I really enjoy the environment here. The food is not spectacular but there are some very tasty things on the menu. I don't like how happy hour is over by 6 because I get off at 5 and there is traffic. It gets pricey if you go outside of happy hour and order drinks also. When it's not happy hour, I will get an appetizer, a cheeseburger with truffle fries and a side caesar salad. That will be around $25 so not bad. read more

Disappointing. PRICEY. Service was lacking. For the four of us food was rushed to our table by 3 different waiters. Our orders got switched. 3 of us order the same thing prepared differently. This place is your typical sports bar type of restaurant. My friends and I came here so we could grab food and watch the celtics and heat play. We were there for happy hour from 9:30pm-11pm. I got the tortilla soup which was super good to start. We shared the half price pizzas: spicy Thai chicken and BBQ chicken, and the fried calamari. Food was good. solid solid solid happy hour... great selection of beers and appetizers, and man does this place get crowded early on a Friday with everyone wanting to unwind early. The beers here are varied and excellent, and the food is really good. Truffle fries are a good find on the menu, but also look for the fromboise lambic ice cream float which is a mainstay in my house. I would suggest getting here early (around 5pm) to grab a seat, otherwise you may be waiting for quite a while. Service is excellent here, with both indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Came here for dinner on a weekend. It was jam-packed with a wait. It's really loud in there. Food was good. Beer selection was very good too. We both ordered "beer flights". I wouldn't recommend those though because the small glasses get warm very quickly. I'd come back and try their happy hour sometime. read more

This is my favorite chill spot/restaurant in Houston! I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Honestly, I get super tipsy from the martinis, purposely. I get all the flavors that sound appealing, which is why I specifically go during the week for happy hour, so I can get cheaper drinks and appetizers lol. I get at least 10 martinis, and no I don't drive home! They are delicious. The hamburgers, fries and majority of appetizers are all worth the wait, price and visit. I have mixed feelings about yardhouse. On the one hand, their happy hour is great because it's half off appetizers, each of which are pretty filling. Their selection of beers is also great, and their servers are pretty knowledgable about beer to help you out if you are indecisive like me. On the other hand, the service is SO SLOW, and the food is only mediocre despite the generous portions. I guess the saving grace is the sports bar feel to it that attracts patrons left and right during game times. Just go if the game you're watching happens to fall during happy hour. Otherwise, not worth your money. Also, since the service is so slow, you end up staying there longer than you want to, which frustrates me because I want to be a good customer and tip decently, but the shittier the service gets, the less I'm willing to tip. Anyway, if you take anything from this review, only go during happy hour and go if you want to try different kinds of beer. read more

My recent trip there, we sat outside and it was nice. The waiter wasnt amazing but we were in no rush. This place is always a hit or miss. I only force myself to come here when I'm with a few friends who really want to go and everywhere else is closed. Sometimes the service is decent, sometimes the service is very slow and tedious. The fish tacos are really good, the lo mein dish sucks. I don't know why, but the music is always turned up really loudly. If you come with a group, expect to just stare at each other's faces and sip a beer because you're not going to be able to hear anyone. The only redeeming qualities of this place is the location and the late happy hour. read more

Probably best to go during happy hour (Mon - Fri 3-6pm).The drinks are cheaper and you can get plenty of food for around half off. The chicken tenders are tasty. Very broad beer selection to choose from. The food selection is just as the beer selection. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like so far. They get very busy, especially after work but you can call ahead. It's a great place to go and watch a football game. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My brother was in town and he wanted to see the new City Centre area so we decided to go on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't packed at all which was nice. At first we were going to sit outside since it was nice out but then the sun started to come out. The waitress was very nice and moved us indoors. They have tons of food and beers to choose from; the waitress was very knowledgeable and recommended this great beer for the girls. I can't remember the name of it now but it was fantastic! Everytime I come here I am never disappointed. I usually call ahead and make reservations because waiting for a table is horrible. I've tried probably everything on the happy hour menu from pizzas to sandwiches. The mini souffle is amazing if you want a small desert. The parmesan french fries have a garlic flavor to them which are also a great side to get. The bartender will also give you a few free drinks if you stay for a while and if your a daily customer. It was okay, nothing special but the food came out shortly after we ordered. The drinks were superb too. Tried the Yard House again after our recent experience at the Phoenix location. Over priced bar food! The service was awful. Our waiter was slow and wasn't a happy person. You could tell he didn't want to work. After waiting 15 minutes to order we almost walked out of the restaurant. My side order of fries didn't come out with the meal and had to ask a food runner.
