Its $3 2 ounce pours at 3pm, $4 two ounce pours at 4pm and $5 two ounce pours at 5pm. Then everyday before 4pm $4 Rose. I ordered a hot ham and swiss sandwich and it was amazing. Surprisingly it has sauerkraut and aoili sauce but it pairs perfectly. Now this place is VERY loud and busy. My service was consistant and prompt because I sat at the bar. Oven roasted cauliflower is very tasty, even if you've tried and didn't like cauliflower before, you might enjoy it the way they prepare it. Visited for a late night dinner and the food and service were fabulous. The spinach dip was divine! We both had the fish and chips which was hot and tasty, but came out at the same time as the appetizer which was a little bit of a drag. Something was going to get cold before we got to eat it. The decor is a little old school and could use an update. The music, food, and decor are out of sync, making for an odd experience, but since we were looking for good food and service, and not a vibe, it was perfect. We cam here to grab a few drinks and split some appetizers and weren't disappointed. First off, it's a really nice atmosphere & the wait staff is very friendly. However, the waiters were pretty inattentive and took forever to take both our drink & food orders. The drinks and food also took an unusually long time to be delivered so that's why this place tops out at 4 stars. For food we ordered the Kung Pao lettuce wraps, the burrata and pistachio toast, and a burger. The lettuce wraps were very tasty-- the filling was lightly sauced and you got a ton of it so this could easily be a meal on its own. I also appreciated that they gave you enough pieces of lettuces. Too often I order lettuce wraps and you're give 3 lettuce cups to stuff the filling into which never works out. The burrata & pistachio toast was also delightful-- think a roughly ground pistachio butter with creamy burrata on top. This was a bit greasy due to the oily nuts (& it seemed like they maybe also oiled the bread when they grilled it) but overall a really nice appetizer. Overall I'd definitely come back for the food, drinks, and ambience. But if you're in a rush this may not be the place to go. read more

I was given an EXTREMELY limited menu. I was informed that the full menu "only had two more items." It took the server 15 minutes to even ask me for a drink order. During a Saturday lunch. There are only 6 tables filled. Server was disinterested. I was wrong. I ordered The Refresher, which my server recommended. The mix of orange juice and limoncello was unpleasant. I took one sip, asked my husband to try it to confirm I wasn't crazy, then gave up on it. My husbands French Toast arrived burnt. My crap and shrimp roll was THE saltiest thing I've ever tasted. In fact, I was concerned about my sodium levels and stopped eating it. The hash au gratin was basically undercooked house potatoes in a cheez-wiz sauce. The entire meal was a disappointment. I tried this restaurant for Sunday Brunch. It ends at 2:30 so I made it just in time. It wasn't crowded so it was perfect. My waitress, Alexandra was very helpful and gave great recommendations for foods to try. I was sure to order some mimosas since they were only $1.00! I ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. For my main course I ordered the Half Chicken and Frites. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. I was pleased with the taste of the food. But I wasn't a fan of how the food was plated. The presentation was sloppy. I stayed long enough to try a Happy Hour Drink. I tried the Aperol Spritz and I didn't like it at all. Overall the food was good and the service was great. Respect to yelp I will try to express my issue in to more than one word which could of been described "terrible". Inside of this "restaurant" looks very neat and welcoming; the issue starts when they come to your table to help. Asked if they had FRESH orange juice and he replied; definitely. While waiting for some time we were surprised by how not fresh the juice was and first time in my life I see 8 ice cubes in my orange juice glass; very cheap way to serve juice. We asked why it wasn't fresh since it tasted like water; they replied back that a company juices these for them and sends it to them....... Like seriously? Every orange juice package is being juiced by a company at one point, that does not define freshness. The food was really boring and bland. We paid $43 dollars for something worth $12; which was the cost of our "fresh" juice only. Very sad and disappointing, don't waste your time and most definitely don't waste your money. read more

My family just finished a late night escape room across the street and came out hungry. I've never tried The General Public before this, but it was open late, available to take a party of 10, and rated well on Yelp. We came in, and they sat us immediately, the place being kind of empty as it was the end of the night. The server was really nice/ attentive, giving recommendations and quick drinks. We decided to order almost every appetizer on the menu. By the end of the meal all that was left, was a few chicken bones, clean plates, and empty ramekins. We absolutely loved every appetizer we tried. We did not get around to entrées but if the first course was any sign, I'm sure they would be a hit as well. Told my husband I'd like to go back soon and have a full dinner next time we are in the area. I would consider this place family friendly and moderate in pricing compared to other similar restaurants, whose food is less impressive. I hate to do this but I need to take a star away. My husband ate the tortilla chili got sick. He's had a stomach ache since eating it and even missed work yesterday. He never gets sick and usually has a very strong stomach. I'm not sure what happened. Everything else was tasty and no one else in our party got sick. They got rid of the $1 mimosas They changed their happy from. 4-5-6, too 3-4-5! But let me tell you it is well worth it. At 3pm all drinks are $3... THE WHOLE BAR IS $3, then at 4pm it's $4, then at 5pm it's $5. This is only Monday-Friday! However they do have all day drinking with rose for $4 and a rusky rose which is a vodka based drink with lemon and grenadine for $4. I'm not sure if they still have the $5 burgers and bourbon deal because that was a steal. However they do have an oyster happy hour, Fresh shucked oysters for $13 w/ a drink. I think that's correct, if not it's something close too That. Every evening they do a sundown toast, where they give out complimentary shots to the entire restaurant. Besides all the liquor, the food is amazing. Try the green chili grilled cheese and have them add chicken or bacon . Also the carnival French toast is the best, it's French toast deep fried. The honey fried chicken wings are amazing, you'll only get 5 however as an appetizer. My favorite appetizer is the shishitos and shrooms, they're deep fried and comes with a chipotle type dip and I can't get enough of it. Fish and chips are a hit, ribeye is juicy, I just hate they cut the steak for you . I can talk about their food all day because I believe everything on the menu is amazing. Lastly I'll tell you that the bowling alley next door uses the exact same kitchen. And their menu is much more fun, fresh handmade pizza, cheese boards, hotdogs, cotton candy etc. the food is just as great, the cooks here are the best.
