Thank goodness something new has come to us on the east side! I am a big fan of other Tony's locations around town and was very excited to try. While I have only been into this new location for pizza, the other foods looked good! Of course the pizza was amazing! Both times I've been in, the service was fast and friendly. Their beer selection is really good. Their pizza, however, is not. It's always nice to go to a place where kids can play in a safe environment while adults eat and watch sports. My main issue with the place is the games. Very few arcade games and a lot of them broken. It seems like they have not gotten any maintenance for a while now. read more

Stopped here after our first stop didn't work out. The waitress was prompt and friendly, got our orders and drinks very quickly even with how busy the place was. We were excited to try the pizza and chicken tonight. We placed an order over the phone to be picked up. We ordered a veggie pizza and 8 piece chicken wings. The order accurate when we picked it up. It was ready within their 20 minute window. Unfortunately the pizza has about 3 pounds of under cooked veggies and the crust under the mounds of veggies was on the of raw dough. Good food but horrible service. Can't get drink orders right. I've tried several times just trying to get a consistent and correct drink. If you orders drinks to go, you better taste it before you leave because it's about a 50% chance it will be made correctly. We ate in the "banquet" hall because the place is still very cavernous and therefore, very noisy (which is not good for ADHD sufferers!). The Bubba's BBQ pizza was great and the Hawaiian pizza was, too. Our server had to be chased down (we think we got forgotten) and because of that, we were comped a basket of garlic breadstick. Oh, my! They were soooo yummy. I would order those every day take out if I didn't have a minus metabolism! I brought my mother out for a bite and truly had a great experience. She had a simple egg, country potato, and toast breakfast (served till noon) that she really enjoyed. The potatoes had grilled bell peppers and onions which smelled and tasted delicious (I had to try a bite). I had a BLTA Sandwich w/fries. The sandwich was loaded with bacon and fair amount of avocado. All & all, the food was spot on! They had a good crowd that had me expecting a possible lengthy wait for food to be served, but that wasn't the case. Staff was hustling with customers needs the entire time we were there. We had Monique D (server) tend to our table and she was "Bomb". Super friendly, and very attentive to our needs (even when we didn't need anything). I'm glad this family owned restaurant is on the east side of Bakersfield for folks there and abroad to enjoy. Keep up the good work Team Tony's Firehouse Restaurant on Hwy 178. Came here last week for a work lunch and wasn't feeling pizza so I ordered fish and chips. The fish had no flavor and was very dry. Loved the fries because they were the crinkle cut kind. I guess that's my fault for ordering something other than pizza. I did try my coworkers pizza, she got the Tony's combo and it was really good with no shortage of toppings. So if you want pizza definitely come give them a try! read more

The waiter came back once but only to watch the game on the tv next to our booth, and we didn't receive our full order. The only thing decent from there was their salad. But you can't really mess that up. My daughter and I ordered the fish and chips. I wasn't given my salad when everyone else got theirs because evidently they thought I only ordered a salad. My salad showed up when everyone else's food did. My daughters fish was raw on the inside. I'm not talking a tad undercooked, the fish was breaded frozen and cooked in a deep fryer. It was completely raw in the center. I sent it back and they sent back way over cooked fish to make sure it wasn't raw. It was gross. The coleslaw was room temperature and greasy and just plain nasty. They wound up removing mine and my daughters meals from the bill. Everyone else at the table said their meals weren't very good either. I chose to go there for my birthday. Big mistake. Keeping in mind this location has only been open a week, they really should stick to what they know...pizza! We decided to try out the breakfast menu. Pancakes were over cooked, hash browns were soggy and some of our items did not come as described. I ordered the Chilequiles, which the menu described as coming with beans and potatoes. What I got was chips with cheese and salsa next to eggs and soggy hash browns and bacon (where did that come from?) The French toast was good and the breakfast sandwich was decent. This was my first time trying Tony's Firehouse I really enjoyed the food and have went back everyday since, I have had the chicken club, bubba's bacon cheeseburger, and the fish and chips all to which were very satisfying, although the bathrooms weren't finished I feel that they had no control over that since the order for the stalls had been delayed, as to the staff I believe everyone can always use improvement and I believe they will get better as the training goes on, a system will develop and it will be a great restaurant for the East Side of town. read more

I've been eating Tonys for years so I knew the food would be top notch. Needless to say the Owner apologized for the delay and comped my entire meal! Tony's seems to get better each time we visit. This time it was for Sunday breakfast / brunch. I ordered what most restaurants call a French Toast sandwich where you get about a half order of French toast, eggs and usually a couple slices of bacon or sausage links. Not Tony's! I got a huge plate of French toast and what I would consider a full breakfast most other places: 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon and a large serving of country fried potatoes. All the food was pretty tasty and their coffee is hot and good. I'm always concerned when I order French toast because most places think if a little cinnamon is good lots of cinnamon is better. But Tony's has a nice hint of cinnamon without being overpowering. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is that service can be a little spotty. Our waitress was very nice but we had to wait quit awhile to get our check. Otherwise it was a great place for breakfast. read more

Today was the second time we have eaten at this Tony's. The first time we got pizza and it was pretty good although the beer is wayyyy over priced! Today was not so good. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast and there was hardly any steak. It literally had a thin line of meat in the middle of the thick breading. It was wayyyyy overlooked. The breading was burnt dry and crumbly. The hash browns were horrible. They looked like potatoes that had been shredded yesterday and sat out and turned that nasty grayish brown color then they slapped it in some oil for a few seconds and threw them on the plate. They were soggy and tasted horrible. I will be posting pictures so you can see. Also my coffee mug was coated in old coffee it seemed. Looked like someone had drank coffee out of the cup for a month straight without ever washing it. It wasn't just stained I could scrape the cup and the stuck on grime came off. I will be moving around the corner from this Tony's here soon and was hoping this could be a regular place we could go but so far it doesn't look like that's going to happen. read more

I was extremely excited to try this place and bring my kids soccer team I coach. We arrive it was about 20 of us to have to some pizza and cheer team up after a loss in the final. The wait time was extremely long, pizza is pricey and worst of all, I had the worst customer service I have ever had and it came from the owner of the restaurant. Extremely rude and thinks he can talk to customers any way he wants. When I went to confront him he didn't even want to apologize for disrespecting our group. This could have been our new spot after games but Never returning to this location. read more

To start off with I was not expecting to be eating at a diner much less a pizza pub. I guess the name firehouse grill is a suggested theme more than a style of cooking. I ordered the new your strip and baked potato with steamed broccoli. Hubby ordered the cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. And two Pepsi's with extra ice. Waitress brought us two drinks with 3 ice cubes split between them. The clam chowder soup was Luke warm and his salad was a big helping of lettuce with pizza topping veggies on top. When we complained about the lack of ice the waitress snapped up our drinks and returned what seemed like an eternity later with a cup filled with ice and the smallest amount of soda you could put in the cup. When the meal finally came one bite into the baked potato and it was old and too dry and clumpy to absorb butter. When I asked for a fresher baked potato the waitress asked if I would rather have mashed potatoes and I said no. What she brought was mashed potatoes stuffed back into the skin with bacon bits and other things to throw in. It was gross. We paid way too much for what we got and left with zero interest in ever going back. read more

My fiance and I came here and were not disappointed. The place is huge, plenty of big screen tv's and an all around great atmosphere. The food was delicious, and all at a reasonable price. Unfortunate that the restaurant actually opened. I come home to an unhappy family that was excited to try this place. Not only is it not finished, the staff was oblivious to any type of even mediocre service. The staff needs to be trained. The bathrooms need to be finished. Myself, my husband and mother in law visited your establishment 11/22 I ordered your hand breaded fish and chips and my husband ordered your homemade chili burger. Both were Neither Homemade Or hand breaded. Both were very sub-par and I don't appreciate being tricked into buying something I know would be disgusting if there was a truthful menu. its not hard to spot a processed, square, tough, dry store bought fish stick. It definitely wasn't the hand breaded cod fillet described on the menu. As for my husbands Home made chili. WOW! you should have just served it in the can there is nothing fresh or homemade about that chili. Its congealed consistency and processed red color gave away its truth instantly. Not to mention the intense bell pepper and mashed bean flavor made it almost inedible. my mother in law got a steak and it was quiet good. We have been to this estblishment a few times and have never had a great experience. But its close to the house and convenient but if you're going to deceive your guests on the menu I promise you will lose any business you may have. read more

Had the Chile Size with Onion Rings, the patty and bun were good quality and tasty. The chile tasted like Dennisons out of the can, the cheese was practically flavorless and the onion rings were slightly undercooked. The service was good and friendly the restaurant itself was nice and clean. Might have to try this place again, had a lot of interesting sounding items on the menu, just chile out of the can leaves me cold at least spice it up (jalapeños) and some quality cheese. read more

Ok so I actually love this place the food is great well most of it my favs are the biscuits and gravy and the 2 topping pizza both pepperoni ( that would make it a two topping pizza with the second topping being pepperoni as well ) makes sense right? and for some reason they can not do that??? It's called extra pepperoni even if I pay for it lol and they are not allowed remind you I have done this every time in every location and for some reason tonight it was not allowed.... really??? I just had it from this same location last week and the girl was more then happy to fulfill my request. I'm super irritated with this.
