They get 2 stars for the fries which appear to be cut in house judging by the sacks of potatoes everywhere. Good salt, seasoning and texture. I can see why they included fries in their name. The other thing included in their name is burgers. I had a cheeseburger which was bland, greasy and room temperature. So room temperature in fact that it actually did not melt the cheap processed Kraft American cheese. I had 2 bites and thought...I could make a better burger at home. You may be able to pile on the different condiments but why would you want to when they are cheap and gross. Not sure if I'll be back but if I do, it will only be for fries. I ate here for the first time in November. Its absolute delectable. I don't live in this area, but a friend insisted he knew a great place to get a great burger. Oh Yah! And the fries oh my. I've visited 5 Guys in multiple locations. Consistent quality, good hot freely made food. At this location, Redmond, WA, Luis L. greeted me at the register. He's over the top, clearly loves his job and was super helpful. The folks at the grill are keeping the food rolling while maintaining a steady stream of banter with each other. They work well together and clearly love what they are doing. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. The food was great, the fries hot, the ingredients on my burger fresh and tasty. 5 Guys is one of my favorite burgers and the Redmond, WA didn't disappoint. As an aside, if you have a peanut allergy, 5 Guys isn't for you. There are bags of peanuts in the seating area, people munching peanuts around you and the fries are cooked in peanut oil. read more

HELL yeah. This place is great. Service is always friendly and relaxed, dining area is clean and comfortable. Oh and their food is friggin awesome too, and they give you heaps of it. The free peanuts piled here and there are a terrific feature as well, fun to snack on while waiting on your food. Protip: The smallest order of fries can feed 3 people, or 1 very hungry person. I love having to eat my way through the mound of fries in the bag just to reach the other treasures buried there. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the variety of fixn's they offer can't be beat in terms of freshness and flavor. And they're all included in the price! Madness. They can be messy, but hey! Horrible. Ordered on line for pick up. Web said would be ready in 8 min. Was there in 10 min. Berger's were ready but could no figure how to process on line orders vs store. Waited 11 min after Berger's were done for fries to complete order. Then plan for xtra cajun frites and when Finally got home NO Cajun fries an Berger's were totally cold . I've been here before. The thing about a burger is a lot of calories are consumed so you want it to be worth it. The fries smelled burned, and are super greasy. Just opened and heard a lot of hype about how good they are. The place seems like a slightly fancier fast food burger place. The peanuts you can eat and put shells on the floor is odd but neat. They use peanut oil for the fries. Had a bacon cheese burger and shared a regular fry. You get a good amount of fries to share for 2 with a regular fry. I didn't get any difference in having them fried in peanut oil. I thought the fries were a bit dry and not crispy at all. I was somewhat disappointed in them. The burger is very affordable as it is a double patty and all the toppings are free. A good selection of toppings. The meat was juicy, fresh and the cheese was good. However the meat lacked flavor. The bun feel apart a bit and I only had one small piece of bacon (although the bacon was good). I know this place just opened and I don't know if maybe a few things were off. I will try this place again as the food is priced well and the food was ok, just not great. Place was a big loud. Wish they had a bit more things on the menu (milkshakes, onion rings) In Seattle I like Red Mill Burger and the Counter. Plus in Woodinville Teddy's is great. read more

Holy crap! green pepper on a burger is amazing. I'm soooo glad they have a "little fry" option. Went here today for lunch. If you love a good gut bomb of greasy food, Five Guys is THE place to go. We usually hit up Wibbley's but now that Five Guys has arrived in town... um... um... well... We ordered the following: -Little Hamburger with jalapeño, mustard, hot sauce: they messed up my order and gave me a little bacon cheeseburger with jalapeño, mustard, and hot sauce. I didn't complain cause I still got charged for the regular! XD -Bacon Cheeseburger with BBQ sauce: my boyfriend's staple order here. -Fries -Two regular sodas (free refills, so why pay for the bigger one?) All of the above came to $17.80 with tax! (!!!) And yes, it is a bit loud here -- louder than their Fry's/Renton location. It was all good though cause instead of trying to talk over all the noise (they had "Hot for Teacher" blaring which was kinda awesome), my boyfriend and I just read each others lips the whole time! :D P.S. They get super busy around lunch time. Although after having sat around for a while, I figured out the best window time for lunch is...wait for it.... NOT TELLING!! My Wife and I decided to try the new 5 guys, with all the hype an all. We ordered 2 small burgers and split a small fry and drink, close to 20 bucks, cum on, really. Way overpriced. We got our burgers, soggy bun. Nothing worse then a soggy bun. greasy burgers our good, but to much is to much, And the fries? Not that great. The burgers are better than McDonald's, but then again McDonald's has the worst burgers. We will definitely stick to Dicks in Seattle, Even with paying the 520 toll, Its still cheaper than 5 guys. read more

Fantastic grilled cheese with all the toppings you want. Great fries, Cajun or plain, made with freshly cut potatoes. Not healthy but you don't come here for healthy food. Brand new in Redmond (right behind Sears Overlake) months back. Went there about 2 weeks after they opened. Still training employee which is ok. Free peanuts if that's your thing. Lots of selection on what goes into your burger, but its pretty costly for what you get. A lot of people rave for their frys but I found it just OK, nothing really special as well as the burger. For half the cost, Dick's drive in has pretty much the same thing. The decor is nice and bright. Warning to those allergic to peanuts, its everywhere. French Fries are fried in peanut oil so beware for any to go orders you may have your friend get for you. Overall, meh. Not someplace I would visit often. read more

Hard to beat Five Guys burgers and fries! The cheese is always perfectly melted and creamy, while the bacon is always crispy! This particular location has cheerful and friendly employees. I feel like I should preface this with the fact that I LOVE Five Guys, the Renton location is great and Lynnwood is pretty good too. Unfortunately the new Redmond location is staffed by the best of the best of bored eastside teenagers. My husband and I went in the other night for dinner with the kids, not a big deal, it's happened before. I had a little bacon cheeseburger, aside from grilled mushrooms that had no flavor at all, it was good. Husband had a cheeseburger, it was falling apart and required a knife and fork but it was good. Now the kids, they don't eat burgers, thankfully they have grilled cheese and as a special treat they get bacon with it. Bacon makes them happy! But like others before us, they skipped the bacon. I took them back over and they stood there bewildered by the fact that we actually wanted the bacon. After contemplating the screw up for a few he asks what I want then. Gee I don't know, the damn bacon! So they wrap up a few pieces for the kids to fix their mistake and we carry on eating. But not before the little punk at the bacon station says to the guy next to him, I didn't put it on there because who would actually order that? I did Bitch, next time follow the order! The fries were really brown on the outside but still hard on the inside, still not sure how they manged that one, but they did and it sucked! I'll be back, it's close to home and easy to get to, but I'm going to give it a month or two in hopes that they get rid of the little brats working there and getting the cooking issues solved too. read more
