We got two chicken bowls. I took a few bites and stopped eating. The chicken has a really bad taste. The after taste was unbearable. I tried masking it with a bunch of sauces but the taste of the chicken made me want to throw up. I didn't eat my food. It's either the quality of the chicken or they didn't handle it well. During our Disneyland trip we wanted something a little more reasonably priced than Disney and to spend some time indoors out of the sun in our hotel. Our office loves waba grill and sadly this delivery experience was such poor professionalism. The staff needs to get trained on how to deal with refund transactions and overall find a different way to have delivery orders complete. Our food was good as always, but we were not brought our drinks. When asked about them out loud the driver walked away as if she didn't hear anything. One of us had to go chase her outside and ask about the drinks the only respond from her was "I have more deliveries, I can't go back, they can just refund you "(With such a rude vibe, teach your driver about customer service) She came in to give us our food with no smile and just walked away) When I called waba grill the cashier was trying her best to find a solution that she even offered to bring them after the driver came back. Unfortunately, by then we were going to be finished eating, so instead we requested to get a refund for the drinks. She then calls back and says her manager asked her to DROP OFF THE MONEY AFTER WORK IN CASH? I was shocked because who would ask an employee to do that on their way home... So, I said no that I wanted the refund on my card. It became a call back and forth on not being able to refund. Something about the manager (jesus) saying the transaction went through and there was no way back. Which didn't make sense, anyway I kept saying the same thing over and over about my refund on my card, finally we were told the refund was going to come back but hasn't yet. I LOVE waba grill. Such a simple menu yet tons of flavor. Even in a busy area like Anaheim, I was still greeted immediately and my order did not take long at all. The restaurant was pretty clean for the most part but I did not check out the bathroom. I like the people they hire at Waba, they are all usually really friendly. When this one first opened last year it was great! But lately the quality has gone way down! I ordered the salmon plate every week and it was delicious. In the past 4 months the salmon tastes old or dirty or maybe its farm raised but it has no flavor anymore so this week I switched to the steak plate. It was cold like the steak had been sitting off to the side for a long time. the lettucs was completely wilted and shriveled up so I had to put the meat in the microwave and throw the salad away. In the midst of a pandemic, I expected extra precautions to be taken by the employees, however, I was startled by the lack of cleanliness fulfilled by management. I should note that this particular location is near an amusement park where it is expected for many tourists to enter the establishment, which raises expectations, though I was thoroughly disappointed. I entered the building noticing a handful of red flags: cooks and the manager without masks, no regulations for the entry of customers without the use of masks, as well as the lack of professionalism. I definitely did not feel comfortable eating at this location and was surprised by the number of people entering without following the state and county regulations. As I waited for my food, I noticed a conversation in the corner of the restaurant with individuals not wearing masks. As a visitor to Anaheim, I became aware of the rising number of cases in this city, with this city in particular leading within the county, and with instances like so being the main contributor. Now, this is a matter of safety, especially when consuming food, I don't think anyone would like to pose a risk to themselves when that should be the last thought in their minds when purchasing food. My coworker and I were looking for an inexpensive place to eat lunch within walking distance of our hotel. We found the WaBa Grill and decided to go. My coworker ordered the Chicken Plate and I ordered the WaBa Plate. Both come with a small kale salad, slice of orange and rice. Mine had both Chicken and Beef. Having eaten at another WaBa Grill before, the food here was consistent a tasty. The WaBa Sauce is good. The food was plenty for a lunch, and the restaurant was clean. If you are looking for something other than a burger, give WaBa Grill a try. Their price is reasonable and the food is good. read more

Great alternative to not bringing your lunch to work. Many protein choices from salmon, shrimp, beef, and chicken. Bowls/plates come with rice and/or veggies. The sauce they use is pretty flavorful so it will help those that have trouble trying to hit the healthier options of menus that are usually lacking in flavor. This location is nicely kept (at least during my visit) and the cashier was helpful in answering my questions and making recommendations. I really enjoyed my salmon, veggies, and rice dish. Good amount of food given and they let you choose the type of rice. If you are trying to keep extra healthy, bring your own water. I'm sure they provide those little water cups though if you forget. There are other options like adding avocado to your dish and other sides. Parking was okay, but can get tricky exiting due to careless drivers. read more

Came in to pick up 10 minutes later, the cashier lady said they havent made my order because they were afraid it would turn cold by the time Im there, fair enough. I waited for 10 minutes, people who were in line behind me got their orders first. Another 10 minutes, im too hungry for this wait, came up to ask the cashier to check up on my order. Turned out the cashier forgot to tell the kitchen to start my order and they said they would start now. The point of carry-out order is to avoid the wait time. Many other franchises often have problems with keeping the overall cleanliness up to par, but this group of employees does a great job. Second, is the food. Been here many times now and the food is always great and fresh. The interior is always clean. Service is quick and friendly. The staff is friendly and always greet you. But the reason for 3 starts is because they leave their front doors open all the time and flies come in and if you are eating there you will see a minimum of 3-5 flies flying around. Like really?? I ordered the small chicken bowl & soft drink to go. I got back to work with my food and went to eat it... the chicken was undercooked and very chewy. Even though that was bad it wasn't even the worst thing... there was chewy skin and fat all over most of the pieces! Disgusting!! How could they not see that?! If they claim this to be healthy it's not.. especially because the chicken was brown meat. I will never come back and I will make sure that my co-workers don't go even though I work down the street. My first week here in California and we came upon this little fast food restaurant next to our hotel. We called in for a delivery but the cashier said it'll be like a 35 min or maybe less wait so I just said never mind we're across the street we'll pick it up and eat there so we did. Their only combination is chicken and steak but I wanted Shrimp and salmon but as Orlando explain he'll recommend to get a shrimp plate and side of salmon and to get a half avocado and he said it'll taste amazing. He was not wrong! Very helpful in helping my family and I deciding on what to get! And we only paid 45 dollars. Inexpensive place. I 100 percent recommend. read more

This waba grill is one of the best ones out there. I live in Anaheim, so I tend to go to the Anaheim location. But since I worked nearby, I would head over there for my lunch. Their place is nice and clean, and the food is always fresh and great tasting. I've never had a problem with this place, unlike the Anaheim location. Also, their avocados are always bright green and fresh. Definitely one of the best places to get avocados at! Never had a problem with staff or getting my orders wrong. Since you won't open your food until you get home they take advantage of you or get it delivered. Don't order delivery ! Unless you want half of a bowl and 8 g of chicken. Tried the new location the other night and service was not that great. When i ordered food, the girl taking the order did not compute. My orders was messed up and the cook had to fix it cause she couldn't be found. Food is good like any other location, but service needs improvement. This Waba location recently opened. It is kept fairly clean and the workers are always hustling. Quality is great, always fresh. Only thing that could improve involves service. The cashiers are very sweet and friendly, however their English speaking and understanding is not the best. Occasionally you have to repeat yourself several times while ordering.
