn't feel safe and was not happy with the bartender on durty yesterday, the regular guy wouldn't have allowed this to happen. read more

Both have Happy Hour at that time, which was why we were there. Service was 10/10. Great hostess and waitress. Very friendly and attentive. Ambiance 10/10. Beautiful harbor views. Nice atmosphere. Food was ok. Really good chips and salsa. My happy hour quesadilla was excellent and I ordered a house salad which was also good. My companion got the happy hour chicken strips (not even edible). He ordered a side of fries with it (it's not included) and those weren't great either. It was probably 10 more dollars than Yard House would have been for the same items. However, I would probably give it another chance. But my suggestion would be that since they are competing with the Yard House HH that they level up on that end. The menu (see my photos) lists a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, specialties, desserts, etcetera. On a Friday evening, the restaurant was very busy with customers, so I felt very thankful that the seating hostess quickly found a table for my husband and me and that the waitress quickly and courteously served us. Throughout the service, the waitress automatically brought multiple drink refills. At the end, she told us thank you and to have a great night. Here are my reviews for the foods: Tortilla chips with salsa - 4 stars - The tortilla chips were nicely crispy. The salsa was moderately spicy. Guacamole - 4.5 stars - This guacamole was prepared freshly at the tableside. It contained onions, cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, and lime. The employee left out the tomatoes at my husband's request. Shrimp burrito - 3.5 stars - This burrito contained lots of shrimp as well as beans, onions, cilantro, cheeses, and sauce. The ingredients were abundant and fresh, and the flavors were OK. Fajita - 4 stars - My husband customized his fajita with chicken and carne asada. The meat was juicy, and my husband appeared to enjoy the flavors. On the side were rice, beans, and corn pudding. Solid spot for happy hour from 3-6pm at Shoreline Village. They've got deals on both food and drinks. The restaurant is currently decorated for the holidays. You get complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning. The salsa is a tad spicy but tasty. The chips are thin and crisp, slightly warm. The happy hour drinks include a selection of beer, margarita, well drinks, and wine. For an extra $3, you can make a michelada. The pork sliders were really good because the pulled pork was drenched in bbq sauce. I can't say much about the coleslaw because it was plain without the mayo dressing (so just cabbage). Their house fried tortilla chips could have been gd but were cross contaminated because they don't have a separate frier. Meaning no appetizers for the 30+ minute wait. Their lime and cilantro dressing supposedly had wheat, and they were unable to verify leaving just regular buffet line dressings to choose from. For having Mexican cuisine, which is normally gluten free to start, there is a whole lot of filler being used. Making an accessible cuisine into an almost entirely inaccessible place to eat if you have a food allergy. Service was good albeit slow. My burrito had almost no flavor at all, I expected at least some flavor with the green chilies sauce, but only had good flavor when I coated it with the chips salsa. Had a mango margarita, it was ok but not worth the $$ I paid for it. My first server was great, transitioned to another one right after my order and really only saw her 2 more times. It was a nice & sunny day so it was fairly crowded in the outdoor patio seats, but there were plenty of vacant tables inside the restaurant, but we managed to get a table outside anyway. The outdoor patio has a very nice atmosphere & view of the marina, so recommend you try to get a table if it's a nice day out. Despite it being somewhat crowded, the our servers were responsive & timely. We both ordered the combination plates w/ 3 choices, with chicken, taquitos, tamales, & tacos. The food was decent, but nothing really to write home about. The portion sizes were pretty big though which was nice. The highlight was definitely the frozen margaritas. They come in pretty big & heavy duty margarita glasses. so you know they mean business. Highly recommend the mango & the peach. The mango had some tajin & chamoy on the rim, while the peach had some sugar, putting it more on the sweet side. TL;DR - Food was good & drinks & service were great. Which were both good, they were satisfying to eat. The queso fundido con chorizo was a fun appetizer to dip your tortilla pieces on melted Monterey jack cheese and pair with meat. It felt nice to eat as it was warm. Service: 100/10 The service was great; we enjoyed our server Jorge and the staff that delivered our plates.
