    The Chopt Greek Salad

The chopt on 56th between Park and Madison is the best!!! I've been going there for over a year and I'm never disappointed. Jackie and Naim, usually make my salad. I recommend the chopt Greek. Aretha the manager is efficient, keeps the line going and keeps it professional even in the midst of a crowd. The ambiance looks healthy so you feel no guilt of unhealthy food lol and it's clean. I suggest you try this chopt bc I'm going again!

I ordered from here recently. A custom wrap. And it had a long dark hair in it. I'm puking a little as I type this. Horrible.

I'm having the Chicken Tinga which is excellent! Joyce built her own which she says is excellent as well.

I ordered through Ritual for pickup and waited maybe 10 minutes after the pickup time to get my order, which wasn't a big deal. The salad was alright but I was ultimately disappointed because it looked nothing like what I was expecting based on the picture. The "marinated" kale just seemed like plain kale, and apart from the sweet potato, everything was just kinda one color blended together. This bowl is advertised as the highest calorie choice out of the warm bowls which was shocking because all the ingredients are pretty tame calorie-wise.

Solidly average salad bar chain around the office in Midtown that does the job. Chopt offers moderately priced salad/bowls with cold and warms with a seasonal/changing menu. I usually go with the Kale Caesar salad, but tried most recently the Mumbai Masala Bowl (warm bowl) from their seasonal/changing menu. It was pretty good (but was not the most wow-ed) and it did satisfy the healthier and fresher lunch option I wanted. The bowl surprisingly came with a bunch of spinach, which was perfect to get greens in but still be able to indulge in a warm grain bowl.

Getting Chopt happens to a lot of kids when they're young. I'm glad it never happened to me because I think it causes premature ejaculation. But anyway. I could not really like this chain any less. I had massive high hopes because some of my favorite salad places in the country told me they were based off of this model. However their salads are overpriced and under-sized and they only give you a limited amount of toppings, and their dressings don't taste good at all, and I can't possibly get full off the large which is overpriced as I said. A lot of the imitators are doing this idea much better than this franchise is. But, since they are serving healthy stuff and I support that, I'll give 2 instead of 1.

Great concept. Create your own salad with a base of greens of your choice. My salad was mixed well and was tasty and filling. I would have preferred an easier way of choosing the "core" mix-ins. There is a list on the glass, but it does not coordinate with the veggies in the display case-which is how I prefer to choose . Overall, friendly service and healthy, tasty food.

The salads are really good, and the ingredients are really fresh and locally-sourced. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the music was great! That being said, this location could use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. We are Chop't fans, but this isn't my favorite location...

Silly work process, but the product is good, although way overpriced. Had a meslun mix salad with peppers (green and jalapeno), black beans, tomatoes and shrimp with the spa (low cal) tex-mex ranch. The food was very good. However, the process is inefficient. The lady got the salad in the plastic bowl, added the ingredients into that bowl and then passed it to another worker. She dumped all the ingredients onto a counter to chop and then put everything in another bowl to stir and add dressing, then put stuff back in the original bowl. Here's the thing, other than the lettuce, nothing else needed to be chopped. I'm okay with eating shrimp...not shrimp pieces. The grape tomatoes had already been cut. My suggestion would be to chop the lettuce more before hand, then add everything to the bowl it's going to be mixed in to reduce the number of times the product is handled. You'll probably cut overhead by 30% and then maybe I won't have to pay $12 for a salad.

Usually I'm a huge fan of Chop't. This location disappointed me, for a couple reasons... I arrived after 2pm to find a fairly empty restaurant. I ordered up my salad and waited for the next available chopper. Compared to the other locations I've been to, this one only has 2 chopping stations. I can't imagine what this place is like at prime lunch time. Lucky for me the crowd had come and gone. But it looked as though the staff was ready to close up shop. It only took a few minutes for the gal to chop up that lettuce, mix in the dressing and package everything up but she just seemed like she was in a really bad mood the whole time. I'm not looking to become your new bff, but it would be ok for us to exchange "hi, how are you's" Cashing out was easy and bread (aka tortilla) was already wrapped up in foil and available at the cash register, this is a nice idea. I didn't have to worry about that tortilla getting all soggy on my way back to work. Speaking of soggy though my salad had way too much dressing. The gal who put my salad together was not only grumpy but was verrrrrrrrry liberal with the dressing. I'm used to the choppers taking it easy when it comes to dressing this lady was not. Salad was good but it certainly didn't need all that dressing. Overall an a-ok visit. But in the future I'll definitely stick with the fellas down on 17th St.

Mexicali Vegan with shrimp and steak and extra tortilla my fav go too with Mexican Goddess dressing

Though the grass here is a bit pricey they are the most tasty. This particular location is clean the line moves fast and the staff is usually pleasant. As salad places go this is my favorite in terms of selection general portions blah blah in attempting cleaner eating. My gripe only and always the pricing for 4 cups of grass is steep.......one salad is probably the ingredients for 2 months of salad if the ingredients lasted that long......lol

A punny reward for a review of their shop. Great people!

A Hidden Gem That Completely Changed My Perspective on Vegan Food…read more Yesterday was my first visit to Le Botaniste, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The storefront and fresh drinks first caught my attention, so I thought it was mostly a juice or beverage spot. The moment I walked inside, I realized it was so much more. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and everything looked incredibly fresh. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service from Alan. He welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge and enthusiasm made choosing our meals easy. Alan recommended their most popular bowl, the Pasta Bolognese, and mentioned it was also his personal favorite. After just one bite, I understood why. It was rich, hearty, full of flavor, and if no one had told me it was vegan, I never would have guessed. It has officially become one of my favorite plant-based meals. For my mother, Alan recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Bowl, and it was another excellent choice. I asked her if she enjoyed it, and her response was simple: "Yes... and I want more." That pretty much says it all. The drinks were also fresh, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meals. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. Even if you're not vegan, don't let that stop you from trying this place. Le Botaniste proves that plant-based food can be comforting, satisfying, and packed with incredible flavor. A huge thank you to Alan for making our first visit such a memorable one. Great food is important, but great hospitality makes people want to come back. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

The bright and beautiful neo-Victorian vibes complement the visually appealing displays of food and decor that recall a 19th century apothecary. With locations around NYC, as well as in Belgium where it all started, La Botaniste serves up "100% organic plant-based food." The bowls are pretty substantive and they have lighter starters/sides too for those who just want to dabble. You can choose one of their signature bowls (the Tibetan Mama, with its satisfying curry base, comes highly recommended), or build your own from a lineup of bases, sauces, toppings, dressings and garnishes. The food tastes fresh and clean, and I include this place in my rotation of healthy quick salad/bowl/vegetarian meal options in the neighborhood. I love that they have raw vegan treats, an increasingly rare find since several of my favorite raw vegan spots in the city closed down over the years. I'll admit I was first lured in by the antiquey aesthetic and the colorful vintage florals, but the food and environment are both very pleasurable.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I love spinach even plain, but I think it could have used a touch more seasoning. The tofu scramble was seasoned, but it could either use more seasoning or more moisture. The corn muffins were dry and crumbly, definitely the worst part of the dish. My friend said that the sauce brought the burger together and hid the fact that it's a Beyond burger. She also mentioned that she didn't feel heavy after eating the burger, which was nice. Despite us telling the restaurant that we had to go to a musical, service was on the slower side. Sentir is 100% vegan, and I would confidently bring even my carnivore friends here without hesitation. If nobody told you it was vegan, you'd simply think you were eating some of the most creative, flavorful Mexican food you've ever had. It's that good. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this isn't just another restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling pretentious. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind (thanks Camila who served us both days!), knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to talk about the menu and the other restaurants in the group. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. The food completely exceeded every expectation we had. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with bold flavors, and unlike anything we've had before. We found ourselves talking about every bite and immediately discussing what we'd come back to try... which ended up being less than 24 hours later. We were so excited by the food on our first visit that we completely forgot to take pictures! (It became a complete afterthought because we had already scarfed everything down. ) Thankfully, we redeemed ourselves on day two! The cocktails also deserve their own standing ovation. They're creative, beautifully crafted, and every bit as memorable as the food. If you're looking for a restaurant where every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered from the atmosphere and service to the food and drinks, Sentir absolutely delivers. We travel to NYC often and almost never eat at the same restaurant twice because there are so many amazing places to try. The fact that we chose to come back the very next day says everything you need to know. Sentir has officially earned a permanent spot on our "must visit" list every time we're in that part of the city. What We Ate (and absolutely LOVED): Sentir Guac - Easily one of the freshest and most flavorful guacamoles we've ever had. It was served with chips and a deep fried tofu that was reminiscent of a "chicken skin" or something along those lines. I've never tried anything like it and it was good and unique! Carne Asada Tacos - Perfectly seasoned with amazing texture and incredible flavor. Al Pastor Chicken Tacos - Sweet, savory, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Cream of Corn - I wasn't expecting a bowl of corn to stand out the way it did. It was warm, comforting and cheesy. I just wish it came with something to dip with. Unfortunately too much was dripping through the fork and I wanted to savor it all! Chile Rellenos - Beautifully prepared with layers of flavor in every bite. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! Tamal de Carne - Tender, comforting, and packed with incredible flavor. What We Drank: Sentir Michelada - One of the best my husband ever had. The chose Modelo as the beer Little Pitcher - This was a bunch drink. It had grapefruit & orange juice (among other things) but it was shockingly unique and dangerously easy to drink. Café con Ron - The perfect twist or play on an espresso martini but a million times better! Nutty Olivia - I believe this was on "special" and it was a mooth, creative, and another cocktail I'd order again in a heartbeat. It contains gin, which my husband doesn't like but he must have stolen at least 3 sips before I told him to worry about his own drink! Final thought: If a restaurant is good enough to make us skip trying somewhere new in New York City and instead return the very next day, that's about the highest compliment we can give. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a lifelong meat eater, do yourself a favor go!!! I have a feeling you'll be planning your second visit before you even finish your first.

Her attitude was not the best, as when I looked over the menu and made a decision on what I wanted to get, she dismissed me when I waved her over, saying she is not the person taking orders. Um, okay? Then who is? One guy at the bar was nicer, and was able to take my order. I started off with a hot tea since NYC was cold in February, and then decided to have as much as I could of two dishes---the "chicken" yakitori skewers and the Korean BBQ skillet. The skewers came in a set of two, with a white mayo-like sauce drizzle and pickled cucumber on the side. Super delectable, though very filling because of the protein! The skillet was made with classic Chunk Foods protein, the go-to plant-based option for all the meat dishes at City Roots restaurants as far as I know. This was incredibly filling, but the sauce and the texture were all around delicious as well. I could NOT bother to finish the brussels sprouts the skillet came with---way too much to stomach, and I was going to focus on the "meats" since I can always have brussels any other time! The bill by the end of it was PRICEY. That's why I only go to one of these restaurants as a special treat when I visit NYC. Watch out if you order hot tea...$13!! I guess that's the NYC way, but still!
