    Lettuce Wrap Cheeseburger
    Smaly K.

Just finished working out and was hungry, but also on a keto diet, so nothing that I could eat sounded appetizing at the time. Didn't feel like cooking, so decided to get a lettuce wrap burger. Only my second time having a Five Guys burger, and I really like the all the extra toppings you can add on with no additional charge. I was really surprised at how good my lettuce wrap burger came out. I've had a couple lettuce wrap burgers not too long before this, and this was the only one that I can hold and eat like a burger. They wrapped it and put it together very well, and did not become a mess until my last few bites. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and would have enjoyed it more if I could have it with fries. Service was very friendly. Will come back.

Solid, fast burger option and I appreciate that they have a "little" burger (smaller pattie) option. It's always bumping during the rush hours which I find the burgers are definitely prepared rush. Would like to see the buns to be warmer and cheese to be more melted on the burgers. Nonetheless, it all fresh and fills you up. The star of the meal is their fries which are incredibly addicting.

Hot sauce (didn't even use any, this was how much was in the container when I first opened it)

We were craving a burger tonight so we decided to pick up some Five Guys for a quick and easy dinner. We ordered two bacon grilled cheese burgers and added toppings and a regular fry. The burger was tasty, however, the patty was pretty bland and there were barely any toppings on the burger. The fries were unfortunately way too salty. We asked for sides of hot sauce too and they only gave us two containers that were nearly empty. Five Guys is pretty pricey so I wouldn't say the quality of the food was worth the price tonight. Good place to go to if you're looking for a quick bite and craving a burger but it can be a hit or miss here.

When I lived in DC, I ate at Five Guys all the time, especially since it started in northern Virginia. And when I moved back home, I was so happy to learn that the franchise had expanded to the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Though prices have increased, it's still a solid burger. I recently visited Five Guys in Bellevue. I blame it on a YouTube blogger I was watching who was reviewing Five Guys, which had me craving a burger I hadn't had in years! So there I went for lunch and the place was pretty quiet on a weekday. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and pickles and cajun fries. It didn't take long to get, even though they grill the patties as soon as you order, which I appreciate. A standard cheeseburger at Five Guys comes with two patties, so it's a heavy burger. You do have the option of ordering a "small" burger, which has one patty. The burger was tasty and as soon as I took a bite, I was reminded of what I had been missing for so long. The fresh patties were juicy, especially with the melted American cheese and the soft bun kind of melts within the burger. It's messy, for sure. But there's something appetizing and comforting of a classic burger that has all the standard toppings. And the cajun fries, which are the same price as the house fries are ones I'd recommend for some zesty seasoning. Also, a small fry is more than enough for one person, so is good for sharing. All in all, I'm still a fan of Five Guys. I mean, I still wish the burger was six bucks instead of it being a little over eight bucks now. But as it goes with business, prices tend to increase. Nice to know I can be reacquainted with this burger, whenever I get a hankering for a double with cajun fries, my usual order here. PS - They have free peanuts for patrons (just in case a burger won't do)!

Very impressed with our burgers! Freshly cooked, lots of meat, with a beautiful char around the edge. All the toppings you could want (I had white cheddar, lettuce, onion, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, pickle, ketchup and mustard; my other added BBQ sauce). Really great burgers. We ordered large fries to split, and could have shared a small! Huge amount of fries. They were freshly made and piping hot. Their color was beautifully golden, but only about half were crispy. Which was ok since we didn't need to eat all of them! We asked for ketchup and hot sauce to dip the fries, and they forgot to include the hot sauce in our bag. We grabbed a bag of in-the-shell peanuts offered for free on the way out. The crew were cheerful and very nice. My first Five Guys experience and overall it was great.

I noticed that most of the ladies who take the order, push for addons/fixin's, while the males listen to the order quietly. For example, my usual order is double baconmaster no lettuce no tomatoes. When I order with a male, he listens, takes the order and I pay, no drama. When a lady takes the order, she usually interrupts me at the "double baconmaster " and asks if I want onions pickles and whatever. So I have to say no, and say "no lettuce no tomatoes". She then asks again to confirm about onions and pickles etc. NOOOOOO I don't want anything more, just listen to what I want!!! Today in particular, this new lady that I never interacted with, did the same thing and made it very difficult and unpleasant. I wish the servers stopped being pushy and learned to just listen. It's probably ok to ask for extras at the end, but let the customer finish the order please. I've visited other Shake Shacks before, but this was my first time visiting their Kirkland location. The Kirkland location is pretty big and has a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. It's located across from QFC and the kiddie fountains, and so you can enjoy your burger while watching your kids (or dogs) play in the water in the summer. My family ordered: - VEGGIE SHACK ($9.99 for a single patty, $12.99 for a double patty) - Veggie burger packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, and topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and ShackSauce. This is not your typical Impossible burger or black bean burger, although it has more the texture of the latter. The patty exterior is crispy and the interior is soft and mushy, which complements the crunchy pickles well. It's a little on the sweeter side because of the sweet potato and carrots, but overall a satisfying veggie burger. If it weren't for the fries and shake, I'd probably get a double patty as one patty wasn't satiating enough for lunch. - 'SHROOM BURGER ($9.99) - Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. This was another unique vegetarian burger as I've never had a mushroom substituted for a patty before, much less, a fried mushroom stuffed with cheese. If you like mozzarella sticks, this is the burger for you! - CHEESEBURGER ($7.99 for a single patty, $10.99 for a double patty, $13.99 for a triple patty) - A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, and your choice of toppings on a toasted potato bun. We were a little disappointed by this burger as it doesn't come with topping by default and so it was a pretty plain burger. Apparently you have to ask for the toppings when ordering at the register (which we didn't know) or order via kiosk or online. - FRIES ($4) - enough talk about the burgers, these crinkle cut fries might have been the BEST FRIES we've ever had. They were burning hot right out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They had just the right amount of salt and had a good body to them to, where even the longest strands didn't break. We loved these so much, that we ended up ordering an extra basket after we finished off the first. - VANILLA SHAKE ($6) - House-made vanilla frozen custard with real vanilla. I prefer my shakes on the thicker side, but this didn't quite meet the mark as it was more liquidy than I would've liked (perhaps because it's custard-based). While it supposedly contains real vanilla, there aren't any vanilla bean flecks and so it most likely just uses vanilla extract. It was cold and refreshing, but can't say I'd go out of my way for it. - COFFEE SHAKE ($6) - Dark roast coffee hand-spun with our house-made vanilla frozen custard. The coffee taste was kind of flat and tasted more like a Frappuccino. The lid also wasn't screwed on properly (or had extra liquid that got stuck underneath the lid) and so it spilled everywhere. Service was great and we got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. They bring the food to your table and you bus yourself. The outdoor tables were relatively clean.
